I'll probably have more fanart to post by tonight or tomorrow, but until then...
Here are some study drawings I did of dinosaur skeletons at the Maryland Science Center in August! Sorry the pencil didn't pick up so well in the scan... There's a full sized version here: http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs29/f/2009/255..._DarkWolf91.png (http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs29/f/2009/255/e/1/Dinosaur_Studies_by_DarkWolf91.png)
that you can probably see better :lol
But I'll embed the smaller photobucket file too, just so this post doesn't look empty :p

Although I don't know much of Dinausaur species, I always like to learn about it, thanks for sharing.
Those are very well made, quite an artist :yes
-
Hello:
Those drawings are very well done, thanks for posting them here :DD .
-
Thanks, guys! Glad you liked 'em!
Here's a pastel piece I did in Chincoteague last weekend. Didn't get quite as much drawing done as I wanted, but ah well. Also got to apply the knowledge gained in my Color Theory class :smile
Woo!

Very nice and well done. Thanks for sharing and posting it here.

Hey guys! Figured I would start posting in here, as I'm really more prolific with art than you'd think by looking at my fanart thread :lol
Plus I'm very excited to be animating again! I'm very rusty with it, but I intend to practice as much as I can steal the time for :D

-
Awesome, didn't know this thread existed, keep it up! ^^spike

Painted a dino for a charity auction last weekend, loosely based on a utah raptor. Meant to make the arms more wing-like, but forgot. Oh well :lol

Wow, great drawing ;)
-
This is truly amazing! :wow The details on the feathers are really impressive and the raptor's expression looks very natural and even funny. Everything from the coloring to the details and the anatomy on the character is nearly perfect. Also, the background is mind-blowing! The light looks awesome and even the clouds in the background are just... great in absence of a better word. The clouds, the trees and the vegetation look like actual details from an old Disney concept art and they're really good. I really love this painting! :D

Very awesome I love it it's very good and well done

Now that... is just awesome. The details, the colours, the facial expression, the background, the shading, the realistic look... everything on the painting you made is just perfect. I just love it. You're too awesome!
-
Yeah I also really loved the colors you used on this also very cool
-
oh boy is that ever amazing. Wonderfully detailed. I can't stop looking at all of those tiny feathers and the shading on the beak.
-
Wow, great drawing ;)
Thanks!

Thanks :D I tend to use orange and purple too much, but it's really my favorite combination for dusk scenes. The background was very experimental, as I usually get too caught up in the details and make backgrounds a bit cluttered. I don't think I did that this time, though! Glad you like it :smile

Thank you!

Aww, thank you :smile It was definitely a new style for me, I'm glad it turned out good!

Thanks! The feathers were actually a lot of fun- it's kind of relaxing to put in all of those details with ink. The painting part is where I start to get nervous :lol

You're very welcome anytime
-
:!
how I missed that?
!!!
:wow
Are you professional artist?
It looks like from museums! So amazing. speechless
-
Looking forward to seeing your next drawing
-
:wow
Snik, thanks for the high praise! Can't believe I missed it!
Well, looks like I have some more links to fix in this thread, but for now...
I'm taking another monthly art challenge, this time Paleovember! I figured there might be some interest for that topic here, so I'll be posting the results in batches of five :smile

(damn you, photobucket...)
Every of them is just great! :D
and even some chicken is there? XD
-
These are amazing drawings! :DD Can't wait to see more of them!
-
:wow
-
Great job with these drawings! The realism is quite amazing and the details are really good. I especially like Baryanox's expression and Carcharodontosaurus menacing pose but the chicken-thing is quite funny too (even if it's body looks rather small but that's likely because of its kind). :lol It's rather cool that you showed the ground in the last two pictures too. Overall, each one of these is really impressive as can be expected from you. :yes Thank you for sharing them with us!
-
Thanks for the comments! I do tend to draw oviraptors like goofy giant chickens- I like them best that way :P Been working on a final film project (which I might share here :smile) so I haven't had much time, but still been doing Paleovember stuff. This set isn't that great, but I promise the next one is better :lol
6-Thylacoleo
7-Archaeopteryx
8-Beelzebufo
9-Sharovipteryx
10-Campylognathoides (Free day)

I wish I could see more of your old ones! Curse you, Photobucket!!!! :anger x(cera
Anyway, your drawings are really awesome! Keep up the good work. I can barely draw to save my life, and by hand? Forget it (see my LBT fan art thread and know that those were drawn on a computer!!)
-
Can't add anything more to my previous speeches. :)
-
Wonderful drawings, as always! :)
-
Once again, awesome job with these drawings! While all of these are marvelous, my favorite ones are the second and the third! The Archaeopteryx's anatomy and feathers looks great and especially the toad's mouth is done very well. The first picture is a bit more scruffy than the others but as always, it's great to see art from you! Amazing job once again! :yes
-
Here's her Deviant Art page :) (https://kelpgull.deviantart.com/)
;)
I agree that the first badge was a tad more awesome but they're still really really impressive! :smile
-

*applauses*

Absolutely stunning work again! :D The details on these creatures are truly great and the poses really work. My favorite ones are probably Xiphactinus, Pakicetus and Dracorex (even if its arms look a bit too weird). The last two pictures have really odd anatomies but I'm not sure if it's because of the animals themselves or the drawings. Other than that, great job! :yes
-
Way to go! :smile
-
These are all really cool. I especially like that you decided to draw a tree :p

Thanks! It's been fun to draw so many different animals. For the last two, the animals do have rather extreme anatomies, but I may have enlarged their heads a little bit in addition to that because I find it funny :lol
These are all really cool. I especially like that you decided to draw a tree :p
Thanks! I once drew this kind of tree spitting acid at some sort of prehistoric alligator in middle school, and I've never been able to forget about it since :p
Way to go! :smile
Thank you!
*applauses*
*bows* :lol
There's only one more set after this one! Also a full illustration I'm supposed to do, but that might come a bit late :p
21-Tiktaalik
22-Simosuchus
23-Leedsichthys
24-Struthiomimus(Free/Break)
25-Pachyrhachis
(https://i.imgur.com/pqwdhT8.png)
-
:O How more of these we will see?
-
Looks great as always! The perspective in the first picture is really amazing as is the overall smooth and clean look of the Pachyrhachis! The struthiominus looks a bit too ostrich or chicken-like to my taste but as a drawing it's as good as the others! Awesome job again! :D
-
Another great collection! :)
-
Thanks again for the great feedback! To answer Sneak's question, this is the last set! Though technically day 30 is supposed to be a full illustration. That will come... eventually :lol
26-Cartorhynchus
27-Megalograptus
28-Proganochelys
29-Birkenia

I WANT TO SEE MORE Of THIS!
wonderful!
-
You're forcing me to repeat myself by posting this much great stuff! :smile The megalocraptus looks disgusting enough (I don't like even modern scorpions :p ) and the details and shading in the turtle-creature are quite awesome. This was a really nice challenge and it was a pleasure to see all of these drawings! Thanks for them! :)
-
Great challenge with splendid results overally! :D
