hope ya'l dont mind a post like this, as it relates directly to my first viewing of the sequels. Yesturday I watched movies 2 through 5 and a portion of 6 all for the first time... My thoughts?

The Bad:
1. The villains... mind numbingly stupid, the lot of them!
2. The villain's songs - OH MY GOD!
3. Am I the only one who wanted to pie the beginning narrator every time he said the word 'Dinosoar' all dramatic like?
4. Continuity problems. One scene shows Cera leaving the group refusing to join them, the next shows her actually with them. I think this was the scene where Littlefoot and the gang goes looking for the bullies to save them from uncertain trouble.
5. Ali's sudden change of heart about Littlefoot's friends. I felt it was an unnaturally rushed emotion. Though it can be justified that she needed help to save Littlefoot from the cave.
6. The sixth movie..... this one was almost a pain to watch, though I like the improvements in the artwork. Still, did we need Lone Ranger references in a prehistoric movie? and every time Littlefoot's granpa said the word 'Lone Dinosoar' while telling his story it made me wince a bit... I'll finish watching this one today to see if I like it any better =P
7. Cera's father is an idiot!

The Good:
1. Chomper <3
2. Chomper again
3. The scene where Littlefoot asks his granparents about babies.. their expressions = priceless. And I laughed!
4. Ali's cute ^_^ her scenes reminded me very much of Falene from Bambi, nice touch with Disney elements here and there.
5. Chomper  :lol
6. The Fifth movie = My favorite!
7. I actually laughed some!
8. And last but not least, I actually enjoyed some of the songs! I was scared they'd make me hate the series before the end, but alas! (I only hate the villain's songs...) Always There nearly brought tears to my eyes when Littlefoot's part came. **sniffles**

More to come as I progress... special thanks to various members of YouTube for posting the full movies up (though its illegal) Hope I'm not such a cheat! XD

I aggree with you that some songs aren¥t good chosen to the videos. Some of the songs make some people here, how could I say... crazy, like the one song in the TV episodes I feel so happy. But let the songs really hate you the movies? I mean, one could don¥t like something, but hate? Isn¥t that a bit to hard.

I really disliked LBT 6 because it was sorta lame.  I don't know how else to describe it.  It's not fun to watch very much anymore for me.  I'd say that's my most infrequently watched sequel.

There are some movies I like better then others.  Though even the ones I like least have some scenes I like.  Once I get the dvd's I may just watch the individual scenes I like instead of the whole movie of the ones I like least when I'm not in the mood to watch the whole movie.

I have to agree with what AvestheForumFox posted. LBT 6 is quite possibly my least favorite LBT movie of all time. Now, would you rank LBT 5 over LBT 1? It's not as stupid of a question as one may think... mabey.

oh, most certainly not. the original is strictly without question the first and best of the series. no. 5 is just my favorite sequel so far

this does make me feel a bit bad. what I meant was that if the sequels were nothing more than a sing a song every few minutes (which it wasn't) that it would make me totally 'dislike' the sequels (the original would had never been included in there) hate was perhaps a bit over exaggerating. Which I do apologies

sorry

Like I said, there are a few sparse masterpieces hidden within the LBT songs, but there are some that I just plain loathe. My least favorite one of all time would have to be that "Who Needs You" thing from LBT 4. It makes an otherwise serious sequel (Littlefoot's grandpa is on his deathbed for crying out loud!) seems utterly silly.

i didn't like that song at all..

it sounded like two old married farts who were arguing over nothing. it was lazily pulled off and i could sense no efforts at all to make it worthy... not that it ever was 'worthy' like you said... it was totally out of story and a sore to the ears...

Always There ranks second place on my favorites just below 'If We Hold On Together'

The song "Who Needs You." Reminds me of the few episodes I saw of The Honeymooners, though I doubt anyone her has heard of that tv series.

It's actually one of my favorites. :^.^: I love the interaction between old Ralph and Norton! Too bad I can't see it anymore....

"Who needs you" reminds me how childish the series really is.  I like not to think of it that way though.  So long as I avoid that song and "oops-eeps", I'm fine when watching LBT, but when I watch those songs, I think to myself "Why am I even bothering to watch this garbage?"  It makes me question my liking of LBT sometimes when I watch those songs, so I avoid them at all costs.  Another one was added to the list with LBT 13.  "Yellow belly bounce" was horribly childish.  I'm even thinking of cutting it out of the movie using a video splitter it was so bad. :(

Yellow Belly Bounce was no worse than the others in LBT 13, in my opinion. I'd sooner cut "How Do You Know" then any of the others.

Well, if you want a little more specific, the song was great until 58 seconds in when Petrie cut in.  Littlefoot's voice was so good!  Then Petrie has to cut in and totally mutilate the song, turning it into a childish horrible song.  Worst rhymes that made me cringe the most were "tummy and mummy ( for mom)" *Cringe*.  Then of course, the others supported him and said the same childish crap.  That was one of the worst mutilations I've ever heard in any song! -_-

One thing's for sure, though: If one wishes to know the target audience of the series, sequels, and television series, one does not need to look further than the "games" included on the LBT DVDs, how difficult they are, and their content.

When I was younger, I loved that song. It's probably the only LBT song (with the exception of If We Hold On Together) that I don't mind listening to nowadays.
