I wish someone pumped my gas for me.
But as we say in Australia.

"DO IT YOUR BLOODY SELF."

Seriously..we actually say that in my area at least. Heck even cash registers are fading out in favour of self-checkouts.

No trained professionals pump our gas here in Aus, shockingly all the stations are yet to blow up.

If you can't pump gass, maybe you shouldn't be driving a car.
No offence Americans, but those whiny Oregon  people are the reason the rest of the world laughs at your country.

Pumping your own gas? Poor little Oregon, my heart like shatters for you. Don't break a nail now.

Oh just make sure you actually use the gas pump. The water or air pumps don't work in the same way.

I could draw them a diagram if they want.

Pardon my sarcasm. I am just bashing my head on my desk over grown adults not being able to do a simple task. How do they think other places without it being done for them manage? Pixie dust?

Since you have an interest in horses, do you own any? If so, what kind of horses?
I have four horses.

An Arabian, a Quarter Horse, and two Thoroughbreda who were former racehorses.

It's hard work and expensive to.take care of them all, but since I do Eventing competitively it will not ge fair to ask one horse to do every competition so I.rotate them. I take them on lots of trail rides when we not training for competition.

We will show you custom kitchens until you submit to my rule, then GoF will be under my power. Then when I control GoF I will use it to take over the world.

I'm gonna reply to you all at once, cause I am Nahla and I am lazy.

@Littlefoot fan 1990
Thank's mate. AU's are fun, hope you enjoy the story and getting to know the original characters.

@Ducky123
Aww thanks bro, yes I agree my writing has matured, sadly can't say the same for my mind. I changed Nahla to Shani as when I write Lion King stories, where there is Nala. It got really confusing for me. Only one letter difference in the names.

@Sovereign
The adults in the prologue  expect of the leader and Nani are pretty much just background. This won't be a good vs evil story, the adults were shocked well since their beliefs were being questioned. As for the troublemaker bit, I would say Shani is like the main characters trouble-wise. Causing mischief, a little pre-view thing is, the adults do later think it was just one of her little pranks to wind them up. Shani will stay where she is for a few chapters, theres a few characters I want to introduce to the readers first which play an important part.

I will be switching between Shani's POV and the Great Valley kids POV until I merge them. Thank you for giving it a chance, I understand what you mean with the adults, I'll take that into account for the future.

I can make you all a custom kitchen.

I can't promise it'll be functional, but it'll be pretty. Who needs functionally anyway?

Someone better make those biscuits or I'll be highly disappointed.

I made them.

I didn't die of food poisoning, but then again..results may vary..

Made you look  :angel

Umm..here is a recipe for "Custom Kitchen" Cornflake Biscuits.

INGREDIENTS
125g butter, at room temperature
100g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
1 egg
150g (1 cup) self-raising flour
45g (1/4 cup) sultanas
Pinch salt
60g (2 cups) cornflakes, crushed slightly.

METHOD
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

Step 2
Use electric beaters to beat the butter and sugar in a bowl until pale and creamy. Beat in the egg. Fold in the flour, sultanas and salt and mix until well combined.

Step 3
Place the cornflakes in a bowl. Spoon slightly heaped tablespoonfuls of the butter mixture into the cornflakes. Toss the mixture gently in the cornflakes to coat and form balls.

Step 4
Place the balls, 8cm apart to allow room for spreading, on the prepared tray. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden. Cool the biscuits for 10 minutes on the trays before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Hi,

So I am re-writing  Descendants of the Mountains cause I no longer enjoyed that version of the storyline.

This re-write is still AU but follows more movie canon which you'll see.

Nahla has been re-designed and is now named Shani as Shani means 'adventure or curious'. Nahla's sister been scrapped and you'll notice other major changes if you did read the original.

Anything I have a little prologue for you.

Summary
Fed up with being forced to blindly follow her ancestors way, a young longneck runs from the only home she has known. Upon finding the Great Valley she feels she has stumbled upon a whole new world. Quickly befriending local kids her age she puts her past life behind her. But when dreams of horror haunt one of her new friends she realises Littlefoot and her are the only hope.

Prologue

The night circle was full and shone down brightly to the land below, large shapes moved around muttering quietly to each other. Some stood to the side gazing at a large flat rock. Onto this rock another shape stepped, it's large body sent dust that had settled upon the surface to fly into the air.

The longneck gazed at the others, their eyes full of wisdom from all the years they had seen. Clearing their throat the great creature spoke "My friends, it is time for a speaking."

The other longnecks turned towards the one who had spoke and dipped their heads in respect, "Ancestors above us, watch over us night and light our paths." they spoke in unison.

A young female rose her head, and looked at the night sky tilting her head. Could her ancestors really be watching down on her? If they were, were they really as smart as everyone thought? After all they were just longnecks like her, it's not like dying made a dumb dinosaur suddenly wise.

"Shani, are you paying attention?"

The longneck turned to face the longneck that spoken, her mother gazed at her sternly. Shani dipped her head "Sorry, mother. I was just wondering about the ancestors, do they really guide us?"

The older longneck looked taken back for a moment before replying "Of course they do! Why would you ask such a thing?" by this point all the others gathered were looking at the mother and daughter.

The one upon the rock spoke "Nani is everything all right?" the elderly male said glancing down at the young child at the mother's side.

Nani dipped her head "Shani was just..wondering...about the ancestors." she replied giving her daughter a quick glare.

"Well if she paid attention..she would know. Now..in the tradition of our ancestors..." the elder male began.

Shani jumped to her feet "Why do we have to do everything in the name of our ancestors? They are just dead dinosaurs, not like it makes them smart or powerful it's the living that we should be honouring!"

Gasps echoed throughout the gathered dinosaurs, cries of "How could she?" "Children these days..no respect.." "She was always a troublemaker that Shani." came with shocked tones.

Nani bent her head in embarrassment from her daughters outburst, taking a deep breath she rose and faced the others "Forgive my daughter friends, she did not mean such disrespect she did just not think of what was coming from her mouth."

Lashing her tail Shani growled "No, I am not sorry. If these ancestors are real and so powerful, they can come and prove it. But until then I refuse to follow some dead guys like a lost hatchling just because they lived here once." turning tail she left the others behind ignoring the cries of dismay.

"SHANI!" Nani cried trying to give chase but losing her more agile daughter in the undergrowth.

"SHANI!"

LBT Fanfiction / Descendants Of The Mountains prologue challenge
« on: August 28, 2017, 01:39:58 AM »
I know the original poster as banned but I ask please do not take my OCs and the original setting of my fanfic, you're welcome to write something based off it but not outright steal my story that I worked hard on, even if you do give me credit it is disrespectful. The story is set in the LBT world which of course I do not own but it is my own universe and AU I created using canon LBT characters mixed in with OC's to create a new world.

I am aware I have not updated it in a long time, but it's still my story and does not mean it's free for all to take and use.  I do plan on re-writing it from the beginning with changes some OC's the original will remain up but will not be advanced further.

I only saw this post now as I'm in my final year of Uni now so busy, on top of getting my horses ready to show and taking care of all my pets.

Admins, if this does happen again, I do NOT give permission for my works and OCs to be used by others. Of course you can't do anything about it offsite but if it's published on here I ask you please remove it.

Sports / Is Equestrian a Sport?
« on: June 26, 2017, 06:30:46 AM »
What do you guys think about this?

I am an Equestrian and I do believe its a sport. However if you just ride a dead broke horse on a guided trail ride on a set path. Yeah not a sport then.

I compete in Eventing which is Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping spread across one to three days.

Both me and horses have to be in top condition to compete. I have to have the strength to guide a 1100 pound animal around a course and jump fences or perform a movement on cue. When done right it does look easy that's the goal to make it look effortless.

During competition season both me and horses are on a strict fitness program. I don't just climb on a horse and go jump a course no. That is not how it works.

But I guess if we can't consider Equestrian a sport we shouldn't consider motor racing one either. I mean all you do is drive a car.

Reason I'm bringing this up is as I read they were thinking of dropping Equestrian events from the Olympics since many think it's not a sport.

I wanna put all the people who think riding is easy and horses are just dumb animals on my 5 year old Arabian and see how long they stay on it.

Anyway what you think. Sport or no?

I believe it to be the most dangerous sport in the world.
I know someone who died when her horse stumbled and landed on her.

Also the fact my horses could kill me easily.
One kick to the head and that would all it'll take.

Hey all, I'm back. I been popping on making like one post then vanishing again for a while but I decided to come back properly this time.

I been busy, as a adult of society I must do adult things and adult which is kinda boring. Before you ask yes I am still doing my horse thing, I am never giving that up. I did fall off last week though, I was stiff for days afterwards.

I've been well, it's nearing Winter in Australia so getting prepared for that by stocking up on hay and getting my horses blankets ready.

It's my 21st Birthday next Wednesday but I'll be spending it alone..my friends have work or classes. My horses are my party guests. I'll be having a party on the weekend though, but my actual Birthday..it'll just be me my horses, dogs and cats.

This what happens when you don't have much human interaction.

Hope everyone is well.

The Fridge / RIP 'Lassie'
« on: February 04, 2017, 10:56:07 PM »
Once again life has came and slapped me across the face.

On the night of 1st of this month my elder dog Lassie took a sudden turn, she collapsed and was unable to stand again her back legs completely stopped working.

I had to hold her up just so she could drink, sadly my town doesn't have a 24 hour vet office so there was nothing I could do at the time.

I stayed up all night with her and knew she was in agony, she yelped and howled all through the night. It broke my heart seeing this.

Soon as the vets open in the morning I rushed her in only to have my heart broken. Lassie was dying and it wasn't going to be a peaceful death.

I opted to put her to sleep that morning, I was with her stroking her head as she took her final breaths.

It didn't fully hit me until I reached my car and it was then I broke down.

I am 20 now and got Lassie when I was 6. That is 14 years by my side and on that day I had to choose to end her life.

I get comfort in knowing I did the right thing for Lassie, I just miss her so much she was a member of my family, all my animals are part of my family for me losing Lassie was like losing my oldest child.

As I write this I'm  half expecting for her to poke her head around the corner. My other animals seem to know Lassie is gone.

R.I.P Lassie, you're not suffering anymore. Goodbye my friend.

Can I have something good happen to me...please..?

Role Play Discussion / Species stay the same
« on: January 21, 2017, 07:14:22 PM »
You did seem kinda bossy and that would of put many people off.

If you want to lead a RP you'll have to learn to listen to others input and ideas.

I may join, may if the plot gets explored more.

What kind of adventures?
What  obstacles will that face?
What is the point of the the changing?
Why were they the chosen ones?

Just having it 'oh they change and have adventures' isn't really putting out there very much. You want to draw people in.

Be patient, you're just turning people right now.

You'll have to let others help you, and not be so controlling. A RP leader only has control up to a point but they cannot control every single line otherwise you just have a bunch of people writing a fanfiction for you. Roleplay is about freedom.

Role Play Discussion / Species stay the same
« on: January 18, 2017, 10:52:00 PM »
Ok dude, not trying to be rude here but I been over this thread and just wanted to post my two cents.

Firstly you seem to be bit too controlling, roleplaying is meant to help express peoples storytelling from the view of their assigned character what happens to that character and their reactions is up to the person playing them to decicde.

Also you do realise sometimes it can be days, weeks or even months between posts? You can't expect for a week in the RP to be a week in real time. Some RPS I been in on other sites a day in the RP lasts a month in real time. Not because we are purposely making it slow but because members can't just sit and post all day.

You can't expect everything to go 100% your way, roleplaying is a group effort everyone adds to the story in their own way. You cannot decide what other peoples characters do.

If you really want this to go in a certain way, maybe you're better off writing a fanfiction then you can do whatever you want and not worry about others changing characters a bit.

Also 'A Sudden Change in Species' is way to close to 'A Sudden Change of Species' which would just get confusing. Maybe, "Through New Eyes"? Since they'll be seeing the world through the eyes of a different species.
