Before I begin, I will make one thing clear.
Any of your own characters are welcome.
This is the story: a carnivore enters the valley. He is exactly like Chomper, except he is evil on the inside. He is also very cunning.
These are the currently open characters that are required:- Grown-ups (They aren't required, although I would like to have them.)

I am my own character: Vylor. Check the characters topic and look for me.

Vylor was alone. He could not feel anybody near him, so he began to search harder. He came upon a massive gathering of dinosaurs. The valley was enormous, and lush with trees and colors. He thought, "This place seems sheltered. I have endured too many hardships. I must make allies, and quickly."

ooc: and like many others who have questioned my RP's, I must ask, are we allowed to use our own personal OC's here as well? and a good name for our so called villain.. how's Seph sound?

Denton, who after a long time had lived a sheltered life near some pond was amongst the herds, with the valley children. They giggled and played with one another unbeknown st of a certain newcomer to the valley.

Vylor ran quickly to the valley's entrance. His strides were smooth and fast. His speed allowed him to get into the valley unnoticed. "Good," he thought to himself, "The hard part is over. Now time to find food and friends."

I'm also thinking of joining this RPG. I'd like to use one of my characters from my FanFic that I'm currently working on.

Dante stood atop one of the peaks on the valley wall when he spotted the figure running into the area. Not wanting to sound an alarm unnessecarily, he decided instead to pursue the figure, and ran after it.

Longtail happened to be washing his face with the water from the Thundering Falls and just happened to hear Littlefoot and the others nearby. Finishing up as quickly as possible, he jumped out of the cool waters and shook himself dry, then ran over and said "Hey guys can I play too?"

(( Mind if I try Petrie? I'd like to see how well I can rp him. ))
Petrie turned in his flight to fly over near Longtail. "Sure, pick team and join in." He said.
Meanwhile Mim had been bathing near where Diver and her siblings were playing with their mother. She saw the fun they were having and dove into the water. She continued her bathing while watching them have fun. After she felt clean enough she swam around a bit herself, then headed out of the water so she could sit and watch as she dried off before going off in search of a bit of food.
((Diver being my other oc. She's one of Ducky's & Spike's sisters. ))

Vylor noticed the group and tried to make himself noticeable. He did not want to join them unless he was invited.

Mim was almost dry, still watching Diver and her siblings play with their mother. She thought about what sort of area would she want to go to eat today. She wasn't in the mood for snapping shell, or any creepy crawlers things now. She would try green food not to far off once she was fully sure she was fully dry.

Petrie was flying around watching the others play, joining in when he could. During one of his flying he happened to look around and saw someone he had not seen before. He flew back toward the others calling out, "Hey guys, me see new person over there, he longneck like Littlefoot." He said, landing on the on the ground and pointing in the direction of where the person was before he took off into the air.
(OOC: forgot to ask which group playing, but I assume Littlefoot's group where Petrie and Longtail are.)

"Ah! They noticed me!" thought Vylor to himself.
Just then, Vylor sensed a new mind. This one was watching him. He could not tell if this was a friend or a foe.

Longtail looked at where Petrie was pointing and decided to follow the gang as they took off. 'I wonder where they're going in such a hurry' thought Longtail to himself

"Now they are coming here. Perfect! Finally something went right!" though Vylor to himself as the group ventured over here.

Longtail was the first to land out of the group, but he sighed and took a step back in fear as he said "Hi....whats your name?"

"Vylor." Said Vylor, making sure this flyer could see his gold eyes, and that they seemed to dig into his mind.

Petrie flew over with the others, landing not to far away. "Hi Vylor, me Petrie."

"I can sense acceptance here. This could be a perfect place for anyone to live." Commented Vylor.
"Good to meet you, Petrie. And you?" asked Vylor to the other flyer.

Petrie nodded, "Me glad to meet you too Vylor." He said.

"Hello! My name is Littlefoot!" said another longneck.
"Good to meet you, Littlefoot. My name is Vylor." Replied Vylor.

(I have my fan character that I'll use in this RPG) (He's a raptor btw.)

Dante had caught up to them, and seeing Vylor, swung himself out of the tree he had landed on. Almost. He caught his foot on the branch, and did an awkward faceplant in front of the others. Looking up with an embarrassed grin on his face, he said...
"Hi there! I'm Dante. Dante S. Starfall. Nice to meet you. And you are?..."

"Vylor." Said Vylor, making sure this flyer could see his gold eyes, and that they seemed to dig into his mind.
Longtails body began shaking like a leaf in the wind, but then this familiar feeling took over and his right eye dilated and changed color from Quartz pink to Sunburst yellow as he said "Nice to meet you Vylor...my name is Longtail."

At the sound of Vylor's voice, Dante suddenly felt a sharp pain behind his left eye, and also saw the strange black mark on his right arm begin to twist and move. He clutched at it, but stayed there, not sure he could trust the newcomer. Not after the effect he had on himself and Longtail...

Petrie said, "You in great valley, nice place, plenty friends here." He flow a short distance, landing on something, or someone's back, so he would not have to be looking up all the time.

Dante looked over at Petrie, his eyes intense, and asked, in a worried voice...
"Has my left eye...changed color like Longtail's?..."

Petrie looked over at Dante, to focused on the other person to notice at first Dante. He nodded. "Wow, how you do that, you teach me trick to do that?" He asked, curious how this trick was done and if he could learn how to do it to show to all his friends and family.

"No Petrie I don't think he can..." said Longtail as he looked over at Dante as well to see the change. 'I can't believe this...Vylor forced me to change...but I've always been in control...I have to make sure he doesn't do that again!' the young flyer thought to himself

Dante raised his hand to his face, resting it near his eye, thinking...
Who is this guy?... He's partially awakened the darkness inside of me, as well as stirred up...Him....

Longtail then drew all his attention back to Vylor and asked "So Vylor, how did you come into the valley...It couldn't have been easy..." he left the sentence to hang in the air waiting for someone to finish it.

Petrie shook his head. "It not trick, then how he do it?" he thought than an idea came to him. He looked up, "Maybe it magic." He said.

Longtail not wanting his secret to be found out, he said in reply to Petrie's statement with a smile"Maybe...maybe it was magic."

"How magic happen? How magic do that?" Petrie asked.

Longtail still not breaking eye contact with Vylor said to Petrie "That is the one part I don't know...but I'm sure we'll find out one day."

"Maybe Mr. Thicknose know, he now lots." Petrie said.

"Actually, there was no one watching the entrance. I also happen to be a very good climber." Replied Vylor. "Also, I am not that large, so I could get in here virtually unnoticed by sharp-teeth." Good, Vylor thought to himself, I am fitting in. Somehow, though, the magic in my blood is leaking out. I will have to find a way to stop it before it gets out of control. Some are beginning to be affected by it.
Littlefoot said, "Well, there are some ways into the valley, but they are only reachable by kids like us."
OOC: Two things.- I am declaring that all out of context chat will be in a new topic.
- Starfall, I think it would be a good idea if you were to post a topic in the Characters topic on your OC.

Petrie nods, "Me remember those." He said. "Kids and small grown ups." He added.

"So," started Vylor, and stopped. He had noticed that Longtail's eye color had changed. "What happened to your eyes?" asked Vylor, concerned. He wanted to take attention away from him. I wonder, are any of them imbued with supernatural gifts?

Petrie looked at Vylor, "You here alone?" He asked.

"Yes. The only friend I knew is far away. We got separated on our way here. She must know the way, though, for I told her." Said Vylor. He was hoping for a familiar face.

"Maybe she already here." Petrie said, hoping to cheer his new friend up.

"I know she isn't." Said Vylor. Where is she? She should have been here by now. She better arrive soon.
"What does she look like?" asked Littlefoot.

"Maybe flier or Guido see her." Petrie said.

Vylor decided to tell them how she looks. "She is a long neck like me, but the colors are switched. Where I am golden, she is silver. Where I am silver, she is gold."

"So," started Vylor, and stopped. He had noticed that Longtail's eye color had changed. "What happened to your eyes?" asked Vylor, concerned. He wanted to take attention away from him. I wonder, are any of them imbued with supernatural gifts?
Longtail said to Vylor "My eye changes color like this when I feel threatened by someone....or something. And I'd be happy to help you look for your friend. 'As long as no one knows I'm half sharptooth then there won't be a problem....as long as no one can sniff me out.' said Longtail to himself

Dante looked at Vylor, and deciding he could trust him, said...
"Count me in. I'll help find your friend too..."
If, that is...Sankakku... the demon doesn't awaken...

"We ask flyers if they seen your friend." Petrie said.

Longtail looked over at Petrie and said "That's a good idea! Come on let's go find your brothers and sisters!" just as Longtail's right eye returned to it's normal pink color.

Petrie nods, he then takes off, "We find them or mommy and ask, then ask others." He said as he flew off in search of his mother or siblings.

"yeah let's get going!" said Longtail with an enthusiastic grin on his face as he spread his wings, and took to the sky along side Petrie.

Petrie leads Longtail over to where his family usually is. He saw his mother and flew over to where she was. "Me meet new longneck today and he wonder if his friend here yet." He said then described basically what she looked like.

Longtail landed next to Petrie and exclaimed "Yes she is a longneck and her skin shines like the frozen sky water when the bright circle shines on it. Have you seen her?"

Petrie nods to what Longtail said, "Maybe other flyers have."

Dante had run off, searching the area for Vylor's friend, easily leaping between tree branches as he searched. As he did, he hoped that he would be able to restrain the darkness inside him...

"Do you find me threatening?" asked Vylor to Longtail. That rests the case. It must be my magic. There is no alternative.

Argaya was entering the valley. Vylor really knows how to get into protected places. I would never have been able to get in here without his instructions.

Longtail turned around hearing Vylor's voice, deciding it be best to answer him Longtail lowered himself out o f Petries nest and said "Well I did at first, but now that I know you a little better, I don't feel as scared." then he gave a short laugh as he then said "Unless you actually plan to hurt me."

"I personally am not planning on hurting anybody. It is just that the reaction to me you had made me assume that I was threatening you in some way." Said Vylor. She's here! Finally!

Now, time to reach out so he can sense me. Thought Argaya to herself. Lets just hope that he can recognize my appearance.

Petrie looked down at Vylor, "How you get here so fast?" he asked.

Dante looke at the tall tree in front of him, and deciding it would be a good vantage point to look for Vylor's friend, ran at it, scaling it easily. Looking into the distance, he noticed a Longneck that matched Vylor's description, and decided...
That must be her! I guess I'd better tell him that his friend is here...
With this thought, Dante leapt off the treetop, and kick-jumped off other trees to land on the ground, running to announce the good news...

"I was wondering the same thing. How did you get here so fast?" asked Littlefoot. He was out of breath.
"I am good at running." Replied Vylor. I should be working harder at concealing my physical abilities. They should not have noticed my speed or endurance.

Argaya noticed Vylor. He was with others. Good, he has made friends. Now we can integrate ourselves without much trouble.

Just as Vylor and Littlefoot finished their conversation, Dante ran up, skidded past them, and promptly hit a rock. Dazed, but unhurt, he turned around and walked back over to them, proudly saying...
"Hey Vy! I think your friend is here! I saw her a few minutes ago!"

"I feel here. Thanks Dante!" said Vylor. I finally shall have some help in my magical control. I should warn her that her magic might be leaking out.
"What is her name?" asked Littlefoot.

Argaya listened to Vylor. She found out what was happening in the forest. That is why those trees were changing. She quickly began trying to seal up her magic.

"Hmmm, you know, based on where she was when I saw her, she should be gettin' kind of close to here by now. Funny thing is, some of the trees near where I was had... changed somehow... Wierd."
Dante said, thinking about what had happened when he first met Vylor...
I wonder...Is he an alter too? If he is...Then he must be... No!
Dante shook his head, trying to supress the Sankakku's will, and maintain his sanity...

"Her name is Argaya. She is not just a friend; she is my sister." Said Vylor. "Strange things seemed to happen to us in the Mysterious Beyond." That should be getting rid of any questions on our relationship. We can avoid more questions about our past.

I should be going down to meet him. Argaya began running to Vylor.

"That's Cool. Hey... what do you mean by Strange Stuff? Like what?"
Dante asked, glad that Sankakku hadn't awakened again...

"It mainly affected trees. They began to change their shape. Sometimes, animals appeared that we had never seen before." Replied Vylor.

Argaya was only a few minutes away. Good, the trees aren't changing anymore.

Petrie looked at Vylor, not sure about him anymore. "He get around fast like rainbowfaces." He said, meaning the rainbowfaces that had visited the valley shortly before the falling rock hit the area and his uncle Pterano was up to his tricks and Ducky was taken.
((Feels like I should bring in a magic character or the tourist, with all the magic and such going on ))

"Argaya!" "Vylor!" The two ran forward to meet each other. You need to show me how to seal up my magic. Vylor told Argaya.
(OOC: I should let you know that the two share a mental connection.)

For reasons he couldn't explain Longtail suddenly started feel cold, and tired then began to wonder 'Being a guardian seems to bring me nothing but trouble, but I wonder if Vylor and his sister are guardians as well.'
He then asked "Well Petrie my uncle is a rainbow face, and he can run very fast....well when he wants to anyway."

"It is finally good to see a familiar face Argaya. Here are some people I would like you to meet." Said Vylor, gesturing at the group behind him.
"My name is Littlefoot." Said Littlefoot.

Petrie said, partially to himself. "Maybe those rainbowfaces behind this, they behind trouble with falling rock before."

"And I'm Dante! Dante S. Starfall, at your service. Nice to meet you!"
Said Dante, a goofy grin on his face...

Longtail spread his wings, lowered his head, and said "My name is Longtail. Nice to meet you." Then a thought crossed his mind...'I don't know why but I can't shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen...and soon.'

Petrie flew off in a certain direction talking to himself. Magic and weird things going on, me tell Mim, she grown up and know what to do, she lived in mysterious beyond all her life till she get here.

As Dante made eye contact with Argaya, he felt a cold shiver run down his spine, and he thought to himself...
These two... There's something that tells me that they're going to make life a little more... interesting...

Longtail saw the shiver run through Dante and asked "Are you okay." He then decided not to make eye contact with Argaya.

"I..It's nothing. I'll tell you later." Dante replied, averting his eyes from Argaya...

Petrie flew over to one of the places Mim stayed. He had to go to the second place before he found her. He wished she stayed in one place then wondering all over the place.
He landed on a branch near where she was saying, "Something happen, something magic. No know if it bad or scary." He said his voice a bit in fear.
Mim turned to Petrie, "Relax a moment then give me the details. Perhaps with the evidence you saw we can reach a logical conclusion."
Petrie nodded, he breathed in deeply then started giving her the details of what he had seen. She picked up a stick and started to make simple drawings in the dirt as Petrie went on.

Longtail nodded at Dante's statment and didn't say anything. THen he noticed something..."Hey where is Petrie?"

Petrie finished his story, "Why you make marks in dirt while me tell story?" He asked.
Mim lifed the stick, "Some things are easier to see this way. This is you and these are..."She said pointing to the other doodles and saying who each one represented.
"Me see." Petrie said.
"Now to get at the cause of the effect you saw we can more easily examine the facts you provided." Mim said. She drew a circle around the two who were effected. "Now do you see anything in common between these?" She asked. Petrie looked at them then though of the story he had told Mim.

"Hmmm... It seems our friend has disappeared... well, I'm sure he's fine... at least I hope so..." Dante said as he too noticed Petries having vanished...
"Hey Longtail? Did you get a strange feeling from those two? Like... Like something bad was coming?"

A voice then came from the back of the cave "Mim who are you talking to...Oh hello Petrie." said Cyrix "But again I must ask What are you two talking about?"

Longtail looked over at Dante, and whispered "Yeah...I did..I just can't figure out how they do it."

Mim looked down at the doodles she made, then looked back at the voice. "Petrie has observed an interesting phenomena and I was attempting to put it into a form we could more easily see to see if one of my observations may be correct based on what he told me." She said.
Petrie nodded, not understanding much of what she said, "Yes." He said, thinking it was easier to just agree instead of asking her to explain what she said.

"Okay, good. I'm not losing my mind. I guess this means that we had better be ready, huh?" Dante said, looking Longtail in the eye.

Longtail nodded and replied "Yeah no kidding, I would hate to see the others get hurt especially when I'm supposed to be watching over them."

"Right...Right... I'm gonna be in the glade, working on my skills. Think I've gotten a little rusty recently." Dante said distractedly as he walked off to train...

Mim looked at what she had made. "Hmm, do you see what I see Petrie. There could be one cause. It is unlikely to be the area since nothing there has changed." She said.
Petrie noded, "Same, but some grass eaten, but me no see."
Mim pointed at the two that were effected and circled them. "Look and do you see anything that is new?"
"Vylor new, he just arrive in valley." Petrie said.
"And this... thing happened when?" She asked, catching herself to remember to use simpler terms.
"A little after we meet Vylor." Petrie said, "could he be cause?"
"Could be, though there is no direct evidence, it is one possibility. Wether it is magic or not will remain to be seen. But you did well figuring it out." She said. Smiling a bit to Petrie, she would rather he figure it out then she just say what she had suspected. It may help increase his self confidence and perhaps ability to think, not a bad effect if it did occur.
Petrie shook his head, not fully understanding, "Observing, evidence? you sound like other rainbowfaces, they talk in riddles and tell story of cold fire stone having magic powers that was untrue." He said.

Cyrix walked over to Petire and Mim then stated "Now Petrie I'm sure those two rainbow faces were just trying to make you see more than you see. Oh my, I'm starting to sound like Ruby." He said with a chuckle

Longtail stood still for a moment and said "Wait for me Dante, sorry Vylor, I gotta go." he said with a frown

Mim nods to what Cyrix said. "It could be what they were doing. I wish I had met them." She said, looking at the doodle she made of Vylor, wondering what he exactly was and how he did the things that Petrie had observed. She also wondered if he miss understood something.
Petrie looks from Mim's drawing to Cyrix, "Maybe, they talk odd though. He seem nicer and wanting to tell us stuff, but she wouldn't let him. Some stuff he say me not understand." He thought trying to remember some of what they said, "Like, there is this enormous black...then, the lights you see at night are actually...me wonder what he about to say when she stop him."

Cyrix gave a short heatfelt laugh and said to the flyer "I'm sure he meant nothing. He was just lost in the moment of talking with you kids."

"Me not so sure, she stopped him from saying something but not at other times." Petrie said, "Me think somewhere there is an enormous black something, probably a big black scary something." He said afraid, "and what are the night lights really, not just lights. Maybe something scary too." He said.
Mim nodded, putting the mystery of Vylor aside for the moment, plenty of time to explore that later. "I have my own theories about certain things. As well as certain observations I have made." She said.
"And how they travel so fast, like Vylor travel fast."

Argaya and Vylor were running to a secluded glade. They wanted to be alone for a while.
"It seems," said Vylor, "That there are others here who have supernatural gifts. Longtail and Dante were both affected by our magic, while no one else was. That can't be just coincidence."
"Should we tell them?" asked Argaya.

Littlefoot looked to see everyone he was with leave leaving him alone. He shrugged and started looking for his old friends. He first went over to where Ruby and Chomper's caves were. He found them a short distance away still eating. Chomper had found a nest of buzzers and Ruby was a short distance off near a bush of ground stars. He headed over to where they were.
"Mmm, spicy, you want some Ruby?" He asked.
"Maybe later." Ruby said, neither one seeing Littlefoot yet.

"Not unless there is a real reason to." Replied Vylor.
"Like what?" asked Argaya.

Somewhere outside the valley, a dark figure appeared. He looked at his body. This will do.

While still training with Dante, Longtail's right eye changed color once more, and he suddenly started having chest pains, and as he collapsed on the ground from the pain he stuttered out..."S-s-storm...coming....and....the eye...is dark...d-d-defend...yourself"

"The clouds of misfortune are gathering," Said Vylor, "An evil force has been unleashed on the land."
"But where is it? Where is it going? Where is it from?" asked Argaya.
"Something wicked this way comes." Replied Vylor.

Dark-Eye was running as fast as he could. His speed was incredible, considering he was only a child velociraptor. Not only am I more cunning, but I am more powerful. He was running towards life. He was running towards energy. He was running towards the destruction of his enemies. He was running to the Great Valley.

Littlefoot approached them, giving the nest where Chomper was a wide burth as he went around it. He didn't want to have to run from them and jump into some water as he had to before. "Hey Chomper, Ruby." He said to them.
Ruby looked up waving to Littlefoot, "Hello my friend, hello." She said.
Chomper swallowed his mouthful of buzzers and ran over to where Littlefoot was saying, "Littlefoot!" Littlefoot lowered his head so he could nuzzle Chomper as he hugged him back.

Vylor and Argaya left the glade and walked together to the watering hole, talking all the way.
"This new form is going to take some getting used to." Said Vylor.
"It feels fine for me. Then again, I was very similar before I changed." Replied Argaya

As Longtail collapsed, Dante looked over at him, worried. But then, he too felt the familiar sting of the demon within him stirring, as well as the searing pain as his body tried to supress the curse on his right arm...
What's wrong? Why is this happening?ThEre iS GreAt eVil ComIng... DarK is The eYe of ThIs ShAdow... I muSt FiGhT!!! What? What does that...
"Augh!" Datne could hold out no longer, and collapsed, crying out in anguish as his body managed to supress the curse from awakening...
That's good... I kept the darkness... from awakening... Was his last thought as he lost conciousness...

"I sense a disturbance [in the force]. I think two people collapsed from a surge of energy. But not from us." Said Vylor.
"I feel it two. I think it is Longtail and Dante. We should go check up on them." Replied Argaya.
With that said, they began searching for Longtail and Dante.
Meanwhile, clouds were starting to gather.

Chomper backed away from Littlefoot. "What do you want to do?" He asked.
Ruby nods, "We have to be doing something even if we are just standing here so why not do something fun."
Littlefoot "We could do the seed toss, or I could watch you to do the log running game." He said.

Mim looks at Petrie, "Maybe they were talking in some confusing terms some grown ups use when they forget children do not understand every word yet." She said.
Petrie nods, "Could be that."

"I can't find them!" exclaimed Vylor.
"They must not be in the valley. Let us broaden our search." Replied Argaya.

Although Longtail was still awake, he was in tremendous pain, so much so that he couldn't call for help and said to himself 'Please I hope someone finds us soon, or....or we...could...die...' "u--u-uncle....C-c-cyrix....help."

"I here them! They are in great pain. I shall try to shield Longtail's mind, but you must shield Dante's!" exclaimed Vylor. I must focus my mind. I must shield his mind.
"I'll do my best. Try to find out where they are." Replied Argaya.
Longtail, where are you?

Longtail's breathing was becoming shallow, and he was truly scared....he thought he was hearing voices, and to delusional with pain he decided to answer back 'In....the...t-t-tall....grass.'

Argaya and I are on our way. Keep calm. You are not insane.
"They are in the tall grass." Vylor said, being careful to keep the shield up around Longtail's mind.
"Okay. Let's go." Argaya replied, doing the same with Dante.

Chomper "Sounds like a good idea. We can get in some practice and get better then Ducky." He said heading over to where they usually did the log running game.
Ruby nods, "That sounds like a fun plan, and fun plans are better then unfun plans." She said going in the direction also.
Littlefoot nods, "If there are not enough logs I'll find one for you guys." He said heading where the others were heading.

Mim rubs out the doodling she made. "Well petrie what do you want to do now?" she asked looking at Petrie.
Petrie thought a moment, "Me want to find me friends, see what they do." He said.
Mim nodded, "Sounds like a good thing to do, see you later."
"Me will." Petrie said then took the the air to see where Littlefoot and some of the others were and what they were doing.

Cyrix walked up beside Mim and said "Ya know, this may be the parent in me talking but I can't shake the feeling that my nephew is in serious danger right now. I think I should go find him...what do you think?" Suddenly Cyrix eyes widen in fear as he stated "That storm...I know those sky puffies...I have to hurry!"
And with that the male rainbow face fled from the cave leaving Mim to stand in the entranceway.

Dante awoke with a jolt as he felt a foreign presence touch his mind...
"Who are you? Why are you in my head...? Be careful! The Sankakku spirit might attack you if you get near it!"

Mim set off running after Cyrix. Once he was in sight she settled into a speed that was the same he was running. She looked around a bit, an old habit while traveling around in the great beyond to keep the look out for sharp teeth.
Petrie flew in the air trying to find where Littlefoot was. He flew over near thundering falls to see if he was nearby there. He saw no little foot there. He flew around to see if he could find them somewhere else. Maybe they were playing a hiding or chasing game in the tall grass area, that was a good place to play some of those games. He flew over head looking down.

Chomper arrived at the still water area. He looked around. "Ruby help me push this log into the water." he said, attempting to push a log near the water into it. Ruby went over to help. "Two can do more then one can do alone." She said as she reached the log and helped to push it into the water.
Littlefoot said, "I'll find another one." He said. He walked around looking and found a what would be a good log. He found a log already partly on the ground. He put his shoulder to it and pushed. With a snap it fell the rest of the way to the ground. He pushed the log over to and into the water. "There, now there is one for each of you." He said, settling down to watch them play the log running game.

The pain had subsided enough that Dante could at least push himself semi-upright, and send a response to the presence in his mind...
"If you're looking...for us...we're in the tall grass... something happened to us. I think I'll be fine with some rest. I'm worried about Longtail, though. He seems to be becoming very weak."

Petrie flew along looking down, he saw some figures. They were not Littlefoot or his other group of old friends, but still friendly sorts. He flew down to see what they were doing or if they knew where Littlefoot was.

'I...have....to survive...I-I want to live...but I'm s-s-so tired...' thought Longtail, and just as he was about to give into the pain another voice filled his mind 'My son, you mustn't give in. Your friends are going to need you to protect them!' "M...Mom?" Soul replied 'Yes my son...I'm here and I can help you, but you must be willing to let go of your fear when the time comes.'
"Y-y-yes...I...can...try mother." whispered Longtail. As he closed his eyes, his body began to feel warm, and a unique yellow glow could be seen rising off of him from the edge of his beak to the tip of his tail.

Dante, I am Argaya. I am shielding you from the pain that you are suffering.
Argaya and Vylor finally arrived at the tall grass, just when Longtail began to glow.

Longtail blinked as he tired to stand up, shakily at first but began to regain his footing. As the flyer stood up the outer glow on his body was becoming brighter he then he took a single breath, looked around and when he spoke it sounded as if more than one person was talking for Longtail as he said "I'm ready mother...the darkness shall fall!"

"Argaya, try to heal Dante. I'll help." Said Vylor, as he crouched over Dante's prone form. This would be a lot easier with spells, but herbs and plants will have to do.

Longtail looked behind him now remembering Dante, and he turned to Argaya and Vylor, and commented "Step back...you may want to cover your eyes, this could get a little birght!"

Petrie flew over head, drawing closer. Was that a glow he saw? Maybe some water was showing the light above like happens in still water sometimes. When he grew closer he saw it was a flyer, Longtail was it, what was going on. It looked a little scary so Petrie decided to hover overhead to look down. He thought to himself that if it got to scary he could just fly away.

Mim continued behind Cyrix, easily keeping up and only perhaps a second behind him.

Meanwhile Littlefoot was watching Chomper and Ruby play the log running game. None of them had any idea what was going on in another part of the valley.
"Do you think we can get better then Ducky." Chomper asked as he was running on his log.
"The one that practices more is often better then the one who practices less." Ruby said as she ran on hers.

As Cyrix ran past a pair of trees, a flash crossed his senses and that was all he needed to come skidding to a forceful stop, unfortunatly cuasing Mim to run into his backside and sending both of them to the floor. As Cyrix shook the dizzyness away, he looked to his immediate right and saw the cause of the flash of light that caught his attention...Longtail! He then whispered to Mim "Look over there, it's Longtail." 'And I know exactly what's happening to him too.'

Mim partially up from where she and Cyrix and been sent sprawling. She was about to apologize for not having enough time to stop when she heard Cyrix speak. After he spoke she got up to try to get a better look at the light and what was going on.
Petrie was hovering somewhat above looking down, "No, to scary," He said to himself, 'Me stay here. If it danger me can tell grown ups, but me must be sure before me go." He said to himself as he continued to watch, keeping well above whatever scary thing was going on below.

Dante stirred, and saw his friend glowing brightly. He also noticed Vylor and Argaya nearby, and he saw that his wounds had been bandaged and had healing plants on them. Looking once again at Longtail, he asked...
"What's happenning?"

"You are healing. Try to relax, otherwise you might injure yourself." said Argaya.
"What happened? All I know is that you passed out, and Argaya and I came as fast as we could." Said Vylor

Once figuring Dante was going to be okay the intense glowing suddenly stopped and Longtail's voice returned to normal as well. 'Thank you mother, I will protect them...with my life if necessary!' thought Longtail as he walked over and sat beside Dante and asked Vylor, "So what was that feeling that we felt...it felt like I had been dropped in a smoking mountain! A...." He was going to continue, but noticed dark sky puffies, these ones darker than usual...he then replied as he pointed with his tail "Those can't be good right?"

"We thought that you would be wondering about how we were able to talk to you through your minds. If you must know, those clouds symbolize something evil. Something wicked this way comes!" said Vylor and Argaya simultaneously.

Dark-Eye was almost at the valley. He noticed storm clouds. Perfect.

Longtail frowned and replied "So that would explain it...why my mother is only able to talk to me when something dangerous or life-threatening is about to happen, or when I don't have the strength to fight anymore."

Cyrix was more relieved than anyone could've guessed as the glow around his nephew stopped, and he said "Oh thank the Guardians! He wasn't forced to use it...." Only then did he realize that Mim was now looking down at him with a curious look on her face. 'Oh crud.' said Cyrix mentally

"So, what was that ability? I have never seen anything like it before." Said Vylor to Longtail.
"And what was that 'Sankakku' that you mentioned Dante?" asked Argaya.

"That was called the Guardian's Key and if channeled properly it allows me to do one more thing in addition to my normal...changes." said Longtail as he looked Vylor straight in the eyes."I can't completely control it, or turn it on at will yet, but I'm sure I'll learn....I hope. And it allows me to talk...with..my...mother." the last part he almost said at a whisper not wanting to cry, he took a deep breath and said "I think we have a very big problem on our hand."

Mim saw the glow and Longtail at the center. She noted to herself that he seemed to be the point of origin. Though the cause or effect she was unable to determine at present. It also occurred to her that it was highly likely that Cyrix knew of this and likely would not be willing to disclose any information since he did not volunteer it before. She knew he thought he had good reasons, but she could still get some information from observation and thinking it over later.
Petrie stayed high in the air. The scary glow seemed to be gone. Though when he started to feel less scary he saw some scary looking sky puffies. "Why this day filled with scary stuff?" He asked himself.

Blissfully unaware of all this and the coming nastiness Littlefoot continued to rest at the are of still water doing the same as before as his friends Chomper and Ruby continued to play the log rolling game. They had fallen off a few times but seemed to Littlefoot to be getting better then before.
"Keep going, you both are really improving." He said to them.

Cyrix began to wonder if he should tell Mim the whole turth...about everything, Longtail, his past, and what his role in it was to be...especially if they were going to be mates....but he just didn't know if it was truly worth the risk, he looked into her eyes once more and asked "Mim...if I tell you something, will you promise to listen to everything I say?"

Dante looked at Argaya before deciding to answer her question...
"The Sankakku... is a demon spirit of my people. Before I was born, it was decided that I was to be the host. It's sealed behind my left eye, but it tries to subsume ny will from time to time, and it reacts... violently to any presence coming near it except me..."

Mim looked down at Cyrix. She listened to what Cyrix was saying and noticing he seemed troubled with somethng. She nodded, "I'll listen." She said.
Petrie flew around in slow circles wondering what was going on but to scared to go any lower. He looked around hoping and wishing his friends were there.

Littlefoot, Chomper, and Ruby continued doing as they had before. Littlefoot had to admit they were getting even better then before.

After hearing Dante's explanation he had to ask a question. "Hey Dante, did that Sankakku thing react when I came near you earlier?"

Cyrix nodded to Mim and began to speak "Well you see first off I'm not really Longtail's nephew...I'm his Godfather. He doesn't know that but I'm sure he'll pick it up eventually. Longtail is the last of his family, he is also very unique, for you see he was born by natural descent as a half sharptooth....his father that slime covered rock named Shackle took his brother and sisters away before they hatched, and then called on the Guardians to destroy the island on which Longtail and his mother Soul lived on." he sighed before he continued
"It was a horrible day, and then to make sure his job was done, he sank the island into the big water. Soul saved Longtail's life at the cost of her own, and now he is the last of the his kind, his abilities and the glow that comes with them are called the Guardians Key and when used, Longtail can do some very amazing things....but I have yet to see what those things are." "And my job as Longtail's Godfather is to oversee his growth and to ensure that his darker more menacing sharptooth half never takes over completely."
He then broke his eye contact with Mim and waited for what she had to say.

"Yeah. That was what it was. But there was something else... Something with a strong enough darkness to not only cause Sankakku to panic, but also to activate this..." Dante said, holding up his right arm to reveal the jet-black flame shape on his forearm, at the wrist.
"This is a curse mark placed on all the members of our clan. It only would react to something extremely powerful, and it would activate in those times... But it makes the user go mad with bloodlust..."

Mim nodded thought about what Cyrix had told her. It seemed incredible but possible. She had certainly heard rumors of magic and powers, but not seen any direct evidence till now. "Sounds like he has a dark incident in his past, similar to mine and from what I hear Littlefoot as well." She said. "What sort of abilities does he have? You ever thought about talking to Chomper? Though he is a friendly sharptooth he must still find all of us, tasty smelling. Maybe talk to Chomper about his sharptooth nature may help add to your information to help Longtail with his sharptooth nature. And if he does have abilities he has to be helped to exercise them so he has skill. It takes practice to gain skill. " She paused a moment, "Though I do not see how a slime covered rock could be a father. "
Petrie, seeing the glow was gone, and the scary looking cloud was in the sky started to descend. He looked down and saw some familiar looking, and not to scary shapes. At least not as scary as Cera or her dad at any rate.

Littlefoot looked around wondering where the rest of his friends were and why he had not seen them. He shrugged, maybe they were helping their folks with things and were to busy. Chomper and Ruby continued what they were doing before.

Cyrix couldn't help but laugh at Mim's last statement and he replied "He's not really a slime covered rock, but it would make it easier to kill him. Longtail's father is a sharptooth by the name Shackle." He thought for a moment as how best to describe him. "Think of him like THE Sharptooth, only in the form of a fast-biter!"

Longtail nodded and replied "Yeah, whenever I'm forced to call upon my sharptooth half I can feel this incredible urge to just want to kill...it's frightening but intoxicating at the same time....and I'm always afraid I'd lose control one day and hurt my friends." he shuddered after that statement and sat back down in the grass.

Mim nodded, "I guess I misunderstood." She said with a bit of a giggle at the end. "The sharptooth. I guess like combining the sharptooth who killed Littlefoot's mother with 1 of the heard of fast biters who attacked my family and some nearby families. pretty nasty."

Littlefoot was wondering what could be keeping his other friends so long, but thought it best to remain with Ruby and Chomper. His friends were sure to look for them in one of their usual play areas, including here.
"I'm getting a little tired lets rest." Chomper said after he fell off his log.
Ruby nodded, "Fun is fun but if one is tired one needs to rest. She said as she went over with Chomper to rest next to Littlefoot.
"You both were very good today." Littlefoot said them both.
"Thanks." Chomper said as he settled in to rest.

Cyrix nodded at Mim's conclusion and said "yes very nasty indeed. Now what say we help Dante and my nephew?" As Cyrix stood up, he felt a chill run down his spine, and looked to Mim and asked "Did you feel that?"

Mim nods, "An ill wind, foreboding, something foul to come." She said, only partially aware of what she said.
Petrie was growing closer to the group below him. Once he was close enough he called out. "Is scary glow gone, what make it?" He asked, looking around a bit to be sure it wasn't trying to sneak up on them.

Littlefoot shivered a bit, looking in the direction of where what he felt. Chomper and Ruby noticed his look.
"Something wrong Littlefoot?" Chomper asked.
"Did you feel that?" He asked.
"I felt something, how about you Chomper."
Ruby said. Chomper nodded, "I think I did." He said.
"Maybe we should see what our friends are up to. They're usually here by now unless their folks need them to do something." Littlefoot said.
"Yea, lets go, I"m all rested up." Chomper said as he started to get up.
"More friends can have more fun then few friends often." Ruby said also starting to get up.
Littlefoot led the rest in their search of the rest of their friends.

Upon hearing Petries voice, Longtail looked up and said "Don't worry Petrie that scary glow is gone." 'For now.' thought the young flyer to himself.
Cyrix however walked over to his nephew to ask what had happened, when he was greeted by his nephew getting knocked to the ground by a red colored threehorn, the only problem was this threehorn only had one dominate horn, and his two smaller horns were like a pair of crosshairs.
"Hello freak!" he said to Longtail

Mim looked at the threehorn who had arrived. "Who is he? A relative of Threehorn?" She asked meaning Cera's dad. Some observant people may notice she never called him mr threehorn. But did refer to Littlefoot's grandparents by Mr and Mrs. and used mrs with Petrie's mother and most of the other adults, but never used Mr with Cera's dad.

Petrie lands nearby saying, "Good." He takes off again once the new threehorn appears. "He sounds like Cera's dad." He says.

Meanwhile the trio of Chomper, Littlefoot and Ruby were looking for their friends.

The stunned feeling that held Cyrix's body finally let him go, and allowed him to act. He charged forward and knocked the threehorn to the ground and stated "Yes nice to see you too...Korr the Red Horn! Now mind telling me what you and your herd are doing in the Great Valley?"
The red horn looked up and laughed as he said "I'm surprised you asked...I'm here passing through of course, but finding the freak here was a bonus, and now I can kill him for what he did to me in the Mysterious Beyond!" Korr shouted. Cyrix then answered Mim "He is no relative of Topsy...he happens to be one angry, and under appreciated Red horn."
Longtail had finally found the strength to stand up and was shocked to see Korr standing there with his uncle inbetween the two of them. He then did the only thing he could think to do....Longtail ran for his life.

Mim looks at the red threehorn with no fear or much emotion in her voice she said, "not if we or I kill you first. I've killed a few fastbiters and you can't be as hard as they were." She remained relaxed and ready for either act, or remain relaxed, depending on what happened.
Petrie went higher into the air, seeing what the scary threehorn had done he headed towards where Littlefoot's grandparents may be looking for them. He thought briefly of Cera's dad, but thought best not to since he would likely take the red threehorn's side and Littlefoot's grandparents were large and seemed more calm then Cera's dad.

"Maybe their over at Ducky and Spike's nest." Littlefoot said turning in that direction with
Chomper and Ruby following. "Maybe their nest needs rebuilding." Chomper said.

At Mim's calm threat, the red horn laughed rather loudly at that, as he replied "I have no intent on fighting such a young and inexperienced rainbow face now run along before you hurt yourself." He then turned his attention to Cyrix and said
"However you I don't have a problem with bringing down...especially since you allowed that freak of a flyer to get away from me." Korr then began to walk past Cyrix looking the rainbow face in the eyes knowing the same thing he did...as long as Longtail stayed hidden Korr wouldn't be able to hurt him.
Cyrix looked back at the red horn and said "You know you'll never find him, this valley is huge...finding my nephew is going to be impossible. I do wish you good luck though!"

Mim laughed, "Inexperienced, that is a great comedy line. I've discovered a few things like a certain area of the neck is very vulnerable to snapping by little pressure, as well as other body areas that are very vulnerable."
Petrie wished Doc was in the valley. Then he saw Littlefoot's grandparents. He was glad they were so huge and hard to miss. He flew over to them and started telling them what he had seen and heard concerning the red three horn.

Korr laughed again and retorted "You really think you have even the smallest chance against me....that's funny now if you want a deminstration...." Korr was abruptly cut off as Cyrix used his hands to shut Korr's mouth as he replied "You so much as breath in her direction the wrong way and I will not restrain myself..." the male rainbow face looked the Red Horn straight in the eyes as he finished his sentence
"Do. You. Understand."

"What is going on here?" Mr Threehorn appeared with Cera beside him she and him been hearing the whole thing and now Mr Threehorn stepping in.

"Longtail, Dante, I think we should find shelter. That storm will be hitting us very soon and I don't want to be caught in it." Said Vylor, his worry noticeable.
"I think I know of a cave not too far from here." Replied Argaya.
-
Chomper looks up, "looks like a storm is coming." He says noticing the clouds.
Ruby looks up, "Maybe we should head over to our caves Chomper, that'll protect us from the storm." Ruby said. She turned to face Littlefood, "You are welcome to stay in our caves with us till the storm has passed." She said.
"Thanks." Littlefoot said. He wondered for a moment if he should to find his grandparents or head directly to the caves.

Longtail nodded to Vylor's statement and replied "Yes a dry place is a good place. Let's go...I hate the skywater!"

Korr looked to Topsy and said "Well my friend long time no see! How are you?" This of course was the last thing Cyrix was expecting, as he asked "Mr. Threehorn do you know this Red Horn personally?"

"It isn't far from here." Said Argaya. She and Vylor began running towards it.

I sense another. Dark-Eye was slowing down.

"Yes..." Mr Threehorn stared at him. "I should of knew it was you causing all this fus. Red Horn it been a long time and I am fine. And one thing... leave the flyer alone." Mr THreehorn spoke and kept it serious the whole time as he spoke.

"Come on Topsy, you sound like your holding a grudge against me...and that thing your defending doesn't deserve your protection...just to leave this world." said Korr keeping his tone friendly as possible.

Longtail spread his wings, knowing Dante would be able to keep up with the three of them, as he took to the sky keeping Vylor and Argaya in sight at all times.

"There it is! Everybody, get inside!" exclaimed Argaya. The wind was starting to pick up.
"Hurry! The rain will start soon!" warned Vylor.

Longtail now seeing the cave folded his wings, and slid into the cave on his feet, and said "Thank goodness, and just before the storm started!" he said looking back outside to see the sky puffies giving off sky fire.

"Now, let us find something to do while we wait for this storm to die out." Said Vylor, sitting down inside the cave. Argaya was drying herself off.

"That thing is my daughters Friend and I protect her friends from any harm, even you." Topys growled at him. "Red Horn you can cut the friendly act, I know what your like and your not to be trusted... a longtime ago you lost that trust and I can never forgive you for what you did back then..." Topys kept his guard up on Red Horn not letting his eyes slip away from him not trusting Red Horn one moment.

Korr's face then became serious and he said "Well then....you can give over the freak called Longtail to me and my herd, and we'll be on our way out of this lovely paradise. Now where is he?" His voice was becoming threatening and he was fully intent on getting what he wanted.

"If you are curious about our pasts, let us know." Said Argaya and Vylor.

"If I knew I will never tell you, so don't bother" Topys gives him a snort and turns away. Cera smirking and snicking a little joining her father both just leaving Red Horn there.

Longtail looked to Dante as he asked the question..."well...actually yeah...I mean if you don't mind that is."

Korr roared and screamed to Cyrix "I am telling you right now....when I find that freak of yours, I won't kill him, oh no....I'm going to make the ENTIRE valley herd turn there backs on him and force him out of the valley and when that happens I'll be waiting to smash whats left of his life."

'Well, you see, we are not really longnecks. At least, I am not. Argaya is, but she is different. Think of a sharptooth with massive wings, body, head, and eyes. It also has an intelligence people would die for. That is Argaya, or should I say, Argana. That is her true name. Mine is actually Vylon. And I am an elf, a creature of magic. I was once able to control magic. That is why you and Dante were beginning to be affected by me and Argana; the magic in our blood was leaking out. That was also what was happening with the trees." Said Argana.
"I am actually a dragon. I will show you a mental picture." Said Argaya. She began to try to connect her mind with Longtail.

Mr Threehorn turn around and smirked "THen don't hold your breath too long, because that won't happen here. So count your lose and leave before you waste all of your life on wishful thinking" Topys then leaves with Cera and she wouldn't turn her back on Longtail and knowing her father he wouldn't as well.
"Daddy is he really going to try that?" Cera asked
"Most likely. But I did what i wanted, I hit his weak spot and let him boil over. He not worth the effect. He lost being a Threehorn a long time ago. He lost the meaning the pride..." Topys replied back as they walked on then turn to Cyrix "Cyrix, Rainbow Face how about we finish our little chat" Topys spoke out to get Cyrix off the hook and away from Red Horn. "It was important wasn't it?"

Longtail's eyes widened as he took a step forward and said "Argaya, you are one of the elder guardians....This is fantastic!!" knowing exactly what they were talking about without the mental picture.

Cyrix turned to Mim and said "Yes, come along mim, let's go with Mr. Threehorn, and leave this silly fool to his sleep stories."
Korr however wasn't done yet....he had one more plan....and he had the numbers on his side to make it work....

"We know nothing of these Guardians. We were only transported here and transformed. I do not know how we were. The spell I cast should have killed me, but instead it brings me here. Now I feel I must release the elvish powers inside me, but I don't know where I can release them from." Said Vylor.
"Neither do I. I miss the feeling of flying through the air." Said Argaya, with a longing noticeable in her voice.

Dante looked over at Argaya, filled with respect for the presences he was with. Even the Sankakku inside him bowed in reverance to them. Dante smirked and casually remaked.
"A dragon, huh? Seems that you and I have something in common then. The Sankakku itself was a Dragon, albiet a dark one, and only those descended from the Dragon Lineage can be used as hosts, otherwise Sankakku will destroy their minds and take over. So I guess that means that you and I may have a common ancestor... Interesting..."
Dante then remembered a lore from his past that spoke of an ancient group called the Dragon Riders...
"So, by any chance were you two Dragon Riders?..."

"Vylon is. I am his companion. We are one. And I do not think that the Sankakku and I are linked in any way. I am a dragon of proud descent. I am proud of my relatives, save the evil one; Shruikan." said Argaya.
"Anyways, even if Argaya is not a guardian of old, she will still want to know what the guardians do. Right?" asked Vylor.
"yes. I would." Replied Argaya.

"Wait. Shruikan? If I recall, that is a descendant from the Sankakku, the first dragon of the Darkness. At least, the name is. Odd..."
Dante said, mostly to himself, as he looked at Argaya, noting the dragonic features that she posessed.
"And Vylor, I might suggest learning to focus your power through the mouth or tail of your form. Those seem to be good conduits..."

Longtail nodded and replied "Well, in the stories my mother told me before 'the accident' the guardians were the ones who started our world and together created the tree of life...the starting point of the great valley....the beginning of all life, even before the big water came to be...it was said to be the most beautiful sight anywhere."
"The guardians came in all shapes and sizes...and one of them looked like this dragon thing you discribed." He said to Argaya

"So, do either of you know about what exactly is causing this darkness that we're feeling?" Dante asked...

"I know that I never witnessed anything like that, Longtail, but there might be some relation." Said Argaya.
"This darkness might have been our fault. When we arrived here, the magic that runs in our blood was starting to leak out. That is why the trees were changing, and you two were affected. However, I think that the energy was transferred into a creature, one of evil, and it is now emanating energy it is producing by itself." Said Vylor.
Suddenly, there was a rumble. The roof of the cave above the entrance began to crack. Then, with one loud CRACK, the roof collapsed, sealing the tunnel.

Dante looked over at the rocks that had fallen, and he calmly noted...
"Well, that could be a deterrent to our finding our friends, not to mention the fact that we won't be able to see if the storm is over... I'll see about getting it out of our way..."

Longtail simply smiled and said "I'll bet the Guardian's Cry can get us out of here!" he looked back and asked the others "Wanna see?" with a smirk on his face.

"Don't! The roof of the cave is not stable! If you try and blast away the rubble, you could damage the roof even more!" exclaimed Argaya.
"I need to find a way of making a tunnel. I must meditate." Said Vylor, assuming a peaceful position.

"Where is everybody?" said Ducky to herself. She was riding Spike, but she fell off of him when the wind picked up.

Longtail sighed, and said "But I wanna try, besides the longer we sit here the longer our friends are in danger, and we may be the only ones strong enough to stop whatever it is out there!"
Spike noticed the faster winds as well and looked down at Ducky who had fallen off of his back. He licked her face, and motioned for her to climb back on.

"Don't worry. Vylor just needs to find his elven spirit. Then he can access his magic, and form a tunnel." Argaya said encouragingly.

Just as Ducky was about to climb onto Spike, a gust of wind blew her away from her brother.

One of them seems to be in danger. noted Dark-Eye. Now would be a good chance for me to infiltrate that group and earn trust.

"Oh all right." said Longtail obvliously dissapointed he couldn't use his talent to free them from the cave, but he did have one question... "How long is it going to take Vylor to find his spirit anyway?"

Spike looked on as Ducky was blown away from him by the wind and chased after her, worried she may be hurt.

"That is uncertain. It shouldn't take too long, though." Said Argaya
There it is! My magic! Vylor's eyes opened. There was a twinkle in his eyes.

"HELP!" screamed Ducky, as she was tossed away by the wind. Suddenly, she was grabbed by a hand that appeared out of nowhere. It held her in place, no matter how hard the wind blew.

Longtail could see the glow in Vylor's eyes, as he said to himself 'He looks like he just found a valley full of treesweets! I wonder what's about to happen.' He looked to Dante to gauge his reaction.
-
A series of words that were of another language began to flow from Vylor's mouth. Suddenly, and without warning, he ran straight on into the rubble. Instead of hitting the rocks, though, the rocks began to move out of the way, forming a tunnel out of the cave.
Suddenly, a wave of fatigue hit Vylor. It wasn't huge, but he felt dizzy, and collapsed.

"Oh, thank you. Thank you lots!" exclaimed Ducky towards her rescuer.
She looked at who was holding her arm, and let out a scream.

Longtail was surprised and a little shocked, at what Vylor had just done...even his Guaridan's Cry wouldn't have been able to do that! As Vylor collapsed, Longtail ran forward and suddenly and for almost no other reason than to help Vylor, his body began to glow again as he put the tip of his tail against Vylor's head.

"You don't need to do that. I just got a little shocked. Then I passed out. I'm better now." Said Vylor.
"Well, now we know when the storm will die down. We still should wait until the storm ends." Said Argaya.

Longtails body stopped glowing as he said "Hey, guys I think I've finally figured out how to turn the Key on and off....this is great!" he giggled as he thought about being able to help his friends at will.

"Well, that is good. I think I know how to access my magic in this form now." Replied Vylor.
"I might know how to use my elemental magic as well. Vylor, you will have to tell me how you unlocked you magic." Said Argaya.

Dante looked at the wall, and simply said...
"Hey guys? You might wanna get away from the wall... Things're gonna get a little hot around there!"
As he said this, he had changed his stance to a low, ready crouch and brought his fingertips together as he began to chant...
"Ancient spirit of the Black Flame...Bestow thine power upon your host! Sankakku! Awaken!"
Dante tensed momentarily, as black-blue energy began to pool at his back before changing into wings of raw energy. When he spoke next, his voice was layered with a second, deeper, darker voice...
"Take this! Valsyar Flames!"
A Thin blaze of black and crimson flame shot from his arm, burning easily into the rock, then cutting Vylor's tunnel the rest of the way through...

Longtail smirked and said to Dante "Well now that you've heated things up for us, why don't I cool us down." He then proceeded to take a deep breath, and held the air inside his body for several moments and then tensed his legs, straightened his tail, and dug his talons into the ground as he let his signature move the Guardian's Cry.
But it sounded more like a soft song as opposed to a shrill scream, but it did its job and cooled the tunnel down enough for everyone to pass through when the storm ended. Longtail turned and said "HA! Beat that Dante!"

Dante smirked, and quipped back...
"Now, now... I have to keep some surprises in store if we do have to fight the darkness, now don't I, buddy?" He then blinked several times, and then said in an amazed voice...
"Hey! I just managed to supress the Sankakku's will! This is cool!"

On a high cliff overlooking the Valley stood another raptor. This one was dark blue and gold, and was noting Dark-Eye's rescue and observing the anger that Korr had towards others. Grinning to himself, he muttered...
"So, there may be some here who are of some use to me. Dante... You'll suffer before I kill you. Believe you me... I'll take everything from you!" And saying this, he disappeared in a blue-gold blur...

Longtail smirked and replied "looks like we're all learning something new today huh? So what now...we've opened the cave entrance and the storm is just about over...." then a bolt of sky fire split the sky "...I think." he said with a nervous smile.

"Well, if nothing else, we may as well get some rest, as long as this storm keeps up. We never know if we may end up in the thick of something when it does..."
Dante said looking over the group with his usual smile on his face...

Meanwhile, the other raptor had approched Korr.
"You there. I am Virgil. You hate someone don't you? Yes...I can feel it. How would you like a chance to get what revenge you desire? Join me, and I'll make it happen..."

Longtail yawned and said "Yeah....you may be right....using that scream takes....alot out of...me." as he laid his head down on the floor and quickly fell into a deep sleep...snoring while he did so.

Korr smiled and said "What do you have in mind...I;m more than happy and willing to listen to anything you may have to say.....tell me do you know how to make a freak lose faith in the ones he cares about?"

Dante sat by the mouth of the cave, waiting out the storm, but before he knew it, he had fallen asleep.

"Well, you could simply... eliminate someone that his friends care about, then blame him... He is part shartooth, after all..." Virgil said, his features etched with an evil smirk...

Longtail stirred in his sleep but didn't awaken...he muttered something about fire and sharpteeth and then fell silent again.

Korr smiled devilishly and said "Yes...that might just work, but now...who to get rid of? It has to be someone weak, but with a high importance and statues in the valley."

"Sleep would be welcome. I need some to regain some of my magic." Said Vylor, and promptly fell asleep.
"Same here." Said Argaya, and did likewise.

"Who are you?" asked Ducky with noticeable fear.
"A friend. My name is Dark-Eye." Said Dark-Eye in a voice that couldn't help but calm Ducky.

Suddenly, Vylor awoke. His mind alert. Two more presences! These two are after one person. He focused on their minds. Dante and Longtail! I must warn them about this new danger.
"Dante! Longtail! Rise. New dangers approach."

Longtail squirmed at Vylor trying to wake him up...but at the word danger, his eyes shot open,and almost instantaneously his right eye did it's little color change and he was ready as he took up a battle position. "Who and how many are there?" he asked ready for the worst.

Dante started awake, the wings of energy forming on his back as he did so.
"Where are they? What threatens us?"
He asked, his voice layered with that of Sankakku...
-
"Two. There is one after each of you. I can't find their names, though." Replied Vylor.
"Let us hope they don't discover the dark one. Otherwise they could defeat us all." Said Argaya, a tone of fear in her voice.
-
"I don't know what's going on, but I know I'm not going stick around to find out whatever is coming to get me!" said Longtail with a look of determination and courage in his eyes.
-
"I think we are safe for now. I'll go get some firewood." Said Vylor, and rushed out into the storm as fast as he could.
"He'll be back shortly." Said Argaya.
-
Longtail nodded, took a deep breath, let his eye color change back to normal. "Hey wait up...I wanna go to!" he called as he ran after Vylor.
-
"Where to first? I know of some good places." Said Vylor.
-
Chomper, Littlefoot, & Ruby made it to the caves where Chomper and Ruby stayed. They ran inside, Chomper running along the side of Littlefoot so the wind would partially blocked by Littlefoot and he'd not be blown away. They ran inside the caves and went in a bit deeper when they saw some debre and such from outside was being carried inside the cave.

Mim continued walking with Cyrix, for now not saying anything and keeping her thoughts to herself.

Petrie was flying along trying to find a grown up to tell about the red three horns when the storm came in and he was blown into a tree. He decided it best to hold onto the trunk as well as he could so he could not be blown away. He flattened himself against the tree trunk so the wind could not get purchase to blow him off wishing the whole time the big blowy wind would go away.

Vylor and Longtail were rushing to the spot where they could gather firewood.
"Could you hold these?" said Vylor to Longtail as he broke some branches off with magic.

Longtail nodded and using his tail held the wood Vylor was giving him, and he had to continually brace himself from the winds that blew though the valley threatening to blow him away...

Cyrix continued to walk still wondering what Korr had planed for the valley and his nephew...but as he looked over at Mim to ask her a question....he realized that he had to protect her as well as Longtail...and he also knew he would give it his all.

Meanwhile, Dante looked at Argaya and inquired...
"So... What was being a Dragon like?"

Chomper, Littlefoot, & Ruby remained in Chomper & Ruby's caves. Littlefoot went a bit near the entrance to look outside to see how bad the storm was.
"I still think I should have tried to tell my grandparents where I am." Littlefoot said.
"I think they would rather you seek safety then risk yourself trying to tell them were you are going to." Ruby said.
"Yea, you can tell them later." Chomper said.
Littlefoot nodded, not entirely sure but seeing their point. "Ok. I just hope everyone else is ok." He said.
"We won't know till we know and we can't know till the storm is over and we can go outside." Ruby said.

Mim continued walking along Cyrix. She looked over at him. "Did you want to ask something?" She asked.

Petrie still clung tightly to the tree, hoping the blowy wind would go away and blow somewhere else.

While still bracing against the wind...Longtail said to Vylor "I think we've got enough for now...and I'm starting to get cold, come on lets get back to the cave!"

Cyrix still looking at Mim thought about his question and then asked "Mim I don't know what Korr is planning to do....and if he gets his way I...we...may lose Longtail...and I don't want that to happen...but am I really strong enough to keep him....and you safe?" putting emphasis on his last part of the sentence.

Mim pats Cyrix on the back and side. "We'll do what must be done, even if means Korr and his buddies will leave this world. If we have to leave the Great Valley, I'm still welcome in Berry Valley and I"m sure you and Longtail would be also." Mim said patting Cyrix on the back and side still to try to reassure him.

Cyrix smiled as he said "Thank you Mim I barely know you and you still offer to help us and give me hope....thank you so very much!" And before he could stop himself, Cyrix had reached out and hugged Mim. He was blushing there was no doubt about that, but at this point he really didn't care.

Mim was a bit surprised, but after a second or two hugged Cyrix back. "Things will be better, and we'll see this as an adventure to tell to others someday."

Having recieved no answer, Dante had grown bored of sitting inside the cave, so he went to stand outside and practice his fighting techniques, heedless of the wind around him...

"Well, Korr... We could eliminate one of the younglings. They seem to be held in rather high value... That could serve as a start..>" Virgil said to his new ally, his eyes still cold and heartless as he spoke...

Korr smiled wickedly as he replied "Yes that sounds like a very good start, but now the question is which one?" Then he had an idea..."Let's go after Topsy daughter Cera...this is going to be easy and a lot of fun...now lets' get to work!"

"Sure. Lets hurry!" said Vylor.
They began rushing back to the cave.

"That Threehorn Girl? That... is a grand idea, all things considered. Her father has much influence in the Valley. Yes... Let us start with her..." Vergil said, his grin widening as he thought of how this would tear apart his foes...

Vylor slid to a halt at the cave entrance.
"Why are you outside?" asked Vylor to Dante.
-
"Hm? Oh,Vylor. I got bored sitting inside, so I decided to practice some of my moves while I was waiting for you guys to get back. Sorry..."
Dante said, looking at the ground...

"Well, lets get back inside. We'll get a fire going." Said Vylor energetically.
-
"Alright. I'll provide the flames to get it going, shall I?"
Dante said, his eyes brightening.
-
"Actually, I will. I need to unlock my elemental magic." Said Argaya.
"Can you help me make a pile Dante? The lack of hands makes it hard to pile things." Said Vylor.
-
"Sure thing. Just Gimme a sec." Dante said, piling the logs neatly.
"Okay. Ready when you are, Argaya."

Argaya closed her eyes.
"Vylor, what did you feel for when looking for your magic?"
"A small bump in my mind." Replied Vylor.
There it is!
Argaya's mouth opened, and a stream of flame shot from it. The pile began to burn as though it were dry.

"Wow...that's amazing!" said Longtail "I wish I could breath fire." 'Oh but my son...you can do so much more than you believe...just trust in yourself and you will see....when the time comes.' Longtail smiled as he again heard his mothers voice and he welcomed it with pride and joy.

"Cool! I must say, I'm impressed, Argaya."
Dante said, grinning broadly...
"Wait... Guys, we got trouble. You know those two presences you sensed earlier, Vylor? Well, one of them is my brother... and they're after Cera!"
-
"We need to act. But not now. It is much too late for us to help her today. When the storm dies, we act." Said Vylor.
"And by the way, Dante, it is wonderful being a dragon. I loved the open skies." said Argaya.

"I envy you. To have that sort of freedom..."
Then Dante turned to Vylor and said...
"I only hope that we will not be too late. Virgil is utterly merciless. And if the presence that was after Longtail was Korr... we must pray for Cera's safety..."

"Hey guys I feel....different...I need to step outside for a moment." called Longtail from the front of the cave. He couldn't understand what he was doing, or more importantly how he was about to pull this off...but he would try at least that much he knew for sure.

"Longtail! Wait up!" Dante ran after him, before standing outside the cave.
"You're planning to do something reckless, aren't you? If so, then I'm going with you... my friend."
-
"We should keep an eye on them." Said Vylor.
"Agreed." Said Argaya, and the two focused their minds on Longtail and Dante.
-
He smiled and said to Dante "No not reckless....just something new. I trust myself and that for the moment is all I need." His body began to glow once more, but this time it was brighter than before, and much more intense. Then he held his breath to test a thought....and it worked! Where moments ago there had been a howling wind...there was silence...bone chilling silence.
He then exhaled his held breath and the wind was back, but then he whipped his tail to the left, and the wind followed, then to the right, and again the wind followed. He then slapped his tail against the ground and in the sky a thunder clap could be heard. "Guys...." said Longtail "This just got a lot more fun!"

Dante had tensed from the sound of the thunder, but recovered quickly and looked at Longtail
"Could you please refrain from the thunder? It sorta freaks me out... But for now, we have to go rescue our friend, right?"

Longtail looked over to Dante and said "But of course..." He then looked back towards the cave, and he called out "Hey Vylor Argaya are you two coming, cause I"m going to save Cera!"
-
"It is not the right time. This is what they want. They want us to act now." Said Vylor
"We will come when they least expect it. We will join you shortly." Said Argaya.

"In that case, we'll be waiting for you!"
Dante yelled as he ran off...
-
"You're running into a trap!" exclaimed Vylor.
"Wait here. When they strike, we will be ready. They won't be able to react." Said Argaya.
-
Longtail nodded as he said "Alright but you two are going to miss all the fun!" He then started walking towards the center of the valley knowing exactly who he was going after....with the intent of finishing him off.

"They are doomed. This was expected of them. We must act now." said Argaya.
"Not now. I am not ready." Said Vylor.
Why won't this work?

Suddenly, a wave of power surged through Vylor. His body was curled up on the ground. He was convulsing. Slowly, he began to glow. His body began to change. His front legs began to elongate, while his neck and tail began to retract. His face began to change into that of an elf's. When he stood up, he had become an elf. His two hook swords hung on his back in their holsters. His eyes began to radiate intelligence in their golden depths.

"Hold on a second, Longtail. Just let me get something I keep stashed near here..."
Dante ran over to a nearby bush, reached around it, and retrieved a pair of finely carved wooden blades. He placed the harness for them on his back, tied the harness, and grinned as he drew them both with a flourish.
"Okay... now we're ready to party!"

Argaya was going through a similar ordeal. Her neck was elongating. Her Head was elongating. Her teeth grew longer. Her feet grew claws. Wings sprouted out of her back. When she stood, her shoulder was at the same height as Vylor's.
Are you ready now?
"Yes. Lets go into the unknown." Said Vylor in his musical voice.
The two walked out of the cave. Vylor got on Argaya's back in the hollow between the spikes at the base of her neck, and she took off.

Nice toys." said Longtail with a grin, then he asked "So who do we go after first, I mean sure we have to save Cera, but which one of our foes is more dangerous?" he asked Dante.
-
"I say we wait near Cera's nest, out of sight. Then when they come to attack... we'll sneak up on 'em..."
Dante said thoughtfully.

"Hm... They seem to be moving, Korr. Let's be ready so we can give them a fiting parting gift. The blood of their friend..."
Virgil said, laughing madly...

Chomper, Littlefoot, & Ruby are staying in their cave till they are sure the storm is over.
Mim is walking with Cyrix while Petrie is hanging onto a tree trunk till the winds are over.

"Yeah...lets go." said Longtial as he headed in the direction of Cera's nest.

Cyrix however stopped dead in his tracks as his breathing became heavier, and his hands began to shake. Something had just spooked him, and he knew exactly what it was he turned to Mim and looked her in the eyes and said "We need to find Longtail...he....he.." Cyrix couldn't finish the sentence as he suddenly felt his heart accelerate...his whole body was shaking. and his skin was starting go pale.

Chomper, Littlefoot, Petrie and Ruby are doing as before.
Mim nods to Cyrix, "Do you know where he is? It would be easier then looking all over for him." She said.

His body was still shaking, and his skin had become an almost deathly white as he replied to Mim "Y-Y-Yes.....Cera's...nest..we..we have to...hurry. We don't...have much...time." He began to walk again, but it was unbalanced and shaky....his skin was still becoming pale...he was almost snow white. 'What's wrong with me?' thought the rainbow face.

Crouched in the bushes near Cera's nest, Dante felt a cold chill run down his spine.
"They're close..." He whispered...
-
Chomper peeked out of the cave. "Hey, it looks like the storm is over, lets go out." He said. Littlefoot and Ruby went outside with Chomper. They looked around at what damage, if any, the storm may have done.

Mim nods, "You look like you could do with a rest. You rest here and I'll go ahead." She said then she took off towards Cera's nest at her long distance running speed.

Petrie looked around to be sure the big blowy wind was over. When he was sure he let go and continued. He flew over to start telling the growups what he had seen.

Longtail nodded and said "Yeah...too close, and I can smell 'em...it is Korr and your brother, but I don't know why they brought Cera here? Do you?" he asked Dante

Cyrix however wasn't content to sit around while his nephew and mate were in trouble, so he continued to try and walk, but found it hard, almost impossible....but he swore to himself that he wouldn't let them down...no matter what!

"I only have one guess, and I hope I'm wrong. They brought her here to kill her and blame us for it. That's probably the only reason why they'd go through this much trouble..." Dante said, tightening his grip on his blades...

For the first time since coming to the Great Valley Longtail completly let his other half, his Sharptooth half take over. The blood lust, the need to tear flesh from their bones, it was so intoxicating, and he couldn't wait to taste Korr's blood on his tounge....his eye changed color again and he said in a darker almost demonic voice, but still at a whisper... "Let the feast BEGIN!"

"I guess that means that it's time for some Crazy Fun!"
Dante crouched low, bit his thumb, and smeared some of his blood onto the mark on his arm. He once again formed the energy wings, but this time... they were larger than he was, and were of midnight black. He looked up, and his eye shone gold as he said...
"Let entropy consume them. However, I do not wish to waste my time. They had better be...prepared..."
in a deep, demonic voice...

"I know you two are there. Come out, or I kill the girl."
Virgil announced to the pair of them, pointing his claws at them...

Suddenly, Argaya landed right next to Longtail.
We are here. projected Argaya to Longtail and Dante.
"We will do our magic." Said Vylor. He then said "Skolir! That should keep Cera safe for now."
Instantly, a bubble formed around Cera that was impossible to break or pass through.

Chomper looked around at the area. "What do you want to do now?" He asked looked at Littlefoot.
"We could go around to our friend's nests to see how things are. They may need some help." Littlefoot said.
Ruby nods, "Things that need done are done faster with more then with less."

Mim continues running towards where Cera's nest is.

Dark-Eye was searching for equals. I need allies to conquer this place.

Longtail stepped out of the bush looking directly at Korr, who for his part was rather surprised to see Cera protected by a bubble, but none-the-less pleased that his prey had shown up to the fight. Longtail then said "You've got who you want, now let Cera go! Or die by my claw!"

"I sense great danger. The dark creature approaches." Said Vylor so quietly that only Dnate and Longtail could hear.
-
Dante stepped out from behid the bush as well, grinning at his brother...
"Well, Virgil? I'm Here. Release Cera!"
Virgil smirked as he looked at the glowing wings, and he replied...
"And if I don't? What then?"
Dante smiled wider, revealing his teeth, which had elongated and sharpened, and stated...
"Then you'll die. Simple as that."
Virgil's eyes hardened as he looked at the now glowing weapons held in his brother's claws and he laughed...
"So... You still use those weak things? In that case, let me show you my weapon..."
With a swing of his arm, Virgil formed a black blade, and a cloud of darkness fromed around him. The brothers faced off, circling warily...

Dark-Eye ran right into the scene.
"You two are the ones I am after. I shall rip the magic out of you!" he said to Argaya and Vylor.
"Bring it then. I don't need magic to defeat you." Said Vylor
Nor do I. said Argaya.
Then Dark-Eye leaped at Vylor, his claws thrashing wildly.

"Your time is up. Die, Virgil!" Dante yelled as he rushed his brother with both swords, only to have them parried by Virgil's dark blade.
"Poor brother. You still are not yet strong enough to beat me..."
Virgil said, focing Dante back before responding with a flurry of strikes. Dante cried out in pain as one of the swings hit home, striking his left arm, forcing him to drop his sword...

Vylor drew out four throwing staves and hurled them at Dark-Eye. Dark-Eye dodged the projectiles and pierced Argaya's left wing, leaving three long gashes.
Vylor felt a searing pain shoot through his left arm. He drew his hook swords, dismounted Argaya, and charged.

Dante, still clutching his wounded arm, came around with a powerful kick that struck Virgil reeling, then lunged, aiming to deliver a cripping strike to Virgil's arm, but was stopped by the dark aura around him. Then a shadow arm formed and struck him, flinging him backwards into a wall.
"Surprised, brother? The darkness serves me, and I can use it to my will. Face it. You can't win..."
Dante staggered to his feet, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth, and retorted...
"Can't I? I did before, and I will again. Now bring it!"

Vylor hooked the ends of his swords around Dark-Eye's legs and pulled his legs out from under the raptor. Vylor then let go of the swords, jumped five feet into the air, and came down right on top of Dark-Eye's chest.
Then Dark-Eye began thrashing at Vylor's legs. The claws left painful wounds all over Vylor's legs.

Longtail and Korr didn't say anything to one another...they just stared each other down for a moment longer then Korr charged at Longtail. And at that moment Longtail began his little glowing trick...and used his tail to whip the wind and knocked Korr off his feet. He skidded to a stop and charged again, only to be knocked off his feet once more...and Longtail hadn't moved yet!
Longtail smiled and said "What's wrong Korr...can't find your feet?" "You FREAK!!" this time however Korr managed to reach Longtail, and stepped on his tail forcing the young flyer to scream in pain....but that came with a price, as a bolt of sky fire came out of the sky and struck Korr on his horn forcibly blowing the two combatants apart from each other...both landing with a thud on the ground.
While Longtail was stunned Korr however was unconscious on the ground....And Longtail sighed, but the glow around his body continued to get stronger and brighter, and he was becoming worried, as he walked over and prepared to bite into Korr's belly ready to feast on his insides.

Vylor picked up hhis hook swords, and began to climb to the tallest branches. When he reached the highest branch, he began to take a metal wire and wrap a stave at one end, and tied the other end around one of the blades.
"Longtail! I need sky-fire!" he shouted with all of his might.
At that moment, Argaya opened her mouth and shot a ball of lightning at the blade.
Vylor noticed Argaya's actions and threw the stave at Dark-Eye.

Dante spun around his brother, his right hand glowing with energy, then he jumped into the air, crying out...
"Take this, Brother! Valsyar Flames Apocalypse!"
Before releasing a torrent of fire at Virgil. The flames dissapated before they could hit him, and Virgil grinned evilly as he said...
"Didn't I tell you, Dante? It won't work... What!!!"
Dante had dropped through the cloud of smoke from the last attack, and swung again at Virgil, this time nicking his tail as Virgil dodged...
"Not bad. Now I'm really starting to get ANGRY!!!!"
Virgil yelled as he formed the shadow into one huge mass behind him, which took the form of a giant raptor with a sword. He stared at his brother and laughed...

This stave hit Dark-Eye's claw just as the ball of lightning struck Vylor's sword. The electricity cascaded down the wire and knocked Dark-Eye out. Vylor then pulled the wire back.
Argaya, I will need you to do that again. Vylor told Argaya as his eyes fell on Dante and Virgil.
Okay.
Vylor then threw the stave right at Virgil. This time, I'll add some magic to it. "Brisingr!"
The stave began to glow with a fiery gleam as a cone of silver fire erupted around the stave.
The ball of lightning hit the sword again, and the fire was enhanced with an electric halo.

Longtail was excited he was finally going to taste Korrs blood on hi tongue, and just as he was about to complete his darkest dream....something stopped him....a voice, a childlike voice..."No...not...now!" he cried "We can have our revenge together! Isn't that what you've always wanted little flyer?" 'Yes...but not like this.' said Longtails child self "But you know he would kill both of us if he ever got the chance!" 'Yes...I know...but...this is...just wrong....please don't.'
"Sorry little one...can't be done!" Longtail then bit into Korr's leg ripping out a chunk of flesh, and began to chew on the fresh meat.

Just before the attack would have hit him, Virgil leapt out of the way, and nimbly landed next to Korr and Longtail. He delivered a savage kick to Longtail, pushing him back, and then grabbed Korr's limp form. He then grabbed Dark-Eye as well, and vanished in a blur again.
Dante was stunned. How... How could I have lost to him? Why? was all that was coursing through his mind as he sat there, dazed...

After the savage and forceful kick from Virgil Longtail regained control of his mind, and body but the glowing didn't stop...he was too confused at what just happened...and he instantly spat out the flesh in his mouth as he replied...."W-What....what happened....to me? I don't remember...anything." Longtail was shedding tears at the thought of what he had done...

Seeing his friend hurt, and weeping, Dante managed to rouse himself to go to him and place one arm around his shoulders, comforting him gently...
-
Vylor began jumping down to the ground. When he reached the ground, his body began to change back into the gold/silver longneck. Argaya's body was changing likewise.
Vylor and Argaya instantly began to comfort Longtail with Dante.
"Take comfort. You at least did not take a life. You are also still alive, so you can learn from past mistakes. Through mistakes, we grow stronger." Said Vylor.

Longtail was still shaking, but he nonetheless closed his eyes, took a deep breath and after hearing what Vylor said to him, he exhaled the breath and the glowing around his body finally stopped and the storm over head began to disappear as well. His right eye changed back to normal as well, and again he closed his eyes as he said "I think I'm gonna be sick!" he then proceeded to throw up...to which he said soon afterwards "Ewww...that's gross." As Longtail then fell into a deep dreamless sleep while still shedding several tears.

"We should get him to his uncle," said Vylor to Dante, "And explain what happened."
"Can you lift him onto my back?" asked Argaya to Dante.

Mim arrived near Cera's nest jogging into the area.
Chomper, Littlefoot and Ruby arrived near Cera's nest as well. "Quite a mess the blowy wind made." Chomper said, as they walked along and right before they arrived in the area.

Petrie found a grownup to tell what he had seen concerning the red horns and what they had said.

"Letta!" exclaimed Vylor. The bubble shielding Cera vanished. "Coming?" asked Vylor.

Cyrix arrived still looking snow white and shaking, but he was at least able to stand and walk again. He then looked to Longtail and almost lost his lunch as well, seeing his nephew in such a deep sleep....as he asked "Is my nephew okay, he looks sick...what happened to him?"

Vylor recounted the fight to Cyrix. He mainly focused on Longtail's fight.
"We were just about to bring him to you when you arrived." Said Vylor.

Dante walked over too, still clutching his wound. He looked at the others, then sat on the ground and began to think about what had happened. Then he looked at Vylor and asked...
"Why did I lose to him? I've spent my entire life training for that, and he beats me... Why?"

Meanwhile, Virgil looked at Korr's still unconcious form and said...
"You lost. But I must admit, your ferocity astounded me. So therefore, you may continue to hunt him... Awaken."
And a small patch of shadows crawled over Korr's wound and became a new patch of skin, similar in color, but much darker...

"I do not have all the answers. You must look inside yourself to answer that question. However, you are lucky I was able to defeat Dark-Eye quickly. Otherwise, you might be dead." Said Vylor.

Dark-Eye stirred. "Where am I?"

Dante then sat for a time in silence, before he realized...
"This is about more than getting even with him. All the time I was fighting, the only thing I could think about was revenge. I wasn't able to beat him because I wasn't fighting to protect other people. That's what true strength is, I think... but I still need to become stronger..."
He said, a smile crossing his features as he said this...

"Relax. You're safe here, Dark-Eye. You're lucky. That elf's attack would have killed you if you had been hit anymore. As for now, you must rest, and regain your strength. Then, I shall help you to become... unbeatable, and we will kill those four..."
Virgil said, looking over at Dark-Eye with an evil grin...

"We must prepare for next time. They left alive, so they will return. Why would Virgil take the other two, though?" asked Vylor.
"We must work on changing our form at our will." Said Argaya.

"Virgil is... Utterly ruthless. If what I saw was any indication, he intends to give them the same power as he has. To be honest, that isn't all he's capable of, either. He can tap the dark blood in his...and my... veins to transform even further. I can use that power, but... it triggers a sort of berserker rage, kinda like Longtails. Last time I used it... I almost killed a friend of mine. That's why...."
Dante said, hesitant about revealing this new detail, afraid that it would cost him his friends...

Korr began to awaken and suddenly remembered what happened and looked down at his leg which was healed, but still ached a little he looked around and said "Where is that little freak I'm going to kill him and make it slow and as painful as possible!"

Cyrix was astounded as he replied "My nephew idd all that! But that would mean he's figured out how to control the Guardian's key...and that would mean....." Cyrix never finished his sentence as Longtail struggled to open his eyes and said "U-uncle....I....I did...it...the...key...h-has been...turned ." He said as he slipped back into his deep sleep.

"That is disconcerting. If Virgil has access to this kind of power, us four must train to master our abilities before they strike again." Said Vylor.
"We should go to the cave and train there. It is isolated enough." Said Argaya.

Cyrix nodded and said "Yes that would be a good idea...however my nephew may be able to perfect his abilities, but if his current state is any indication...he may not survive the next time he turns the key completely again....he needs to control only one element at a time..."

"At any rate, Dante, Argaya, and I will go train. Longtail can come later." Said Vylor.
The group then departed for the cave.

"Agreed. I guess that means that I have to show you the other power I posess. Creation and Destruction, Death and Rebirth, All things of time created, swords of frost and flame! Gather to me! Come, Oblivion! To me, Heartflame!"
And in his hands were a pair of elegant eastern blades. The one in his left hand was pale blue, with a diamond-shaped guard, and a black snowflake-like charm dangling over his fingers. The right sword was of a firey crimson, and had a guard shaped like four flames pointing outward. The charm on this one was a white flame. Dante looked at them, and muttered to himself...
"I swore I would never use these except to protect my dreams and to safeguard my friends. Forgive me Arius, but now is that time..."

"Ah, good to see you awake, Korr. Rest now, for soon... I shall grant you the power to destroy that fool Longtail. Soon..."
Virgil said, eyeing Korr to make sure that he stayed put as he began to make preparations for the ritual...

"I prefer hook-swords, staff-blades, and throwing staves. I sometimes use butterfly swords." Said Vylor. He began chanting something, and his body began to change back into its elven form. Argaya began becoming a dragon at the same time.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to find out who among us is the strongest, besides Argaya. When we get to the Cave, care for a quick duel? I need to get back into practice with these..."
Dante said, grinning as he twirled his blades effortlessly...

"I warn you. If I get you to let go of your blades, I will defeat you effortlessly." Said Vylor as he drew his hook-swords.
-
"Now, Now, Vylor. Don't think that I'll be so easy to beat..." Dante said, twiddling his blades, adding in a toss between his hands as he prepared himself to fight...
-
Cyrix then appeared at the front of the cave and said to Dante "I hope you don't mind me getting to practice with you guys...and don't be fooled I can handle my own." As he then took up a battle position. "Get ready for a real fight!"

"Hmm... This'll be fun! Alroght, Who wants to go first?"
Dante said, keeping an eye on both his opponents.
"Or if you want, I'd go for a free-for all..."

Taking no chances...Cyrix charged at Dante first hoping to at least throw off his balance enough to score a hit or two as he swung his hand in a downward strike followed with a upper cut punch. Cyrix then said "I choose a free-for-all."

"Cool! Pile on Guys, It's time for some Crazy Fun!" Dante yelled as he jumped into the air, landing in a handstand, then spun himself around, lashing out with his legs and tail in all directions.
"Spinning Star!" He yelled as he did so...

The two hook-swords caught Dante by the legs. Vylor let go of his swords, jumped, and began a barrage of throwing staves aimed at Dante's hands.

Dante Grinned, as he pushed up with all his force, launching himself over the staves, and dislodging the hook-swored at the same time. He landed on his feet, and launched himself at Vylor, blades flashing as he began to attack again.

Vylor dodged the blades, and began thrusting staves into Dante at various points. He then began chanting while simultaneously dashing to grab his swords.

Dante stumbled back, but quickly recovered. He crouched low, and began to weave his hands in a series of signs.
"Here you go! Shadow Art: Reflection mirror wall!"
Dante released a strange light around Vylor, and grinned as he awaited the next move...

Vylor crossed his legs, sat on the floor, and began chanting. Vylor then disappeared, and appeared a moment later right next to his swords. The light had vanished. He picked up his swords and shot a series of blasts of white energy at Dante. The blasts hit the staves.

"Gah! Pretty good, Vylor... Guess that means that I'm gonna have to get serious here, huh?" Dante quipped, still crippled by the force of the last attack...
"Here goes! Sankakku Merge!"
Dante stood back up, the glowing wings forming again, and swung both blades in an X-slash, releasing fire and ice waves towards Vylor...

Vylor closed his open palm. Instantly, the staves seemed to thrust themselves into Dante. Then, a white/gray energy began to come out of the end of the staves and coalesced into an orb on top of Vylor's hand.
"Here is your energy. Your life-force. Without it, you should feel fatigued." Said Vylor, gesturing at the orb. "Vanyali." Said Vylor, and a beam shot out of the white orb directly at Dante at whiplash speed.

Cyrix had been thrown back several times due to Dante and Vylor's quick and accurate moves...however the rainbow face was not going down without a fight! He proceeded to run forward and slid under Dante and used his tail to whip Vylor's legs out from under him. Cyrix would've smirked at his minor victory, but he suddenly saw Dante's blades coming down upon his head.

Vylor's hook-swords came out of nowhere and stopped the blade from cleaving Cyrix's head in half.
"You owe me." Said Vylor to Cyrix.

"Oh, Don't worry. I would've pulled the shot. I have no intention of hurting my friends." Dante said, grinning.
"However, Vylor... You're open!"
And Dante lashed out with a swift kick toward Vylor's head...

Vylor took the blow to the head, even though he could have easily dodged it.
Replacing his head was the blast of magic. It hit Dante full on in the chest.
-
Cyrix nodded and said "Yes...yes I do, thank you!" Cyrix then rolled to his feet and was about to retaliate with another few punches when the wind suddenly picked up once more before Cyrix was knocked off his feet and bear-hugged by his now rejuvenated nephew. "You may want to get out of the way, my nephew...this is a battle zone, and I wouldn't want you to get hurt." Cyrix picked up the little flyer, and walked over to the cave and sat Longtail down before returning to the free for all fight.

Dante's swords clattered to the ground, as he crumpled, clutching his chest.
"Heh. Looks like my skills have gotten a little rusty... You win, Vylor."

"Time for you to see me in my true fighting form." Said Vylor, and began speaking in the ancient language very fast.
A silver glow began to surround him. The glow began to thicken and change, until it became a suit of gleaming armor. The armor resembled Argaya's scales, except for two small slits above Vylor's hands. There were many places where staves and swords could be stored.
"Behold my dragon-scale armor. I forged it myself so that I could fight comfortably in it. It is accommodated with special modifications to match my unique fighting style." Vylor said. "Let me heal those wounds." He added, and began to speak in the ancient language.

Cyrix smiled and commented "Very nice, Vylor, however I gotta say that is nothing compared to what my nephew and I have in store, but I do believe training time is over for now...let's go and rest."

"Agreed. Tomorrow, we begin again." Said Vylor. He took off his armor. He and Argaya, however, did not change back into longnecks.
The two then left the cave and found a nice hollow to sleep in. Argaya curled up around Vylor, and lifted one wing over him.

Cyrix nodded and walked back over to his nephew and curled up next to him...as the little flyer yawned and closed his eyes to finish getting the sleep from his recent battle.

Dark-Eye was curious.
"Why did you save me? There was no point." He said to Virgil.
-
Korr nodded and replied "Yeah why did you save us...I mean that freak I was fighting I could've killed if the weather hadn't been acting so darn funny!"
-
"Yeah. Tomorrow, I'll show you guys my dark form. But for now <Yawn> I'm tired out. I'm gonna get some rest."
Dante said, curling up on the ground and shutting his eyes...

"The reason I saved you was simple. I don't simply intend to kill my brother, but to make him suffer before he dies... That's where you two come in. You kill his friends, then he will become a wreck. That's when I kill him."
Virgil said, his face etched with hatred...

Korr smiled as he said "Yeah, killing that freakish flyer will bring me plenty of joy...and I can finally get my revenge! And I will have it!"

"This is excellent. I shall finally become stronger than any elf." Said Dark-Eye with a savage grin on his face.

"Tomorrow will be a bad day for those leaf eating fools!" said Korr with a devilish smile on his face.

Virgil smirked, and he asked...
"Pray tell me why you hate those you do so much? Did they wrong you? If so, then revenge will be yours. The ritual is almost complete..."

Dante tossed and turned in his sleep, tormented by the nightmares of the day he lost the first person who cared about him...

"They brought me into existence. Not on purpose, but they caused my existence. I am now given this intelligence. I am shirked by the rest of my kin. I intend to destroy them." Said Dark-Eye.

That freak Longtail...took my mate from me in the Mysterious Beyond...and I will have my vengeance AND NOTHING WILL STOP ME!" Korr then said something else "I can't wait to tell my son Charger the good news tomorrow!"

Longtail at that moment shot his eyes open and was breathing heavily as he thought about the nightmare he just had...'Just like last time...its the same one too...the day mom....'

"Ah, so it is revenge you seek. Excellent... Step over here please, friends..."
Virgil said, indicating the two painted markings on the ground near him...

"Couldn't sleep either, huh Longtail?"
Dante asked, sitting against a tree, looking at the moon...

Korr stepped onto the mark and asked "What is this going to do...and will it give me the power to kill that freak of a flyer?"

Longtail nodded and said "Yeah...just a bad sleep story...so what now...we still have time until the bright circle rises in the sky?"
-
"A dark force is gathering." Said Vylor as Argaya landed.

"This mark will imbue you with the power of darkness. You will most certainly have the power to kill the flyer. The darkness will protect you from his magicks."
Virgil said, eyes gleaming with anticipation for the power of his new allies...

"Yeah. I can feel it, too. Something bad's going down, I think..."
Dante said to Vylor, looking off at the horizon, before turning to Longtail, and asking...
"So... was the bad sleep-story about... her?"

"I think that we should begin training non-stop. Otherwise, we might be doomed." Said Vylor. "I was able to defeat Dark-Eye very easily at first, but if Virgil is giving Dark-Eye some of his strength, well, you both saw what that was like."
We won't be able to defeat them easily, or at all, if we are not ready.

Dark-Eye stepped onto the marking on the right.

Korr laughed like he had just learned how to rule the world as he dreamed of his revenge the next morning and he looked forward to it as he said "Let me feel the POWER!!!!"

Longtail simply nodded his head at Dante's question knowing he knew the story...but unwilling to speak about it....he looked up and asked "What can I do....I hate seeing it again and again, but every time I do....I feel so weak and helpless, like I can't do anything right."

"It shall be done. Recieve the strength of the Darkness, and may the powers of Chaos go with you!"
With that, Virgil sent a ray of shadows out from his body, enveloping Dark-Eye and Korr in dark energy...

"Vylor's right. We'll have to get stronger, if we want to stand a chance at winning. Oh, and if you were wondering... yeah, that was what my sleep-story was about."
Dante said, looking at the ring on his right hand, then curled his hand into a fist, ready to begin the training...

Korr eyes widened as he felt the power of darkness flowing through his body and he smiled knowing exactly how he would get his revenge on poor little Longtail, and his skin began to darken, and his face curled into a more demonic smile and he simply gave a small at his thoughts of his ultimate revenge.

Longtail shuddered as he suddenly thought of Korr, and that smile of his...he then looked back at his uncle who was still sleeping peacefully and siad at a whisper "Getting stronger is the only option we have....so let's get started!"

Vylor nimbly climbed onto Argaya and the two set off towards the cavern.

Dante ran up the tree he was resting against, leapt off, and raced towards the cavern as well...
-
Longtail spread his wings and followed the others taking one last look at his uncle before whispering "I'm sorry..." And took off in the air.
-
Vylor and Argaya got there first. Vylor began suiting up.
You know, I forgot how good it feels to be in armor. I haven't worn this for so long.
-
Dante leapt out of the tree he had landed in, and he said...
"Hey Vylor! Watch this!"
He focused for a moment, then a crimson-black energy cocoon formed around him, hiding him from sight. When he emerged, silver spines had formed on his arms, legs, and back, as well as the newly-elongated crest on the back of his head. Red plates of armor-like material had formed on his shoulders and hips, and he now had massive energy wings of pure blue.
"How's this for a new look? This is my Dark Morph..."

Vylor raised his hands over his head, then flung them down at lightning speed. Two blades came out of the slits above Vylor's hands.
Then Vylor picked up a sword holster from the ground and put it over his shoulder. The handle to the sword seemed the length of a staff.
Vylor then retracted the two blades and drew the staff blade.
"Ready?" he said, putting his hook-swords on his back.

"Heh. Ready for this?"
Dante asked, ficking his wrists forwards, forming 2-bladed claws over each hand.
Similar blades appeared on the sides of his feet, and he grabbed his twin blades as they formed, this time enveloped in their element. Oblivion had blue flames along the blade, and Heartflame was engulfed in fire.
"Now... Let's go!"

Vylor also flicked his wrists, and the other end of the staff-blade fell off, revealing a second sword.
"Lets get started then." He said, and took a defensive stance.

Longtail landed inbetween Dante and Vylor, and said "Don't start this without me!" he then began to chant an ancient sentence he had learned from his mother "By the Guardian's light I live to fight...to protect the ones I love!" Then the light around his body returned, but this time it changed colors just like in a rainbow as he said "Now we can begin!"

"This should be interesting." Said Vylor, without moving.
Will you need me? asked Argaya.
Maybe. You should be ready to act.

Longtail smiled and as he spoke his voice could be clearly heard, but his voice sounded like other dinosaurs were talking as well, making his voice sound like an entire herd was talking at once. "Then let's go!" He then swung his tail, and just like before the winds picked up and blew Dante off his feet for a moment.

Vylor sensed the wind coming, and crouched to minimize the force of the wind.

Dante nimbly flipped over, landed on his feet, and braced against the wind, making rapid hand signs all the while.
"Shadow Art! Prism Lance!"
A large, multicolored lance fell towards Longtail and Vylor...
-
Longtail saw this coming and quickly dodged out of the way and as he landed he slapped his tail against the ground, and moved his left wing and with those two movements the cround around him began to crack and fissure, and then sky fire began to erupt from the sky and struck close to where Longtail was standing.

"Heh. Well, at least you've gotten stronger with your abilites, Longtail! But still... See if you can dodge these!"
Dante reached back, and small stars of flame formed around his hands. He swung both arms forwards, launching them at Longtail, before preparing to dodge an attack that was likely to come from Vylor...

Longtail bent his neck down and covered his head with his wings, and the rainbow aura coming off of him spread out into a shield deflecting the attack, as the flyer stood up and said "Yeah, you'd be amazed at what a little sleep and a spiritual visit from my mother can do!"

"You know, I thought that you looked different this morning! So now that I know why..."
Dante blurred out and swung a kick at Longtail
"Let's get serious, shall we?!"

Vylor began his assault. His staff began to spin rapidly. He charged at Dante. While doing this, Argaya sent a blast of lightning at the end of each blade.

Longtail said to Dante "Deal! Bring it on!" as he met Dante's kick with his tail, but then ducked as Vylor swung at Dante, barely missing the attack and Longtail swung his own tail again, but this time he blinked and thunder sounded from the sky.

Dante tensed, and as Vylor drew closer, Dante sent a pair of shockwaves out, intending to off-balance Vylor as he turned...

Vylor jumped and spun around 360 degrees (2 pi radians :lol ) and dodged the shock-waves. The blades connected with Dante's swords. The electricity traveled from the staff-blade into Dante's blade. Vylor then proceeded to kick the blade with his armored foot, causing a small section of the blade to come in contact with Dante's unprotected skin.

Longtail then took this opportunity to get a running start and headbutted Vylor, and tail whipped Dante at the same time, hoping to draw their attention.
-
Dante staggered a bit from the shock of the blade on his arm, then saw Longtail's tail coming towards him, dropped down, and spun on his hands, meeting the attack with his own tail and kicking at Vylor at the same time...

Vylor then dropped his staff-blade, and drew some staves. He began stabbing Longtail and Dante with the staves.

Longtail dodged the blades Vylor had produced on his arms, and tried to use his tail to counter the blades, and thanks to the rainbow aura he was able to do so without being harmed. He then whipped his tail 360 degrees in the hopes of tripping one of his opponents.

(Vylor hasn't taken out his arm-blades ... yet)
Vylor parried the attempt to trip him and moved out of the range of the other two. He then extended his arm-blades, and charged at the two combatants.
(Now he has taken out the arm-blades.)

Dante pushed himself into the air again, spinning as he dropped towards Vylor with a heel kick...

Vylor dodged the kick with lightning speed, and thrust his arm at Dante.

Longtail was attempting to think of a good counter move when he was picked up by a hand and was being held into the air by none other than his uncle Cyrix. Longtail grinned as his uncle gave him a cold stare..."Heh...sorry uncle...I was just having a little bit of fun."

Dante had leaned back to dodge the attack, when he saw Cyrix grab Longtail and glare.
"Eh-heh... Hi there, Cyrix..."
He said sheepishly, grinning...

Vylor said nothing. He just returned Cyrix's stare with one of equal intensity.

Cyrix was still staring at his nephew as he said "Do you three have any idea of how much trouble you are in?!" He then glared at Longtail and said "Especially you! You've could've been hurt again!"
Cyrix then set Longtail down and said "I don't want you three to do anymore training unless I supervise it!"
-
"If it wasn't for me, you could have easily died. You owe me your life." Said Vylor.
Anyways, I am supervising this training session to make sure nobody gets hurt. Argaya projected this comment to Cyrix.

This means nothing! I still don't think Longtail should train with you until I know he is completely better!" The little flyer looked up, and cried "But that's not fair! I wanna get stronger so I can fight Korr!" Cyrix glare still didn't soften as he said "I don't care! No fighting or practicing!"

"Then let us heal him if it is physical, and you heal him if it is unique." Said Vylor flatly. "Dante, shall we continue?" asked Vylor.

Cyrix glare softened just a bit, as he said "Well...maybe..." But before he could continue Longtail cut him off by saying "But uncle....Mom visited me in a sleepstory, and healed all my wounds...I'm okay!"
Cyrix closed his eyes and said "I'm sorry nephew, but I still think you should be kept safe until you are needed to fight and not a moment sooner!"

Meanwhile,
Dark-Eye was discussing with Korr and Virgil.
"We need a plan to get those four at our mercy." he stated.

Korr smiled as he came up with a devishly clever idea "How about we use our new abilities to cause general chaos and while everyone is busy trying to place the blame, we go and Kill those fools!"

"I have a different idea. I think we should kidnap someone, and make it so that they could be blamed. Then we kill them."

Korr laughed and replied "This is why I like working with you guys! Let the fun begin!" He then thought ot himself 'I'm coming for you, you freak and you WILL DIE by my horn! And it will be glorious!'

"I say we kidnap the five hatchlings. Not just one. That was foolish of you two to try and take one. It would be a lot more efficient to take all of them." said Dark-Eye.

Korr then asked "But how do you plan on getting them all at once? That would seem harder!"

'I didn't say capture them all at once. I said capture them all. Do it one at a time. It works better." Replied Dark-Eye.

Korr then blushed a little as he said "Yes...I knew that...I-I was just testing you...that's all."

Dante looke up at Vylor, nodded, and braced himself, before doubling over, morphing back to his normal self.
"Darn... That's my limit... I'll need some rest, but I'll be fine... Sorry"
He said lying down and shutting his eyes...

"The Little ones, eh? How shall we go about this? Split up? Or together?"
Virgil asked, his eyes lit with cruel intentions...

Vylor began removing his armor, then crossed his legs and began to meditate.

"We each go for two. Then the last one as a single group." Said Dark-Eye

Longtail yawned and said "Okay uncle...Im tired, and I wanna sleep." Cyrix nodded and said "Of course my nephew." Longtail lied down and fell quickly into a deep sleep.

Korr smiled and said "Yes of course...I will personally go after the little swimmer...she'll be easy to get to."

Dante awoke suddenly, but as his vision cleared, he realized that he was not where he had been only moments ago. He was instead in a strange space, where there was nothing but whiteness.
"Where am I?"
He asked, his voice echoing about him as he looked around...

"That longneck child... He's mine..."
Virgil said as he looked at his allies...
"Anyone want to challenge that?"

A soft motherly voice called out to Dante...'Little one...can you hear me? You are in the realm of the Guardians little one.' The voice waited for a reply, as Dante still looked rather confused about his surroundings.

Korr shook his head and said "No that's not a problem for me...so when do we strike?"

"The Guardian's realm? What am I..."
Dante asked, before a familiar voice cut him off...
"You've been brought here so that we can help you, youngling..."
"A-Arius? Is that you? So that must mean that you're"
He said adressing the other voice...

"We strike as soon as we are able. The sooner, the better..."
Virgil replied...

'Yes dear...I am Longtail's mother. It is very nice to meet you.' 'My name is Soul. How do you feel?"

Korr smiled with malice and said "Perfect! Then I'm striking NOW!" He then walked towards the entrance to the cave.

"Nice to meet you. I feel much better, thanks!"
Dante said, grinning as he realized that he was among people that he could trust.
"Oh, and by the way Soul, your son is quite a person now. He still misses you, though."
Dante looked at the sky before asking...
"Why am I here?"

Virgil said as he got up to capture Littlefoot...

Soul nodded and said 'Yes I know my son misses me, but he knows also not to swell in the past, and to protect those he cares for. However his fate is much harder than I wish it were for him...he is still a child. And to have to face them....just isn't fair!'

Korr said loud enough for the others to hear "I don't need luck, I just need time!"

"Agreed, Soul. But now, at least, he has friends who will stand by him to the very end. I know Dante will."
Arius said, as his spectral form appeared and gave Dante a pat on the arm, just as he had before, before saying...
"And against Them, there are many strong fighters. The Guardian, the Dragon of Darkness, and the Rider."
Dante looked up at the face of his mentor and asked....
"Did you bring me here to teach me more about the... Demon Mode?"
Arius thought for a moment, before responding...
"Yes, but we will also be training Longtail as well. He should be arriving shortly..."

"Agreed. Meet back here when you make your capture."
Virgil said as he blurred out to pursue his new prey...

Longtail opened his eyes as he felt the fatigue disappear. He looked around and sighed "Oh no...not again!" 'Hello my son...it's nice to see you.' Longtail smiled and said "Hi mom, I really hope you don't have any bad news this time." he then looked over and said "Uhh...hi....Dante....what are you doing here?"

Deal!" said Korr as he disappeared into the trees surrounding the cave.

"Hey Longtail. From what I gathered, this is where we're gonna be training, or at least that's what Arius has told me..."
As Dante said this, Arius stood behind him, watching, then said...
"Ah, so you're Longtail! It's nice to finally get to meet you."
and smiled...

Longtail jumped at the sound and immediately turned around to see the ghostly image of Arius standing behind him...he gave a nervous smile and said "Nice to meet you too." Then he remembered Dante's words about training, and he groaned "Again!?" Soul said 'yes my son, it is important! You want to protect your friends don't you?'
Longtail looked down and sighed "Yes...I want to protect them....but there is one thing you need to understand mom." She blinked and asked 'what is that?' "They aren't just my friends, they are my family!"

"Agreed. After I lost Arius, I was all alone. But then I met you guys. Remember? It's been some time, but the memory hasn't faded from my mind..."
Dante said, grinning as he thought back to the two's first meeting...
He drew Heartflame and held it aloft, proclaiming...
"I want to be stronger. To protect all those that I hold dear!"

Longtail smiled and said "I remember too! And I WILL get stronger!" Soul nodded and said 'very good my son....I want to warn you of a stronger foe then Korr and the others you will face.' Longtail blinked as if he had looked directly into the bright circle and screamed "WHAT!!!? STRONGER THAN KORR WHO IS MOST LIKELY SUCKING DARK ENERGY RIGHT NOW?!?!"
Soul nodded again and replied 'yes, I'm sorry dear, but you truly must be ready to give it your all....including your life if the need arises.' Longtail's face darkened as he said "This must be family related right?" Soul simply said nothing and turned to Dante and Arius and said "Shall we begin?"

"Prepare to fight!" exclaimed Vylor, as he put on the forearm guards with the concealed blades. He drew his two elven swords, Arga and Sirat, and resumed his ready stance.

"I will go for the two smallest. It will be as easy as can be." Said Dark-Eye.

"Oh! Vylor you're here too? Didn't notice you..."
Dante said, startled at the sudden appearance of his other friend...
"Arius, this is Vylor, my newest friend!"
Arius again appeared out of the mist and spoke
"Hello, Vylor. Rider, should I say?"
As he smiled at the elf...

Longtail looked confused as he said "Wait....Vylor, how did you get here? I thought only those who lost someone special could come here..." then another thought came to him "Do you even know where you are Vylor?"

"Yeah... How did you get here? I mean..."
Dante stammered as he looked at Vylor...

"Excellent. The trap is set, the bait ready. Now comes the inevitable capture of Littlefoot, the leader..."
Virgil said, a demonic tone in his voice as he eyed the "bait", which was Littlefoot's grandparents, and laughed...

Korr stopped near Ducky's nest, and smiled as he thought 'She and that spiketail will be simple targets, and as soon as I have them...the others will fall into place and that longtailed freak. And the valley herd will have to send him away, and I'll be there to pick up the remains.'
Korr took three steps towards Ducky and Spike who were sleeping a small distance away from their siblings and Korr only smiled wider as he said "Yes...just sleep little ones, your sleep-stories are about to become a nightmare!"

Virgil cut the vines he had used to gag Littlefoot's grandparent's mouths, and then proceeded to put one hand on each before sending dark electricity through them, causing them to scream in pain.
Littlefoot heard the noise, and as he ran to investigate, a large net of woven shadow fell on him, trapping him where he stood and shocking him into unconciousness...

He noticed that this was not the cave. His blades were not at his sides.
"I am never lost. Everything else is just in the wrong place." Said Vylor.
Suddenly, spasms of pain racked his body. It was as though many people that he was linked to suddenly were hit with massive amounts of pain.
"We...must...help...those...in...need. They...are...in...great...danger." He said, wheezing with each word.

Dark-Eye appeared by Korr. "When I said the two smallest, I meant the flyer and the swimmer." He was holding Petrie. The flyer was limp and unconscious, but calm, as though sleeping.

"Arius, you heard him! Our friends are in trouble! We gotta go help them!"
Dante yelled, turning to leave...

"Ah... I see we all have been successful. That's good. Now, let's prepare the deception..."
Virgil said as he appeared next to Korr and Dark-Eye...

Soul shouted "NO! We have to train you three....your friends will have to wait." Longtail turned on his mothers unseen form and screamed "NO! My friends safety comes before my own! You know I won't let them get hurt! Wake. Me. UP!" Longtail then bit down on his tail trying to wake himself up.
Korr smiled devoutly and said "Then let's get to work! No time like the present."

"I think that we should prepare. I know what they are planning. I think. Your friends are safe. They won't be killed unless we fail." Said Vylor.
Argaya popped into existence in her fully grown form. She was about twice the size of Littlefoot's grandparents.

"Alright." Said Dark-Eye, and began quietly sneaking up on the unknowing swimmer.

Dante looked at the ground, then at his claw...
"I hate to admit it, but Vylor's right. Virgil won't do anything unless it's timed perfectly. We need to be strong enough to beat them if we're gonna go for it..."
Dante conceded, worry and fear in his voice...
"Don't worry Dante. They'll be safe. I Promise. I have a gift for you to use."
Arius placed a glowing red stone pendant around Dante's neck. The stone was set into a delicately-carved metal amulet, and seemed to dance with some internal fire.
"It was found next to you when you were born. I kept it until you were ready, and now... you are. Try to use your transformation again..."
Arius said, urging Dante on...

"I don't need to train any more. All I am doing is preparing you for the upcoming battle." Said Vylor. "Now, I want you to try to strike me in the legs."
He drew his elven blades, which he noticed were now on his sides.

Dark-Eye grabbed the swimmer, and quickly applied pressure to certain spots on the head and body to make sure she remained unconscious.

Dante Grinned, and he again transformed. This time, however, it seemed like he was in better control of his energy, as there was none being wated in the form itself.
"Right. Let's test that shall we, Vylor?"
Dante said as he ran at Vylor beginning the fight with a swift spinning rush attack with both blades...

Vylor bent his knees and ducked to dodge Dante's attack. When Dante was right above Vylor, he struck the raptor from below.

Dante saw the movement, and dodged just in time to avoid the attack. As he flipped over Vylor with a mid-air wheeling attack, he inquired
"So...If you're here, that means you lost someone close to you. Who was it for you?"
-
"It was not me. It was Argaya. Due to our mental connection, there are few things that we do not share." Vylor replied as he began channeling magic to his palms. The edges of his blades began to glow with a soft silver light.

Longtail looked over at Dante and Vylor going at it once again and said "Oh no you two are not starting another fight without me!" But before he could His mothers true form showed itself and Longtail could only gasp in awe as his mother looked like an older version of himself, only white where his skin was blue, and purple where his crest was red...and her eyes were a dull grey.
She simply smiled at him and waited for him to speak as she said "I also have a gift for you my son!" Soul walked over and just as she was a foot in front of her son she raised her tail and tapped the little flyer on the head and his eyes widened as his body changed. His skin turned white as well and a second pair of wings made from light grew from his back and his rainbow colored aura returned once more, but Longtail suddenly noted "I'm floating...mother what did you do?" She only smiled and said "Come at me, and don't hold back!"
Longtail confused but having to obey began to combat his mother...

Dante looked at Argaya, interested...
"And who was it that you lost? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to..."
As he vaulted back off of Vylor. He focused for a moment, then released thousands of shards of energy around him before launching them at Vylor with great speed...

As Longtail swung his tail at his mother, Soul moved out of the way and Longtail followed her...right into the path of the shards Dante was throwing at Vylor and both flyers immediately spun there bodies in a sprial formation and deflected the shards and continued fighting each other, with Longtail attempting to bite his mother. Soul was ahppy to see her son improving but noted with a grim face her son was holding back.
She remided this by saying "Come on my son...STOP TRYING TO HIT ME AND HIT ME!"

Almost my entire race. Argaya replied to Dante's question.
Vylor slashed his swords, and a thin slice of white energy came to meet the shards. The two projectile bodies collided, and all the shards disappeared, while the slice kept on going.

Suddenly Longtail stopped attacking his mother and looked around. He sniffed the air several times, and looked back to his mother and said "I don't feel very good, can we rest." Soul nodded and said "Of course my son."

Dante staggered back, reeling as though from some unseen strike. His transformation flickered, then died out.
"What? How did I? ... I feel so weak..."
And he dropped to his knees...

Vylor and Argaya noticed what was happening. At once, Vylor opened his hand and shouted "Letta." and the slice stopped, then was sucked into the silver mark on Vylor's palm.
He then noticed that his form was starting to fade. He strengthened his resolve, and the fading stopped. Argaya did the same.

As the glow around Longtail faded he felt weak, too weak to stop what was about to happen as a dark and evil voice boomed from nowhere "Ah child of my son why have you come here again, perhaps seeking answers once again, or perhaps you finally wish to die like the failed creature you really are?" Soul had suddenly disappeared and in her place stood an all black sharptooth with yellow eyes and blood red teeth.

Vylor sensed danger, and quickly began to enter the minds of Dante and Longtail. He began to give them some of his energy.
Do not fail. The survival of your friends depends on your success. he told them as he was supplying them with his strength.

Longtail could feel Vylor's strength enter his body but he still sat on the floor knowing exactly what was supposed to happen next. Longtail said "Don't worry you guys this is just the darker part of my mind coming out to pay us an unwanted visit....he can't really hurt us, not so long as I'm awake anyway."

"I sensed an evil force coming, and I tried to help you two survive." Vylor replied.

Longtail smiled and said "It's okay. Give me one moment and that dangerous feeling will pass." With that said Longtail stood up and began to glow with his rainbow aura again, looked over to his darker half and said "This is our day...you can't stop us..." and the next few words both of them said to together "We are one." and the dark sharptooth disappeared in flash of green smoke and the Guardians realm was quiet once more.

"So, what about Dante?" asked Vylor.

"Ngh... I... I think I'm okay, except for this headache..."
Dante replied, forcing himself onto his feet...

Longtial nodded and said "Good to hear it Dante, so now what do we do? I don't think I'll be hearing from my mom for a while."

"We should return to the real world. We have spent far too much time secluded. We must prepare to fight!" replied Vylor.
I agree fully. Argaya responded.

"Right. That's probably the best idea. Although... the darkness is frightening me that it can disrupt our morphs. We'd better be careful." Dante agreed, a note of fear in his voice...

"Mine isn't a morph. It is a second real form." Vylor said. "I speak for Argaya as well. Just try to control it. I also think I have found a way of defeating Dark-Eye."

"Right. Sorry. Anyways, I think... that I've developed a move to counter Virgil's shadows..."
Dante said, grinning a little at the thought...

"We won't know if it works until you face him." said Vylor.
Longtail, how do we return to the real world? Argaya asked Longtail.

Yeah you guys are probaly right besides I would like to smell some fresh air again!" said Longtail after hearing everyone else's comments and then he smiled and said "I have a trick that Korr will never be expecting!" 'I can't wait to see the look on his face!' thought Longtail to himself

"I intend to logically, not physically, defeat Dark-Eye. And, by the way, you still haven't answered Argaya's question." Vylor said.

Oh right sorry!" said Longtail with sheepish grin on his face as he finally answered Arhyas question. "We just think about going home...it's that simple! At least that's how it's work anyway."

"In that case, I guess we better get going, right?"
Dante said, thinking about going home as he did so....

"Yep I guess we should!" said Longtail as he closed his eyes and thought about the Great Valley and going back there.

Argaya and Vylor both thought of Du Weldenvarden.

When Longtail opened his eyes he was standing in his uncles cave with Dante standing next to him, he looked around a bit and said with a smirk.
"Told you it would work Dante!"

"We should go see what has happened in our departure." Vylor said. Both he and Argaya were longnecks again.

Longtail stepped out of his uncles cave for a moment and immediately saw Argaya and Vylor and called over to them "Hey you guys! Over here! Dante is with me!" he then walked back into the cave and still saw Dante standing still and said "Hello anyone home Dante?" still getting no response Longtail did the one thing he knew would get his friends attention....he swiftly headbutted Dante knocking him back a step or two...

"Ow! You didn't have to hit so hard you know! I was just getting my bearings. Geez!" Dante said, rubbing at his head, where a decent bruise was already forming...

"Oh sorry Dante...but if you had said something I wouldn't have headbutted you like that!" said Longtail with a frown on his face. "here let me get some mud for that bruise on your head!" The flyer immediately ran out of the cave looking for mud to sooth Dante's bump on the head.

"Who will go check where?" asked Vylor.
"When we find out what has happened, we can formulate a counter-attack." Argaya stated.

As Longtail returned with the mud for Dante's bump on the head he heard Argya and Vylor speaking and he immediately said "No...we know they are up to no good, if we wait till morning when the other elders find out that Littlefoot and the others are missing, and we show up without them, they might suspect something! We need to go get them now!"

"I know that they are planning our downfall, but we must first help those injured by this evil. Then, we will deal with those three." Vylor said.
"If we just try to find them, which is what they want, we will surely fail. We must plan so that they will be caught off guard." Argaya added.

Longtail looked shocked as he replied "The only ones who are going to be hurt are Littlefoot and the others if we don't do something soon...an-" Just as Longtail was going to continue a hand clasped the flyers beak shut and a voice they all recognized said at a whisper "But they are right my nephew...we must wait and see them make the first move...I know it can be hard to wait...and that chasing the Saurischia out of the valley was entertaining, but this is different, we must wait"
The young flyer turned to his uncle and said "B-but if they get hurt....I-I don't know what I would do." Cyrix embraced his nephew and replied "You will only have a reason to fight harder."

"Agreed. Vylor and I will do some scouting. We'll be back soon." Argaya said.
With that, the two longnecks ran back to the valley.

Although he knew they didn't need it he said it anyway: "Be careful you two...you are my firends too after all."
Cyrix nodded and said to his nephew "I'm sure they will be."

"Where to first?" Argaya asked.
"Let's just get a bird's eye view of the valley." Vylor said, with a slight grin.
Argaya began searching her mind for the dragon inside her, broke through the barrier. She began changing into her dragon form. She was shoulder to shoulder with Vylor, who became his elven self.

Dante smirked, and he casually commented
"I'm gonna go look around from a treetop vantage point. That could help out with locating our enemies..."

Vylor began scanning the Valley for any suspicious behavior.
He immediately noticed Littlefoot's grandparents on their sides.

As Dante left the cave to scout the area...Longtail suddenly picked up a scent...and it was strong...which also meant that it was close...'Too close.' thought Longtail as he turned to his uncle and said "We need to go...right now! There is something close by, and it is trouble...come on!" And before Cyrix could stop him Longtail had already bolted out of the cave following Dante...hoping to give him the news.

"Argaya, get down there. Now!" Vylor shouted to Argaya. She immediately dived out of the sky and descended towards the longnecks.

Dante tensed up on the tree where he was standing...
"The wind...It's gone silent... This is bad..."
As he leapt down from the tree and reached out to contact Vylor with his mind...

"I know something is wrong Dante." Vylor said. He was looking upon Grandma and Grandpa Longneck. Both were bound around the legs.
Argaya began slicing the vines holding their legs. She then began helping them up to their feets.
"We need to know what happened to you two." Vylor said.

Longtail suddenly stopped running and thought to give the news to Vylor and Argaya 'Guys I've picked up a scent and it's strong...someone id close by, and they aren't friendly...what do we do?' In that short amount of time Cyrix caught up to Longtail and said "We need to find the others and come up with a plan!"
Longtail sighed and said "Yes I know Uncle...thats exactly what I'm doing." Cyrix looked surprised as he said "Oh...okay continue."

"Dante, it was Virgil who did this. He then proceeded to kidnap Littlefoot." Vylor said.
"Longtail, prepare to flee. Wait until all of four of us are together." Argaya said.

Dante reached back, drawing his swords from their holsters, ready in case anything happened.
"Longtail, Argaya, Vylor. Be careful. Virgil can create a field in which he can't be seen by normal eyes. Watch it..."

Why watch when we can sense? We just have to sense for his mind. Vylor replied as he flew back to the cave with Argaya.

"Dante, it was Virgil who did this. He then proceeded to kidnap Littlefoot." Vylor said.
"Longtail, prepare to flee. Wait until all of four of us are together." Argaya said.
Longtail nodded and turned to his uncle and said "We have to find somewhere safer than this cave..." "But Longtail..." Asked Cyrix as he was cut off "We don't have time, we just need to go now!" and with that both figures took off towards the Tree of Life in the center of the Great Valley.

Dante looked around, feeling a surge of energy.
"To the tree of Life! We gotta move!"
He said to himself and ran off at full tilt towards the great tree.

Argaya, I would follow them. They know what they are doing. I hope. Vylor projected.

Longtail and Cyrix finally made it to the Tree of Life, and as the two were leaning against it's massive trunk, Cyrix asked "Well, now what my young nephew?" And almost as a reflex action Longtail giggled and said "now...we wait, and see."

Dante ran up next, skidding to a stop, as he looke at Longtail and Cyrix.
"Do we wait now, or do something about our current...problem?

'We make the first strike. It is a smarter move in this instance. If we wait, then we don't have the element of surprise, and we are on the defensive. We want to be on the offensive.' Vylor stated as Argaya landed by Dante.

Longtail and Cyrix both smiled as Longtail said "Oh yeah...now comes the fun part...so how do we strike? Fast and dangerous, or slow and make then think about what they've done?" Cyrix giggled and replied "Now now my nephew...try not to get too excited...I know you wanna fight....but this requires a quite silent approach...."

'Stealth is key. The closer we can get to them without them noticing us, the better.' Vylor said, dismounting Argaya.

Longtail was about to respond when his uncle beat him too it..."Let's go then!"

"Excellent. Finally, my training in Ninjutsu will pay off. Let's make them regret their foolishness..."
Dante said, a small, evil smirk crossing his face...

'They might not be as foolish as you think. They are probably prepared for an attack.' Vylor said.
However, we should plan first. Vylor and I will try to find them mentally. Once we know of their location, we can plan how to strike best. Argaya projected.

Cyrix and Longtail exchanged a glance as Cyrix said "That sounds like a good idea. Please proceed Argaya, and hurry, the other little ones may not have a lot of time left." And Longtail said "Yeah, I wanna smack Korr around for a while!"

Fine. She projected.
She then proceeded to open up her mind to scan for any dark mind. She couldn't find any inside the valley, so she expanded her search. She then found them in the hidden caverns.
I found them! she exclaimed, and then proceeded to tell them where it is.

Dante's eyes flickered, turning into the darker eyes of the Sankakku demon, and he spoke again...
"We move, then. Darkness take them... and we will rescue our friends..."
