It is another pieceful day in the Great Valley, at least for now. The residents of the lush paradise have no idea that their world is about to change forever. Disaster has struck the Mysterious Beyond, but the Great Valley has remained untouched, until now. It's only a matter of time before the war for the valley begins...
Doc looked up into the bright blue sky as the bright circle rose high. "Morning finally." He had been asleep for only a couple hours. There was something amiss, something he knew was wrong, but he couldn't figure it out. "Guess it will come when it does." He stood up from his sleeping area and decided to venture into the valley.
Meanwhile, Zaine has just started eating his breakfast. "I wonder what kind of day it's going to be today. I just hope it's not boring. I'm ready for an adventure."

Unknown to the inhabitants, Sierra had started flying high up in the sky above the Great Valley. He scanned the general area below and took note of where all the herds were. "So far they still don't know anything yet. Perfect. One more loop around and then I'll go inform the others."

Elsewhere in the valley Cera was in a mood that contrasted the tranquility of the day. Tricia had been collicy lately and it was keeping Cera up all night. Quietly fuming, she walked to the spot where she usually met her friends in the morning.
Meanwhile Spike was happily munching on his second early morning, pre-breakfast snack while waiting for Ducky to wake up.

With the sun shining trough the trees, casting reflections in the morning dew covering the lush lands of the Great Valley, this morning such as many mornings before, Littlefoot woke up with a series of yawns.
Somewhere, a flyer was screaming, breaking the silence of the morning air.
Littlefoot rose. He stretched. He had been sleeping well, a calm night without sleep stories. Now, he was looking forward to another day of fun with his friends.
He turned around. His grandparents had been sleeping next to him.
They were still there, yet not awake. A series of snores were coming from their nostrills.
Littlefoot walked over to the face of them both. Carefully, he poked them with his feet.
"Hey, grandpa, grandma... it's morning! You wanna go find breakfast together with me?" he asked them.

Meanwhile, outside of the Valley one fastbiter named Claw was looking at the Great Wall, which was now brightly lighted. It took him and his pack a lot Bright Circles to get to this place, but now they were here, finally...
"<So this is the Hidden Valley? It is surely well protected>" he said to himself. Then someone else talked:
"<Hidden? You meant Great, right?>"
Claw looked back and growled to the bluish purple fastrunner, who was standing behind him:
"<I know what I am saying, Ovie. This Valley lies across those mountains and it is hard to get there, so we - sharpteeth - call it Hidden Valley. Got it?>"
"<Ah... Yes. For you it makes perfect sense, but for leafeaters it is the best place they could live in, therefore they have a reason to call it Great Valley>" male fastrunner said.
"<Yes, yes.>" in Claw's voice was obvious impatience, as he interrupted Ovie "<We are not here to talk about names. You said there was a secret tunnel leading inside?>" he asked. At that question fastrunner glanced at Great Wall for a moment and then pointed to the right of it:
"<If I remember well the entrence to it should be somewhere around... there>"
"<If you remember?>" Claw asked with a frown on his mouth.
"<Hey! I havent been to that place for a long time, so I could forget exact location of that tunnel.>" Ovie responded.
"<Lets hope you did not, because if you did then I and my pack would have one less reason to protect you and yours mate from other sharpteeth.>" Claw said sternly. The fastrunner mumbled something under his breath "<It is time to get back to the others>" Claw added, walking towards their temporary resting point...

Longtail and Cyrix had both waken up with the bright circle, and even now with it still rising in the sky, they were practicing how best to escape a sharptooth attack. Longtail rolled across the ground for a moment and groaned.
"uncle...I'm hungry...and this is getting boring. Can I go paly?" the young flyer asked.
"Not yet nephew. Two more tires please." replied Cyrix with a stern look on his face, as he took another fighting stance.
Longtail groaned once again and stood up. He then swiftly charged at his uncle not wanting to give the older rainbow face a chance to strike back.
Cyrix however was ready and simply tail whipped his nephew backwards and right through a nearby bush. He frowned for a moment before stepping forward to make sure Longtail was alright.
Longtail rolled for several feet and came to a stop only after bumping into something soft. He looked up and was met with the scowling face of Cera.
"Oh...hi. Had a bad day already Cera?" he asked with a shy smile knowing her answer could be to just yell in his face.

Grandpa Longneck opened one of his eyes slowly and smiled at this grandson.
"I suppose it is time for us to rise. But...if you could just wait for a few moments Littlefoot I'll be sure to come with you.

Shorty looked down at the valley. It didn't seem much time since he and Bron had been to it. Even though not admitting it, it seemed rather refreshing to get to see Littlefoot and his friends again.
The lush paradise seemed much like the perfect spot to be any day...
"Even the worst ones, I guess." He completed his thought, travelling along with Bron.
(OOC: So, I assume Bron' rol was taken, but since he/she hasn't posted, and I didn't know where to start either - if already in the valley or not - so I went ahead and made it like they hadn't still arrived. If there's a problem, though, please tell.)

Grandma longneck yawned and nodded, agreeing with grandpa. "Yes, Littlefoot. That sounds lovely."

Bron felt a warm glow rise in his chest as he stared out over the valley. The prospect of seeing his son again always put him in a fantastic mood. He was a little worried that their frequent visits might be taking a toll on his herd, but he pushed the thought to the back of his mind. It was simply something that had to be done.
And this time there was a much more pressing reason behind the journey.
"Just a little farther!" Bron called out, leading them forward.

Claw and Ovie were walking through small forest, which was so peaceful now. The only sound you could hear was a rustle of leaves moved by gentle wind, which was pleasently cooling the air warmed already by Bright Circle. It was so much green in here for a place lying outside of Great Wall. There was life here and surely there was even more of it in Hidden Valley and that thought was in some way bitter to Claw. He remembered that from where he came there was nothing now. Nothing but destruction and death. He hadnt lost anybody in disaster that happened in Mysterious Beyond, although he felt it was unjust that some could live happily not knowing that others were suffering a lot at the same time. But then again... So many sharpteeth were heading to the Hidden Valley, thus it will be inevitable for leafeaters to suffer too. In the end that catastrophe will affect everyone...

On his stroll, Doc spotted Littlefoot and his grandparents. Finally a familiar face. He smiled a little and walked over to the young longneck. "Hey kid. You still trying to do that tail trick, or do I have to teach you again?" He laughed a little and nodded towards Grandma and Grandpa Longneck.

Zaine had finished his breakfast and decided to go look for his friends. I hope Longtail hasn't gotten into trouble already. Cyrix would kill him. Sure enough, he managed to witness Longtail rolling into Cera and he couldn't help but laugh. "Well that certainly is one way to escape sharpteeth. Roll away until you hit something else is pure genius!" He then walked over towards Cyrix. "Good morning Cyrix. I take it this was not part of your exercises?"

As Sierra continued his flight, he noticed the children down below. "So those little brats are still around?" Then he noticed a bunch more children whom he had never seen before. "How do those twerps keep growing in numbers? Oh well. When we take over the valley I will personally make each one my slave."

Littlefoot shone up at Doc.
"Hello Doc! ...Not really... but I'll get the hang of it in no time!" he smiled.
"Hey, care to join us for breakfast, Doc?" Littlefoot said hopefully.

Over by the Thundering Falls, Ruby and Chomper were sitting at the river bank.
They had been waking up early, of no special reason. Ruby had asked Chomper with her to the falls, and he had gladly followed her.
Now they were sitting there. Chomper was gnawing on some bugs that he'd found on the way from their caves. Ruby was sitting on a rock with her feet in the water, she had a pile of leaves next to her.
"Thanks for taking me along, Ruby!" Chomper said. "I never thought getting up early could be this nice."
"Well, you never know until you try Chomper, and now you've tried!" I like this place in the morning, there are not many others here and the sunrise is beautiful from here." Ruby smiled.
"It sure is!" Chomper replied with a mouthful.

Meanwhile, somewhere underground the valley surface...
A young tinysaurus stood in a light ray from the sun above, drinking water from a small underground stream.
His body was sapphire blue, and his belly in a light grey. The eyes were red and sparkling with life even early in the morning.
As the little dinosaur was busy drinking, he did not notice that he was being watched.
Another of his own kind crawled out of another cave. This one was marine blue, almost green. His name was Skitter.
Skitter had just woke up, and he rose up at his feet and yawned out as he stretched out his body. Then he slowly walked towards the other tinysaurus.
"Hey.. hey Fry! What are you doing up this early?"
The dinosaur named Fry, turned around. A bright smile was drawn over his face.
"Good morning Skitter! I'm just... I couldn't sleep so I decided to get up." he said.
"I was thinking of heading up to the surface! You wanna come along?"
Fry nodded towards another cave tunnel.
"Yeah, I would! But it's just... we're not allowed..." Skitter began.
"C'mon Skitter! Just for once? We're just heading up a bit earlier than usual. You're not afraid of Big daddy getting a little edgy, are you?" Fry said with a grin.
Skitter hesitated. Still, there wasn't a biggie. It could be worth it.
"Alright, sure. I'm coming with you!"
"Hehe, great!" Fry smiled. "Let's go then!"
Together, they started walk into one of the tunnels.
"Where are we going?" Skitter asked with curiosity.
"I'm going to see if Blueberry's awake already. Fry answered.
"But if I know that fastrunner, I bet my tail that he's snoring like a hatchling right now! he said with an evil grin."

Shorty kept going down the slope that went directly to the base of the mountain ranges, directly to the green prairies.
From up the hills, he had seen what he thought to be Littlefoot and the others, but the way seemed to not make any sense, compared to what he had seen from the top.
Therefore, after having come down, he waited for the rest of the herd.
"Maybe I went a little too fast..." He thought, even though not losing his confident pose towards the greenery.

Cera looked down on the flyer laying at her feet. "As a matter of fact I have had a bad day already and your not helping!" she screamed at longtail while displaying a scowl that would scare a sharptooth. The threehorn took a step back than shoved longtail, hard enough to send him skidding, but not hard enough to hurt him.

Zaine laughed a little. "Oh cheer up Cera. You can't blame Longtail for your moody feelings. Besides, you'll wind up like your dad if you don't stop now!"

Doc was normally kind of a loner type, but ever since he decided to stay in the valley he was growing out of that type. "I'm sure you will some day kid. Well if your folks don't mind the company, then I could stick around a little." He smiled and winked.

Grandma smiled as she slowly got to her feet. "Of course we wouldn't mind, Doc. It's always wonderful to see you." She glanced over at Grandpa, to confirm her assumptions of his opinion on the matter.

Bron slowed as he approached Shorty, scanning the vast expanse of rock before them.
"... Huh. Must have overshot the pass."
Even as he said this, he caught a glimpse of what he took to be the far edge of the opening out of the corner of his eye.
"Ah! Well, we weren't too far off, anyways. Alright everyone, this way!"
Now sure of their course, and more eager than ever to see Littlefoot, Bron's step quickened.

Ali yawned widely. She stood up and sctretched out her neck and tail. She had been sleeping behind her mother's curled up tail. Since her herd had just arrived in the valley a short while ago, none of the herd had got a chance to build a proper nest. Ali had only spoken to Littlefoot for a short time while the adults welcomed her herd back into the Valley for the third time.
She wanted to go and find Littlefoot and company, but her stomach growled loudly. She turned and headed towards her mother's head. She wasn't surprised to find that her mother was already awake.
"Good morning, Ali."
"Good morning," the young longneck chriped back cheerfully.
"Ready for breakfast?"
"You bet."

Rhette came up to Ali, yawning broadly, he had just woken up.. "mornning ali' He said, yawning again. He really cared for Ali, but she had feelings for Littlefoot.. and that was getting to be a problem..

Grandpa longneck nodded in reply to his mate's comment.
"Yes Doc, please join us, we would greatly enjoy your company this morning."

Cyrix chuckled along with Zaine as the young longneck asked his question.
"Well...actually it was part of the exercise, I just wasn't expecting Longtail to roll so far."
Longtail however laughed as Cera budged him away from her.
"Hehe...sorry you are in such a bad mood Cera, but hey...at least we know you're slower to chase someone when angry!" he said aloud as he stood up and tensed his body in case Cera tried to chase after him for that little snappy comment.

Ducky had just wken up from sleeping in her nest and could tell her siblings were off either playing or eating. And on that thought her tummy growled at her, and she stood up knowing she would have to eat before going to play.
"I wonder where Spike is...I do, I do?" she asked herself quietly while looking for her brother.

Rinkus was sitting in the Mysterious Beyond waiting to hear from Seirra.
"Where is that flyer...he said it would be a quick little fly over, and it takes this long?!" he shouted to the sky.

"Oh, you'll regret that!" Cera muttered as she grew more furious. The three horn lowered her head and pushed firmly off the ground, begining the chase.

Spike was finshed with what could be considered his seventh meal of the morning by the time he wandered back to his family's nest. There found Ducky had just woken up, so he walked over to his adopted sister and gave her a welcoming nudge.

Longtail expecting Cera's reaction turned and bolted into the tree behind him and climbed the closest branch and then jumped off it, while spreading his wings and flying though the air.
"Come on Cera I thought you would be better than this!" he called out as he flapped over her head deliberately and laughed.

Ducky giggled as she felt Spike nudge her, and she turned around and hugged him.
"Good to see you Spike, it is, it is!" she exclaimed as she hugged him again.

"Hey, calm down! Not that fast!" Shorty complained running so he could stand in front of Bron.
After some time running, he could now see an opening. Beyond this opening, he could see a few young dinosaurs running around. A specific, he could identify it, most precisely, her, as a threehorn ran around after a longneck he didn't recognize.
"Hey, isn't that Cera?" He said asif talking to himself.

Zaine laughed. "You better fly Longtail, because she's gaining on you!" Zaine remembered a bunch of times when Cera and Longtail would playfully argue over who was better. They always tended to be interrupted by something even more important, but he was wondering how this wound turn out.

Sierra finally decided his flight was done. He turned around and headed back to the Mysterious Beyond. The time is almost here. These fools will have no idea what's in store for them.
When he finally made it, he ran into Rinkus. "The leaf eaters suspect nothing. This is almost going too well. How are your preparations coming?"

Longtail picked up speed as he heard Zaines call. But he was still staying low to the ground to make it fair for Cera.
"You really need to move faster Cera, if this were a dangerous situation you'd be sharptooth bait right now!" he chuckled aloud.

Rinkus grimaced as Seirra landed and asked about his progress.
"Well...ya see...I was waiting for you to come back....so i could tell ya, well...I was only able to find a few flyers willing to go along with this...but enough fastbiters and sharpteeth...I think. Look for yourself." he said pointing to the group collected behind him.

"Good morning, Rhett," Ali smiled. "We're just going to go get breakfast and then I was hoping to find Littlefoot and the rest and see what they had planned for the day."
She hoped they wouldn't have a repeat of what had happened the last time they had been here. She wanted to balance the time she spent with Rhett and her friends in the Great Valley.
"Do you want to come with?" she asked.

Sure" rhette agreed readily.. "lead the way.."

Petrie woke uin his nest to find himself alone..his family had already woken had left..

Claw and Ovie eventually arrived at the resting place. There, waiting for them, were six other sharpteeth and one fastrunner female. All of them were resting, which was understandable considering how long they had been traveling before reaching this place. Claw looked at them for a moment before he called:
"<Shadow and Blacktail to me!>"
At that two fastbiters got up from the ground and came to Claw. The first one, Shadow, had a very dark green skin with brown and grey stripes, which made her well camouflaged amongst the trees. Claw knew that she was probably the best scout he had ever saw and good second in command too. They both lived through many dangerous adventures and she never let Claw down. The second biter he called, Blacktail, (green with white stripes and black end of his tail) was a type of "more muscles than brain". He was very strong (which was good) and liked to show or use his strenght on others (which wasn't so good). Blacktail was also so independent that he barely racognized Claw as his leader and few times he tried to win leadership in fight, without a success as yet...
"<Welcome back, Chief.>" Shadow said respectfully, but Blacktail did not care about formalities.
"<Did you find that tunnel?>" he asked.
"<Yes. Ovie showed me its likely location>" Claw answered.
"<Likely location? You mean you didnt see it?!>" Blacktail growled and Shadow gave him angry look. Claw ignored Blacktail's voice tone.
"<It can wait. Now I want us to find a bettel place to settle. While we will be looking for it, you will go to the Valley>" he said that last part to fastrunner.
"<To the Valley? What for?>" Ovie asked.
"<I want to know more about its inhabitants: where they usually sleep, eat; who is the fighting type; who leads them and so on>" Claw responded.
"<So you want me to be your spy then?>"
"<Yes. You have any problem with this?>" fastbiter's leader asked. Ovie thought that for a second he had heard a threatening tone in Claw's voice, but perhaps it was just his imagination. After all this time spent with pack of predators he was still partly afraid of them, remembering that they only had tolerated him and his mate because they needed informations.
"<Not at all. I am just suprised you are asking me for it. You usually send Shadow to check things out>" Ovie answered.
"<She is a scout and I need a spy, as you adequately put. Fastrunner will be better for that job>" Claw said, at which Ovie whispered under his breath: "<Lucky me>". At aloud he asked:
"<You are sending only me, so I take that Amber is staying with the group?>" he glanced at his mate, who was sleeping right now. He feared to leave her alone, but he knew that he had no other choice. If he wanted fastbiters to continue with protecting them that is.
"<Yes. One is enough for that task>" Claw said, looking shortly at pink fastrunner and again at Ovie.
"<Can you be so kind and do some spying for us now, please?>" Blacktail asked snidely, showing his teeth "<Or should I make you do that?>". At that Ovie walked away hastily. Shadow again looked at Blacktail with a frown.
"<Could you stop acting like a jerk, Blacktail? There was no need for that.>" she told.
"<What?! I just gave our 'friend' a little motivation to move>" Blacktail laughed "<Besides... This is only a weak fastrunner. Who cares if I scared him a bit?>"
"<Shadow is right>" Claw said sternly "<Dont do that again or...>"
"<Or what?>" Blacktail asked defiantly.
"<Or you will be all by yourself from that moement. Understood?>" Claw said. Other sharptooth was silent for a few seconds before simply nodding and then he went away to the others, who were still resting.
"<This biter can be a pain in a tail sometimes, Chief>" Shadow stated.
"<Tell me about it>" Claw responded with a sigh...
(I hope this post is not too long, but when I was writing it I couldnt stop :) )

Ozzie and Strut were among the group gathered with the sharpteeth.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Strut asked.
"Why yes." Ozzie replied. "We can get revenge on those brats and a place to live. Kill two with one stone."
Strut gulped.

In a different part of the group Dromaeo and Deimos were standing at the ready.
"Ready to fight?" Dromaeo asked Deimos.
Deimos nodded and snapped his foot claws forward. "Yes." Not for you though. He thought.

Ovius and Hyp were enjoying a game of ball.
"Catch me if you can!" Ovius teased as he wove around Hyp.
Hyp grumbled and tried to catch Ovius.
Ovius easily outran Hyp and kicked the ball between two stones. "And that's why you're only a Runner not a Fast-Runner." Ovius joked.
"Yeah, whatever." Hyp replied, kicking the ball pack into play.

"Hey, not fair, you're too fast when you fly!" Cera managed to yell between gasps. Eventually Cera had enough, she dug her heels into the ground and came to a skidding halt. The three horn let herself fall flat to the ground as she tried to catch her breath. The run was good though, the exercise had put her in a slightly better mood. "You win" Cera said as she began to get her composure back, "this time".

Spike nudged Ducky again and began pointing his head towards the bushes, trying to indicate that he wanted to go find their friends.

Longtail turned around and landed on the ground a few fee from Cera.
"Well glad you see it my way!" he commented with mock pride. He then stepped back over to Zaine and asked, "So what do you want to do today?"
Cyrix cleared his throat.
"Aren't you forgetting something Longtail?"
The flyer sighed and faced the ground for a moment and shuffled his feet.
"But I wanna play." he whined.
Cyrix turned to Zaine and replied, "You are more than welcome to join in our morning exercise if you choose."

Doc nodded at Grandpa longneck's remarks. "Well then I guess I can't argue with that. Here kid let me show you how to really use that tail of yours." Doc approached a tall tree, glanced at the tree stars at the top, and whipped his tail. A few tree stars gently floated to the ground, and Doc smiled. "First one's yours kid."

Zaine smiled. "Well, I guess it could be fun. Besides, if I end up doing better than Longtail I get braggin rights."

Sierra glanced at the group and nodded. "Perfect. We have enough to send the valley a warning. We'll regroup and then arm ourselves for the full scale attack. Anybody up for taking children hostages?"

"Wow..." Littlefoot stared with amazment at his friend. "One day I'll be able to swing my tail just like you do Doc! I just... need to grow bigger..."
Seeing the treestars got him on other thoughts though.
"Treestars! Yeah!" Littlefoot jumped over the first treestar that hit the ground, starting to chew it.

"So... Blueberry's lazy?"
Skitter broke the silence in the cave tunnel around him and Fry as they walked.
"Nah... that was a joke. He has a tention of sleeping longer sometimes." Fry replied with a chuckle. "Once he..."
Skitter stopped.
Fry kept walking a few metres before he realized Skitter was behind.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"I thought I heard voices...? Where are we?"
Fry looked around.
"I think... we're somewhere under the middle of the valley... That... no that tunnel leads to the surface, why?"
"I thought I heard Cera... Skitter made a pause, before grining. "And she sounded mad!"
"That's Mr.Threehorns daugther, right? A friend of yours?"
"That's right, shall we go see?" Skitter said hopefully.
Fry nodded.
"Sure, I think I'll run into Blueberry sooner or later anyway. Let's go!"
"This way!"
The two dinosaurs took a turn and headed into a tunnel leading slowly upwards.

Chomper was done eating. He was lying on the ground and hold his belly.
"...Hey Ruby, wanna go find Littlefoot and the others?"
"Sure Chomper!" Ruby replied, swallowing one final leaf.
"Let's go and try find them."
They both got up on their feet, and started heading back into the lushy woods.

Dromaeo nodded. "Yeah! Let's do it! Of course we could kill a few of the children to demoralize the Valley dinosaurs."
There is no way in hell I am joining this conquest! Deimos thought.
He wandered to the edges of the group.

"All right," Ali glanced up at her mom. "We're going to go eat and try to find Littlefoot and his friends."
One advantage to the Great Valley was that there was food everywhere, so you could walk around and get breakfast at the same time in you wanted to.
"Okay, just be careful," Ali's mom said.
"Let's go!" Ali said, running off towards the gang's favorite meeting spot. It also happened to be in the direction of some tastey-looking treestars.

Al led his pack forward. They were in the mountainous area just outisde of the Valley. He glanced back at his mate and daughter and farther back his brother who brought up the rear. He felt a momentary surge of pride as he watched Lori trudge along. She had always been a tough little dino.
He stopped and the pack paused as they heard voices. Al slowly started forward. Leo came forward and followed at his side. Alice stopped and stood guard over Lori.
They turned a corner and spotted the fastbiter camp. The two sharpteeth glanced at each other. Al spoke first. "They're probably here to escape the disaster, too."
"What should we do?" Leo said. His stomach growled. "I'm hungry."
"We're not going to eat them," Al hissed softly at his brother. He exhaled calming down.
"I wasn't suggesting that," Leo said gently though the thought had briefly crossed his mind. "There were be plenty of food in this Hidden Valley anyway."
"I'm going to talk to them," Al decided. He stepped out from behind the corner and spoke loud enough to be heard, but not to sound threatening in anyway. "Excuse me. Are you looking for a way into the Hidden Valley as well?"

An eery mist was starting to rise around a rocky area... The dense fog seemed to come from nearby mountains, but descended to the ground with amazing speed.
Kyro travelled quietly through this mist, trying not to wake up any of the rockbacks around him.

Sierra shook his head. "The children are of no use to us dead. I want them alive! Especially the longneck Littlefoot!" He then turned back and faced the valley. I've waited too long to get back at that twerp, and I'm not going to let my chance at revenge fail. In the corner of his eye, he noticed Deimos inching away. Coward. He can stay here until we return for all I care.

Doc nodded. "I'm sure you will kid. I have no doubt one day you will grow to my size. Then he felt it. Something was about to happen, but he didn't know what. He looked around sharply. "I knew it. I knew this day was too good to be true." He glanced down at Littlefoot. "Kid, get behind your folks."

Zaine then noticed something he hadn't before. It seemed too quiet, almost too peaceful. Normally that wasn't a bad thing, but this was worse. Something was wrong. Something was going to happen very soon but he didn't know what. "Hey does anybody else feel that? Something seems strange, but I can't explain it."

"There are plenty of children there. Killing 1 or 2 to demoralize the Valley dinosaurs could make the battle easier." Dromaeo countered.

Bron laughed. "Okay, so maybe I got a little carried away... But here we are!"
He slowed up a bit at the mouth of the farwalkers' entrance to the valley, taking in the sight. The journey had been rough and dangerous, but here his herd could find refuge until he decided their course.
Certainly, Littlefoot had been a major factor in traveling toward the valley in the first place. But if his herd found the risk unnecessary, none said so.
They trusted their leader's judgment.

"Hmm?" Littlefoot looked up at Doc.
"Doc, what is it?"
But Littlefoot needed no more convincement. Doc's look was more than enough.
Slowly, he stepped backwards under the legs of his grandparents.
"Grandpa... what is going on?" he asked nervously.

Grandpa Longneck chuckled.
"Very well done Doc." He then smiled. "Mind if I tried?" he asked quizzically. As Littlefoot asked his question he looked down and answered truthfully "I don't know Littlefoot...but it can't be good."

Longtail scoffed and said aloud, "Yeah, that'll be the day Zaine. My uncle you may beat, but me...hehe...no bragging rights for you!"
Cyrix chuckled aloud.
"Oh boys now relax. Would you like to practice here, or somewhere else?" he asked Longtail and Zaine. He then stiffened and gasped.
Longtail noticed this as well, and he looked around expectantly.

Ducky smiled.
"Yes, spike...let us go find our friends.

Rinkus cackled with delight as he said, "Oh yes...there are quite a few I'd like to give a slow, painful beating too!"

Cera walked up to the spot Zaine, Longtail and Cyrix were standing and noticed their expressions. "Whats wrong?" she asked.

"I swear I will leave this pack and take Amber with me if this Blacktail guy do something like that again" Ovie was mumbling to himself with annoyance, as he walked towards the Great Valley. After some time he went through the main entrance to the Valley. He hadn't noticed anybody so far.
"No guards. They surely have a little to fear, dont they?" he kept talking "Well... Still none is in sight. Even the welcome committee is not here. Perhaps I've came at wrong Bright Circle... Oh..." he gasped as at that moment he entered the Great Valley and the view reminded him why it was called Great. There was so many trees with more treestars than anybody could eat and there was more water than one could possibly drink through his entire life. It was so beautiful place, that it would be hard to imagine for someone who had never been to the Great Valley. Ovie of course lived here for a short time, but even now he couldn't help to just standing there and then, staring. Only after several minutes he was able to move again.
"Alright. Now it is a time to look around and do my task" he said it so quietly, almost as he was whispering. He run forward, in direction of the centre of the Valley.

Sierra glared back at Dromaeo. "Maybe you didn't hear me. I said I want them alive, understand? If you so much as spoil one child I will kill you myself. Besides, if children are taken, then the parents will leave the valley in an attempt to rescue them! That will give us the chance to take the valley ourselves!" He then glared back at the open valley. "I get first dibs on Littlefoot. The rest of you search the valley and round up any and all children you find. DO NOT KILL THEM! Now let's go!" With that, Sierra flapped his wings and took flight into the valley. The group behind him followed.

Zaine was the first to see it. A whole group of flyers, sharpteeth, and eggstealers entering the valley and charging towards them. Zaine couldn't move or even speak. He was too shocked by the sight of the huge army. Cera's question broke him out of his stare. "That's what's wrong Cera! RUN!"

Doc saw the group from the Mysterious Beyond enter the valley. "So this is it." He stepped forward. "Littlefoot, stay behind me and your grandparents."

"Huh?" Cera said, still confused. She turned in the direction Zaine was staring and saw the flyers coming their way. "So what? Its just a bunch of.....Oh" Cera suddenly realized what was happening. She turned and began to run, screaming for her father as she went.

Spike looked up at the sky and saw the flyers. He knew immediately that they did not have good intentions began trying shove Ducky into some nearby bushes.

Dromaeo shrugged. "Fine whatever you say. I just want to kill something." He marched along with the incoming group into the valley.
Deimos had long left the group and entered the valley entrance nearest Hyp and Ovius. "I'm taking a desperate gamble but I can't let invasion occur!" he muttered.

Hyp and Ovius looked overhead and saw the flyers. "Damn, that's new." Ovius said.
"Ovius! Stop looking at the sky and get to cover! Those flyers are hostile! Grab a weapon if you have to!" Hyp shouted.
"Screw that! Warn the valley first!" Ovius shot back.
Ovius and Hyp ran towards the elders.
Along the way, they ran into Deimos, who had emerged from one of the passages.
"Agh! Sharptooth!" Ovius shouted.
Deimos grabbed Ovius and gagged him with his hand. "Quiet! You'll alert the invading forces." He let go of Ovius's mouth as soon as he was sure Ovius would keep quiet.
"You...speak... our language?" Ovius panted.
Deimos nodded. "No time for introduction. Warn the leaders that a herd of sharpteeth is heading towards this valley; they are intent on conquest."
Hyp lunged at Deimos, who easily sidestepped his attack. "I am not intent on taking part in this conquest."
"You're a sharptooth!" Hyp shouted back. He picked up a large rock and threw it at Deimos who ducked out of the way.
"I cannot allow this conquest to occur, I will offer my own body to this valley to stop it." Deimos said.
"Hyp, if this sharptooth is right, we have an advantage and can prepare a defense more easily." Ovius said.
"He's...a...sharptooth!" Hyp said between gritted teeth.
"You're coming with us, sharptooth!" Ovius commanded.
Deimos shrugged and followed Ovius and Hyp.
They eventually made their way to Grandpa Longneck.
"Grandfather, this sharptooth we found claims that there is an invading army of sharpteeth and flyers coming into this valley. He also claims that he wants to help us." Ovius said. Despite the fact that Ovius was an adult, he still called Grandpa Longneck "Grandfather" as a respectful title.

Mister Threehorn stood upon a nearby hill, gruffly munching low greenery. Tria's constant fawning over Tricia, as justified as he knew it was, had kept him up half of the night as well. So his delayed notice of the force crossing the gap, despite his wonderful view of it, was certainly understandable. As a matter of fact, he may have gone on munching for quite a bit longer had Cera's voice not carried up from below.
"Gnrrrrr, what now?" His head jerked up.
He stared, dumbfounded for a moment, at the last thing he expected to see. With sudden comprehension, irritation melted into shock. Shock had already begun to give way to fury and horror as the large threehorn barreled down the hill.
"Cera! CERA!"

At first both Longtail and Cyrix were far too shocked to do much of anything...however after a few moments of shock a small grin began to form on Longtail's beak and then it evolved into a full blown smile.
He then laughed loud enough to break Cyrix out of his trance.
"Oh this is going to get wild!" Shouted Longtail with no fear in his voice as he crouched low to the ground and then pushed off running as fast as his feet would take him right towards the oncoming mass of fastbiters and sharpteeth entering the valley.
Cyrix realized he was too slow to stop his nephew, and was about to run off after him, and then remembered Zaine. He turned to the young longneck and said, "Zaine...I need you to listen...go and get help, go NOW before we run out of time!!!" He then pushed Zaine away from him and ran after Longtail hoping he could get there in time to stop his nephew from doing something stupid.

Ducky wasn't sure what was going on but if Spike was pushing her as if to try and hide she wouldn't argue with him. However once both Ducky and Spike were safely inside the bushes and hidden, she turned to Spike and whispered,
"What is wrong Spike? Why are you pushing me? Is something bad about to happen?"

Rinkus laughed insanely as he flew behind Seirra and as he looked down he could see one of those pesky little hatchlings running..but it was in the wrong direction, going towards the group of charging sharpteeth, and he laughed again as he swooped down with frighting speed and in a flash gripped Longtail by his neck and lifted himself and his hostage into the air.
"Look Seirra I got one of 'em! This is too....YOWCH!!" he cried as Longtail bit down on Rinkus' wing causing both to fall into a nearby tree.

Grandpa Longneck could see what Doc meant, and he immediately turned to Littlefoot and said, "Littlefoot go to shelter rock, hurry there is no time for talking!" He then turned to his mate and replied, "Go with him dear, make sure he gets there safe."
He then stood back up and faced Doc. "Well...seems our valley is in trouble once again. I'm glad you came when you did...or we might be in trouble." he said with a light smile.

Ovie had heard the screams and was just turning back to see what is happening, when he was bumped into by some small longneck, who almost knocked him over.
"Uh! Watch it kid!" fastrunner shouted, then he saw that the adult female longneck was following this baby. Ovie gulped. He hoped it is not some kind of overprotective mother or he might get into some serious trouble. After all he was stranger here, so she could see him as a danger to her kid...

Shorty gulped at the sight of invaders, and quickly jumped back, not knowing what to do.
"They're shar-sharpteeth!" He stammered, "We should help them repel those sharpteeth away!"
"But the herd seems tired..." He thought, looking back. That was a critical situation. He couldn't do anything on his own.

Quickly enough, Kyro had reached a ledge over the mountain... from there, he could see large, rock spires, soaring walls of rock that surrounded what seemed to be n incredible paradise for leafeaters... water, grass...
But, what was that he was seeing, entering the valley...?
"Aren't those... sharpteeth...?" He mumbled, trying to decide if he'd continue onward or not. He had been told that it was a marvelous place... but never that it was under attack!
Kyro sped down the rocky cliffs, trying to find an entrance.

Grandma nodded gravely.
"Quickly now, Littlefoot!." She urged as she led the way toward the rocks.

Bron stopped dead at the sight of the invading force, with a sharp intake of breath. The full gravity of the situation had barely set in his mind as he leaped into action.
"Everyone, listen!" He urged his herd over towards the wall of the great valley. "I want you all to stay here until I get back! Stay together and keep your eyes open! Things might not go over so well." Shorty was right: The herd was tired. They were many in number and strong, though, and Bron suspected that the sharpteeth would not risk attacking a group that size after their taxing raid on the valley. He believed that they would be safe. In a softer tone, he added, "Shorty, this could get ugly fast. I want you to stay here with the others."
With that, he was off at full bound. He knew Shorty to be stubborn, and could only hope that his order would be heeded.

Shorty nearly felt insulted.
"No way! I'm not staying back!" He immediatly replied. "Why can't I help too?!"

Kyro walked very slowly when he approached a tunnell that seemed to head into the inside of the valley.
"Maybe it was from there that they went in..." He thought, looking around in search of sharpteeth.

Deimos was looking around nervously. One wrong move could get him killed.
"Grandfather! Hyp and I have found a sharptooth. He's right next to us and claims he wishes to help." Ovius shouted.
Hyp ran to Bron. "Bron, Ovius has found a sharptooth inside the valley. The sharptooth wishes to help us."

Strut and Ozzie marched along with the ground forces.
"I'm not sure if I want to do this." Strut said.
"Strut! Shut up! We're doing this whether you want to or not!" Ozzie shouted.

"Longtail!" Cera yelled as she saw her friend picked up by a flyer that seemed strangely familiar. She watched helplessly as Longtail bit his attacker and they both fell crashing into a tree. "What to do, what to do, what to do" she muttered to herself as she rocked back and forth from nervous energy. She saw Zaine a short distance away and called after him, "Zaine, come on, we have to find help!".

Spike began pointing his nose to the sky while grunting, trying to point out the flyers to Ducky.

"...Okay!" Littlefoot said and looked at his Grandfather and Doc one last time before running off after his grandma.
Just... be careful!

"How much further?" Fry asked Skitter as the tunnel became more verge.
"Not far... yeah here it is!" Skitter replied as a beam of light became visible before them. A small hollow space right below the ground.
They stopped to cathc their breath, when hearing an awful lot of noise.
"Uuum... was that Cera?" Fry asked with a vauge expression.
"Part of it... but the other?" Skitter replied with nervousity.
"Let's go up where we can see..." Fry said and slowly began climbing his way up the hole with Skitter behind him.
Up at the surface again, they we're blinded by the bright circle, and for a second they couldn't see a thing. Fry could only hear alot of voices and the sound of moving feet, rest of the world had somehow stopped. The ground was suddenly shaking under his feet. He needed to see.
He strained his eyes. Something he shouldn't have done.
Fry leaped straight out to the left with a shriek, avoiding getting crushed with only a hairs lenght. For a second he was flying trough the air in slowmotion... then his side hit ground, and Fry tumbled a few metres before stopping. He felt an smell wet grass in his face as his face gor buried in it, and for a while acctually felt good to be up in the valley again. The feelings snapped away when he realized that he had mud in his mouth and he started to caugh it out and spit to the ground. When he looked up, he could see Cera, and some other dinosaurs he didn't recognize...
Flyers crashing into a tree...
Fry blinked and shook his head. ! Skitter !
Quickly he turned to see if Skitter was with him, and to his relief he was. On the other side of the hole they came from, he had jumped to the left. Skitter nodded back. He was fine.
Then Fry turned around to see what nearly stepped on them, his angry little eyes landed on a young, green longneck. He recognized him as one of Blueberry's friends. Zaine. Suprised, he got up on his feet.

More steps were heard nearby.
Kyro's look turned to his back, and he could have sworn that more of those foes were coming.
Run! He thought and immediatly passed on to action, running into the tunnel without hesitating.
MUST... REACH... VALLEY! He kept shouting in his mind so the speed at which he now ran wouldn't abandon him.

After seeing that sharpteeth were invading the Valley, Ovie did the most reasonable thing to do: he tried to stay away from them. He was walking through some forest when he nearly bumped again on someone. This time it was two kids, purple sharptooth and pink fastrunner (Ruby and Chomper). Ovie was a little surpised about finding a small biter in Great Valley, but he hadnt a time to think about it.
"Oh... Hello... I wouldnt go that way if I were you, kids. The army of nasty looking sharpteeth is going this way!" he said loudly.

Cyrix had seen what happened to his nephew after telling Zaine to flea, but knowing taking on all the oncoming sharpteeth to be suicuide he turned and followed after Cera and Zaine, and as he did, he stopped and looked down to see two tinysaurs (Skitter and Fry).
"Hello little ones, you two shouldn't be up here...it isn't safe."

Longtail and Rinkus were lying in a tree both stunned after their fall out of the sky. Longtail however recoverd first and realizing where he was and who was in the tree with him reacted faster than he thought he would, and using his tail smacked Rinkus out of the tree with a snap, and quickly jumped out of the tree to follow the older and larger flyer to the ground.
Rinkus landed on his back with a "oof" and tried to get up when he felt his body being pinned by something small. He opened his eyes, and was startled to see the child he'd grabbed before falling out of the sky was now holding him to the ground.
"Let me up ya little brat!" he cried out
Longtail scoffed and looked Rinkus in the eye and made sure to let the larger flyer see his right eye change color as he bared his teeth.
"You dare to order me around?! Do you know what I can do to you?! If you so much as breath the wrong way...I'll end you...and I won't even blink twice about doing such a thing either!" he said aloud.
"Now why are you here?" he asked as he tried to calm down.

Ducky looked and tried not to squeal in fear as she could now see all the sharpbeaked flyers in the sky and seemed to be attacking other valley residents. "Oh...no, no, no! This is very bad...it is, it is." she whispered aloud.

Grandpa Longneck watched as his mate and grandson disappeared around a bend.
He then turned to Doc and asked, "So, how do we handle this problem? We can clearly fight, but I doubt we'll win."

Doc sighed. "There's too many to fight all of them, but we need to hold them off as much as possible so the others can hide. Get ready, because here comes the first fastbiters!" With that, a pack of fastbiters quickly approached, all ready to feast. Doc stood firm and prepped his tail. "Things never change. It's a good thing sharpteeth are still not that smart."

Zaine watched in horror as another flyer picked up Longtail. "LONGTAIL!" he screamed out. Then he noticed the two of them plummeting to a tree. Cera then began calling out to him, and Zaine didn't know what to do. Cyrix told me to run, but I can't leave Longtail! He then nodded. "Cera head for that tree! Longtail needs us!" As they ran, he stopped as he felt like he stepped on something. He looked down and saw two tinysaurus's looking up at him. He recongnized one as Skitter, as Littlefoot had told him before, but the other he hadn't recognized. "Skitter! Are you guys ok?"

Sierra noticed Rinkus grab a child flyer, but then the two went plummeting into a tree. Sierra considered going back to help him, but he decided to leave him be. "Rinkus can handle himself, at least he better be able to." He kept flying through the skies until he caught a glimpse of his prey. A small longneck child running near a larger one. Sierra immediately remembered him. "Littlefoot, you are mine!" With that, he dove towards the ground ready to grab the longneck.

"Just stay safe, Shorty!" Bron shouted back. He almost overlooked Hyp's small form, but stumbled to a halt a close few feet in front of him.
"I- but- wait, what? A sharptooth? Aren't the sharpteeth invading the valley, though?"

Mister Threehorn quickly spotted Cera and a few others heading in a direction that was not directly away from the invaders, which was the chief thing that be bothered to notice about it.
"HEY! Get away from there! Just what are you all playing at?!" He shouted as he bounded up beside them.

Cera had began chasing after Zaine without really thinking, but her fathers voice caused her to stop. She looked back at her father and than over to Zaine, noticing that he was now joined by Skitter and another tinysaurus. Cera was too scared to think straight, but she had to make a decision fast. "Daddy! Come help us!" she yelled back to her father before turning to follow Zaine. She had to help longtail, she couldn't just leave him.

Spike looked out from the other side of the bush and saw Littlefoot running with his grandmother on the other side of a large clearing. The spike tail then looked to the sky and saw a flyer closing in on his friend. He began to make a series of loud groans, desperately trying to warn his friend.

Hyp shrugged. "Well, that what he says."

Suddenly, an enemy flyer dove from the sky and tried to fly off with Ovius.
Deimos reacted instinctively and grabbed Ovius, and pulled him back to the ground. The flyer was overpowered by Deimos and crashed to the ground in front of him.
"You'll pay for this Deimos." the flyer spat.
Deimos beckoned towards the flyer. "Bring it on."
The flyer leapt at Deimos and slashed him in the face, drawing blood.
Deimos grabbed the flyer and tossed him to the ground with a loud thud.
The flyer rolled away from a stomp aimed at his head and tried to get back onto his feet but Deimos tackled him and pinned him to the ground.
Deimos received several bites to the neck in the process. He headbutted the flyer, dazing him, and grabbed his neck with both hands.
"See you in hell." Deimos whispered before he strangled the flyer. After the flyer was dead, Deimos threw the body aside andturned to Ovius. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Ovius panted. "Why did you do that?"
"I told you, I'm joining forces with you." Deimos replied. Now, take me to the leader.
Ovius nodded and ran off, with Deimos following, to where Bron and Hyp were.
After several minutes, Deimos and Ovius arrived next to Bron and Hyp.
"Bron, this sharptooth killed a flyer who was trying to kidnap me." Ovius said.

Cyrix looked up at both Zaine and Cera after addressing the two Tinysaurs.
"I thought I told you two to get out of here and get help!" he didn't mean to yell, but this was rather stressed at the moment. But as he looked up again he spotted Topsy coming to their aid and he sighed.
"Good to see a friendly face Mr. Threehorn, take these young ones including the Tinysaurs and get them somewhere safe! I'll go back for Longtail and help him!" he said as he turned around and prepared to run off...he heard a familiar sound, like a stick hitting a rock.

Longtail was about to ask another question to Rinkus when he heard voices he recognized and as he turned his head to look which turned out to be a big mistake.
Rinkus was getting tired of this kid trying to call the shots. So when the child flyer turned his head to look away Rinkus thinking quickly picked up a stick and using all the strength he could muster on his back, which turns out was alot smacked Longtail off of him and sent the child rolling away and through a bush.
"Take that ya brat! No one stops Rinkus!" he shouted in triumph.
Longtail rolled for several more feet before coming to a stop against something soft. He looked up with blurry vision and he rolled to his feet and growled thinking it was a threat when in fact it was Zaine!

Grandpa Longneck knew Doc was right and he raised his tail into an attack position and said, "I am beginning to wonder if Sharpteeth have any brains at all?" He then swung his tail as one of the fastbiters tired to aim a bite at the elders neck.

Ducky could see the same thing Spike could, it was Littlefoot and he was in danger so she did the only thing she could immediately think of she ran forward out the bush she was hiding in and screamed at the top of her lungs, "LITTLEFOOT LOOK OUT!!! A FLYER IS TRYING TO GET YOU!!!"

Ruby and Chomper stared at the fastrunner that had appeared before them. It took a while for his message to pass trough. Chomper was the first to break the silence.
"Sharpteeth attacking the valley?! Where?" he said with a mix of suprise and fear.
Ruby had never seen this dinosaur before, but he seemed sure of himself. And if sharpteeth attacked the valley, it would be an advantage to stay together, the more people the better.
"We must find the others!" she said determinately. "I think we had better reach for Shelter Rock!"
She turned to the newcomer.
"My name is Ruby, and this here is Chomper. I think all of us do best in staying together. Do you know where the sharpteeth are now?" she said rapidly. If they knew were the sharpteeth were, they would lose the risk of running into them.
And they had no time to lose.

Fry ran over to Skitter and helped him up on his feet.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I think so..." Skitter said and checked his body for any injuries.
Together they walked up to Zaine and Mr. Threehorn.
"Hey Zaine! What's going on and who are they!?" said Skitter and placed himself next to Zaine's, nervously observing the battle between the group of flyers.

"Huh!?"
Littlefoot stopped as he heard Ducky's yell.
He turned around and gazed with fear as he saw a large flyer, and two claw-filled taloons diving towards him from the sky.
He recognized his attacker at once.
It was Sierra!

Doc whipped his tail out at the flyer that tried to attack Littlefoot. "Back off coward." The flyer shook his head and bolted the other way. "Littlefoot keep running!" Doc yelled back. He then whipped his tail at a fastbiter that lunged towards him. More fastbiters appeared from all sides, but Doc kept swinging his tail in every direction to push them away. Persistent buggers.

Sierra kept flying in the opposite direction after the longneck hit him with his tail. "Why did that damn longneck have to ruin it? I was so close!" Then he noticed something else strange. Rinkus was still fighting that younger flyer, and some more children grouped around him. One of them was the threehorn girl from before, but there were two tinysaurus's, a rainbowface, a larger threehorn, and a green longneck. Sierra quickly thought about it and then doev for the group. He knew who his target was, and he was not going to be denined it any longer."

Zaine looked down at Skitter and Fry. "The Great Valley is under attack. All of a sudden all these sharpteeth, flyers, and egg stealers appeared out of nowhere! We have to find our friends and make sure they are safe" Zaine then shook his head towards Cyrix. "We can't leave Longtail behind! He's our friend, and he would do the same for us!" Then he noticed Cera's dad approaching. Oh great. Now what? Zaine knew the adults would try and stop him, but he made up his mind. He wasn't going to leave. "I don't care what you say! I'm going to help Longtail!" Then he felt something roll against his feet. He glanced down and saw Longtail lying on the ground. "Longtail! Are you ok?"
Suddenly, Zaine felt something grab him from behind and lift him off the ground. He yelled out as a flyer staggered with him into the sky and away from the group. "Let me go you creep!" The flyer looked down at him.
"Considering your situation right now you little squirt, I would choose your words a little more carefully!" The flyer then turned his head to the side. "Rinkus! Help me carry this one!"

Rinkus was quick to see what Sierra had planned and laughed again as he took flight determined to help his friend.
"Well at least we got one!" he commented with a chuckle.
Longtail however gave an incredibly loud screech as he flapped his wings and took after the two kidnappers that had his friend and as he caught up he attempted to dive bomb the duo and immediately attacked both Rinkus and Sierra.
"Put him down safely and you two may not DIE!" he screamed at them

"Thanks Doc!" Littlefoot yelled back at his savior.
But then he heard a yell, and saw two flyers emerge from the ground.
Rinkus and Sierra! And they had Zaine!
Littlefoot made a quick decision.
He looked at his grandma and hoped she would understand.
With that, he started to run after the two flyers.
I'm sorry grandma... But Zaine's my friend! I got to do something!
It didn't take long before he ended up at Skitter, Fry, Cyrix and the others.
He saw Longtail's attempt to set Zaine free, but then realized another danger.
"Hey everyone! Hurry! If Zaine falls we must catch him!" he yelled out.

Cyrix noticed Littlefoots arrival and nodded his head as he replied, "You are right Littlfoot we have to make sure Zaine lands safely if Longtail is able to get him free. But what should we use? I'm running out of ideas." he admitted to himself aloud.

"I'll keep myself safe..." Shorty muttered, taking a few steps back and disappearing behind the herd's members.
"...After finding Littlefoot." He completed.
When Shorty saw he was far enough from Bron and not visible behind the herd, he swiftly turned around and ran away.

Finally stepping grassy soil, Kyro kept running across the plains, not even noticing whatever could be in his way, including trees, rocks, and even other dinosaurs.

"Maybe a pile of leafs..." Skitter begun.
"Not enough time. And it wouldn't be enough to soften his fall enough..." Fry interrupted him.
"Your friend is right Skitter..." Littlefoot nodded.
"No... we need something better... and fast!"

Doc noticed Littlefoot running away. "What's he doing?" Then he looked up and noticed two flyers carrying away Zaine. Oh no. They're here for the children. He then looked over towards Grandpa Longneck. "It's a setup! They're after the children!"

Sierra noticed Rinkus coming to help him. "Perfect timing! This one's heavy. Let's head back to the meeting area." Then he noticed the flyer child Rinkus was fighting earlier approaching them, and at great speed. Sierra looked back and yelled, "Don't come any closer or we'll drop him!"

Zaine noticed Longtail coming in. "Longtail! Be careful!" Unfortunately, Zaine caught a quick glimpse of the drop the flyer was threatening, and he gulped. That's one long way down.

"If we could find more flyers of our own, they could catch Zaine if he fell and bring him down safely" Cera suggested.

Spike had sprinted after Ducky as soon as she had left the bushes. Flyers had grabbed her before, and he wasn't letting that happen again. When he caught up to her, he grabbed her in his mouth and flung her in the air, ensuring that she landed safely on his back. Spike continued to run but changed direction to the same spot he saw Littlefoot running to. Eventually he caught up and joined the others.

"They are that way" Ovie said pointing in direction from he had come "At least those I've seen so far. And my name is Ovie" he added.

"<I like this place>" Claw said aloud, standing in the middle of medium cave, he and others found in Great Wall. It had two entrances: one leading to outside and Mysterious Beyond; second was actually a gap of the tunnel that was going up high, almost to the peak of the mountain. It ended with with a ledge, from where one could observe the whole Hidden Valley. Unfortunately the fastbiters couldn't use it to get inside the Valley, but apart of that it was almost perfect place to live in. Amber the fastrunner told Claw about possible location of that cave and they needed so little time for finding it, that fastbiter's leader could send some members of his pack at small hunting party. He stayed in their new home. He wasn't really hungry and besides someone had to watch for Amber. The female was a bit... no... she was very much concerned about Ovie, who went to the Valley for spying. Now she was at the top, watching the leafeaters 'paradise'. As if it would help her mate come back safely Claw thought.
Then he heard shouts from above. It was Amber, but he couldn't enderstand what she was yellling about, however it sounded urgent, so Claw run up the tunnel. After a few or more seconds he arrived at the ledge.
"<What is that commotion about?>" he asked Amber, who was looking down at some far away place in Valley.
"<Look there!>" she said, pointing with her hand. Claw followed fastrunner sight and then he saw in the distance army of sharptteeth, obviously invading the home of flatteeth.
"<Let my teeth fall off>" Claw whispered shocked by the sight before him...

Longtail stopped trying to attack at the threat of dropping Zaine.
"you two make me sick to be a flyer...to think our own kind would stoop this low!" Then he had an idea.
"Put him down safely in a tree and you two can have me...I won't fight, I wont' resist...I'll follow your every order...I am half sharptooth anyway...my loyalties tend to be....mismatched most of the time anyway...just let him go and I'll join the invasion." he said with grim determination in his voice.

Grandpa Longneck was heart broken to see the children being tageted by the flyers. He charged forward pushing and crushing several fastbiters under his feet hoping to reach the flyers in time to save Zaine.

Doc watched Grandpa Longneck head towards the others. "Well that's that." He began to follow him closely, whipping away any fastbiters.

Sierra examined Longtail very closely. Something seemed truthful about his offer, but if there was one thing he learned in his life it was never trust his enemies, especially children. Then he came up with an idea. "You throw a hard bargain kid. Fine then. I'll trade you for him." The two flyers slowly approached Longtail, but then stopped right before him.

"No don't do it!" Zaine yelled. "Don't even think about joining them!" Then when they stopped, Zaine became confused. What the heck is going on? Then he noticed something strange. Another group of flyers was approaching them from below, and they weren't friends. He then realized what was happening. "Longtail look out!" he screamed, but it was too late. At that moment, he felt the grip on his back release, and Zaine began to fall. He yelled out as he dropped through the air, but then only a few seconds later, he was caught again but the other flyers. It was a setup. "Longtail!" Zaine called out as the flyers turned and headed the other way.

As Zaine fell and was eventually caught, Sierra took the time to lunge towards Longtail. "Big mistake twerp!" He uppercut Longtail under the chin and then body slammed him. As Longtail staggered back, he signaled Rinkus and began to bolt in the opposite direction with the other flyers. Mission accomplished.

"Littlefoot, be careful! Stay near me!" Grandma shouted, shaken by the close call.

Bron was very much perplexed.
"Uh, well, I guess it could be a ploy, but why bother with cunning in the midst of a successful ambush? I mean, I don't know- There's no time to worry about it now! We have to help the others!"

Mister Threehorn uttered a terrifying growl at Zaine's abduction, thick with rage.
"Why, those... those fiends!" He tossed his head towards the sky in vain, powerless to help.
"Kids, stay by me, whatever you do! And if you see anymore worthless sharp-toothed flyers headed this way, say something!"
He made a quick move forward and flung aside a stray fastbiter with his horns.

Ovius and Hyp ran off to fetch Deimos.
"Okay sharptooth, I'll trust you since you saved my life." Ovius said.
"The name is Deimos." Deimos replied. "And I will continue to assist this valley."
"My name is Ovius. Now we need to help the others. I don't give a damn what others will say but you're coming with us!"
Deimos shrugged and headed off with Hyp and Ovius.
After several minutes, they arrived near Bron.
"Bron! What is our assignment for now?" Hyp asked.
Deimos was looking around for some enemy flyers. He spotted some fast-biters in a bush.
"Ovius! There's some fast-biters nearby." Deimos shouted.

Strut grabbed a young Fast-Runner, who started screaming.
"Shut up!" Ozzie shouted, grabbing the Fast-Runner and attempting to gag it.

Doc watched as the two flyers carried Zaine off. "Damnit they got one." He then spun around and whipped another fastbiter to the side. He then noticed Bron and Shorty approaching them. "Bron protect Shorty! They're here to kidnap the children, and they got Zaine!"

"What do we do? We can't just let them have him!" Cera exclaimed.

Longtail had known from the start that this was a setup, and even knowing that he'd still allowed Sierra to tackle him out of the air, fortunately for the young flyer he did what he always did when falling, he landed on his feet, albeit he had to roll to keep from hurting himself.
But as he stood up he immediately gave chase once again in the air, but as he gained altitude he inhaled for a moment and then let loose with a blood curdling, cold hearted, almost unreal and primal roar that echoed through the valley, followed by one word,
"DIE!!!!!" as he caught up to one of the flyers who was carrying Zaine and attempted to rip out its throat.

Grandpa Longneck looked horrified as he noticed a set of flyers carrying away one of the children, but as he noticed Longtail giving chase he cringed at the sound of his roar, and said aloud, "Such aggression, I do hope he doesn't do anything foolish." He then tail whipped another fastbiter out of his way.

Cyrix was about to reply to Cera's question when his blood ran cold at the sound of Longtail's feral screech.
"This...is bad. Not just for the flyers, but...Longtail too." he stuttered his voice full of confusion and fear.

Rinkus couldn't help but laugh as Longtail was tackled by Sierra and the duo began to get away with their prize, but he had a bad feeling when he heard a roar that couldn't have come from any of their allies. He turned his head just in time to see one of the flyers being attacked by the persistent little blue flyer, who had once again tried to interfere.
"Grrrr...why won't you die ya little gnat?!" he exclaimed as he flew forward to smack Longtail away from the group.

After a few moments Claw regained his composure and said:
"<That's the perfect moment for hunting! All the Valleyers are busy fighting off other sharpteeh, so they won't notice when we go in now.>"
"<You thinking about hunting in such moment?!>" Amber asked shocked and enraged at the same time "<Dont you care that something bad might happen to Ovie?!>" she shouted.
"<Calm down, Amber. I was just about to say that we are also going to save him when we get there>" Claw responded, trying to choose his words carefully "<Now... Do you remember where this secret tunnel is located?>" he asked.
"<Yes>" the fastrunner asnwered shortly.
"<Then go there and I will caught up with you, after I find the others>" Claw started running down the tunnel to the cave. The female fastrunner looked once again at Great Valley, before she run after sharptooth.
"<And how you are going to gather all of them in time? They might be everywhere in Mysterious Beyond!>" she exclaimed.
"<I have a plan>" Claw said, still running.
"<That is not the answer>" Amber argued. They were now at the cave's exit
"<Then I will answer in this way: do you know how far roar of the fastbiter can be heard from?>" Claw asked smiling. When they were outside he roared so loudly, that Amber had to cover her ears. The noise Claw made echoed from the mountains few times. Then the peace settled again in that place for a moment, before... Claw and Amber heard another roar, muffled by the distance...
"<You see? It worked>" fastbiter said "<Go to the tunnel now. I will wait for others>" he added. Amber just nodded and run away.
"Oh... My ears... And I thought I heard everything" she said to herself in her mind.

Doc's voice threw Bron off for a second, but everything fell into place shortly.
"Just try to fight them back! And watch out for the flyers!" He answered Hyp. A swift strike of his tail leveled a few fastbiters at range. His inward panic towards Littlefoot being a possible target would have to wait, seeing as he had no idea where his son currently was.

Hyp nodded and ran back to Ovius and Deimos.
"Okay, Deimos, Ovius, we're to engage any enemies nearby." Hyp said.
As he spoke a group of fast-biters leapt from the bushes.
"Deimos, you traitor! You shall pay for this!" a fast-biter said in sharptooth.
"Bring it on!" Deimos replied.
The fast-biter leapt at Deimos who grabbed him and threw him aside.
Hyp and Ovius waited for the fast-biters to attack.
Ovius grabbed a stick and tossed it to Hyp.

After gathering his pack. After finding Amber at the entrance to the secret tunnel leading to Hidden Valley and after going through it, Claw for the first time entered the Valley...
"<It doesnt look so impressive from the ground level.>" Shadow stated looking around "< It is still big though.>" she added.
"<That's what she said.>" Blacktail sneered, making Shadow gave him yet another frown.
"<Focus, guys!>" Claw growled "<We have a prey to hunt... and fastrunner to find.>" he added hastily, remembering that Amber is with them. He sniffed the air and he caught the weak scent of Ovie. He pointed in that direction for Amber.
"<Your mate is in this way. After you found him, come back here and we will meet you here later.>" he said.
"<Um... Chief? Dont you think she would need some escort? With all these other sharpteeth running about, she can find herself in danger>" Shadow stated. Claw gave her sideglance, but he had to admit that she was right about it. He sighed before he turned to one fastbiter:
"<Windbite!>" he called to green fastbiter without any stripes. Claw knew he was very fast, but not so strong when it came to fight, but he was surely a decent member of the pack "<You will go with Amber. Your task is to protect her and after you find Ovie, bring them here and then you can caugh up with us.>"
"<How come I gotta go looking for fastrunner?>" Windbite asked grumpily. It was another Windbite's feature: he didn't like when one was giving him a special task, but he was a good fellow when none demanded too much of him.
"<Because you're dependable and known for doing your best.>" Claw responded "<Does that answer satisfy you?>" he asked a bit sarcastically. Windbite nodded, but under his breath he whispered: "<I have to start doing my worst someday>".
"<Alright, guys. Lets move out!>" Claw exclaimed and so they scattered. Amber and Windbite went looking for Ovie and the rest started their hunting...

Sierra watched as the young flyer attacked one of his troops. "You're starting to really annoy me!" He rushed to a nearby tree and tore a small branch off. He then sped towards the flyer as he killed his troop. The young longneck started to fall again, but Sierra swung the branch at the flyer. Whether it hit him or not didn't matter, but he saw the flyer step back a little. He then zoomed back towards the longneck.

Zaine saw Longtail coming in full force and squinted after the scream. "Longtail be careful!" He then saw Longtail knock out the flyer carrying him, but then the other one let go. Zaine yelled out as he fell, but then he felt himself get grabbed again. The same flyer from before caught him. "Put me down you freak!" The flyer looked down at him.
"One more pipe and I will seriously kill you!"

"Littlefoot! Hey, where are you?!" Shorty shouted, trying to find the other longneck.
Shorty had barely left the surroundings of the herd, but it was enough to see around.
"Don't tell me he was taken away..."

Longtail gave a cocky grin as he moved from the swing Sierra had tried to use against him. He then laughed aloud as he heard Zaine and Sierra banter, and he dove in once again, and this time landed squarely on the sharpbeaks back and dug his claws in as he bit down with his beak and what few teeth he had and tired to snap the other flyers neck.

Cyrix finally finding his voice turned to Cera and the others including Fry and Skitter and replied, "Come along then! We have to catch up to them. There's no telling what might happen if they drop Zaine or injure Longtail!" he then took the time to run ahead keeping an eye on the group of flyers as they tried to escape.

Deimos, Ovius and Hyp had killed the small ambush squad of fast-biters.
Suddenly, Ovius saw Sierra and Longtail fighting. "Guys, it's Longtail and oh no! Sierra's carrying Zaine!"
"What do we do?" Hyp asked.
"Simple, chase them down. Deimos come with us, maybe you can 'persuade' Sierra to give Zaine back."
Deimos nodded. "Sounds like a plan."
Deimos, Ovius and Hyp gave chase to Sierra.

Fastbiters were going thorugh some bushes, when Claw saw a clearing straight ahead. He looked out carefully, trying to stay hidden from eyes of any leafeater that could be there. He noticed a small lake and near it was standing one adult swimmer with whole group of little ones around her. Some distance away, on right, another adult duckbill was walking here and there in a patrolling manner. Claw turned to others who also were watching the flatteeth.
"<Alright. Here is the plan. We are going to hunt down that male swimmer. Shadow, you, Scar and Jumper will go on him from behind, when the rest of us will strike head on. We wil wait a while to give you a time to sneak there>" he said pointing at some bush near swimmer's patrolling trail. It was a simple plan, so there was a few things that could go wrong because of predators actions. Shadow nodded and walked silently away, followed by two fastbiters...

Sierra felt a rush of pain surge through his body and he screamed out. Unfortunately, this caused him to let go of his longneck hostage. As the child fell, he landed in a soft brush of leaves. "Damnit all!" He shook off Longtail and bolted in the opposite direction. "Everybody retreat for now! Pull back!"

Zaine fle the grip on his back release, and once again he started to fall. This time though he landed in some soft leaves with a thud. Well that wasn't fun. He rolled off to the side, sore from the fall, and then watched as the flyer made his escape. Seeing Longtail was fine, he called out to him. "Longtail come back! They're running away! Let them!" Zaine then noticed Shorty approaching him. "Shorty! They're backing off!"

Doc managed to see Zaine land safely and sighed in relief. "Thank the bright circle he's ok." He then noticed Littlefoot was still near him. "You ok kid?"

Deimos, Ovius and Hyp ran over to where Zaine fell as Sierra retreated.
"Zaine! Are you all right?" Ovius asked.
Deimos looked at the retreating flyers. "This is not over. We must ensure that they do not catch us off guard again."

Dromaeo signaled for the group he was with to retreat.
One of the sickleclaws threw a Great Valley Runner, whom he was interrogating, aside and followed Dromaeo out the nearest entrance.

Ozzie and Strut left a Great Valley Fast-Runner, whom they had knocked down and were beating with their fists and feet, for dead as they, too left the Great Valley.

Longtail knew Zaine was safe...but every single fiber of his being was telling him to chase after those flyers and rip them to shreds...and he followed his instincts even though he heard Zaine tell him not to. With a flap of his wings he was chasing after Rinkus and Sierra with fury and vengeance in his eyes.
Rinkus felt as if he and Sierra were being follow and turned his head to check and almost screamed in fright as he saw Longtail approaching from behind.
"Uhhh Sierra, we have a bit...a bit of a problem!" he stammered still looking at Longtail

"I'm fine, thanks Doc." said Littlefoot and nodded.
He was just about to walking off and aid Zaine, when something pushed him on his legs.
He looked down and found Skitter gently poking him, and he was worried. He could see it clearly.
"Skitter, what's wrong?" Littlefoot said and lowered his head down to the tinysaurus' level.
It took Skitter a breath to talk clearly.
"It's Fry! He's not here, he's gone!"
Littlefoot shuddered. He quickly called up to Doc.
"Doc, did you see a tinysaurus wander away from here? He's Skitter's friend!"

Sierra looked back when Rinkus told him they had a problem, and he saw the child flyer bolting towards him. Persistent little child. He spun around and prepared for impact.

Doc looked down at Littlefoot and smiled. "Well that's good. That one flyer was after you, so I didn't know if he got you or not." Then he looked around. "Well the Tiny dinos are very small, so it's hard for me to see from up here, but I haven't seen him around. I sure hope he wasn't taken." Then he looked up and noticed Longtail still chasing the flyers. What the hell is he doing? He started storming towards Longtail and yelled out, "Longtail stop! Get back here now!"

Zaine was following Doc as he was running after Longtail. "Longtail, don't let it take over you! Don't fight!"

Claw waited long enough to give Shadow time to get to her position, before he gave signal to attack. Fastbiters charged almost simultaneously at surprised swimmer from two sides. It was a short fight, after which the duckbill lied dead at ground. As for mother and her children, they run away quickly at the first sing of sharpteeth. None could accuse female swimmer for being coward, as she did what what was best to protect the hatchlings. Everybody would the same...
"<This is our first prey in the Hidden Valley. That's a good start.>" Claw said.
"<Yeah, yeah. Great job everybody. Now it is time to eat!>" Blacktail was surely eager to have a bite, what was evident to all by hearing his impatient sentence and seeing how quickly he leaned over a dead swimmer. Claw just rolled his eyes and gave a nod to others to start their feast.

"Hey! They're going already?! I wanted to show them how its done!" Shorty taunted, then realized what was really going on. "Where is he going...?" He questioned himself, watching Longtail flying away.
He didn't take long to realize that the others were leaving after him either.
"Wait for me!" He shouted, trying to keep up with the rest.

Finnaly Windbite and Amber found Ovie and a fastbiter run to him, not noticing that the male fastruner wasnt alone.
"<So here you are, Ovie! I am glad we didnt have to look for you throughout all Hidden Va...>" he paused as he saw two kids: sharptooth and fastrunner. One thought came across his mind: I chose a very bad time to pop out Amber on the other hand, didn't care much about presence of others, as she run to her mate and hugged him strongly.
"I was afraid that something bad happened to you, when I saw these other sharpteeth invading. I am happy that you are alive" she exclaimed cheerfully.
"I am glad I am alive too, but could you let me have a breath?" Ovie asked weakly, as he was suffocating "You are hugging me too much."
"Oh... Sorry." Amber said confused, as she released Ovie from her grip.

Cera was walking over to where Zaine had fallen when she noticed Longtail was still chasing the fliers. He's more thickheaded than I am she thought to herself with a chuckle.

As Sierra stopped so did Rinkus, however Rinkus was scared out of his mind. He didn't know what to expect or if Sierra had anything planned.
When Longtail saw Sierra turn around he gave a dark laugh as he stopped flying as well, and just stared at the two flyers. If looks could kill both Rinkus and Sierra would've been dead already, but Longtail didn't attack he just flapped his wings and stared at the two opposing flyers with his one yellow and one pink eye.
He also heard both Doc and Zaine call out to him, and for a single moment Longtail's eyes showed concern for his friends but that moment passed and he continued to stare down Rinkus and Sierra with a dark glare.
Cyrix skid to a stop right beside Zaine as he noticed Longtail stopped flying.
"I think he heard you boys...now if we can just get him to come down...we'll be all the better for it." he said aloud wondering how exactly they were going to coax Longtail out of the air.

Deimos, Hyp and Ovius were following Zaine and Doc. Above them Longtail, Sierra and Rinkus were squaring off.
Hyp looked up at Longtail. "What is he doing?"
"Longtail! Get the hell away from Sierra and Rinkus!" Ovius shouted.
Deimos analyzed the situation for a few minutes then he turned to Doc, Zaine and Hyp and Ovius. "Okay, I just thought of a plan. It's crazy but it seems like we have no choice."
"Well, go for it Deimos." Ovius said.
"If we can get Sierra and Rinkus to chase someone on the ground instead. You maybe able to convince your friend to land since it seems like those two flyers are making him aggressive." Deimos said.
"I'm not sure." Hyp said. He then turned to Zaine, Cyrix and Doc. "Do you approve of Deimos's plan?"

Cyrix gave a deep sigh as he looked to the sky seeing his nephew in such a state.
"I suppose we may not have a choice in the matter as it may be the only way to get him down..unless someone would like to throw a rock at his head...that seems to work most of the time as well." he said with a serious tone, but a small smile on his face.

"I guess so." Deimos said. He then turned skyward and threw a pebble at Sierra.
"Hey Sierra! Pick on someone your own age you coward!" Deimos roared. He then turned to Ovius, Hyp and Cyrix. "Once Sierra and Rinkus chase me; try and talk your friend down."
Ovius and Hyp nodded.

"Oh, that would be so much fun too" Cera said with a large grin across her face.

Sierra felt the pebble smack him in the side of the face. He shook his head and looked down to find Deimos. "Deimos you backstabbing sharptooth! I'll see you dead for this!" With that, he twisted his body and lunged for the sharptooth, giving him chase.

While Deimos led Sierra away, Zaine felt it was the time to call Longtail back. We have to get him down from there before he goes completely beserk! Zaine shouted out to his friend. "Longtail! Please come down! You don't have to fight anymore! Don't lose control! We need you!"
Meanwhile, Doc started launching rocks of his own with his tail towards Rinkus. "Get away from the kid you coward!"

"Littlefoot! I'm so glad you're safe!" Bron looked around, and just happened to spot-
"Shorty! I thought I- Ah, but he's alright... No harm done."
He would have attended to the children, but his attention turned to Doc's barrage of Rinkus.
"Now there's an idea!"
Bron endeavored to pitch in by aiming a few rocks of his own at the flyer.

Though Mr. Threehorn was raring to argue about standing in the open for Longtail's sake, the battle seemed to be going favorably, so he let the matter lie for the time being. In addition, he was keeping busy as a buffer between the children and any stray sharpteeth unfortunate enough to come near.

Cyrix sighed as he heard Zaine call out to Longtail.
"If you really want his attention Zaine, this is the best way to do it." Cyrix stated as he picked up a rock and chucked it scoring a hit on Longtail's head. "Two points" Cyrix whispered to himself.
Longtail felt the rock hit his head, and he blinked for a moment and then looked around almost appearing confused as to what was happening. He then looked down, and then back to Rinkus and then he smiled as he did a mid-air backflip and sailed down and landed in front of Zaine.
"You're okay right? Those fools didn't hurt you did they?" he asked more concerned with his friends safety they the lump on his head.
Rinkus scowled at the longnecks throwing rocks at him, and he quickly turned and flew in the opposite direction and away from the group of elders. "This is so bad..." he muttered to himself as he flew.

"You want to see me dead?" Deimos taunted. "Catch me first!" He then dodged Sierra's lunge and took off at full speed away from the group.
"Deimos is incredibly brave, foolish but brave." Hyp said. He then turned his attention to Longtail. "Longtail, are you okay?"
Ovius tried to embrace Longtail. "You're okay!"

Longtail laughed as he felt Ovius embrace him in a hug. "Yeah, guys...I'm okay, I'm okay. I kinda lost myself for a moment...sorry if I scared anyone." he said with a sad smile.
Cyrix just sighed and patted his nephew on the head.

Zaine nodded. "Yeah I'm ok Longtail. I'm just glad that you aren't hurt. You had me worried that you were........... well............. it doesn't matter though. Thank you for saving me."
Doc waited for Deimos to pass him, but when Sierra closed in on him he planted his four feet firmly on the ground. "It's time you left birdbrain!" With that he swung his mighty tail at the fluer.

Sierra was flung back in the air as the longneck's tail smacked him in the face. He flipped a few times before regaining his balance and shook his head. "You won't be so smug later Deimos! I'll kill you slowly for betraying us!" With that he turned around and caught up to Rinkus. "Mission failed for now. We regroup for the attack now!"

Deimos turned around and ran back to where the group was. "Come back and die!" he shouted at Sierra.
He then turned to Longtail. "I see you are healthy."
"Yes, Deimos, Longtail is fine." Ovius said, squeezing Longtail. "Aren't you Longtail?"
"We'd better prepare in case they come back." Hyp said.

Longtail smiled as his friends all gathered around.
"Yeah I'm fine Deimos. See..not a scratch on me." He then turned to Zaine with a sad frown. "I'm sorry if I worried you, but when I saw they were trying to take you out of the valley...I just...I dunno, lost.....something. I'm not even sure what it was....but it was lost. I'll try to not let it happen again." he said with honesty in his voice.
Cyrix had to admit seeing his nephew being honest with his friends and happy even now was a relief. "I'm glad you're feeling better Longtail, but Hyp is right we need to be ready for when they come back...and that's important!"

Rinkus scowled at Sierra.
"Well no duh it was a failure...they seemed to be better prepared than we thought. So now what do we do?" he asked

Ozzie was cursing under his breath. "Damn it! We didn't know they'd be this tough!"
Strut shrugged. "Brute force isn't always the answer."
Dromaeo, who was picking his teeth, decided to join them. "It is if you apply enough of it!"

Deimos thought a moment. "I will patrol the outskirts of the valley."
"Um, Deimos, what happens if you get caught by one of Sierra's troops?" Ovius asked.
Deimos grinned. "They'll have to fight me. And I can hold my own in a fight." He then turned to Cyrix. "I never got your name but I'm sure you got mine; I am Deimos."
"More than hold your own it seems." Hyp asked. "I guess we should prepare by stepping up patrols?"

Cyrix nodded again at Hyp's statement.
"Yes, that would be the first major change we'd have to make clear."
Longtail however cleared his throat and answered Deimos.
"This is my Uncle Cyrix. He's usually not this easily distracted, but with the valley under attack, he's being kinda dumb." he said with a laugh.
Cyrix turned to his nephew and gave him a soft glare.
"Now Longtail you know very well...that I am more than capable of telling Deimos my name...but thank you anyway." Cyrix then turned to Deimos.
"Yes as my nephew mentioned my name is Cyrix, and I'm glad to meet you Deimos, as it is true you can more than hold your own in a fight. I admire that!"

Deimos then cleared his throat. "I guess we'd better speak to the elders."
"Yeah." Ovius said.

Zaine smiled. "I know you won't let it happen again. I'll make sure of it as well." Zaine then looked over at Deimos. "Thank you for helping me back there. I'm Zaine. If you don't mind me asking, since when have you been on our side?"
Doc walked up to the group. "Stepping up our patrols may not be enough. We need to arm ourselves with weapons in case they try a more full scale attack. Something's not right about this. The Mysterious Beyond has never made an attack like that before."

Sierra looked back while they were flying. "Screw trying to get hostages. We arm ourselves with weapons and launch another attack. Once we gain control of the valley we can make everybody our slaves, or just kill them off. Whatever seems more cruel. I prefer the enslaving."

"Maybe something happened out there, why else would they all suddenly try and take over the Great Valley?" Cera said

Deimos chuckled. "I was planning to join you before my herd even attacked. Nice to meet you Zaine, I'm Deimos." He then turned to Doc. "And you are?"
Ovius nodded. "This is unusual and dangerous. I do agree that we may need weaponry."
"What sort of weaponry?" Hyp asked.
Ovius shrugged. "I guess sticks and rocks will work for now. Of course we could try and sharpen the rocks."
Hyp rolled his eyes. "Sharpen a rock? Get real."
Deimos was looking around for more threats. "I'm not sure if I need weaponry as I basically have my own but I do agree it might be a good idea for those who don't have claws or teeth."

"We didn't take hostages!" Strut shouted
"Sierra's going to be mad." Ozzie said.
Dromaeo slammed his fist into a nearby rock. "I don't give a damn what Sierra wants! We kill some of those dinosaurs!"
Ozzie grinned. "Hmm. Killing you say? Sounds like good revenge."
"Pity, I didn't toss that Longneck off the cliff when we first met him." Strut said.

Doc looked down at Deimos. "Name's Doc. I wish it were under better circumstances, but nice to make your acquaintance. Anyway, sticks and rocks definitely sound good. We can try sharpening the rocks and tieing them to the end of the sticks. That might make them more efficient."
Zaine sighed. "I agree with Cera. I think something bad happened to the Mysterious Beyond, and now they want to take it out on us." He looked over at Deimos. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about it would you?"

Sierra noticed Ozzy, Strut, and Dromaeo. He didn't here Dromaeo's comment towards him, but he could tell by the empty hands that they didn't succeed in kidnapping anybody. "We had problems too. Don't worry. We can do whatever we feel like with them once we take over the Great Valley."

Longtail and Cyrix both turned to face Doc as Longtail asked,
"So, Doc...if stepping up our patrols aren't enough, what about scouts like flyers over the valley?"
Cyrix patted Longtail on the head as he smiled. "Very wise Longtail. What do you think Zaine?" he asked as he looked over at the young longneck.

Deimos nodded. "Unfortunately, I do. I was a member of a sickleclaw herd that lost its home to a flood. When we left our home we encountered a large group of other dinosaurs, who also lost their homes.
"Sounds good, but how do you sharpen a rock?" Hyp asked.
Ovius who was idly pounding two rocks together accidentally shattered one. He grinned and held up a sharp edged flake of grey rock. "I think I found out!"
"Nice!" Deimos said. He then turned to the rest of the group. "If you don't mind, may I assist Ovius and Hyp in gathering and producing the weaponry?"

"<That is what I call the perfect day: good fight, delicious dinner and now a bit of resting.>" Blacktail said, lying down on the ground, feeling that his stomach became full of meat he had eaten. Other sickleclaws mostly finished their feast as well.
"<Sorry to disrupt your perfect day, Blacktail, but we can't stay here for long. After Amber, Ovie and Windbite will join us, we must leave the Valley>" Claw said firmly. For some time he hadn't heard any sounds of battle, so it could mean that attacking sharpteeth had withdrawn and that meant the leafeaters could soon try to fight his pack...
"<We wait here a few moments more and then we will go to entance to the tunnel.>" he decided.
((Lillefot, could you give a response to my previous post, in which Ruby and Chomper meets Amber and Windbite? I dont want them to just stand there forever. ;) ))

Zaine let it all fall in in his mind. A flood destroying the Mysterious Beyond? How is that even possible? He came to and looked up at the sky. "Well that one flyer was not messing around. He seems really dangerous. We might need everyone we can get to defend the valley in the air." He then looked back at the group. "But I also saw Ozzy and Strut with all the sharpteeth. I think we're going to have a tough time on the ground as well."
Doc observed Ovius' method of sharpening the rocks and was impressed at the result. "That may actually work. Deimos you Hyp and Ovius find anything you can for weapons. I'll go around and gather up as many other dinosaurs as I can to fight. We'll need all the help we can get."

"Yes sir."Deimos said. He then turned to Ovius and Hyp. "Coming?"
Ovius swore as he he accidentally shattered a triangular rock flake he had made. "I'll stay here and continue sharpening rocks. Oh, I've got a few sharp flakes." He then gestured to a small pile of triangular rock points.
Hyp nodded. "We'll head to the forests, then the base of the mountains. We'll also go to the Feeding Grounds."
"What could be in the Feeding Grounds that could be used as a weapon?" Deimos asked.
"Treesweets." Hyp replied.
"Nice idea. Unfortunately, I cannot handle them."
Hyp chuckled. "Almost all sharpteeth cannot. It apparently makes them sick."
Deimos and Hyp then headed off as Ovius got up to look for more rocks.
