Transformers is a popular series (toys, games, movies, comics, etc) about two race of giant robots (Autobots and Decepticons) who can take on the form of anything mechanical (cars, tanks, helicopters, and jets to name a few). The Autobots are the good guys and the Decepticons are the bad guys.

My brother and I have already seen Transformers in the theatres today.

Sounds interesting.  I'll have to go buy it when it comes out.  I hate the theatre.

I'd love to see a live action Beast Wars. Beast Wars is part of the Transformers series, except it involves Maximals (like Autobots, but smaller) and Predacons (like Decepticons, but smaller). They transform into animals. One of my fav characters was Dinobot, who took on the form of a Deinonychus.

also the TRANSFORMERS (atleast to me) is a classic! and is good example of a story about good vs evil. the series has survived for eons. ranging from G1 to Beast Wars (the Japanese TRANSFORMERS tv shows don't count. these include RID (Robots In Disguise), Armada, Energon, And Cybertron. these examples don't count in the Original TRANSFORMERS series and are counted as Knock-Offs and uncannon) the TRANSFORMERS are a favorite to many. and who can forget them? I can't. there too cool. also the series has also helped in the arrival in other classic series. such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Skellington Warriors, and beleave it or not but The TRANSFORMERS The Movie also took animated movies to a new direction. during the 1980's cartoon movies always been givin a G rating. and never shown any foul play or fighting. but in the summer of 1986 the theatres where blown away by TRANSFORMERS the Movie. the movie's dark toned setting and violence paved the way for other movies to bring themselfs to stardom. unlike other movies TRANSFORMERS the Movie exibited stuff that never been used in the Cartoon movies and was well reconised. not only did TRANSFORMERS show violence and death, but it also showed that no matter how bad things can get, and no matter what stands in your way. as long as we stand together nothing can stop us, and that no matter how dark it gets. theres always a light, to brighten the most darkest hour. the movie has opened the door to other great classics. TRANSFORMERS the movie also influenced our verry own The Land Before Time. had not TRANSFORMERS not have made it to the big screen, LBT would have became a movie like Care Bears. and all that great action in the movie would not be present. also TRANSFORMERS also seen to the success to many stars. such as Frank Welker, Peter Cullen, Chris Latta (Now Passed), Suesan Blu, and many many others.

its true. also the movie also brought a new tradition in other TRANSFORMERS tv series. that the Protagonist MEGATRON will become GALVATRON after reconstroction of the old body, Power Impulse, or an upgrade. and thus gave the charactor more fame.

Optimus Prime dies. the leader dying is somethin you never seen in a Cartoon movie. that and brutal exacutions, like Megatron killing Ironhide on screen. and Galvatron killing Starscream in a brutal matter.

Peter Cullen's portrayal of Optimus is iconic. He's got the voice that you'll never forget, and if you do, you'll remember it the moment you hear it again.

I really liked the new Transformers movie (i've only recently got the chance to go see it). The graphical representation of the transformers was wickid but it was sad that you only ever heard the transforming sound ONCE throughout the whole movie. Also, the motto was used as such a cringingly BAAAAAD chat-up line (way to go BeLeouf :lol) The story was pretty solid as was the comical moments. I was so glad to hear Peter Cullen replaying his legendary role of Optimus Prime. I was bummed that Frank Welker didn't return as Megatron. Apparently, his voice was too aged for him to take up the role again so they got Hugo "Agent Smith" Weaving to do it instead. He did a good job but nothing beats the original!

I'd definitely go to see this again and I'll be first in line when it's out on general release for purchase  :^.^:
