I thought they were annoying and goofy. They're like the Ewoks of LBT except the Ewoks actually had a purpose. I take it back. They're more like Jar Jar Binks.

Awwwww.....poor Jar Jar. :( Put him with the yellow bellies.  At least he didn't initiate a horrendously annoying song right in the middle of the movie and turn the characters we know and love into laughing lunatics. :p
the Yellowbelly Bounce song is awesomely epic. how could anyone NOT like it? :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtEH6n52auI for those that havent experienced the epic insanity of it :p

What THE??? Okay, I don¥t get it, really. LBTlover and Tyrannosaur:

I doesn¥t get it, really, I am confused. What are you talking about? Things like crashing every five minutes and all this stuff??? That¥s not true, at least not here. I don¥t know what you two got for computers, but... my dad got his vista laptopin the week when vista came out. And it runs perfect, without crashing and everything. I really don¥t see your problem.
hehe well, i cant speak for LBTLover. but when i say it crashes, i am slightly exaggerating about it :D. it doesnt crash EVERY 5 seconds, its just a way of saying that its an unstable OS :).

service pack 2 should fix alot of the current issues with it whenever they decide to release it.

XP will be supported till 2011? sweet. i read that Microsoft we're being pressured by consumers to not ditch XP shortly after Vista came out

can i bash Vista here? :D

lets see...

its slow, hogs system memory, crashes every 5 SECONDS!, spams you with "are you SURE you wanna do this?" "yes i do!" xD, terrible interface, terrible with resources, badly designed start menu, DirectX 10 is NOT needed xD. oh and get this, i reada rumor online that Vista is actually a secret beta project of Windows 7.

imagine that, that the worst OS Microsoft have ever put out is actually a BETA version of an OS that is gonna be released in like a year or two. wow, if its true, i applaud Microsoft for disguising Vista as a beta and making it mainstream in all retail PCs right now.

a good hint of this is when you start up Vista, theres no logo during the "loading" screen. ever wondered why that is? i wondered about it the first time i saw the Vista load screen.

yes, i hate Vista with a passion. i once declared to some people that i will die before i WILLINGLY use Vista, and i stand by my word :D. worst OS ever.

thanks Microsoft :)

i dont care if Microsoft stop supporting Windows XP. it is the BEST OS they have ever put out, and i wont change from XP until Windows 7 is released and maybe 1-2 years after that. GO XP!

sorry for reviving this post if it was declared dead. it just HAD to be said though.

Computer and Electronics / Seems HP is the way to go
« on: October 09, 2008, 01:41:18 AM »
5 reasons why i would not buy that PC; ranked from worst to can live with:

1: Windows Vista
2: 64 bit OS
3: integrated chips = bleh
4: too much RAM for the average user, even for Vista
5: included software is a memory hogger and normally you can do without it.

for the average person who knows nothing about PCs, i wont deny that it is a great buy. however, if you know a little about PCs and have experience with building them, you could build better for the same price :).

peace.

also, cus im bored xD, i decided to test my claim and see if i could actually do that lol.

heres what i came up with, specs wise:

Windows Vista 32 bit basic edition OEM
Gigabyte motherboard for the AMD chipsets with maximum memory of 16GB. AMD 770 northbridge
AMD Athlon 64 X2 running at 3GHZ
4GB OCZ PC-6400 RAM
nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB
OCZ Game Xstream 600W PSU
500GB Western Digital SATA HDD, OEM

case is nothing special, just a standard thing to house it all.

DVD rewriter drive also. all that for about 600 bucks after claiming all the mail-in rebates. took about 5 minutes to assemble that lol.

sorry, but im overly critical about off the shelf computers. i have no problem with laptops, but as i work in retail selling computers, theres always this thought in the back of my mind that the customers could get so much better for the money if only they knew how to build them, and from my experience, if you even mention something that could potentially be technical; a CPU or explaining RAM frequency, they look at you as if you have grown another head. if they only knew, they would save themselves a world of cash...

happiness to all :)

LBT Fanfiction / My fanfic
« on: October 06, 2008, 05:20:48 AM »
looks interesting, keep it going :).

to comment on it, i'd just say that when explaining whats going on, try to use a bit more detail in describing whats happening during the event, it makes a world of difference :).

peace

« on: September 24, 2008, 03:17:33 AM »
having not seen either of those movies, i cant comment on that :). fromwhat ive seen with other LBT fanfics though, yours is excellent. you try to stay wihin the boundries of the LBT universe, and give a realistic feel as to what war in the LBT world would be like, imo. the story is believable, the characters have depth,  everything is very detailed. keep it up mate :). cant wait for chapter 12!

Sports / Martial Arts
« on: August 23, 2008, 02:33:27 AM »
i took Taekwondo for 4 years in England. i got my 1st Degree black belt in december 06. i took my 2nd degree the following year, but failed it as a result of my teacher concentrating on his "elite" players for competition and stuff. never mind :). since coming to the States, i havent really gotten back into it yet. even though its the same art, alot of the stuff is very different.

eventually i wanna open up a school and start to teach. i love doing Taekwondo. even though i am currently not doing it, it is still a part of my life.

Computer and Electronics / Minimum Computer
« on: July 09, 2008, 03:00:01 AM »
the minimum i could probably live with is the following:

2GHZ P4

1GB DDR RAM

AGP (at least) motherboard

80GB HDD

128MB GPU

Windows XP Home Edition SP2

2MB broadband connection.

just about the only thing i do on my PC that requires any sort of power is play World of Warcraft. so as long as a computer can do that for me, im pretty much sorted :). my ideal computer would obviously be way more powerful than this. but this is just a minimum, after all :D.

Quote
I'd say that people who don't want to do anything but surf the web and email, they need about this much minimum:

1ghz processor (P3 or P4)

512mb ram

20gb hard drive

XP Pro

for web surfing and email only, even this is overkill :D.

i used to have a laptop that had a 600MHZ P3, 64 MB RAM, Windows XP Professional SP2, 4. yes 4 (four) GB HDD and it was awesome :D

The Fridge / What makes topics die?
« on: June 29, 2008, 03:06:32 AM »
i think Grievous has it spot on. people generally lose interest in some topics after awhile, if it has been around for a long time and been discussed in depth.

The Fridge / Your sig
« on: June 29, 2008, 03:01:31 AM »
no big story behind my sig. i actually made it quite awhile ago for my WoW guild forum. Its the sharptooth from the first LBT with my name in the lower right corner :).

main motivation is, apart from my LBT obsession, is i love tyrannosaurs (hence my name :) ) so it all kinda fits lol.

im thinking of making another but cant really decide on how to go about it

Gamers Zone / Saddest Game Moments?
« on: June 12, 2008, 03:04:32 AM »
I rarely cry to video games, probably as they arent as deep as movies (which i cry often on :D).

this one time, though.

SPOILERS    SPOILERS    SPOILERS
SPOILERS    SPOILERS    SPOILERS
SPOILERS    SPOILERS    SPOILERS
SPOILERS    SPOILERS    SPOILERS

at the end of Sonic Adventure DX. E102-Gamma's ending.

most of the campaign is spent destroying the other E robots, and one of those fluffy things comes out of it, as they often do in sonic games.

so you go through it, destroying these robots, and after you beat the final boss, theres a cinematic which shows that there is also a fluffy thing inside E102-Gamma, which its family is waiting for.

E102-Gamma sacrifices himself after a short life of hardship and having to destroy his other "brother" robots. i found it very sad :(.

sorry if reviving threads isnt allowed here. i checked all the rules and found nothing saying it cant be done. i just felt compelled to reply to this one though. :)

1988 Theatrical Release / what do you think makes lbt so special
« on: June 08, 2008, 02:18:30 PM »
for me, it would have to be because i grew up with the movies. the first one i can remember watching when i was about 3 years old. and because of that, the series will always be special to me above all else :).

i dont care if people criticise me for it with all the "grow up" and "its for kids" stuff. its important to me, and thats all that matters :)
