Gamers Zone / Co-op or Competitive Multiplayer?
« on: May 30, 2012, 07:29:32 PM »
I am definitely 100% all for Co-op. There is really nothing better than going through a game killing baddies with your friends :smile I am actually one of the least competitive people you will ever meet, and I avoid all PvP-oriented games like the plague. Competition of any sorts is not something I enjoy, so I simply stay away from it.

Gamers Zone / Sony's New PlayStation Has Ads
« on: May 30, 2012, 07:21:23 PM »
Oh come on, there's no way they would ever do something like that. It's just completely ridiculous, and so far-fetched and stupid of an idea that I could never even imagine it actually happening. People wouldn't even want to play video games anymore at that point. I just refuse to believe that these companies could actually be that stupid...

More pokemon cards, and another computer for my room!

Silver Screen / Pokemon
« on: May 10, 2012, 09:52:31 AM »
I remember watching "mewtwo strikes back" as a kid and one other one I think, they were really awesome movies to me back then. I am not really interested in the series or the movies much anymore, but to this day I still absolutely love the handheld games they are bringing out for it.

Also I've just recently started collecting the cards again, and I really love the newer generations. I think that they really stepped up the design and artwork. I especially love the pokemon Ex cards, like charizard and mewtwo, since they draw them in 3D and make them seem to actually pop out of the card, which I think is really cool.

Announcements / Big Gang of Five Meeting?
« on: February 09, 2012, 10:34:20 AM »
I don't really think LBT has much to do with this meeting, it is really just about us as a community getting to see each other and hang out together in person for the first time. I personally would love to meet some members on here purely because the people I've talked to on here are just such awesome people.

And I know what you mean about social awkwardness, I have that pretty bad myself, but I don't think it would really bother me if I was around some members from the GoF. It would just be a completely different feeling than if I was around any other people I haven't met before, since in a way, I feel like we all sort of know each other, even if we've never really met or talked directly.

Wow I've never heard of this, I've actually been wondering why the heck firefox never had a 64-bit variant of their browser. This is really cool, I'll most likely be switching to this permanently if I don't notice any real problems with it. And the icon is just epic :p

Announcements / Big Gang of Five Meeting?
« on: January 30, 2012, 03:34:11 PM »
I'm all for an online conference with microphones, but the only problem with that is it can get pretty hectic with more than like 4 people talking, and if you're not familiar with everybody's voice, you'll have a hard time telling who's saying what :p

I'm not sure if I took them before or after midnight, but I never actually realized that I posted this on 9/11. That's pretty strange :p

The Fridge / Biggest Windows fail ever
« on: January 16, 2012, 05:06:47 PM »
The only way I actually learned about petabytes was in a class in my school where we learned about hard drives, file sectors, and all that, but it's such a ridiculous amount of data that we're nowhere near it yet. Imagine a long time down the road when we have games that are petabytes in size, it would be so advanced we would probably have an entire system similar to the Matrix

The Fridge / Biggest Windows fail ever
« on: January 16, 2012, 12:24:33 PM »
I was just retrieving files from an old harddrive that was having some problems when I came across this very strange yet hilarious glitch. Clearly something is messed up on some of the sectors of the harddrive causing Windows to think that the files are absurdly huge :p

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h110/Littlefoot_Fan/1.png

It's interesting to see that Windows actually has built-in support for petabytes (PB). A petabyte would be the equilivent of 1,000 terabytes, which in turn would equal 1,000,000 gigabytes! So Windows thinks that those files are 89,700 terabytes, or 89,700,000 gigabytes! Seeing how some of the largest harddrives are 4 terabytes at most (could be larger ones now, not sure) that's pretty absurd, and I found it highly amusing :p

Actually, although their time is very limited, there really isn't much excuse for slacking off on details like Bruton described. Take an anime like Bleach for example. They push full-length, 23 minute episodes out once a week, and the artwork and attention to detail in the characters and the environments continues to amaze me. And that's not even counting the ridiculous special effects in some episodes. The Land Before Time tv series is probably just on a much lower budget, hence less people to work on it, because if they really wanted to and had the money, they could easily make the episodes of movie quality.

Computer and Electronics / Wired or Wireless Mouse?
« on: January 13, 2012, 10:52:21 AM »
I've had my wireless mouse and keyboard for about 2 years now, with no problems. I only vouched for wireless because I wanted to eliminate as many wires as I could in the back of my computer (they're very annoying when you have to constantly pull it out to work on it). I've had the same batteries in these things for practically as long as I've owned them :p

Also, it's funny that you mention the whole dpi and photoshop thing, because I bought a laser mouse and I did notice it was considerably easier to move the lasso tool smoothly in photoshop. In my school they have optical mice that seem cheap, and I have a hard time keeping the cursor perfectly steady when working in photoshop. My mouse is only 1000 dpi, which is fine for me, but I bet if I got a much higher dpi mouse, I would probably notice it being even easier to be accurate with the lasso, as well as other tools in photoshop.

The Fridge / Ever been mad as hell at your younger siblings?
« on: January 12, 2012, 01:27:48 PM »
I have two older sisters and we really get along great. I hang out with one every night (because she stays up late with me), and I play a lot of different video games with the other. In fact, I've had more fun playing video games with my sister than I've had playing games with anyone else. But of course they're my older siblings, I've never had younger siblings so I couldn't really say.

The Fridge / Nervous Moments
« on: January 07, 2012, 03:54:36 PM »
When I was younger, I used to always get really nervous right when I had to leave to go school. Sometimes it was so bad I would break down and cry. I kinda had some weird problems as a kid, but I guess I'm OK now lol Other than that, can't really think of anything in particular that made me really nervous, save for giving speeches as I can't stand those.

And I am about to beat Halo 1 on Legendary (on the last mission), but I probably won't by midnight :p

General Land Before Time / Freaky creepy and disturbing---or just me?
« on: December 29, 2011, 10:01:55 PM »
I don't understand how anyone can find this song disturbing in the least. It is not like it is sung in a serious way, it is a very light-hearted, funny song that they sing because they think it is strange and funny how their friend happens to be a sharptooth. There is really nothing disturbing about it.
