This is my parent's house, and I'm on the wireless connection.  I'll do my own apartment later tonight with a wired connection.  My parents have the better package than me, so this ought to be faster.

As for Comcast...no go.  Time Warner has a monopoly on the area.  There is absolutely nothing else available where I live.

And again:

1.) never heard this before - 0  (it was "Cycle" by Yoko Kanno from Wolf's Rain OST 2 - definitely one I don't listen to)

2.) Mary Martin - "My Favorite Things" from the Sound of Music - 3

3.) Original Broadway Cast - "Morning Hymn and Alleluia" from the Sound of Music - 2 (officially called 'Preludium' on the broadway album, I gave the movie soundtrack title)

4.) Oh man, I recognize the music, but can't remember where its from!!!! - 0  (it was "There is a Better Place" by Harry Gregson-Williams from the Antz soundtrack)

5.) John Williams - "T-Rex Rescue and Finale" from Jurassic Park - 3

6.) Paul Williams - "Flying Dreams" from the Secret of NIMH - 3

7.) John Williams - "Incident at Isla Nublar" from Jurassic Park - 3

8.) sounds like something that would be in Ratatouille by Michael Giacchino - 2  (I was correct on composer and album, didn't get the cue - 'Losing Control' from the Cast and Crew Promotional Album)

9.) Hans Zimmer - "I Don't Think Now is the Right Time" from Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End - 1  (it was "Wheel of Fortune" from Dead Man's Chest)

10.) Andrew Lloyd Webber - "Overture" from the Phantom of the Opera - 3

20/30 = 67%

Going to try this game again. :)  Ran into the game on jwfan.com while browsing the forums, and decided to give it another shot.  I'm only putting in my movie soundtrack/score folder...there's a lot there.

1.) Michael Tavera - "Don't Have to Be Alone reprise underscore" from the LBT 9 promo score - 3

2.) Danny Elfman - "Victor's Piano Solo" from Corpse Bride - 3

3.) Smash Mouth - "All Star" from Shrek - 3

4.) Original Broadway Cast - "Endless Night" from Lion King - 3

5.) John Williams - "My Friend the Brachiosaurus" from Jurassic Park - 3

6.) totally clueless - 0  (it was "Meditation from Thais" by Joshua Bell on the Ladies in Lavender soundtrack)

7.) don't know the artist - "Want to Be Loved by You" from Spaceballs - 2  (artist was Ladyfire)

8.) sounds like a John Barry piece - 0  (epic fail; it was "Cry" by Ofra Haza on the Price of Egypt soundtrack) :slap

9.) Joe Hisaishi - "Adagio" from Princess Mononoke - 2 (technically was 'Adagio of Life and Death')

10.) Original Movie Cast - "We Got Annie" from Annie soundtrack - 3

My job is a special needs teacher, specifically with adolescents on the autism spectrum.

Any summer plans.....nothing finalized for sure.  I'd like to do a camping trip as soon as school lets out near the end of June, but nothing definite there.  My sisters and I have talked about going down to Walt Disney World in August, but we haven't been talking much about it.  I'd be the primary financier so soon we're going to have to make a decision.

Oh, and Pangaea, don't take it as something I'm mad about.  I'm not mad you asked.

Next questions please. :wave

A long long time ago on the GOF before we even moved to this board, I remember someone distinctly asking if Spike was mentally retarded / mentally chanllenged?  Spike clearly isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, so I tended to agree with his assessment.

The Fridge / Bad Baby Names
« on: May 10, 2011, 07:13:37 PM »
You know what I saw one time, while we're on the subject.  I think it was in the U.S. - some parents named their child Adolf Hitler and went through a fiasco trying to get a bakery to make a cake that said "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler".  What were those parents thinking?

Once a week....sometimes on my own at a laundromat for $6.75, sometimes at my parents, depending on my weekend schedule.

I don't recall if it was or not.  It wouldn't surprise me if this was true because An American Tail's song, "Somewhere Out There" did really well on the pop charts, and is even heard every now and then on 80s radio stations these days, some 25 years later.

I just can't help but be curious: we know that Serris posted the GOF's 200,000th post, and Nick22 posted the 300,000th, but do you (or anyone else) know who made the 100,000th post?
Nope, and I frankly don't give a rats bum who did. ;)  Those types of topics do not sit well with me.

Do you play any videogames?

Not really.  I have no game systems.  But realistically, I don't want to play games, and I don't have time to.  If you think teachers have nothing to do after 3pm guess again. :p  If I'm at my parents, I might put on the Wii for a bit, but not regularly.

My old Dell from 2002 is used by my aunt.  Its been upgraded multiple times of course, but still works.  No reason to dump computers that still can run XP and do what the user needs.
