Any other fans of Doctor Who out there? Any parts, the old series, the new series, the spinoffs, the expanded universe stories...

But anywho, just finished watchin the newest episode. Not badly done, I did like that guy Craig; he was a fun character, though I'm glad he didn't become the new companion.

But the preview... hoo boy, the next episode is gonna be spectacular!! Starting to look like this may be the end for out intrepid Doctor!

The Written Word / My Friendship is Magic fanfics
« on: September 17, 2011, 05:52:56 AM »
Well, as final confirmation of my Brony status, I've actually written a few of my own fanfics. Reviews would be much appreciated:

(QUICK WARNING: With my interests and suchlike, you can always expect my fics to be at least a little grimdark.)

1. The Statement of Twilight Sparkle. My very first ponyfic, and I daresay, I'm rather proud of it. Dunno why, but FiM/Lovecraft crossovers are pretty rare it seems...

Alternate fanfiction.net link

2. Ever Watching (unfinished). My latest fic, that I hope will grow to become my opus. Plagued by mysterious sounds and visits in the night, Twilight decides to figure out what is going on and catch them in the act.
But given the nature of her prowler, she'll wish she hadn't.

3 chapters in at the moment, with more to follow. (WARNING: This may or may not delve into OC territory at some point)

Anyways, feel free to give them a read, and as I said before, I'd be very grateful for reviews and comments.

Silver Screen / The Brave Little Toaster
« on: July 17, 2011, 03:30:10 PM »
Anyone else remember this underrated classic?

Turns out it has quite a bit of history to it:

John Lasseter was originally working on the film, and did the storyboards. It could potentialy have become the first feature animated film to incorporate CGI backgrounds. But the execs (Namely Disney), told him that there was no point, unless it would make production faster or cheaper, and thus Lasseter was let go. Of course, it was this that began Lasseter on his journey that resulted in the formation of probably the most successful film studio of all time, PIXAR, which at the time was a division of Lucasfilm.

But its story did not end here. After it was finally finished (By Hyperion and Wang Film Production; Disney actually had very little say in production, only distributing the film), it debuted at Sundance film festival, to critical acclaim and was due to go into a theatrical run. But then Disney bought the film for their new Disney Channel (and this was during Disney's low-point in the 80s), thus ruining any chance for the film to qualify for any serious film awards, which it otherwise almost certainly would have recieved. It staggered its way through the festival circuit, trying anf failing to find a distributor, until it finally reached a mainstream audience on VHS. Since then, it's become a cult classic.

However its troubles still haven't ended. It still suffers from a comtemptible cover, which hide any indication of the darkness and creepiness of the real thing (For instance, no mention of the horror-film-themed repair shop, the silent-killer-car-crusher, or *shudders* the clown.)

But still, it's an animation classic, and is remarkably well done for a relatively low budget film. It's a strange idea given a brilliant twist, worthy of being a Don Bluth film. It's sure dark and weird enough!

Silver Screen / Upcoming Films
« on: July 14, 2011, 04:04:10 PM »
Got any upcoming films you're excited about? Come in here to talk about them!

I got a few, such as:

The Hobbit (2013?). I've heard about a film adaptation of The Hobbit ever since Return of the King came out. The story is awesome to begin with, so I was really excited. For one thing, we'll finally get a proper dragon in the LOTR series (as opposed to a firework one, or a fell-beast)! And with Jackson directing again, we can't go wrong. As long as it's better than the Rankin Bass version, it'll be great.

The Invisible Man (2012). I just heard about this one today, and I'm already stoked for it. I looked at the original story of it, and it was a pretty cool read, so to see a modern make of it should be pretty awesome. All the more awesome, because it's got the screenwriter for the new Batman Movies in on it, as well as David "Dr Who" Tennant playing the Invisible Man! Now that's gonna be awesome, because as any Dr Who fan will know, that guy can SERIOUSLY act!

Godzilla (2012). Hearing about this nearly made me crap myself. I've been a huge fan of Godzilla for quite a long time (though I hated the Roland Emmerich 1998 film, which basically removed all of Godzilla's iconic traits), and I've watched them when I could, either on the net, or importing the DVDs. So the thought of an American-produced No doubt it'll be CGI, as opposed to guy-in-rubber-suit, but as long as they keep the iconic look and traits of Godzilla, I'll be plenty satisfied. It also has the new Batman movies' screenwrriter on board, the director has done some good films before (and unlike Emmerich, has actually SEEN a Godzilla movie before), and one of the producers is an ex-Godzilla-director. So, we're in good hands.

Who else has some?

Character Discussion / Songs that fit the characters
« on: June 23, 2011, 02:51:57 PM »
This was something I touched on while on my way to work today. I was listening to a bunch of songs on my ipod, and I started thinking, what songs that I know would describe each character in LBT? That aren't related to LBT already?

Here are the ones I got so far:

Spike- What a Wonderful World, by Louis Armstrong. This is for 2 big reasons. First of all, the lyrics of the song basically reflect Spike's worldview, where everything is pleasant and pretty, days are relaxed, and life is generally good. The other reason is a bit more obvious: Spike sounds just like Louis Armstrong.

Littlefoot- Who Says You Can't Go Home, by Bon Jovi. This is another favourite of mine, and it reflects a real mood for adventure and travel, going off on great journeys. But it also muses on how no matter where the vocalist ends up, his home is always the same. Here are a few lyrics that really matched his personality:

"Every step I take,
I know that I'm not alone
You take the home from the boy,
but not the boy from his home."

"Who says you can't go home?
There's only one place where they call me one of their own,
Just a hometown boy, born a rolling stone."

Cera- Strange Things, by Randy Newman. This song is basically about a secure and confident protagonist becoming challenged by a flashy newcomer (Part of the soundtrack for Toy Story). It basically reflects her feelings towards any newcomer, be it Mo, Ali or Tricia. She always becomes jealous and insecure when someone new steals the spotlight from her.

General Land Before Time / Odd ideas about the film
« on: June 14, 2011, 01:11:46 PM »
Being a huge fan of this film, and always being eager to hear what people think about the first LBT movie, I've heard some pretty odd thoughts in discussion. Here are the choicest:

1. It's all a reference to the Divine Comedy. One person claimed that different parts of the story all alluded towards different parts of the Divine Comedy. We get Littlefoot and his friends being separated from their families (death), traveling through the post "earth-shake" wasteland (Purgatory), passing through "the Mountains That Burn" (Inferno), defeating The Sharptooth (Lucifer), before finally being allowed to enter the Great Valley (the Kingdom of Heaven).

As one TVTroper said:
"...dude, you blew my mind."

But then again, this is the basic formula for the dark family film with the happy ending: The protagonist undergoing some sort of loss or separation, travelling through a crapsack world that slowly gets worse and worse as they go, then undergoing some big final confrontation, and only then getting their happy ending, sometimes only after having given up on life altogether.

2. They actually all die at the ending. I've heard this one going around alot. It claims that Littlefoot and his friends did defeat Sharptooth, but died in the process. The scene of Littlefoot and his Mother's spirit was his "passing over", with her leading him to the Great Valley, or the afterlife.

And a little misinterpretation, and possibly simply memory-decay: For some reason, I always used to think the death scene with Mama-longneck happened in some sort of cave, and perhaps underwater. I have no idea why, I just used to think that... But then again, I also used to remember Strut as a female for some reason... :oops

Anyone else got any others? Either something you used to think, still think, or heard from another person?

The Fridge / "Y'see, I've beeen having these sleep-stories..."
« on: May 07, 2011, 05:20:45 AM »
Anyone here recently had a particularly odd or vivid or scary dream? Post them here! I'll get the ball rolling:

Last night, I had another of my dreams where I remember 3 scenarios that are apparently irrelevant.

Scenario 1: Some sort of fancy hotel. Everything is some sort of pastelle green colour. I was in the dining room, where there were several tables laid for breakfast or something. I think it may have been a dockside hotel in some coastal resort.

Scenario 2: No idea where this came from, a Land Before Time song. It was like, the characters doing a song that doesn't exist, in a movie that never happened. I just remember that it was apparently an extremely sad song, becase Petrie and Ducky were crying, and the one lyric I remember is Ducky's line of "...Hands filled with tears...". I also remember that Mama Longneck played some part in it all too, appearing at the end. I think her lines were something to do with Littlefoot forgetting her or something... Man, I really wish I could remember how it went, because it was amazing. I'm so creative when I'm unconscious!

Scenario 3: Some sort of wasteland, where a charcter was wandering about, helping lone people. He comes across one person covered with tiny dormant spiders, who are apparently waiting to devour him. Th chaacter picks him up to comfort him, and the man smiles at him and says something I can't remember. Then he loos in the distance with shokand fear, and we see that the swarms of spiders are some sort of first wave of a hug biomechanical army, complete with 6-legged walkers, planes, humanoid soldiers, etc (I distinctly remember one shot of a soldier gesturing to a walker, which crouches down b him. The soldier aparently wips smething offthe "eye" of the walker, and gives it a thumbs-up). Then the character looks down at the mand and he's just a skeleton, and the spiders are all scuttling off of him. There was also something about babies faling from the sky too, but I was almost awake by then, so it's hard to remember.

Man, I wish I could figure out what this means!

The Party Room / Dumb sounding words
« on: April 26, 2011, 03:28:32 PM »
Just a little trick to try to get a little laugh out of everyday:

Take any word, say it 10 times in a row, and see how stupid it sounds the more you say it.

So far the words that I know of this type are "Spoon", "Door" and "Punk". Just try saying any one of these 10 times with a straight face.

Got any other words?

As some of you may have known, I have recently become enraptured ith an autonomous little robot named Pleo.
Well, he finally arrived today. And I dare say, he was well worth the money and the wait! He's absolutely adorable!

He hatched in my dad's study, and he's been waddling around exploring the kitchen all afternoon. He even took a little nap on my lap a moment ago!

Here are some pics I got so far. More pics and possibly vids sure to follow!

I noticed that, from what I can tell, the forum doesn't seem to have a general place to discuss the songs of the series. So, here it is: just a general place to talk about the songs. Talk about your favourite and least favourite songs, odd little bits of trivia about them, goofs and glitches, debates about the songs, etc etc.

To start it off, I'll give my two proverbial cents on the songs, movie by movie (remember, personal opinion here. If you disgree, open up a debate, but respect opinions.):

Great Valley Adventure: Personally, I thought the songs were one of the weaker points of this film. They just seemed a bit tacked on sometimes. Granted, Eggs was a good number that I enjoy, but the other 2 songs were a bit weak. It seemed like they hadn't quite figured out how they want the songs to sound. But I wil say that the reprise of Peaceful Valley at the end was pretty nice. I dunno why, it just seemed nice...

Time Of The great Giving: These songs were probably the crowning glory of the film. Kids Like Us was a bit average, but the other 2 were great. I've always been a fan of big-band jazz and 80s rock, so I loved them automatically. They had a unique sound, and worked in the context. If only the animation of the song sequences was just as good.

Journey to the Mists: The songs here weren't too bad. They kinda sounded like they were out of some sort of broadway musical (I think it was the fact that they were all orchestral, but not all ballads); I could totally see Who Needs You being done onstage!
They didn't particularly stand out among the other songs of the series, but they held up an otherwise mediocre film. My only real compaint is Ali's singing voice in It Takes All Sorts. It kinda wrecked an otherwise awesome song.

Mysterious Island: The first two songs were pretty impressive; Big Water was a great little number (unfortunately dragged down by abysmal lip-syncing) and Always There was almost tear-jerking, especially when Littlefoot actually refers to his mother for the first time in the sequels. But Friends For Dinner was a bit of a dissappointment. The lyrics were pretty fun, but it seemed like it was being sung way too slow, especially at the titular lines ("Friends, for din-ner!"). Not to mention that, ontop of being unable to act, Chomper was unable to sing too.

Secret of Saurus Rock: For the first time, I could easily listen to every single song in this film. Legend of The Lone Dinosaur had a cheesy appeal to it (to the pointwhere I could see some comedy country band convering it), Bad Luck was good fun (if slightly pointless), and On Your Own was very well done. I liked how it was written as a monologue, and a transformation. I alway like those sort of transformation songs.

Stone of Cold Fire: Another 2 our of 3 for me. Beyond The Mysterious Beyond was intriguing and was a good setup for the story, and Very Important Creature was brilliant, not only because I love villain songs, but because this one didn't sound like other villain songs! But Good Inside honestly did nothing for me. It just went into old, generic LBT-song territory.

Big Freeze: Once again, I could listen through all 3 songs. When You're Mad was a fun song, especially for the second verse, where it almost sounded like a workout video. Family was another heartwarming song that seemed well placed and actually told a part of the story. And I know that quite a few people on here don't like The Lessons very much, but I don't mind it too much. It was listenable, and Mr Thicknose's voice fit the song syle. Definitely helped make this film one of my top LBT films.

Journey to Big Water: Another 2 out of 3 from me. Chanson D'ennui is one of my favs, with its slow jazz tune and lyrics, and No One Has To Be Alone was just plain beautiful for me. I could almost imagine it as a power-ballad or a showtune. But Imaginary Friend was just plain dumb. Maybe it's because I hate reggae music, but it just seemed really out of place, not to mention he message is kinda rendered obsolete by what happens in the very next scene!

Great Migration: Another solid 3 for me. Adventuring had a good ring o it, and pretty much summed up the gang's motives for the entire series in a single song. Me And My Dad was a bit average, but a nice half-time song, with some nice visuals with it. But the crowning glory of the songs, nay, the movie, was Bestest Friends. despite the cutesy title, it was beautifully written, performed and animated, and pretty muchdives me to tears every time I see/hear it. It is official, I am a wimp.

Invasion of the Tinysauruses: Once again, a solid 3. Creepy Crawlies was a nice deviation into folk music territory, and didn't seem too out of place. Girls and Dads was just great, with good yrics and good singers, even though the backup singers seem a bit odd. If Only was really the obligatory ballad for the moie, and did a decent job of it. Grandpa Longneck's got a decent set of pipes.

Great Day Of The Flyers: Probably a 2 out of 3 for me. One Of A Kind was pretty weak for me, especially the chorus as well as the beginnng (Petrie's singing voice is abit of an acquired taste), but Things Change was brilliant. Nice to see Cera getting a monologue song (even though her eyes go bright blue in the middle for no reason), topped off by the classic butterfly shot cliche. Flip Flap and Fly was a bit of a goofy number, but I still enjoyed it. It had a good rhythm and decent lyrics, and probably the most singers in a single song!

Wisdom of friends: 2 out of , definitely. Say So was okay, but sounded a bit silly. Nice to hear the kids harmonising though. Yellow Belly Bounce... what can I say? It stinks. Too long, too silly, and with that weird dancing in the back, took this whole thing down an IQ level or 2. How Do We Know was pretty good though, especially the end (I liked how the kids all seemed to be in a spotlight on the last note) when they were doing a round. Although the message of the song seemed a bit confused; Is it telling us to trust our instincts, or to trust our elders?
Yellow Belly Bounce aside, I think the songs were probably the only redeemable factor of this film.

But hey! That's just my opinions. What about you?

Check it out!
Check it out!

Just something I stumbled upon. I have no idea where it's from, but I want a proper copy!

By the way, I can tell that Littlefoot, Ali and Ducky are in the spoken intro but who is the other person? The one who speaks second?

And no, it's not Judith Barsi singing, unfortunately. It's Ducky's earlier sequel-voice actor.

LBT Fanfiction / The Mystery of the Blackweeds
« on: March 27, 2011, 05:10:15 PM »
Well, I said I'd do it, so here it is: Based off the own characters I designed, my first Land Before Time fanfic.

Chapter 1: Prelude to the mystery

Possibly the strangest part of the Mystery of the Blackweeds was the way it all began. Nothing to anticipate the turn of events. No signs, no premonitions. It all started like any other day in the Great Valley.

The sky was clear, the sky-puffies notably absent, the grass was green, the inhabitants, those proud, majestic creatures, the Dinosaurs, as blissfully unaware as always of the impending turn of events. The Flyers flew in the sky, the swimmers paddled playfully in the ponds, the Threehorns found more and more ways to argue with the Longnecks, and the children played blissfully and energetically, as always.

This morning in particular, Litlefoot and his friends had discovered a colossal melon at the base of a tree. How it came to be there was a mystery, since it was still hard and unripe. But they took the opportunity when they saw it, and soon a game of kicking the melon to eachother ensued.

"Over here Spike! To me!"

Spike obediently butted the melon with his forehead, towards Cera. She in turn, kicked it to Littlefoot. He skillfully manouevred the melon with his tail, in and out of the clumps of long grass. He would have made it towards the pair of trees serving as a goal, had he not been skilfully tackled from behind by Ruby.

"Heh, you have to be faster if you want to go faster than me!" she cried back as she turned the melon away from the goal, kicking it over to Chomper. And with a mighty boot, the melon was away from the goal and back into play!

The game went back and forth for hours, the playing field moving with them. Every time they scored a goal, they would allocate a new goal, farther away. The game was fully underway, and all were fully into it. So into it, in fact, that none seemed to notice how high up they had moved.

Until, that is, a well aimed push by Ducky sent the melon inbetween the two rocks which formed the goal, and down the other side of the mountain ridge. The very ridge that formed the wall betwen the Valley and what lay beyond.

"Oops..."

Littlefoot, Chomper and Cera peeked over the rocks to see where the melon had gone. The trees were too dense to see for sure.

"Great!" the young Threehorn muttered, "That was our last good fruitball, and now we've lost it!"

"I am sorry, I am, I am!" Ducky cried, "But I did not realise we were up so high."

"She right! Even me not notice, and me could see everything from up high" Petried added, hovering a few meters off the ground. A sudden gust of wind picked up, and he quickly returned to the ground.

"You only ever notice something like that when you see it. And I didn't see it at all." Ruby piped in.

"So now what do we do?" Chomper asked, sitting on a nearby rock.

Littlefoot paced back and forth a few times, trying to come up with some idea of where they could get a new fruitball. Most of the other ones on the ground were too squishy to play with, and the ones in the tree would be hard to get down.

"Why don't we just go get it back?"

Petrie looked at Cera as if she had just suggested murder. "Go down there?! Into Mysterious Beyond?! No way, too dangerous!"

But Cera was adamant "Look, it's not that far down, and since it's a valley, the fruit probably rolled really close to the wall anyway. We could go down there and get it back before anyone knows we're gone!"

The gang looked to Littlefoot. He looked back into the valley, and saw that most of the grownups were over by the Thundering falls, well away. Turning back to his friends, he nodded reluctantly.

"Alright, but who goes? We need to think this through."

Within a few minutes, it was decided. Ducky and Cera would keep a lookout in case the grownups approached, from atop the ridge. Littlefoot and Spike would wait halfway down the slope, ready to help if anything went awry. Petrie would fly above them all, keeping a lookout for where the fruitball may have gone, as well as whether any sharpteeth were around.

Chomper and Ruby, having once been residents of the Beyond themselves, were given the task of actually going into the Beyond to retrieve the fruit. The other leaf-eaters would look a bit conspicuous, but Chomper was a Sharptooth himself, and Ruby a Fast-Biter, so if they encountered any creatures, they might be able to talk their way out of it.

And so they went to work, scouring the rocky canyons and wastes just by the Great Wall, all the while keeping an eye out for any movement.

"Chomper, I'll look this way. You try over by the wall."

Chomper nodded, sniffing for any scent of the aromatic fruit. Suddenly, he stopped stock still. He knew that smell for sure; The fruitball was so close! He ran in the direction of the smell, which got stronger and stronger with every step. He rounded a corner, the smell was so strong he felt like he'd be sick!
Turning another corner, and there it was! Perched among a crop of boulders, just atop the shortest one, the fruitball rested, pierced slightly by a spike of rock.

Grinning with satisfaction, he looked up. There was Petrie, a tiny speck in the sky, flying steadily, which could only mean that there was no trouble abound. As he turned his head back to the ground, he noticed another, larger flyer in the sky. It flew slowly, gliding on an air current, not too far from Petrie, not really moving anywhere. However, Petrie did not seem to react, so it couldn't be a problem.
Shrugging, he scampered up towards the rocks where the fruitball lay. His feet trampled the shale and slate underfoot, causing him to slip momentarily. But he regained his balance and continued on. Looking for a better footing, he moved towards a flat piece of stone, larger than the others, and placed a foot on it. It wobbled a bit, then was still. he placed another foot on it.
The stone held his weight for only a moment, before it gave under him, burying him in slate and gravel.

Chomper screamed for help, but only recieved a mouthful of grit in reply. Spitting it out, his eyesight became blurred. Looking skyward, he saw Petrie suddenly stop in the sky and flutter about in a panic. Obviously he had seen it, Chomper thought to himself. However, his relief turned to exhaustion as he felt the weight of the rock crushing the air from his lungs.

He noted two things before he blacked out. One, that Petrie finally seemed to notice the other flyer in the sky, as the larger of the two suddenly turned and flew towards the rest of the Mysterious Beyond. The second thing was that as well as the darkness of the rocks, he could see the sillhouette of strange figures, peering in through the gap in the rocks. Their eyes stood out in the darkness, one pair were red, one pair yellow, and the third pair a dark brownish-grey.

That was all he noted, before he blacked out.

Character Profiles / Allicloud's Characters
« on: March 24, 2011, 02:03:24 PM »
Well, until I get a potential fanfic going with these guys, I think I'll stick them in an RP, see how they fare:

The Blackweed Brothers and Sister. A gang of juvenile dinosaurs, so named because of their habit of draping blackened swamp-grass on themselves, as a sort of gang colours. Just like any young dinosaurs, they just like to play, but to say that their games are a bit rough would be an understatement. Recently they discovered the Great Valley itself. Unfortunately, they have a clever plan to get in and wreak their traditional havoc.

Name: Redback
Species: Spinosaurus
Approx. Age: A bit older than Hyp, so about 16, 17 in human years
Faction: Sharptooth

Bio: One of the cruelest sharpteeth of the Mysterious Beyond, he runs the Blackweed Brothers. He is the brains and leadership of the group, and just loves making new friends...Unfortunately, unlike the Gang of Five, his idea of "fun" isn't adventuring and singing.

Name: Rhedo
Species: Rhedosaurus
Approx Age: About 10 in human years

Bio: The muscle of the Blackweed Brothers, he makes up for his dim-wittedness by his bizarre speed and ferocity. He serves as the brute force in the gang's "games", as well as Redback's preferred mode of transport.

Name: Celya
Species: Coelophysis
Approx Age: 12 in human years

Bio: The only girl in the Brothers (or Brothers-and-sister, as they had to call it when she joined), Celya makes up for her disadvantage by being just as vicious as any sharptooth boy. Don't let her big eyes and tiny stature fool you, she's fast, and those claws are bigger than they look.

Name: Tero
Species: Pteranodon
Approx Age: 15 in human years

Bio: The only leaf-eater in the Brothers, he got separated from his flock while flying near the Smokey Mountains, and was found by the Brothers. He managed to fend them off for several weeks by hiding in a cave. This left such an impression, they swore to never attack him and thus he became the newest member of the Brothers. He was also the one who taught leaf-eater speech to Redback and his gang, but lost his voice soon after in a chance encounter with a fast-biter. The fight left him mute, with a twisted leg, and a cold-emotionless stare. Who knows what goes on in that brain of his..?

Anyways, that's them. Expect to see them in  an OC RP anytime soon.

Sound Off! / My assorted Drum Covers
« on: March 19, 2011, 11:45:24 AM »
Hey y'all. Just some of the drum-cover videos I've made. I'll probably be making more pretty soon, but for now, here are my best 2 out of my current 3:

Carameldansen Metal Remix

Probably my magnum opus, since this is the song I performed at a show at school (can't find the video for it though, unfortunately) that everybody knows about.

And here's a little something that I know you will enjoy:

Flip Flap and Fly

Yep. Ther very same song from Land Before Time XII.

I'm insane, I know. But I'd still appreciate critique and comments, etc. And if you want, subscribe,  :smile

I'll post more as I go, with "Big Water" and "Run To The Hills" coming up soon.

LBT Fanart / Allicloud's Fanart Thread
« on: March 10, 2011, 12:55:18 PM »
Hey y'all. Just thought I'd stick up some of my assorted LBT fanart. Nothing that big or impressive yet, but I'm working my way up.

First up, a quick character sheet I did to help get my mind around drawing Littlefoot. Facial expressions, posture, geometrics, etc

But since they pictures are so big, I'll link to them on my DA account, rather than embed them:

Littlefoot Character Sheet

And up next, a character sheet of similar use and design, for Pterano, one of my personal favourite characers. He's just so cool and sinister, yet with a good side! Plus, his voice...Oh geez, I'd definitely turn gay and scalie for that voice!

Pterano Character Sheet

And finally, probably the strangest LBT fanart pic I've done since I tried to draw Dr Steel as a flyer (Couldn't figure out how to do the lab-coat or gloves), I give you...

Petrie Playing a Saxophone!
Petrie Playing a Saxophone!

Anyways, I'll put up more of it as I make them. Also, quick heads-up, anyone expecting fancy photoshop vector-pictures, look somewhere else. I'm straight up pen and pencil all the way.

Oh, and if I could have any advie on how to embed images from DA, I'd appreciate it.

The absolute must have for any dinosaur fan, or for anyone who wanted a pet but either cannot afford one, isn't allowed, or is allergic, or whatever. He reacts to sounds, certain objects, sudden asence of ground, touch, temperature (nothing more heartwrenching than seeing him shiver) , smells. Like a robot, he can be powered down or recharged, but like a pet, he explores, can be trained, recognises voices, and even gets sick and injured if you play a bit too rough, or neglect him.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Pleo.

Anyone else got one of these little guys? I have to admit, I'm so taken by the little guy, I'm getting my first real job and starting a savings jar just to buy one myself. They're definitely on the pricey side ($469), but 1. That's a little cheaperthan  a real dog or cat, without the cleanup, 2. It's alot cheaper than it sounds to me, since I am in Britain, so that's around £229, and 3. It's alot cheaper than most other robot-pets, like PaPeRo or AIBO.

Discuss.

Hey y'all! Allicloud here. Long time LBT fan, hoping to bring some of my quirkiness to this forum, as I have done to so many others!

I'm 16, mostly Canadian, male, and my philosophy is simple:

1. Growing old is compulsary, growing up is optional.
2. If something isn't fun, helpful or fulfilling, I see no point in doing it.
3. If it doesn't hurt me or anybody else, I see no reason why I shouldn't do it.

My motto is also simple:

"Adulthood is just like childhood except for one thing: When you're an adult, there's nobody to stop you eating ice-cream for breakfast!"

I'm an avid fan of heavy metal, many animes, Godzilla, dinosaurs in general, Mystery Science Theatre 3000, cosplaying, roleplaying, cartoons, and I currently hold a 9th Kyu green-belt in Ninjutsu. I also practice shamanism (My animal totem is a deer), divination (Mostly tarot, but also runes and pendulum dowsing) and study the occult and paranormal. I am also a soldier in the Dr Steel Army Of Toy Soldiers, helping the good Doctor take over the world and transform it into a Utopian Playland!

My friends have described me as quirky, free-spirited, mysterious, cartoonish, and harmless, and commented on how I make things that are nerdy, suddenly cool.

I have a fear of heights (Especially church towers, for some reason), and spiders (especially big ones). However, despite my fear of heights, my biggest wish is to be able to fly without an aircraft (I'd prefer wings, jetpack, Superman-ability, that kinda stuff)

Any questions?
