I'm back! If only for a short time; I've sworn not to let the Internet consume me like it did in January & February. I might post occasionally, though.
Anyway, I'm an administrator on the Land Before Time Wiki (http://landbeforetime.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page), and we need a logo. It should read "Land Before Time Wiki", be Land Before Time themed, and be 150 by 150 pixels wide. I'm hopeless at this kind of thing, so could anyone else help me out?

Oops, missed that; I only skim-read I'm afraid.
It's a long story on the Wikipedia side of things. Basically I've been mistaken for a sock puppet. If you want I can forward the emails which have passed between me and the person who banned me and give an opinion.

150 x 150 isn't really that big for a forum header pic...not much bigger than our user avatars.

It's not a forum, it's a wiki; a Land Before Time-based version of Wikipedia. The logo I'm talking about will replace the Blue-City Wikia default logo in the upper-left hand corner. As you can see, that picture is about 150 pixels to a side.
If you'd like, I can check to see if that is the correct parameters, only not right now; the site (http://editthis.info/humor_team_meta/Main_Page) I got that information from isn't working for some reason.

I thought I was the only person on here who visited there and did stuff there, though I"ve been doing other stuff recently and not been there as much as I use to. That will change though.

Actually, I stumbled across the site a while ago, and it was in bad shape. The original founder, "Grand Moff Brian" had gone AWOL right after creating it, leaving behind an anarchy of Winnie the Pooh & Disney vandals versus a couple of anonymous IPs trying to protect the existing pages. Bad stuff. I contacted Wikia, the host site, and got promoted to head the wiki, which is where I am now.
So no, I didn't "start off the site," but I am currently in charge.

Actually, to be honest, you and Wilhlelmina Will have done more for that site than any other users, even myself (though that 78 IP gets a close third).

I'm not gonna lie. I've never seen a wiki that I liked the design of. I don't know what options they give you, but if you can you should edit as much as possible. Right now, the LBT wiki page looks like a documentary page. I mean, it would be nice to put a little spice in even the navigation bar. I understand if you can't modify it, but if you can you should focus on the design more. I'll design you a logo, but you have to get your page design together before I do that. I want the logo to actually match.

Actually, I'm not the guy to talk to about that. I'm not good at programming or anything. The current looks were designed by a user named Saphirestar, and most of the other stuff was done by a user named Wlhelmina Will. If you'd like to go to the LBT Wiki and talk to them about it (if you mke an account I'll even sysop you, just let me know who you are), and we'll see what we can do. Indeed, I don't like the brown that much either, id always thought of LAnd Before Time's theme color as green.

Green would fit better I think, since much of the great valley is green and 2 of the gang of 5 are mainly green. Maybe some who have the skills can do some examples of design ideas and have some members, or fellow admin, vote on it or something.

Yeah, I'd think a very light green, almost white would fit. I'll just design a logo for the current design and we'll see if it'll work for a new theme. If not, I can always change some stuff. First however I need to know what logo I'll be replacing. Is this the one? It's dimensions are far from 150X150. but it's the only one I see besides the rather large green image with the gang. Is that the one I'll be replacing or will it be this one?:

You got it. The reason the logo isn't 150X150 is because somebody changed the dimensions of the wiki, as of when this thread was made, the wiki looked pretty much like Wikipedia, which uses a 150X150 logo. I guess that parameter doesn't apply any more.
As for flash objects or anything of the sort, that is definitely out of my level. If you want to talk directly to Users Wilhelmina Will (http://landbeforetime.wikia.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Wilhelmina_Will&action=edit) & Saphirestar (http://landbeforetime.wikia.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Saphirestar&action=edit), they both have much more programming/coding skills than I do, since it was both of them that set up much of the "finishing touches" like the brown background, the logo, the non-Wikipedia layout...
If you want, I can let these two users know to expect you. If you follow my above links, just type your responses at the bottom of the text box and hit 'save page'
(EDIT: I just realized that since you have a Wikipedia user profile, you probably already know this. Please disregard the micro-management in the last sentence)
One thing, they might just want to stick with the logo they've already got, but if it coms to a vote I'll back you up, and Kor probably will too, meaning we'll get 'em 3 to 2.

Well, no I don't have a wiki account of any kind. I've been discussed there by god knows who, but I certainly don't have an account. I'll talk to them and see what they say. If they can't find a place to host a flash animation, then I suppose they'll reject the idea.

Huh. This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Landbeforetimelover) isn't you? The user even claims to be you, from the same IP address you're using on the LBT wiki. Or do you just mean that you don't use it much?

I've really just been messing around lately, but I've made this small flash application. It's nothing great, but I was just seeing about how to integrate it into the browser and it seems to work fine. It's currently hosted on my personal server, however I would recommend that the admin of LBT wiki wouldn't use my server to host the logo. It experiences 3.4% downtime, which is too much for professional use. Just use a hosting site like hotlinkfiles.com (http://hotlinkfiles.com) to host the swf file. Anyway, here's what I've got so far:

There's not much flexibility when the logo has to be so small. <_< I can only do so much. I was going to animate one of the characters as well. Perhaps all.
