Sy crossed quickly, eyeing the lava below them nervously.
"Last time I had to deal with that stuff, I lost the last two feet of my tail. I'd suggest we move along quickly, before something goes wrong."

"Right," said Sy, "Let's get going, shall we?"
The group set out.
"If we're lucky we'll reach the monolith by tomorrow evening. After that, the road gets a bit easier."

"You can call me Sy," he said, finally looking at Dante and flashing a frightening smile at him. "These little ones are Strafe, Snork, Reesk, Kaga, and Longtail.
"Now, tell me what a lone sharptooth is doing wandering around the plains?"

"You know sneaking around isn't the best way to introduce yourself," Sy said without looking in Dante's direction.
"However, since you attempted to do so before with the flyer, I'll let it pass. Let's start with your name."

(OOC: Whoops, heheh, I, uh, kind of lost the link to this site. I suppose a "sorry" isn't really enough. But, just in case, my deepest, sincerest apologies to everyone in the RP for keeping you all waiting.
By the way, Grievous, I'm really impressed with how you did Sy. Good job((no, seriously, great job!)).)

"Careful there, Snork," Sy warned. "Don't eat too much. Digestion uses up a lot of energy, something you'll need for the trip across the plain."
The old Sinensis grabbed a hand full of leaves and chewed them to get some water. He peered at the monolith in the distance.
"Looks like a few more days walk until we get to our starting point. Once we get there there will be more food."

I loved that show. A very original idea, with a lot of comedy mixed in.

Peter Cullen's portrayal of Optimus is iconic. He's got the voice that you'll never forget, and if you do, you'll remember it the moment you hear it again.

Crap. The gecko has tiny ridges lining the bottoms of its toes. These ridges are comprised of millions of tiny hairs. The hairs are so thin that they interact with the molecular structure of the surface they are on, enabling the gecko to walk on even a smooth surface like glass, upside down.

Name: Sy

Species: Dilophosaurus Sinensis

Age: 73

Gender: Male

Description: 10 ft tall, 27 ft long. He is green with red and pink splotches going down his back. His frill is heavily damaged, and in some places only tatters of skin.

Bio: Sy is old, older than most creatures in the Great Valley. His motives are not always clear, but he is fairly trustworthy. He is carnivorous, but mostly eats fish and small mammals instead of other dinosaurs. He lost his right eye long ago in a battle with his brother, whom he killed.
Despite his old age, Sy is not elderly or decrepit. He is very wise and crafty, as well as powerful.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay. I've been busy.)

"It's about two month's journey from here. Or, rather, from there."
He pointed out behind them to a huge pointed monolithic rock far in the distance.
"But we're not starting the journey until I reclaim a piece of luggage."

A short while later, they came upon Strafe's herd again. A couple of globs of venom drove off the Sharpteeth, and Sy began looking amongst the rocks.
"You're still covering your eyes, right, Strafe? Snork? I hope so. Sy wouldn't want to punish you."
The Sinensis peered around a rock and found Reesk crouching there.
"Hello, there, Mr. Reesk. You didn't think I was going to leave you here did you?"
He grinned.
"Come on. I've got some company."

Most of the closed RPs I've seen have been closed just because they were inactive. There was one where the creator of the RP said "Well, this RP is dead," and an admin replied "Here, I'll close it for you." I found that rather irritating.

"Pardon me, sir," Sy said gently to Snork's father. He stood up nose to nose with the swimmer, and let a drop of venom land on his toe.
"But you might want to think about how you're going to treat a person, 'cause you never know when they might be very, very, dangerous."
The venom ate through the swimmer's skin, dissolving muscle and cartilage, and stopping just before it reached bone.
"Ponder that while I escort your son to the Great Valley, eh?"
He ran off to join Snork and Strafe.

Fact. Tarantula Hawk Wasps will attack tarantulas, paralyze them, and place them in nests to be food for the wasp's larva. There are also other species of wasps that do so. Humans also collect poisonous spiders to study and keep as pets.
