The year is 21XX. It has been nearly a century since the discovery of the first Anthromorphic human, or as they came to be known, "furries". They have since integrated into society as a whole, bringing their unique talents to the world. However, since then, strange phenomena have begun occuring. Tears in the fabric of reality have begun to crop up. And where these breaches appear, there are monsters following. Mutations that have become advanced and begun hunting humans and furries alike. In response to these attacks, the governments of the world have united to create the Titan Project. Producing mechanical suits designed to combat these intrusions, an array of pilots have been selected, trained, and deployed in combat. However, this war has turned into a losing battle. Pilots are being lost faster than they can be trained, and so the governments have begun to recruit volunteer pilots, though only a select few can adapt to the project. This is their story. This is their legacy...

The brush danced over the canvas, orange tendrils trailing behind it as it moved to curve upward and then to the right. Again this motion was repeated, filling that tendril in with even more color and depth. Two more times the brush was run over the same spot, a white hand manipulating it until the color came out fully to the artist's satisfaction.
Round orange eyes studied the picture, the strange mishmash of reds, oranges, and blacks giving the impression of a fire that was playing over the canvas. To some observers, it was nothing but a series of lines and colors, but to others, perhaps flames could be discerned. Or maybe it was flowers. Either way, it was abstract, and Vergil Speicher wanted to leave it open to viewer interpretation just what they saw within its depths.
"Phew... I think it's time for a break." The voice was deeper, rich and baritone like, and certainly didn't seem to match the diminutive form that set his palette down on a small table beside the canvas. Vergil Speicher was a gecko-like creature with pure white skin, as if it had been bleached multiple times. He stood on two legs, being an anthro, and had a tail about the length of his body stretching out behind him. As for his height, he stood only about three and a half feet tall, though from his head some prominent white feathers jutted out backwards, almost like a headdress of sorts but being as natural to him as hair was to humans. Well... perhaps not completely "natural." Vergil looked nothing like others of his kind. His white skin, head feathers, and large orange eyes were atypical, being the result of heavy genetic manipulation.
Tapping a finger on his long, angular snout, the gecko gave one final glance at the picture, and decided it truly was time for a break. He needed some fresh air... and he most likely had to report to his station soon. Vergil was one of those newer pilot recruits who was still considered "green" but was showing great potential, and much of his work days were spent in intensive training.
Snagging his keys from the same table the palette rested on, he locked his small apartment on the way out, pushed the down button in the hallway, and began riding the swift elevator down to street level. It was time to start the day "proper."

Captain Rhodan clutched his saber upon reflex and glowered ahead of him, glaring evilly at the titanium alloy elevaor doors as if they had somehow cursed him, or - judging by the way he was staring at them - his mother.
The anthro frilled lizard stood about six and a half feet in height, which was a challenge standing in this rather cramped metal chute; his length was a different story. Rhodan, being an anthropomorphic, walked on two legs, leaving his sizeable four-foot-long tail to drag along behind him.
Now in the elevator, on the way to the top level, Rhodan held his tail aloft with one claw and with the other, he was still fiddling with his saber. He was nervous, and annoyed, and just plain tired - it had been an early start for him as he arranged some sort of substitue to look after his troops while he was away on such the mission he signed up for. A "mission that he probably wouldn't return from", the substitute had remarked drily. Rhodan knew that, but that didn't deter his willingness to participate in what he believed a noble cause: justice. Justice always had a nice ring to it, and causes for justice's sake were most often the safe ones. Besides, he was a skilled warrior and wasn't really concerned about the unknown.
At least, not any more concerned than he thought he should be.

Adrian smirked and leaned against the railing, looking over his Hunter suit as it was outfitted. Idly sighing and leaning back, he glanced over as a slightly pudgy wolfess walked towards him, looking down slightly.
"Oh, hey Shannon. Something the matter? I mean...you look down."
He said softly, suddenly concerned for his pack Alpha, and long-time friend. The wolfess glanced up, eyes red from crying, and shook her head.
"Not really...I just found out that he was cheating on me...we..."
She let out a little sob and threw her arms around him, burying her face in his shoulder and whimpering as he wrapped his arms around her...

The elevator in Vergil's building reached the bottom floor, or more precisely, the subterranean garage. While most cars had hover features these days and didn't touch the streets, Vergil was a bit... old fashioned. The gecko had received a huge sign-up bonus upon enlisting, and as it was figured these volunteer pilots wouldn't live very long past their initial tours of duty, the government had decided something was needed as a little extra incentive for the ones brave (or stupid) enough to even perform this type of work.
As Vergil didn't believe in playing much close to his chest these days, he'd went ahead and dumped most of his bonus on a novelty... albeit an expensive novelty. He'd bought a custom built replica of a 1937 Cord 812 convertible. It was red colored, as Vergil really didn't want to contrast too much with a black one, or blend in too much with one that was white.
Popping the trunk, the gecko stowed a bag he'd been carrying on his shoulder, and proceeded to enter his car and start up the Lycoming V8. Listening to it idle, the gecko stepped out to lower the top before reentering the car. Depressing the clutch and putting the Cord into gear, Vergil pulled out of the garage and eased the car into traffic. Sometimes he got odd looks, but more often than not fellow motorists admired the older "toy" that drove beside their newer vehicles.
Turning on the radio for some music, the gecko sat back and worked his way towards the highway. The nice thing about the Cord 812 was that it had a semi-automatic transmission, meaning after the first shift into gear, no more shifting was required. Turning his orange eyes briefly skyward, the gecko tried to keep his mind off... other things. Things like his good friend's wedding. Things like how much he loved his good friend... and how she was marrying another one of his best friends and not him. Yes... life wasn't always kind or fair...
Turning up the radio and trying to clear his mind, Vergil accelerated as he reached the highway, taking the "loop" around the city to the base. Pressing the pedal down, Vergil watched the speedometer as he crept it up to just about 10 above the speed limit (at least for cars on analog control. The "fast lane" all went the same speed under digital control). Sure, driving a car like this meant one had to be constantly aware at all times, but Vergil didn't care. He felt it a thrilling thing to experience every time he put himself behind the wheel of his new Cord. Besides... life was too short not to experience things like this...
The wind whipped his feathers as he maintained his speed, the music surrounding him as he settled into a state of relaxed awareness, and though he briefly considered stopping by Alice's place to wish her well on her upcoming wedding, he instead zoomed by her exit and kept going. There would be a time for that later... right now, he just wanted to enjoy the ride.

Gar was relaxing in a chair. He had a book that was open in his lap and he was reading it. He was an anthro dragon, not a common thing. He adjusted the way he weas sitting to put less puressure on his wings. He looked around a bit at his surroundings before he turned the page and went back to his reading, not in any hurry at the moment.

Inside the briefing room, Adrian sat next to Shannon, who had her head laying in his lap as she sniffled a little, then looked up at him.
"Hey...Adrian...do you think maybe...we could..."
She froze, then blushed and looked away as the doors opened again...

Vergil was nearing the base now, the rather large structure looming ahead of him as his Cord moved along at its steady pace. The weather was nice enough that Vergil decided to get off the highway a few exits early, so he could enjoy a slower drive into the base. Preselecting third gear with the lever on the dash, Vergil pressed the clutch and the car automatically downshifted with no need for the driver to do anything further.
Driving through the outskirts of the city, Vergil was glad he was able to clear his mind of other less... savory thoughts. Instead, he was fully into the drive now, relaxing and enjoying the smooth ride the Cord always gave. Despite being one of the world's first front-wheel drive vehicles, the car evinced none of the bad qualities many of those front-wheel drives had at the time, such as bad vibrations or rough handling.
White wall tires screeching a tad as he made the turn and drove down the declining road towards the base, Vergil accelerated before slowing gradually to a halt at the security gate. Scanners were moving all over his car, looking for anything out of the ordinary, though the gecko couldn't physically see any of this. Upon matching his DNA with that found on file and not detecting anything malicious with the car, the heavy blast door leading to the base's garage drew down into the ground, and Vergil drove on in, finding a parking spot towards the garage's middle.
It was finally time to kill the engine, and Vergil reluctantly did so, switching the key to the off position and shutting down the V8. Man he loved this car. It made his morning and evening commutes that much better. It made him look forward to every day, despite how short he kept hearing his life would be.
Stepping out into the garage, Vergil removed the special shoes he wore which allowed him to reach the pedals, and put the Cord's top back up, latching it into place before retrieving his bag from the trunk.
A few minutes more and the white gecko was entering the briefing room, taking note of a were and a female wolf already present. Clearing his throat slightly (he was a tad embarrassed as he seemed to be interrupting something), the gecko moved behind the row of seats and gave off a "Good morning" as he set his bag down in one of the chairs and moved to sit next to it. He wasn't familiar with these two, but that wasn't a surprise, seeing as he had only been recruited two weeks ago.

Rhodan grumbled as he stepped off the elevator, which had given him a jolt as it reached the top floor. He hopped neatly off and released his tail, which fell to the floor with a dull thump.
Adjusting his tri-corner hat and making sure his sash bearing his medals was in plain sight - he wanted to make a good impression - she strode smartly down the hallway, reaching the briefing room described to him. He noticed he wasn't alone. He grimaced slightly at the other three figures inside, but made no comment.
It wasn't that he was prejudiced against weres or geckoes - he was a reptile himself after all - but he was indeed curious. What other anthropomorphics had been selected. He nodded curtly as he entered and seated himself rather clumsily in a chair near the front of the room. After all, he was a captain - he needed to be at the front of action.

Adrian looked up as Rhodan and Vergil entered the room, nodding at them both. As Vergil took a seat near him, he blushed and chuckled a little.
"This is so not what it looks like, by the way. Also, yeah. G'morning."
He said with a small smirk as Shannon looked up...

Vergil realized he was being addressed, and looked over at Adrian as Rhodan entered the room. Vergil wasn't sure if Rhodan was their commander, but judging from his uniform, Vergil decided to play it safe, and rose to his feet, giving a salute. "Um... sir." he said, nodding. He then sat back down and smiled at Adrian's words.
"Eheh... I'm sure it wouldn't be any of my business even if it was." he chuckled a little here, then decided to extend his hand out in greeting. "Vergil Speicher. I'm relatively a newcomer to this. Was recruited just two weeks ago."

Adrian grinned and reached out and shook Vergil's hand.
"Adrian. Adrian Yukimura Starr. You can call me Yuki. Second-in-command of the 07th Mobile Corps."
He said, smiling amiably as Shannon reached out a hand.
"And I'm Shannon MacDonald. Formerly Co-Commander of the same. Nice to meet you."
She said with a smile...

"Oh! Second-in-command!" Vergil stated, frowning thoughtfully and nodding as he first shook Adrian's hand. "Impressive! Yuki it is, then! Nice to meet you."
He then proceed to shake Shannon's hand. "Nice to meet you as well." he responded. "Formerly? May I ask what your current status is, then?" Vergil asked curiously, looking from her to Adrian and hoping it was the right thing to say.

Shannon looked aside and then smiled a little.
"Now, I'm the sole leader. My...ex-mate is...well he isn't welcome back anymore. Let's just leave it at that. And I'm also still the Alpha of my pack."
She chuckled. Yuki smirked.
"Yeah, well...the reason isn't the best..."
He said softly...

Vergil nodded as he listened to Shannon's explanation. He picked up on what Adrian had said, but decided not to pry too much into her background just yet. It didn't sound like a good separation, after all. Plus she did say she wanted to leave it at that, and Vergil could certainly respect that.
"Ahhh so... you're his superior then." Vergil commented, pointing from Shannon to Adrian. "Makes sense now." he nodded once more.

Shannon smirked and nodded.
"Yep. In more ways than one."
She chuckled, as Adrian rolled his eyes. He looked like he was about to say something else, but before he could, the room lights darkened, and a lone figure stepped out onto the platform. General Azerius, one of the foremost leaders of the Titan project, and commander of the facility that housed one of the major response teams. Stepping towards a podium, he cleared his throat.
"Alright. Captain Rhodan, Lieutenants Starr and MacDonald, and Mr...Vergil, was it?"
He said, glancing around at the four others in the room, then nodding.
"Good, you're all here. There's been rift activity developing near the city park in the heart of town. You four are going to be dispatched in Hunter-class gear to observe the area and contain or destroy any incursions that make it through. We have support weapons ready, and will be able to send them as soon as you need. Be warned, however, that the telemetry data is indicating that there will be multiple incursions. Be on your guard. All troops, get ready and suit up in your Cores!"
He snapped the last line as an order, and Adrian and Shannon both nodded, snapping salutes...

"Speicher... sir." Vergil spoke up when asked if he simply went by Vergil. "Sergeant First Class... Speicher, sir." he stated, his voice low so as to avoid interrupting too much.
The park... the heart of town... not good. So... they were going to be deployed today. And the threat was close to home. Wonderful. Vergil came to attention at the end of the briefing, and displayed a smart salute as well, his face becoming serious.
It was time to go to work... time to break out the Hunter and do what he did best... preserving society so they could enjoy more days ahead.

Rhodan nodded and moved to sit up, but he had a final question. "Sir," he addressed first, voice low.
"Without any previous training in this deployment, are you certain tat's a wise decision?" He asked, narrowing his eyes slightly. His tail tapped the floor behind him, as if echoing his apparent concern.

General Azerius nodded.
"Your concern is noted. But I selected this team because you are the best pilots we have. I have utmost confidence in your ability to succeed in this mission. We've already begun evacuating the area, so there should be minimal risk of civilian casualties. However, do keep damage to the area low. I'm trusting you to take charge of the group, since you're the ranking officer. Make sure they come back alive."
He said, nodding...

Rhodan saluted smartly, but he didn't feel like his question had been answered. He came upon the group outside and he nodded curtly towards them all.
"I... I suppose the time has come to move out. I'm to take command of the group, so I'm told. Might as well introduce myself." He clicked his plantigraded ankles together and his tail behind him cracked against the floor with whip-like intensity.
"Captain Rhodan Agaminae. I don't often resort to last-name basis, however. My skills as a pilot are outmatched only when I'm on the groundm but I am capable of handling such a craft. If you need anything, I prefer to be addressed as Captain." He looked around the group, settling on the gecko he had seen when he first entered the room.
"And you, sir?"

Adrian smirked and nodded.
"Right. Adrian Yukimura Starr. Second Lieutenant, and Second-In-Command of the 07th Mobile. Nice to meet you, sir. My Hunter and I are ready to assist."
He chuckled. Shannon elbowed him in the ribs, then saluted.
"Sir. Lieutenant Shannon MacDonald, Commander of the 07th Mobile. Standing by to launch and assist in the operation, sir."
She said, smiling a little...

Vergil cleared his throat, and came to attention as Captain Rhodan looked at him and asked who he was. "Sergeant First Class Vergil Speicher, Captain." Vergil responded. "I've only been in this program two weeks, though. I have previous staffing experience with other jobs, however, and my initial enlistment test reports indicated I could serve as a sergeant based on that experience, so here I am." he said, spreading his arms just a tad.

Both satisfied and pleased that his team knew what they were about, Rhodan dipped his head slightly. "You all seem very well equipped, and for that it is an honor to command this team."
He smiled then, probably the first time he had really smiled all day.

Shannon chuckled and nodded.
"Only one condition, sir. Nobody left behind. We all come home from this."
She said confidently...

Vergil nodded as he heard Shannon's words now. "That's a condition I can get behind." he said with all seriousness, looking at his soon to be comrades-in-arms.

Adrian chuckled and rolled his shoulders.
"Alright, let's get ourselves into our Cores, and get ready to kick some incursion tail."
He grinned....

Rhodan nodded in agreement. "Of course." He looked around with raised brows.
"Well, since I'm at the slight disadvantage - never having been in this building before - I'm going to have to follow you." He stepped back in a smooth 'after-you' gesture.

Adrian nodded and led the way to a small locker-room esque location.
"Here we go. This is where they keep our Core suits. We'll need to get in them, and then we're ready."
He chuckled.
"Oh, and Vergil, Captain? What sorts of weapons are you guys planning on using?"
He added...

Vergil entered the locker room with the others and began to suit up into his Core. "Well..." He said, tossing his bag in the locker. It contained a personal weapon of his, as well as a change of clothes for the end of the day given that... this type of work tended to make him sweaty. Despite being reptilian in appearance, he was not cold-blooded. "I tend to use a blade outside of the mechs." he explained now, strapping the suit around his arms first.
"I usually use a very quick, agile technique, that's very acrobatic in nature. I study different forms of fighting, but right now, speed and agility are my favorite." he outlined.

Adrian grinned, and idly stretched as he switched into is core, pulling his gauntlets on, chuckling.
"Good. I'll get a new set of blades loaded into the weapon pods. They should work with your fighting style."
He said with a smile, then a small squeak as Shannon nonchalantly stripped, tossing her panties onto his nose. She smiled at the others, arching her back and thrusting her breasts forward as she did so...

The snake beast Logan Skyler had been held in jail for several weeks for a string of crimes he'd committed in the past, and now after realizing that he didn't want just a life of survival, but of purpose he had swiftly joined the military operations in the hope that he'd get to do some good... or kill something worthy, either way it worked well for his personal mindset. As it was he was now currently slithering into the locker room as the others were currently changing into their gear and he looked around for a moment not seeing anyone he recognized, but in response he used his forked tounge to sniff the air around him with a slight scwol.
"Who is in command here?" he asked loudly and with an air of irritation in his voice.

"Very good." Vergil responded to Adrian, and then paused in his strapping on of his Core as Shannon practically (and not very secretively) bared everything in front of them.
It was a good thing Vergil was mostly in his Core now because... was it starting to get a bit stuffy in there? Realizing he was staring, the gecko blinked and quickly looked into his locker as if checking to make sure he'd actually thrown his bag in there.
His reverie was fully broken however by the voice coming from the door of the room, and Vergil turned to glimpse a snake beast standing there, sounding irritated at something. "Um... he is." Vergil nodded in Rhodan's direction.

Shannon grinned at Vergil, turning around and bending over, tail raised, to pull on her boots. As soon as she heard the other voice walking in, she squeaked a little and immediately dropped her tail between her legs, standing up and turning around.
"That's the Captain over there."
She stammered...

Rhodan turned quickly, in the middle of fitting. Not used to being surprised, he glared hard in the direction of... the vent? He answered Adrian's question as he made for the vent. "I use my saber; it's what I'm comfortable with, but if there is something more effective and lethal, be sure to remind me.
Now, who are you?" He boomed, threateningly. His tail cracked against the floor and he stood tall.

Adrian started typing away on a wrist computer integrated into his gauntlet.
"Right. Requisitions put in, and loaded up. Once we get geared up, we're ready to head out and kick some..."
As soon as he heard the voice, he turned, grabbing a sword from his locker and turning towards the door.
"Who's there? Show yourself."
He said tersely...

Logan turned his head in the direction of the one the others had mentioned was the commanding officer and he blinked for a moment before slithering further into the room and glared down at Rhodan before slowly raising his hand and saluting. "Captain. Logan Skyler reporting for duty." He then glanced at the others present and added, "Although honestly I don't know what good I'd be in a cockpit mech battle... I'm used to ripping things apart with my bare hands."

By this point, the white gecko was heavily flushed from the view Shannon had given him, his bleached cheeks were showing a clear red color to them. His throat was tight and he was perspiring slightly, but then, the situation turned rather comical as the snake's voice caused Shannon to snap back into what seemed like embarrassed decency.
Vergil chuckled a little, noting his captain's complete avoidance of the situation. But then... the snake came forward introducing himself as Logan Skyler. Captain Logan Skyler. So... we have two captains in this unit, Vergil thought to himself. He certainly seemed an imposing sight and really? He wanted to go at these creatures with his bare hands? Well... someone certainly had guts... but Vergil wondered if perhaps he knew what they'd be facing. Still... if he COULD withstand these creatures without a mech... that would be something to see.

Adrian smirked a little at Vergil's response, sidling closer and chuckling.
"Liking the view, I take it, hmm?"
He teased a little, as Shannon glanced back towards them, lifting her tail again...

(Not really sure how to introduce myself so I'll have Drake returning in a damaged Core)
Low on power, Drake was trying his best to get back with a heavily damaged core bodysuit, his oxygen starting to leak. "Not good." he commented to himself, noticing he wasn't far off from safety.

Vergil froze as Adrian asked him the subtle question. "View?" he said in an equally low voice. He stole a quick glance over his shoulder to see that Shannon was... well yep... still a view. He snapped his head back forward and smiled nervously. "Wh-what view?" he stammered.

As Drake's unit approached the base, a swarm of medical units rushed out, grabbing him and guiding him into the base, quickly stripping off the damaged armor and tending to his wounds...

Adrian chuckled a little, teasingly punching his arm.
"The view of my Alpha's fine, fine butt."
He teased...

Drake clenched his teeth as metal fragments were removed, blood leaking as it was soon cleaned

"Eheheheheh yes well..." Vergil smiled slightly here as Adrian teased him. "When one allegedly has not long to live... I guess one takes nothing for granted. Including such views as the one you mentioned." he stated, giving the smallest of nods.

(Ergh, sorry I wasn't able to make it on! :bang)
Rhodan's slitted eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Captain Logan Sky--? 'Captain'?" His lips curled in something like distaste. "Under what circumstances are you here, and why?"
His tail hit the ground again. He hadn't noticed what was going on with Shannon, his attention was fixated on the newcomer.
"Silence for just minute!" He said to his companions.

Adrian nodded, then grinned.
"True, true...but there's no way I'm gonna let you get killed. So you'll get to enjoy that view plenty more."
He said, then glanced up at Rhodan..

After managing to get patched up, Drake left the medical room

Rhodan sighed. "Could all please remain silent for just a--?" He gurgled to a halt as he turned his head, noticing Shannon. He whipped his head back around.
"Lieutenant McDonald," he cleared his throat. "Are expecting on going out like that?"

Shannon grinned slightly, wagging her tail.
"No, sir. Not unless you want me to, sir."
She said with a smile...

Rhodan frowned. He wasn't going to let himself be ensared THAT easy, even though yes, he could admit, Shannon was a rather attractive female.
He cleared his throat, annoyed at his inner monologue. "I doubt you'll want to be unclothed up there," he said, tersely. "Suit. Up."

Shannon smiled and nonchalantly stepped into her armor, sealing her skintight bodysuit around herself...
"Yes, sir."
She chuckled...

"Thank you," the captain replied. He turned back to suit up, completely forgetting about the ventilation visitor. That or he chose to forget. Rhodan's memory was like a steel trap.

Shannon grinned and pulled her suit tighter around her body, making sure that it clung to her curves, showing off everything again. She blushed a little, as her excitement could be clearly smelled by everyone in the room, but chose not to say anything...

As Drake walked down the hall, a younger clerical staff member joined him.
"Sir, what exactly happened to you out there?"
He asked softly...

"I'm not sure" Drake replied, running his hand through his hair "It kind of... just happened suddenly"

Vergil nodded at Adrian's words. "Thanks... I appreciate that. I'll be watching out for all of you as well." he said softly, watching the exchange between Rhodan and Shannon. By this point, everyone was pretty much all geared up and ready to go, with Vergil putting the last pieces of his Core on as he figured they'd be heading to their mechs soon.

Shannon grinned, pulling her helmet on and chuckling.
"Alright, let's go. Time to get this show on the road!"
She said eagerly...

Rhodan agreed. The whole suit thing was new to him, and he felt like an oversized mechanical toy that had just been wound up. He patted his saber's hilt as he turned to head out, waiting to bring up the rear as he had little to no idea where they were headed.
Fancy making the one with the least knowledge of this place be in charge of the whole bloody thing, he thought almost bitterly.

Shannon glanced back, tail high and flaunting her assets as she led the way to the class-2 Hunter suits.
"Alright, this should be a pretty easy run, so we shouldn't be gone too long."
She chuckled...

Drake wasn't sure what else he could do since the person that had just spoken to him had left. He decided he should go get something to eat.

Rhodan considered what Shannon had just said. Shouldn't be too long... he frowned. Why was he so concerned about the time the job got finished, anyway? He never did that before. He never questioned orders from those of higher rank and reputation, but he found himself doing it now.
He was a ground commander for heavens' sakes! The lizard shook his head. His metal suit fit snugly around his scaly body and at first he was rather reluctant to wear a visor, but found it didn't impair his vision or hearing in the slightest.
He paused for a moment, as if confused about which foot to step wiht. "Is this all? My entire squadron? Or, will there be more like Ventilator Voice back there?" He jabbed in digit in the vent's direction.

"It's probably it, for now, captain." Vergil stated, though he couldn't be one hundred percent positive. All the same, he was looking forward to this, as it meant getting back out in the field, putting in a good day's work, protecting some people, and going back to enjoying life after it was done.
As they reached the hanger, Vergil took a look at his mech. It was a Hunter type, or class II. A svelte but powerful looking black med with some red components on it, it was generally humanoid. It had thrusters on the back for either extended cruising or to gain limited altitude in combat if need be, which was mostly used to augment jumps. The thrusters resembled two long rifles on its backside, and two stabilizer fins spread out like small wings as well. Vergil had a blade loaded onto it as his customization, and the mech, dubbed Hiei by the gecko, was designed primarily for speed and agility, but could physically hold its own as well, while not being the most physically imposing of mechs.

Shannon smiled and walked over to her Hunter suit, grinning over at the others. Her suit was larger than most, mounting heavy armor and a large external thruster pack on it's back.
"Yeah, I think it's just us. Didn't sound like this was gonna be a big incursion, but we're still needed to contain it."
She chuckled...

Rhodan exhaled slowly as he flexed his fingers inside the kevlar-and-metal-jointed gloves. They felt strange, alien to him, about as out of place as his scaly hide would be in an all avian market. His tail, plated by iron sheaths provided by the siut, clanked on the floor as he flicked it absently. He wasn't sure he liked the skin-tight sensation the suit gave as it settled against his scales. It almost gave him a feeling of imprisonment.
Something else the suit provided, though Rhodan was almost disinclined to use, were two small handle-pistols, equipped to the wrist, but made for easy access. He stared pointedly down at the small weapons and his lip curled in something like disdain. He would most likely have to use them, he would do so acquiesce. but it didn't mean that he woudl like it.
This was going to be interesting.

Heading to the mess hall, Drake was glad it was still opened. Managing to get a fair serving of meat he took a seat at the table and began to eat.

Vergil rode the elevator up the gantry to his mech's cockpit, tapping his foot on the way up. Reaching upper levels of the gantry, Vergil strode forward and entered the control center, which was in the "head" of Hiei. Strapping himself in, Vergil closed the cockpit and began powering up the suit, the machine coming to life under him as the HUDs lit up and displayed brilliant greens and reds before his eyes. "Comm check." he said now, his helmet's microphone picking up his voice and broadcasting it to the other mechs. "Sergeant First Class Speicher reporting in with a comm check."

Shannon grinned, flicking a few of the switches, chuckling over the comms.
"Shannon here. 07-1, Unseen Howl, arming up and prepping for deployment."
She chuckled, as a wall panel opened up, revealing a massive plasma launcher, which her unit grabbed, slinging the weapon onto it's shoulder.
"Alright, good to go."
She said with a low murr. Adrian smirked, swinging himself into the cockpit of his unit, as a slender plate of armor slid into position on the back of his armor, his screen flaring to life.
"Adrian, Unit 07-2. Black Kyuubi. Comms online. Arming up, preparing to deploy."
He said, as two wall panels around it slid open, one revealing a long sword stored in it's scabbard, which was attached to a tertiary mechanical arm on the units back, while the other revealed a long, slender rifle, which Adrian grabbed and nodded.
"Set for launch. What about you, Captain?"

Rhodan grimaced behind his mask. After seeing what these devices could do, his paranoia about machines was started to act up. Something will go wrong, something will always go wrong, but he forced his head to perform a short, stiff sort of nod as he approached the panel.
"Ahem. Captain Rhodan checking in with the - er- comms." His ran his tongue over his dry lips, hoping that was the correct action.
With a sudden sort of hiss, three metal hydraulic arms deployed from the walls. Rhodan took a giant step back in total surprise. Knew it! They're out to murder us! His mind screamed.
His face flushed in embarrassment as he turned to Adrian and asked, throguh a clenched jaw. "How do I not get killed?"
(Rhodan adn machines don't mix well :()

Adrian chuckled a little.
"Well, for one, just relax a little. These things are safer than pretty much anything around. Also, looks like you'll be handling tac/com for this mission. So basically, just get to high ground and keep us supplied with info. Particularly if anything's behind us and intent on killing us."
He said with a laugh...

Rhodan's nostrils flared with the effort of his exasperated sigh. Not that he was frustrated at Adrian, but just how out of his league he felt. Would have been a whole lot more handy had they chosen someone who felt confident around machines.
He stepped cautiously forward and noticed the ammo belt loops the arms held out. He moved a little closer and the arms set to work. A nearby panel slid back revealing a sort of metal-plated vest outfitted with two, elegantly-long blade-like wings. Or at least, they could pass as wings.
Get to the high ground, not a problem, Rhodan mused as the vest was strapped around him. A blaster that must have weighed about a ton was dropped into his claws. He examined the weapon with a frown. Despite his preference for blades, guns in effect killed better - and faster. He clutched it tightly. "Ready," he reported through the comm. "If everyone is suited up, I suggest now is a god time to move out."

As the park became a warzone, a young Jaguar named Hania Enapay stormed away from the area in his E-Type, which he had spent years restoring. This destination was the military base as he wanted to sign up for the Titan program and help defend his home.
The E-Type's engine roared as he was finally approaching the base...

Hanua was not the only young jaguar trying to make a differennce. MushI crept down the jungle path, headed towards the camp, to inquire about signing up to hep out. her katana was sung across her back, it had saved her life on several occasions. the necklace around her neck glowed as she ran.

The E-Type's tires screeched as it pulled into the garage and parked. Hania quickly shut off the ignition and got out making haste to get inside.
Everyone's eyes turned to the Jaguar as he stormed through the doors.
"What's the rush, cat?" The man behind the desk asked.
"I wish to take part in the Titan Project." He replied.
"Now, boy. One just doesn't join the Titan Project overnight."
"Whatever it takes, I'll do it." Hania responded.

"All ready to go, captain!" Vergil chimed in. The wrists on the mech whirred as he spun them around, testing them out, and took a few steps forward. "Everything seems to be good to go! Shall we deploy, sir?" he asked, looking around him now and getting a feel for the mech. He'd used it a few times before this, but never in combat before... so time to see what it was truly capable of.

Rhodan flexed his claws, encased in the metal-jointed armor of the kevlar suit. He nodded to Vergil and cleared his throat. "Atten-TION!" He smartly clicked his heels together, and his tail smacked the ground.
Time for the pep-talk.

"Sir!" Vergil responded, bringing his mech to attention now, finding the movement not difficult to complete at all. He was starting to get a feel for the response time and controls, and that was a good thing if he was going to stay alive out there.

Shannon grinned, her suit snapping to attention, holding it's gun over its' shoulder.
"Yes sir!"
She giggled, as Adrian's suit snapped its rifle into a resting position.
"Sir."
He responded...

Rhodan raised a brow behind his visor. "Ahem, Adrian." he indicated the rifle.
"Soldiers, I don't believe I have to tell you about the immediate danger we face out there," he stayed rooted to the spot, resisting the urge to pace. A good captain faced his quadrant; an impatient one paced.
"It is vital that we maintain good communication and coverage of all areas, as well as exceptional teamwork." He paused. "There will be no time for mistakes."

Adrian chuckled, slinging his rifle to parade rest.
"Understood sir. I can assure you that I won't let you down. We've got this under control."
He said confidently. Shannon smiled inside her suit.
"We won't let you down, sir."
She giggled...

"You don't understand! I have to get out there now, people are dying! Now I may be a civilian but I am not leaving until I am accepted into Titan" Hania explained, firmly planting himself in the lobby.

"Understood, sir." Vergil replied with a nod. "I'll be happy to take point if you want. I'm fast, and have found speed is my greatest asset." the gecko explained now.

Rhodan considered. "Accepted, soldier." he said to Vergil.
His tail clanked against the floor - he must really find a quieter way of doing that, or stop doing it altogether.
He nodded curtly and motioned with his hand. "We'll be off, then." He said, to dismiss. "And good luck to us all."

Vergil nodded, and threw a salute, making Hiei perform the same salute as well. "Yes sir! Thank you, sir!" Vergil proceeded to lead the way, using the thrusters on the back of his mech to accelerate and "skim" over the surface, flying high enough above the roadways to avoid motorists, and weaving a path in between the buildings of the city.
Of all the things to be thinking of, Vergil found his mind wandering back to Shannon, though this partly caused him to get depressed over Alice and her engagement but... there were others out there.
There wasn't much time to think on that however, as Vergil's sensors suddenly picked up an incoming bogey swooping down from above him... yes, above. Vergil compensated by swinging his mech to the left and allowing the creature to zoom past at the last minute. Vergil fired a burst from the jets and brought Hiei's heel down hard upon the creature's back, sending it crashing into the park below. "We've made contact!" he exclaimed into his headset, landing on top of the creature now with all the force he could muster.

Bugger! Rhodan saw the huge creature as soon as Vergil made the report. He frowned, accelerating the speed of his own thrusters - he'd balked at such mechanical advancements, but quickly adapted. He clutched his saber as the speed picked up.
He was impressed with how quickly Vergil had reacted - it was an admirable quality.
"Adrian!" he barked into his comm - not really meaning to bark, but not meaning to whisper, either - "Circle back around and attack from the rear! Shannon! I want you with Vergil! I'll be in front!" He made for the head.

Shannon nodded grimly as Adrian's suit boosted off, darting around a building and out of view as her unit darted to cover Vergil's. As the unit hit the ground, she dropped low, aiming a burst from the massive Plasma cannon into the fallen foe, blowing a large portion of its head off as she scanned the area...

Vergil nodded at Shannon after she blasted the monster's head mostly out of existence. He then turned and picked up other readings closing in fast. "Seems we have multiple contacts." the gecko reported now, and readied his blade as an ear splitting screech sounded and several creatures came into view, falling from above as they'd apparently leaped into the area.
Vergil immediately rocketed into the air and headed straight for one, but then increased thrust in order to flip over the creature's girth and sliced into its backside as both began falling to the ground. The creature shrieked, but managed to land upright, and whirled around to face Hiei, Vergil planting himself firmly on the ground. It was time to go to work... and keep himself alive. The creature charged in and the "dance" began, with Vergil staying as nimble as possible in order to avoid taking a direct hit as they twisted about each other, both trying to land the decisive blow.

Rhodan hadn't allowed himself to gape at the sheer mass of these creatures - he had to be focused, no matter what his enemy's size - and he quickly adapted to the rather upsetting turn of events.
He noticed Vergil performing some sort of dervish spectacle with another creature and set his sights on that. he grasped his scimitar and with more determination than he had felt previously, he boosted himself upwards, blad outstretched. He aimed for the creature's back - not a vital point, but enough of a distraction for the real damage to be done. He felt the blade sink into the creature's body and then quick as that, backed off, motioning to Vergil as he did so.

Vergil saw Rhodan move in for a blow that caused the creature to give out a roar of pain, and he didn't need a second urging from his commander. Spinning about, Vergil slashed across the creature's throat, causing it to topple over backwards as he ended his movement with his feet firmly planted on the ground. "Thanks, captain!" he said now, giving Rhodan's suit a nod. "Certainly a bigger incursion we're dealing with, today."

As the creature Rhodan was fighting fell, another burst of plasma fire tore right over the two's units, incinerating another creature. Shannon's suit glanced around the area, lens flaring.
"Where's Adrian? I'm not picking him up on visual!"
She asked, worry evident in her voice...

Rhodan nodded quickly. "No trouble." He glanced upwards and frowned. "Certainly seems that way." Now why in the world had he thought today was going to be easy?
Picking up Shannon on his comm, Rhodan immediately rose on his thrusters and scanned the area. "Adrian, this is your Captain, do you copy?" he waited for a reply, his blade at the ready.

Adrian's comms crackled silent for a moment, then came alive.
"Yeah, I'm here. Got pinned down by an ambush, but I'm making progress. There's something you should be alerted to. One of the beings is currently assisting me in fending off it's kin. I'm not sure why yet. I'll keep in touch."
He said, as the sound of more gunfire came through the line...

Rhodan was surprised. He hesitantly switched his comm over to Shannon and Vergil's channels to report. "Adrian reports he is being aided by one of the creatures. This complicates matters," he dodged one such creature as it came barreling towards him, and swiped across its back with his blade, not missing a beat. "We will need to be extra watchful, now. Do you all copy?"

Adrian dodged around another burst of acid from one of the creatures that he was facing, leaning out and firing a single precise blast at it's head as his newfound ally dove down onto another, lifting it high into the air before slamming if down. Adrian quickly snapped a series of 3-D images of the creature, making sure to avoid any inappropriate angles before sending them to his squad mates.

Vergil received the 3D images, and frowned in thought. This was... interesting. "Captain!" he said now. "With your permission, I'll try to cut my way through to Adrian and try to lessen the pressure on him some. If you need me here though..." he said, slashing into another creature as he nimbly dodged it. "I'll stay." he concluded.

Rhodan received the images same time as Vergil approached. This was very interesting, indeed. One of these creatures was helping them? Rhodan shook his head briefly. He'd never before seen these creatures, but knew almost instantly they were a threat, yet one of them was aiding this small team...
He turned back to Vergil. "I'd like a second opinion over there. Report back to me when you've arrived and anything new you find." He motioned with his blade before thrusting it into an oncoming behemoth's head. The spray of blood - at least what he thought was blood - it certainly wasn't red, but it was thick and gloppy - spattered against his visor.

Shannon dodged around another creature's attack, slamming the butt of her launcher down into it's head hard, splattering it across the ground.
"Right. I'll cover you, then, sir."
She said, calmly focused...

"Yes sir!" Vergil replied, and moved up into the air with a great jump to get over these things and make his way to Adrian's position. There were some shorter buildings here, and he used the top of them to leap over the creatures and easily located Adrian from his vantage point high above the battle zone. Firing his thrusters, he moved Hiei down to Adrian's position, burying his sword into what he was fairly certain was an unfriendly creature moving to the same spot. He could see the "friendly", or whatever it was, fighting close to Adrian's mech.
"Here to assist, sir!" Vergil informed him, backing off from the monster he'd just slain. "Has that thing tried to communicate with you in any way?" he asked now.

Adrian's unit shook it's head.
"Nothing decisive, but she did land on my suit and indicate that she was going to help before taking down another one of these things."
He said, leaning around cover and snapping off another rifle shot before stowing the gun and drawing a long, thin katana-esque sword...

"I guess we just go from here, then." Vergil said, moving to avoid an oncoming attack. "Any suggestions on what we should do with it... or her... after we're done here?" he asked, grunting as he made a quick downward but powerful slash into his opponent.

"Anything to report?" Rhodan rasped into his comm, while performing the equivalent of a whirling dervish - a display made all the more deadly by the fact that he was using his blade - bringing down another creature. He was covered with the internal spray - clearly blood, but having no resemblance to the hemoglobin he knew.

Shannon ducked under another creature, slamming the barrel of her gun into it's chest before firing a single high-powered shot to vaporize it.
"Adrian, report in! What's your status?"
She said into her comms...

Adrian shrugged his suit's shoulders, parrying a creature's strike as the allied one gouged it's eyes.
"Don't know. But she'll come stay with me, that's for sure."
He said softly...

Vergil downed another one, slicing a smaller one cleanly in half. "I think we're just about in control of our sector here..." he radioed back. "How are you faring, sir? Shannon?" he asked, realizing he'd asked that last part about a second after he'd said it. Oh well... too late now. At least things seemed to be winding down.

"So far all's well, and according to your report, I'd say it's appropriate timing, Vergil." Rhodan replied, amused.
"Adrian, would it be possible to encourage your new friend this way?"

Vergil finished off the last monster he could see, and looked around. "Was it, sir?" Vergil asked, smiling to himself. "I think we're all clear over here! Making my way to your location now. Adrian, you good?" Vergil inquired as he swiveled in Adrian's direction.

Adrian nodded, chuckling a little.
"Yeah. I'm good. Minor damage, but nothing too terrible. I think we're done here."
He said with a laugh. Shannon laughed as well, her suit leaning on it's cannon.
"I'm fine, Vergil. Thanks for worrying."
She said, blushing a little inside her suit...

"Sure... no problem." Vergil nodded, still smiling. Soooo... today was his best friend's wedding... but would he go? He doubted it. His best friend was marrying the girl he'd admired for years, and there wasn't anything he could do about. Heck of a day for a wedding... what with a monster incursion and all. Vergil took point so that Adrian could focus on bringing the "friendly" forward. Now it was decision time... well... not decision time just yet, but something to think about for when they arrived back at base. Should he venture on asking Shannon out to forget his current woes? He weighed the pros and cons in his mind as he approached their captain's position now, activating the thrusters to bring him to the region more swiftly before he came to attention before Captain Rhodan. "Sir, eastern sector cleared of all hostiles!" he exclaimed.

Shannon smiled and chuckled as Adrian's suit hovered over to rejoin the squad. The creature he had partnered with perched on his suit's shoulder. He smirked, lowering the suit to the ground as he grinned...

They returned to base with the mission wrapped. The day had been won, and though Vergil wasn't sure what the rest of his plans would entail today, he knew they probably weren't going to include attending Alice's wedding.
Unstrapping himself from his mech, the lizard hopped down and headed for the locker room, removing his helmet as he did so. Well... it was still the afternoon... evening wasn't approaching just yet. He had some time. So what to do? Go for a drive? Go out to dinner? Maybe catch a movie? He wasn't sure what was playing, as he usually didn't keep up with it, but maybe he could find time to check that out in a bit.
Reaching his locker, the white gecko sighed a bit and began undressing, tugging his suit off. Well... he'd survived at least. Now he just had to get his mind off Alice and think about other things.

Shannon hopped down from her mech, nonchalantly stepping out of the mech and making her way towards the locker room as she stripped off her armor and began to disrobe, making her way towards Vergil with a grin.
"Hey there...you seem lonely~"
She said teasingly...

"Oh!" Vergil straightened up as he saw the well... mostly naked Shannon approaching him. He couldn't help but smile, his white face turning somewhat red as he quickly tried to dress himself. "Hello, Shannon. I don't know about lonely but... I just have something on my mind." he confessed. "See... the girl I've been in love with for... well a few years now... she's... basically marrying my best friend today." he explained, giving another sigh. "She invited me to the wedding but... I don't think I want to go."

Shannon grinned a little, tossing her bra aside and grinning at Vergil.
"Hmm...that really isn't fun at all... Would you like me to take your mind off things for you~?"
She murred teasingly...

Eric, meanwhile, was being debriefed and helping the creature from the other side of the portal explain her reasoning for assisting them to their commanding officer...

"Uhhh... well..." Vergil glanced down at the sight before him, rather unable to not notice it. "I suppose... if you have nothing else to do. I WAS considering asking you out." he stated, looking back up at her again.

Shannon smiled and blushed a little as she stripped the rest of the way down, idly kicking her panties aside with a small smirk.
"Hmmm~... Well, I think that sounds lovely~. But I had something in mind for the here and now, too~."
She purred seductively...

Vergil felt his throat tighten up a bit at the display. "Well... yes... perhaps it was a bit premature of me to try and dress so fast." he stated, eyes roving about her now as a slight smile spread across his features.

Shannon giggled a little and leaned in to kiss Virgil gently.
"Mmm... I certainly think that might be the case, handsome~"
She said, trailing a hand along his thigh...

He returned the brief little kiss, smile growing as she began to rub his thigh. "You think I'm handsome?" he asked, putting his arms about her now. "Well... provided we're alone." he ran his snout along her neck fur, inhaling and tugging on it a bit with his teeth.

Shannon grinned, casting a furtive glace around the locker room before grinning and coyly guiding Vergil to a bench.
"Well...we certainly seem like we are...but even if we aren't~...well, that's part of the fun, right~?"
She chuckled, trailing soft licks and kisses down Vergil's chest...

Vergil moved to the bench with Shannon, unable to suppress his smile. "Well yes... I guess it is." he said. "Hell I don't have long to live anyway with this job." he said, closing his eyes as she kissed and licked his smooth chest.

Shannon smiled up at him, blushing a little with a murr.
"Not a chance. I won't let anything bad happen to you~."
She purred, nuzzling down to his crotch with a deep inhale.
"Mmm...you smell good~"
She teased...

He patted her head now, smiling still. "Well I'm glad you approve. I don't... judge my own scent but... I'll take your word for it."

Shannon murred contentedly, nuzzling and placing soft kisses all over Vergil's crotch, her tail wagging eagerly...

Vergil entered the garage now, going over some things in his head. OK... what's done is done. He couldn't go back now. But he rather... liked it too. Approaching his Cord 812, Vergil opened the trunk, tossed his bag inside, and slapped it closed. Heading around the beautiful car to the driver's side, he got in, and started up the motor, relishing the sound as it came to life.
Taking out the slip of paper and briefly glancing over it again, he memorized the directions, and remembered something last minute. He got out, and lowered the car's top, pushing it away, and got back in as he selected first gear with the lever, and pressed the clutch to semi-automatically shift into gear. Getting his car rolling, Vergil passed the security gate and quickly accelerated, moving towards the highway now as the wind once more started to whip his feathers.

Shannon smiled and wrapped an arm around Adrian's shoulders as the two left the locker room.
"Mmm...been a long time since we've had a real team, hasn't it?"
She murred, her face flushed and still tinged with her blush. Adrian nodded, chuckling a little as the two made their way towards the garage.
"Yeah. Too long. Hope we still got the skills. Oh, and I put in a requisitions form for some new equipment for the suits. Universal Maintenance Project stuff, should make the team work a little smoother. Still...Wonder who was nice enough to give us a house?"
He mused, as the two mounted their vehicles. Shannon rode her usual bike, a sleek, low-slung motorcycle, while Adrian had a newer, experimental tri-wheeled cycle, painted in his customary black and red. The two nodded, gunning their engines and making their way towards the place that they would be living...

Vergil sped along the highway, going the legal limit as he drove around the city towards the new house. Who exactly was this benefactor? Why were they provided such sumptuous quarters? He figured he'd get the answer soon enough... but for now, once again, he wanted to enjoy the ride. His Cord sped along, taking the "slow" lane for the analog cars, but he was still going fast enough for him, fast enough to feel the wind in his face, a sensation he loved.

Adrian and Shannon dodged their way through traffic, making sure to follow all the rules of the road, as well as keeping to the speed limits. The two of them grinned at each other under their helmets, eager to see their new amenities...

Vergil took the proper exit which led more towards the seaside areas of the city. So... they were living out by the water? Vergil was fine with that. OK so... it was out here a ways... he had committed the address to memory, and began looking at these rather nice houses.
Taking a left-hand turn up a winding road, the Cord climbed the hills until Vergil slowed to gander at what looked like their new home. Yep... cliff-side, it had an absolutely fantastic view of the ocean, and was fairly modern, as well as large. Edging his Cord up to the gate, Vergil leaned out of the car for a retinal scan, which was apparently to lock in his biological signature as new co-owner of the house. Once the scan completed, the gate slid back, and Vergil drove into the large driveway, heading for the garage. He stopped before it however. It was a nice day, no need to put the top up, and he figured he'd leave his car out here for now until Adrian and Shannon arrived. Oh... he'd have to get his belongings from his apartment too. All his paintings were still back there after all... but he could do that tonight, or some other day.

Adrian and Shannon pullled up into their new home, both grinning wide at the new house they had been given, though both of them were still cautious as they entered their retinal scan patterns, driving their bikes into the garage and dismounting...

Vergil stood by his Cord, smiling at them. "Well... what do you think?" he asked, spreading his arms now. "It's... certainly big!" he exclaimed. "I haven't gone inside yet, though."

Adrian smiled and glanced around.
"Well, it's certainly a big place. Guess we must've done something right by someone, huh?"
He chuckled. Shannon smirked, wrapping her arms around the shoulders of both Adrian and Vergil, tail wagging eagerly.
"Mmm...can't wait to check it out inside. If the garage is this nice..."
She giggled...

"Let's go!" Vergil suggested, and moved to open the door to the interior with his tail (since he had his arms about Adrian and Shannon). Moving in, he smiled at the sight. Big, airy, open rooms, a staircase leading up, windows looking out on the picturesque view, and all fine paneling on the floor. "Huh... it's... well I'm officially impressed." Vergil finally said. "Who's our benefactor, Adrian?"

Adrian shook his head.
"They never told me who gave us this place. Suppose we ought to be careful, huh?"
He said softly, as Shannon smiled...

"Yes..." Vergil began walking towards the windows now. "Particularly since we don't GET these kind of perks without strings attached... usually... so we'll watch ourselves... for now." he said, turning back to them.

Shannon grinned as she looked out the window, tail wagging happily as she stared out at the ocean.
"This is amazing, though! I mean, this much space, and the views~!"
She gushed happily, as Adrian looked around.
"Huh. Looks like some of our stuff has already been brought here. Guess this was in the works for a while."
He mused quietly...

"It is indeed a nice place." Vergil smiled. "It's got great views, nice location... and we're away from the bustle of the city." He turned now at Adrian's comment, and thought about this for a moment. "I wonder if my paintings are here as well..." he thought aloud.
Looking around, he noticed stairs leading up and stairs leading down. "Guess the bedrooms are above and below." he commented. "You don't think all our stuff is there already... do you?"

Adrian shrugged as he made his way towards the stairs.
"Who knows? Maybe they selected us on the mission so they could move us in."
He chuckled, looking at the room layout...

Vergil nodded, and moved down the stairs, walking through a hall until he found a room. This one opened up right on to the pool... yes, they had a pool, as well. And yep... there were his paintings, including his newest one that was still a work in progress. "I don't believe it... " he murmured, shaking his head. "Hey! My stuff's all here!" he called out.

Adrian opened the door to his room, noting that his collected blades and other weapons were all set on neat racks around the room.
"Same here! Guess they gave Shannon the basement, so..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Shannon came running up the stairs grinning.
"My stuff's here too! Guess that's why we were sent out to take that incursion, huh?"
She giggled eagerly...

Vergil reappeared in the living room now, which had a very contemporary style fireplace in the middle of it. "Hmm... well I guess the change is one I could get use to." he said, rubbing his chin. "We have a pool out back, by the way." he informed them, hooking his thumb over his shoulder.

Adrian perked up immensely, grinning.
"No...freaking...way! Okay, so I think we may be the luckiest guys ever! I mean, full stop luckiest!"
He said, tail wagging eagerly as Shannon smiled happily, bouncing up and down excitedly like a kid...

"Heh... well since we're on downtime, I'm up for a swim." Vergil suggested, smiling now. "I haven't had one in ages... and it sounds like a good way to unwind after a day like today. Heh... though I suppose I already started that earlier." he winked in Shannon's direction now.

Adrian chuckled a little, then looked back at the staircase.
"Yeah...why not. You guys can go ahead, I've gotta go get my swimsuit on..."
He said quietly as Shannon opened the door and started stripping down...

Vergil glanced at Shannon before nodding quickly. "Erm, yes! I should get my bathing suit as well!" he said, his white cheeks turning a bit red as he moved to his room to change and get ready. He was quite surprised to see a fully stocked closet in his room, and a quick examination of the dresser drawers (which hissed when they opened) showed all his personal garments. Well this was just... bizarre. How had they gained access to his apartment? But then again... he was working for the government, so he figured they had access everywhere.
Slipping into a pair of swimming trunks, the gecko soon emerged from his room and walked to the poolside, stretching a bit as he went over the day's events in his mind.

Shannon grinned, pulling herself out of the water and hugging Vergil happily.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
She teased, rubbing his chest a little as Adrian came out of the house, slipping into the pool without a word...

Vergil was surprised by the hug, but he wasn't expecting her to pop out of the water, either. "Oh! Actually... yes... I was just thinking... of a time where I blacked out... and... lost control apparently. It was a somewhat disturbing time... but I can't remember it... I was just trying to think on what actually happened." he nodded here, hugging her back before sliding into the pool.

Shannon grinned a little, tracing her hand idly down Vergil's chest to the waistband of his swimsuit.
"Oh? Mmm...bet that was a fun time~"
She teased...

Vergil shook his head here, noticing where her claw was. "Well... no it wasn't... several people died, if I recall." he said now, gulping. "It was a dark time for me... but fortunately... hasn't happened since. I'm just trying to figure out WHY it occurred at all." he stated.

Shannon paused for a moment, then smiled gently and leaned in close to Vergil.
"Well...I dunno what happened in the past...but I'm glad you're here now..."
She said softly, before leaning in and kissing him deeply...

He closed his eyes and kissed her back, holding her close against him now, and finally breaking to come up for air. "Well... I just don't want it to happen again." he stated, smiling at her now. "That's my only concern."

Shannon smiled a little, slipping her hand into the waistband of his shorts as she smiled at him.
"Well...even if it does...Adrian and I will be here to stop you from doing anything too damaging."
She murred sweetly...

Vergil shuddered a little, a smile playing over his lips as he felt her hand down the inside of his swim trunks, his body already responding. "Well... I just hope so." he nodded here, his voice now heavy.

Shannon smiled and leaned in to kiss him, smirking as she stroked him slowly.
"I promise. Just trust us, okay?"
She said reassuringly...

"Mmmm." he moaned out, rather enjoying the slow stroking. "I'll try." he said, kissing her back, wrapping an arm about her now to hug her close to him.

Shannon grinned, continuing to tease Vergil as she murred softly.
"'M glad you're here..."
She said gently...

"So am I." Vergil smiled, rubbing against her teasing a little now, letting himself float a bit in the water whilst using his arms to keep himself afloat.

Shannon grinned, ducking her head under the water as she tugged Vergil's shorts down...

Vergil was surprised by this, his wide eyes getting wider, but then he smiled, and simply relaxed, letting her get his shorts down as far as she wanted.

Shannon grinned, working his shorts down to about his knees, nuzzling his crotch teasingly as she surfaced for air.
"Mmm...You look amazing..."
She purred...

He nuzzled her as she surfaced for breath. "Well... I think you have a lot to do with that." he winked at her now, splashing a bit playfully.

Shannon giggled a little, splashing Vergil back playfully as Adrian slipped out of the pool without a sound, making his way back into the house...
