Ask Me / Ask Raga
« on: October 01, 2010, 10:43:57 PM »
Oh wow, I completely forgot this existed!  Terribly sorry for answer 6-9 months late!
Just to answer whats relevant right now:

@CT: If you asked me a week ago, I would have said never, project closed, I fail.  Ask me tonight and well....  ;)

@Ratlady: Hmmm, good question, I don't really associate myself with many "fandoms', especially since my interest in things tends to come and go (as my incredibly spotty appearances here the past year should indicate).  I do tend to get really into pokemon every couple months, mostly just the games though.  Don't read nearly as much as I used, in fact I think its been YEARS since I read a book for pleasure.  I don't know what happened, I used to be quite book worm.  I just think the enormous amount of forced reading (i HATE being forced to read something) I have had to do for school has kinda put me off to reading.  Although, when I was younger, I did go through a bit of a Guardians of Ga'Hool stage.  Saw they just came out with a movie, too scared to ever see it though.  I'm afraid it'll ruin the books like many movies do.

Had a few passing interests in Digimon, been watching some Naruto lately, pretty good.  I watched ALL of Deathnote in a short span of time last year, amazing show.

Happy Birthday Malte!  I'm glad I decided to pop on today, although my happy birthday wish now looks pretty boring compared to pangaea's work!

The Fridge / How bad does it hurt to have your adult teeth pull
« on: July 03, 2010, 12:26:43 AM »
Never had a tooth pulled, but my girlfriend had four of her wisdom teeth pulled a few months back.  I didn't see her pain first hand (it happened the day I had to return to college after my winter break) but from the sounds of it, it was not a pleasant experience.  On a lighter note the oxycodine they gave her provided a entertaining few days  :D

USA! USA! USA!  I'm not much into soccer (or futball, depending on where you are I suppose) but I can't resist good international competition.  I've been watching ever match I can.

Land Before Time RPG / A new world...Same old faces

Cera walked up to Longtail saying, "As much as I'd hate to admit it, their right Longtail.  Theres going to be a lot more to get through in the days ahead, and we need your strength or we might not make it."

Cera had stood there frozen, fighting between her rational side telling her to go back with the others and the strong urge to step in and simply kill the out of control flyer.  Luckily it looked as if Longtail had snapped himself out of his rage and neither option was necessary.  "Well now that we're done with that" the three horn said before turning to her oldest friend, "we need to get moving.  The longer we stay here..." she paused, shuddering at the loss they had just experienced "...the worse off we'll be".

Cera had looked away from Zaine when he had spoked to her, but as the Longneck took his last breath she regretted the sign of disrespect to her dying friend.  She took a step forward saying "You were incredibly brave, for a longneck" she chuckled at her own very tasteless joke, simply an attempt to push away the pain and reality of the situation. "I will always m-miss you old friend" she then said with a slight stammer.  She then whispered "I love you".

Ali walked up behind the others, remaining deathly quiet.

Tricia stayed a distance away from  the group, scared of what was occuring

Cera slowly walked over, she had been too slow to make it to the battle in time.  As she saw the scene in front of her she felt as if a boulder had slammed into her chest.  The realization that Zaine might  be dying was too much.  She simply stood there in shock.

Ali slowly woke up, wondering what all the commotion was about.

Cera looked up at Hunter, a little annoyed that she had been spotted so easily.  "What, and be awoken from a nice dream by you begging me to come save you're hide?" she said in a teasing way.  "I'll be fine, but go find out what Littlefoot is telling Zaine over there, he looks a bit anxious and that is never good".

"Very well then"  Cera said as she turned away.  She walked just far enough away to be out of sight before turning away from the cave.  The threehorn climbed up a small rock outcropping that would give her a view of the dinosaurs who wanted to sleep outside but more or less protect her from their view.  Somebody has to make sure they don't get eaten she thought to herself in classic Cera style.  She curled up in a ball, and looked out onto the horizon, noticing the first rays of sunlight starting to shine.  "Great, another sleepless night" the threehorn muttered.

Cera finally decided she had been left to her thoughts for long enough, it was time to get a little shuteye.  Before returning to the cave she quickly found Luna and Hunter.  "Hey guys, come back in and get some sleep, we have a lot more long days ahead of us" she called out to them before turning away.

The Fridge / Yet another earthquake
« on: March 05, 2010, 03:16:40 PM »
I understand that, but still, and now there has been yet ANOTHER large quake.  A 6.5 off of sumatra.  I realize its natural but I'm just pointing out that this is getting crazy now, I've never heard of 4 large quakes so closely timed with each other.

The Fridge / Yet another earthquake

First Haiti, then Chile, now take a jump across the Pacific to Taiwan.  Yes, yet another earthquake, this one a 6.4.  Luckily only minor injuries have been reported and there does not seem to be any serious damage.  Perhaps the Earth is sending us a little message?  Or maybe the whole 2012 end of the world thing is kicking off early?  Odds are its simply a coincidence, but still, three large earthquakes and we're only a sixth the way through the year, its rather strange.

The Fridge / So what can I do about it?
« on: March 02, 2010, 03:04:38 AM »
I know exactly what you mean Mumbling, a little secrete of mine is I hate being criticized in any way.  It always feels like a hit to the gut and when I post chapters to TEB I actually avoid reading any of the comments for about a day, since it takes about that long to work up the courage to do so.  Eventually I find the only thing I can do is to suck it up, read it, let the embarrassment and hurt pass, then work to make sure I don't have to experience that criticism again.  Its really all I can do.
