Currently I'm listening to this new song. It has to be the deepest song Bring Me The Horizon has released ever since the song "Suicide Season" from twelve years ago. (BMTH does have a lot of deep songs in general, though...)

(Warning: There is some profanity in the chorus, and the song + music video itself both revolve around dark themes/personal issues of the singer, Oliver Sykes.)

@ImpracticalDino I recognized that song right away from the first line. I've always been a big Nickelback fan.

On that note, their song "Lullaby" is also a very touching song.
Quote
~Verse 1~
I know the feeling of finding yourself stuck out on the ledge.
And there ain't no healing from cutting yourself with the jagged edge.
I'm telling you that it's never that bad, take it from someone who's been where your at.
You're laid out on the floor and you're not sure you can take this anymore.

~Chorus~
So just give it one more try with a lullaby and turn this up on the radio.
If you can hear me now, I'm reaching out to let you know that you're not alone.
And if you can't tell, I'm scared as hell, 'cause I can't get you on the telephone.
So just close your eyes, well honey here comes a lullaby, your very own lullaby.

~Verse 2~
Please let me take you out of the darkness and into the light.
'Cause I have faith in you that you're gonna make it through another night.
Stop thinking about the easy way out, there's no need to go and blow the candle out
Because you're not done, you're far too young, and the best is yet to come.

~Bridge~
Well, everybody's hit the bottom and everybody's been forgotten
Well, everybody's tired of being alone, yeah everybody's been abandoned.
And left a little empty handed, so if you're out there barely hanging on.

Well, honey here comes a lullaby, your very own lullaby.

I also think "Another Life" by Motionless in White is a pretty touching song:
Quote
~Verse 1~
If I can't let you go will darkness divide?
For the fiction of love is the truth of our lies.
We were playing for keeps, but we both knew the cost.
Now the only way out's in your heart shaped box.

~Chorus~
But I hate that it seemed you were never enough.
We were broken and bleeding but never gave up.
And I hate that I made you the enemy.
And I hate that your heart was the casualty.
Now I hate that I need you.

~Verse 2~
As we rest here alone like notes on a page, the finest to compose could not play our pain.
With a candle through time I could still see your ghost.
But I can't close my eyes, for it is there where you haunt me most!

~Chorus~
I hate that it seemed you were never enough.
We were broken and bleeding but never gave up.
And I hope that I sing through your memory, as we echo through time in the melody.
Now I hate that I need you.

~Bridge~
And I hear you now when you said "It hurts, but it had to fall apart to work".
As I see you now in what's left of me, is it too late to plead insanity?
(I WON'T LEAVE YOU!)

~Chorus~
'Cause I hate that it seemed you were never enough.
You were broken and bleeding in the name of love.
And I hope that we meet in another life.
I hope that we meet in another life.
I don't hate that I need you. [x3]

Why do you like Cera? :cerasmug
Hmm, I don't think I've ever really sat down and considered the reason before. I'd say it's probably because of her somewhat no-nonsense personality reminding me of myself, though.

I'm about to watch The Meg in 15 minutes after I finish watching something on YouTube.

Ah cool, you have that Cera cover of the first movie! Nice :)
I just remembered that I also have some TLBT PC games somewhere. I need to try and find them.

I believe this is everything TLBT-related that I own. I used to have every movie from 1 to 11 on VHS, but I'm not sure what I did with most of them (probably inadvertently sold them).

Who do you think has the better singing voice Cera :CeraHAPPY or Ducky :duckyhappy?
Hmm. Both have really good singing voices, but I think I'm gonna have to give it to Cera. The emotion she put into singing "Things Change" still gets to me all these years later.

Omg, I did a little diggin g in your previous accounts post history, your the author of A Journey of a Forgotten Past, arnt you.
Dude I used too love that fic, I'm a fan. Great too see you back in the community, maybe even with more stories  :ChomperAmused
Oh, yeah, I did write that. I think it might still be on fanfiction.net too, but I'm not sure since I stopped using fanfiction.net and let somebody I got to know on DeviantArt take over the account since I was too busy to write stuff for a few years. I may make a new fanfiction.net account soon, though, so I can post anything I might write in the future.

(I may begin with re-writing the story you mentioned, since I've improved greatly since that was written.)

It's actually rare for me to hear a song I outright dislike. Rare, but not impossible...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiaYDPRedWQ

I don't know if that's the worst song I've ever heard, necessarily, but it's the first thing that sprang to mind when I saw this thread.
I have to second this. Ironically, Avril Lavigne is one of my favorite singers because of her post-grunge and nu-metal days (her first two albums), and some of her other songs after that, like Head Above Water and When You're Gone, among a few others. But "Hello Kitty"... it blows my mind that the same person who wrote a song about the passing of a loved one, "Slipped Away", could write something like "Hello Kitty". I feel similarly about her song "Bad Girl" featuring Marilyn Manson... poorly written and cringy.

Other than that for me, literally any party song by Hollywood Undead, like "Coming in Hot", "No. 5", and "Everywhere I Go". I don't know why old Hollywood Undead enjoy these songs - the cringe factor aside, the lyrics are too crude for my taste, and I wouldn't recommend that anybody listen to them - the lyrics are really cringe and disturbing so I won't even link them here. Hollywood Undead's deeper songs like "Young", "We Are", "Pain", "Gotta Let Go", "Nightmare", and "Outside" have so much more lyrical depth and effort to them than their party-oriented songs ever will (the only exception to this in their 15 years as a band is their song "My Town").

Avenged Sevenfold - So Far Away, Warmness on the Soul
Godsmack - Under Your Scars
Avril Lavigne - Slipped Away, When You're Gone, Let Me Go (ft. Chad Kroeger), Head Above Water

Red - Hymn for the Missing
Set It Off - Missing You, Dad's Song
Katy Perry - Thinking of You, The One That Got Away, Part of Me, Not Like the Movies, Miss You More, By The Grace Of God

Yeah, it was rough for the first six months after she passed away since she had raised me and so was more like my mother than grandmother, but I managed to move on from my grief eventually.

But sad topics aside, yeah, I'm really glad to be back here. It gave me a funny feeling of nostalgia that I hadn't felt in five years the first day I returned here.

Yeah, I figured that before I go to bed, I'd make a new "Ask me" thread for myself since I was gone for about five years and the one from my old account will be difficult to locate now. I'll try to answer any questions I receive to the best of my ability and as soon as possible.

Hey Adder! Or I guess I should say Dagmar now :D Good to see you back here. Hope life has been kind to you. :rainbowwave
Yeah, overall it has been. 2017 ended on a bad note for me with my grandmother passing away, but otherwise, the past three years have been alright. (2020 sure has been a strange year, though...)

@Everyone else: Thanks for all the welcome backs. It's also nice to see that the forum is still going strong with a lot of new faces.

Welcome back to the forum!  :)littlefoot It is a great day when a member makes a return to our community.  Though the lack of time due to work and real life concerns is totally understandable (I can certainly relate) I am glad to see that you are back to this little corner of the Internet.

As for the old account, if you wish we could see about restoring your access to that account.  As an alternative we could perhaps change your current username to indicate your previous username as well.  If either of those options would work for you keep me informed and I will see what we admins can arrange.
Yeah, it feels good to be back. I'd been thinking more and more about the forum as of late and how much I missed it, so I thought "Okay, I need to return".

In regards to my old account though, I think I'm okay with using my new one. "Dagmar" happens to be the name of a character from a Dragonheart fanfiction that I started three years ago then never had time to continue. I'm gonna be finally giving her a design and more depth, so I think I'm okay with having an account that refers to her.

Right now I'm listening to "Collateral" by Riverline. I'm in an early 2000s-era nu metal mood.

(Fun fact: This is a 2019 band. Riverline sounds almost the same as early 2000-era Linkin Park, and it gives me so much nostalgia.)

Old member here returning, oof. I think I was probably last active about 5-6 years ago? Man, how I was wrong that I'd always be active here. My job and everything got in the way since I was last active in 2014-15. But recently I started to miss being a part of this forum and being interested in The Land Before Time, so I decided to make a sudden return. I saw the latest movie in 2017 when it first released, but it never really occurred to me to return here as well until this year.

This is my previous account here, but I couldn't recall my email for it and I got a message saying that neither of my emails are registered to an account here, so I decided to create a new account in the end. So... I'm back and I'll try to be active every now and then, but currently I work about five days a week and am busy with renovating a house that I'll be moving to, so I may vanish and re-appear randomly.

(I wonder if anybody who knew me five-plus years ago who would remember me is still active here?)
