My psychology one said this:
Children are more likely at risk if they've been arrested for an illegal activity.

I wonder if you can be arrested for a legal activity as well.

:( :( I wasn't thinking of it that seriously when I posted that.
Darn, you took all the fire out of my dry humor, Malte. :P:

Lol nice one Adam!
I once saw something in a geology textbook that said something along the lines of: Oldest rock is older.

There was this really silly one in my country which became a minor meme when one of our Social Studies textbooks incorrectly stated the definition of socioeconomic status. They were talking about stuff like "speaking formal English at home" or "regularly travel overseas" means that you are elitist and of high SES. That is very broad and kinda a "take that" to how you actually classify different people of society into their socioeconomic status.
It's almost like Mr. Threehorn was saying, "Threehorns are the best, you ain't one so you're lower than me" in real life. The whole thing was dumb and certainly worth a laugh.

I remember in the driver's handbooks here where I live, there was this one line:
If you see black ice on the road, be suspicious.
It didn't actually provide any tips or suggestions on how to deal with the black ice. It merely warned people to "be suspicious." Such an odd and vague way to describe it.
