I'm sorry about that. But just as I wasn't surprised that they took down LBT 3, I'm not surprised they disabled your account. I knew it would happen sooner or later.

So what do you plan on doing now?

Not surprised at all.  Don't even think of using Vidilife either.  They're soooooooo slow.  I'm guessing they can't afford to upgrade their servers 'cuz it's just ridiculous how slow it is. <_<

Now if I could make a self destructing .swf I'd be willing to share the movies myself.  After all, if you can only watch them once you have an incentive to go buy them right?  Unfortunately I don't think such a thing exists.  If I were to make something like this I'd have to develop it from SCRATCH which would probably take months of time which I currently don't have.

I would talk about how it was bound to happen and all that stuff but everyone else seems to have it covered pretty well.

dude. just don't do it.

jump that ship before the folks at Universal decide to ram it into the lawsuit iceberg...

there are millions of other things you can be doing to show your support for LBT and everything related.. uploading whole movies are not one of them.

I agree with Aves. Consider yourself lucky that your account was all that you lost. It may have gotten a lot worse than that. And if you continue to pursue getting full movies uploaded, then you'll just be landing yourself further into hot water.

As long as Universal is credited I do not see how uploading LBT movies onto Youtube is wrong. They are almost always of lesser quality then the original and can serve to promote the movie. In this case, Universal has failed to release the third movie so it is understandable that someone would feel the need to post it on youtube so people can see it. To me this looks like more of a loss to LBT then a gain.

The issue is that uploading full movies online can and will affect sales of that product. People will go "Why buy the movie when I can watch it online for free?" While some people may buy the DVD to get better quality, likely, in my opinion, most people will just watch the movie online and not pay, thus hurting Universal's profit. And money is needed to make more movies. If a movie makes enough money, it may earn a sequel, like LBT has in the past many times. But uploading full movies will not help LBT. Instead, it will hurt it. While some may still buy the movies, many may not, since they can watch it for free. This takes away money from Universal's profit, and as a result decreases LBT's sales. Uploading full movies may seem to be a good way to promote the product, but in the end, it causes more damage than good. There are other ways to promote LBT without hurting its sales. Fanart and fanfiction are a couple of them.

Keep in mind I am talking about full movies only; music videos or clips likely aren't going to cause as much damage as a full movie would.

Or fan made trailers also.  Not sure if those are ok.  Reviews they likely can't do anything about.  Same with parody & satire I'd guess.

I had two Youtube accounts removed because of music with copyright in my AMV.

I thought they were, but I wasn't sure if laws had been changed or not.

allow me to correct myself then

parodies are allowed as long as it does not include original material (material from the films or cartoon series)

I was pretty sure parodies was allowed but after the banning of that video I guess times change. The person who uploaded to video was surprised and said that he may soon leave youtube.

Well, I have found it to not be all bad.  I can still watch videos on YouTube.  I just can't post my own or comment on them now.

Sure, I could make a new account, use a different e-mail and put the videos back up, but no.  I've caused enough damage there.

I was planning on leaving anyways.  Maybe it's time to move on.

Besides, certain things about YouTube I've always hated. -_-

Maybe I'll leave.  Maybe I won't.  We'll see in time. :)
