Gamers Zone / Carmageddon 64 German version
« on: June 29, 2018, 05:56:29 PM »
Little Game fact/trivia that might be interesting here.
So there's this racing game called Carmageddon, being one of the most controversal games ever. To sum it up, the game's point is to cause gory havoc in an open world with crazy modified cars.
Naturally, the game has been censored in a few countries (and some outright banned it) Germany, for example, replaced the poor pedestrians with robots to make the game less controversal.
But that's not even the point. The game is later released to the Nintendo 64 console under the name Carmageddon 64. Censorship once again striked on it, only this time the German version replaced the pedestrians with.....wait for it......Dinosaurs. Yep yep yep.
Apperantly, somebody thought that killing fast biters, longnecks and threehorns are less violent than killing pedestrians.
And just imagine a sports car runing over a Triceratops (about the size of Topsy's) with relative ease. Just....why?

Here's a video of it:

(i even considered making a Live stream of the game because it's just so wrong and hilarious at the same time)

1988 Theatrical Release / Re: Tell Your Story About LBT
« on: June 29, 2018, 06:14:25 AM »
I was VERY young when i first saw the Land Before Time (the first one, to be precise). Before rewatching it a week ago i only had a very vague memory of what was the movie like. The only thing i remembered for sure are the gang of five (but mostly Cera and Spike for some reason) and the earthshake scene. Of course i stumbled open the famous "Littlefoot mother's death" scene once in a while, and despite being one of the most emotional scene i don't seem to remember it from my childhood.
And when i remember watching LBT back then was still the early days of DVDs and we had it on VHS. (which i'm willing to guess isn't even a legit, bought one)

One of my hobbies that i do the most is making pictures (and sometimes videos) of Public transport vehicles.
I have a wild obsession for buses, trains and all that (just as much as for LBT) since childhood and been photographing them for quite a few years now. If anyone is interested, here's my DeviantArt Gallery: https://www.deviantart.com/thekkkno2gallery

And i gotta ask if there is any vehicle fanatic here besides me? :)

The Welcome Center / Introducing myself
« on: June 28, 2018, 06:15:04 PM »
Hi everyone!

My name is Karcsi from Hungary. I'm totally new here, so i thought i might as well introduce myself. :)
About myself: I'm a 20 year old guy who loves playing games (and/or working) on my computer, photographing (mostly vehicles and such) and travelling everywhere. I also like making all kind of videos (also shortfilms and Stop-motion) and having long bycicle rides.
Now about how i got there:
While i'm never been an actual fan to the LBT series (until now at least), i always liked it. A week ago or so i had a blast to rewatch the first film after about 15 years, and i was speechless simply because i didn't remember it was that good! I just loved the movie from beginning to the end. Then i decided to watch all the sequels which i've never seen before (only some snippets from the TV), and while they obviously doesn't top the original, i still enjoyed watching them. (though i didn't saw 13 yet, the one people despise the most) Been into Land Before Time ever since.
And so here i am, a brand new LBT fan who just found out there's also a forum dedicated to the series. Pretty much enjoyed the content here so far :)

Cheers!
