I know that spike eats a lot more food than the others but the food they eat is not very fattening.  What do you think?

It's almost certainely Spike. Fattening or  not, he still eats a LOT more than the others.

Definitely, Spike. BTW, there should be a section for lbtlover to post too much forums. What do you say, Petrie?

Well, Littlefoot is older and larger than Spike, plus he will outweigh most of his friends combined when he is fully grown (if not for Chomper's return, he probably would outweigh all of them combined.)

I found this searching for a specific thread and I gotta say...

I think they're all the weight of foam or wood... they seem to float in water even though they're most likely pure muscle to survive XD

At present, Spike is probably the heaviest, but eventually, Littlefoot will outweigh almost all of them put together, and will probably need a more fitting name.

It's odd how Littlefoot is supposed to be the biggest, and that Littlefoot was, in fact, born earlier than Spike, but that the general consensus is that Spike weighs more. Of course, mass and dimensions are certainly no good indicators of weight, but still.... I guess it's like how kangaroo babies are born ridiculously small and then grow into their parent's image and size.

Spike eats more, so maybe he grows faster.

Spike is almost always seen eating, so naturally right now he would weight the most, however when Littlefoot is fully grown...well he won't be so little anymore, and again outweigh all his friends.

I think I recall Spike as a little stronger then Littlefoot, for now at least, so he may weight more.  It could be in the LBT universe that spiketails grow faster then longnecks, at first perhaps.  Eventually Littlefoot will be far larger, but maybe not at this time.

Did you realize how Spike's size multiplied in the first few seconds after his birth? I think that at the end of his hatching scene he ended up four or five times (possibly more) the size he must have had the moment of the hatching.

I noticed that.  I guessed they did that since Spike may not have been able to keep up with the large Littlefoot and Cera, and was to big to ride on one of their backs like Ducky and Petrie could do, so they sorta did a poof he's their size.  Though they should have come up with a better solution.  Maybe something like finding him sorta like Ducky found  Littlefoot, and they found Petrie.

In LBT 5, of the large dinos, Littlefoot got out of the crack in the log the easiest, Cera had some trouble, and Spike got stuck! :lol Littlefoot is probably currently the lightest of the three.

Weight does not determine if something floats or not.

Fully grown, Littlefoot.

As of right now, Spike.

No kidding.  A 400 pound dead man who was murdered was found floating in the water by sailors.  And 50 ton (100,000 pound) navy ships float on water.

that's why I think they must be made of foam or balsa, they're very buoyant, and muscle isn't so buoyant

not all wood is light, it's just more buoyant than muscle is

It is the ratio of weight and volume that determines whether or not anything will float or not. A cubic meter of wood or human weighs less than the cubic meter of water the wood or human would displace when put into water. Therefore the wood or the human would be floated to the surface. A cubic meter of Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, or Spike would weigh less than a cubic meter of water, but they certainly wouldn't be as light as foam or balsa or they would be incapable of doing a lot of things we've seen them doing in the sequels.
