Something campion ask.

No one knows me here but hey, I'm bored. Ask me about anything, personal or not personal. About movies, games, or anything like that.

What's your favorite movie and video game?
There was once a time when "The shining" was my favorite movie, but that's kinda changed. One of my all time favorite directors would have to be John woo, who made my number one favorite film "The Killer." It combined some of his best elements, and truly tore at my heartstrings. The first 10 minutes sets up the plot very well, and just the overall idea is dramatic. Watching The land before time again made me think about what can make an animated movie shine, but it hasn't trumped my love for The Killer. Bullet in the Head may have gotten unforgivingly cruel half way, and it was a good film as well, but that seemed big budget compared to The Killer. It sucks that so little people know about it.

As for my favorite game, Resident Evil 2 and Another world tie up. If push came to shove, Another world would have it. Both the game and it's creator (Eric Chahi) have inspired me in so many ways that it's not even funny.

I'm sorry I didn't see this yet!

So, my major pet peeves? Let me think... People who blast loud music in their cars. Why does it have TO BE SO LOUD!? Another one is when random people say that playing video games means you have no life. HOW STUPID!  :anger

How much of watership have you seen/read? ;)
Pessimist sees a dark tunnel. Optimist sees a light in the tunnel. Realist sees the light of coming train. And a driver sees three idiots standing on the track.

haha, oh youu

I have read every page of watership, analyzed them like crazy, read the "sequel" fully, watched all three of the seasons of the show completely, and probably seen the movie about 40 times. This also includes the making of's and whatnot. I have read just about every watership fanfic available on fan fiction.com, and have stumbled across the more "adult" creations of the material. The only thing I await now is the inevitable CG reboot, which I know will happen. It just will..

Which do you like better? The Watership Down movie or tv series?

The TV series, most definitely, it just has so much more to offer, but I will say that the movie got me into everything. However, when I finally got my hands on the book, I started to like the movie a little less, but it still has it's place for me.

Is the tv series a sequel to the movie or does it happen at the same time as a spinoff? Because several characters from the movie that died are in the show (like Gen. Woundwort and Blackavar for example), that was what confused me in the first episode.

The series is a complete take on the book itself and is in it's own universe. It even has some small hints of things from the second watership book, which I did catch on further inspection. Things like this and the actual references it does use from the first book are entirely missed from the absolutely bizarre fandom that watership has. Everyone just rips it apart for being a cartoon and making blackberry a female.

There's a second? I thought there was only a first book, then ten shorter books, Tales from Watership Down or something like that.

But I'd have to say I prefer the movie over the tv series so far, I've only seen the first episode and the two with the weasel, the second was rushed, how could six rabbits kill a weasel that big by jumping on it? :bang

Because, for one, the kill wasn't even on camera, and for two we're talking about bigwig, the mighty warrior who stopped woundwort and actually introduced fear into his soul. If you doubt him being able to kill a weasel, you don't even know who he is.

Bigwig is the original Campion, and a rabbit take on 007 and other spy fiction

Got me there. And I forgot to ask, was Campion killed in the movie? I saw a few rabbits that looked like him getting torn apart by the dog at the end.

Campion, I do not think, was killed in the movie. However, of note, is that most of the efrafa rabbits do look the same, apart from Chervil (if I remembered him correctly) Campion actually didn't have a vital part in the movie as the other captain's did, but still played as Woundwort's silent go-to

Do you have some favourite WD fanfics?

What do you mean by "adult material"? The type with much of blood or with rather... ekhem... sensual stuff?
