Foreword: This poem is very important to me, because I wrote it for my sister, who was adopted by us after having lived with an abusive family
It’s not fair, not fair
Not at all;
You’ve done nothing
wrong
The only thing you did
Was live.
It’s not fair, not fair
Not at all;
I wish for the same
Every time I see it
I wish to be there, to
defend
To defend you from
them
Who don’t want you
To Live
I wish for the same
Every time I see it
I see it the same
Every time I see it
That terror and pain
So clear in your eyes
Screaming.
Screaming, loud,
So loud
The screaming in your eyes
Deafens to the point
The screams from your mouth
Are lost, unheard
Just as unheard as they were,
By the ears of the one who
Left you like this
Left you like this.
For you it was not too late
But for some… for some
Help never comes…
Never comes…
They lie all alone, asking
What did I do?
But they did nothing wrong
All they did
Was live.
It’s not fair, not fair
Not at all;
I wish for the same
Every time I see it
I wish to be there, to
defend
To defend you from
them
Who don’t want you
To Live

Wow :blink:...very good poem, Tails_155 :yes. Yeah, it's an all-too-sad reality that there are kids who go through such terrible mistreatment :cry.

It's a great poem tails. You can express really well. I'm kind of speechless, heh.

This poem clearly demonstrates the feelings of the speaker. Great job! :)

thanks, I'm both happy I made the poem in the first place, and that I could improvise so well (I had one half of a class period to make it)
