Title: Wingtails
Post by: Sky on March 18, 2008, 06:50:03 AM
I haven't posted any artworks here lately. :o
Though I posted new pics on dA.

So, I finally have a name for their species.
I thought "Wingtail" is a good name. They have wings... and their tailtip are always different from others (may add more characters).

Since it is not really LBT related, I'll post them here:

Nice artwork and the name seems to sound very LBTish.

Hello:
 Oh yeah, I like the name, and I remember watching those pics in your DeviantArt Gallery, it is awesome that you posted them in here too. Keep up the great work! :DD

I like your work as always Sky, but for once I may have a suggestion that might perhaps help to improve it. We haven't seen much of the legs of Sky in your comic or your other pictures so far. In your last two pictures, well done as they are, the legs of the characters seem to look a bit too straight for me. The characters don't have any visible knees and no thicker or thinner parts (thighs, calves, ankles etc.).
Looking at the arms of the female in the Wingtail Trio you can clearly recognize the different parts of her arms even though both arms are stretched out straightly. You can still see where the upper arms, forearm etc. begin and end. I think it might improve your work further if you took the same care about the legs of the characters.

Brilliant!

Absolutely love the name for the species and that first piece of artwork holds some power to my liking.

You seem to be a pro with the Photoshop work, and I should totally watch your art more often

I lift my mug of rootbeer in a toast to ye.

@Aves
I'm really honored. =)
I'm not a pro in Photoshop, just working with basic stuff (I think).

@Malte
Oh noes, you got me. ^^
Well, the truth is, I'm a really lazy artist. The reason why the legs can't be seen so much is that I want to...well, "avoid" more work.
Now that doesn't sound like a good artist, huh?
Sorry for disappointing you guys. -_-

But I'm trying to draw more fullbody pics (and better background).
So I hope the next picture I'm currently working on will be a blast.  :lol:

I don't believe Malte's disappointed.  I think he's just giving you tips, in this case a tip which would improve the structure of Wingtails' legs.  I would've likely mentioned it if he had not.

I'd like to see more of the Wingtails. :)

Every writer has their own style.  The only way to improve in the areas you want to improve in is to continue drawing and trying to improve.  Good luck.

Thanks. *hopes to improve* :^.^:

I don't want to post it on a new topic. May get a bit messy.
So I post the new picture in here:

I like the picture.  It looks like those 2 were very close and the third one feels left out.  Many folks can understand that feeling.

Very nice work! I envy you!  :P:

I think I like the bored looking black wing tail, he looks like a character I would be all sarcastic and such.  :DD
