Actually, I read that Nora's (elevator decapitation in 2) death was based off a real-life incident.

So...the "Nail on the balance beam" scene...I have NO idea how that part's going to go down.

On the Content Advisory for FD5 on IMDB, it said that the girl that fell on the nail said that her jaw would be ripped off graphically when she fell (as it hooked into the bone), and blood would go everwhere. It was removed, and it probably hasn't been put back up.

I normally don't belive the content advisories on IMDB unless I've seen the movie first, but that was just something I wanted to point out. It only mentioned the window scene, the laser-eye surgrey, the nail board and the accupuncture scene.

And that's why I think it's fake...it addresses only scenes shown in the trailer, when you just know there has to be more deaths...

I love these films so much. It's such a clever concept to think about cheating death and having death come back after you for screwing its design up. Yes, the deaths are completely over-the-top, but that's the fun of the franchise. In a way, it's a lot like the Saw franchise, just nowhere near as intense.

I'm really excited for this movie. The bridge collapse is actually quite creative and the deaths look pretty brutal so far.

(Possible) MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!!

If something a lot of people are saying on imdb is true, this is the ending......(possibly)

.................

.....................

.................

...................

...............

.........................

It turns out that Fd5 is set before the original Final Destination, and at the end, the remaining 2 or 3 chars get on a plane....which turns out to be Flight 180! The main characters don't find out about Alex's panic and premonition until everyone form the original has been escorted off, and they realize they're screwed as they take off and Flight 180 explodes...!

...................

If that IS the ending, even though it does the "everyone dies" gimmick again, that is quite possibly the best way to have done it.

That kind of stuff has really happened.  That's why they've designed elevator doors with a sensor in case someone tries at the last second to catch a ride, and the doors will stop and open back up.  Still, that doesn't always work.  I once met a guy who had tried to set off the sensor with his hand, and got his arm stuck in the doors.  He managed to pry it out, but not without shearing a lot of skin off from the elbow down :x.  After hearing real life stories like that, I never try to catch an elevator as the doors are closing :!.

TV spots are becoming more frequent, and it's best to avoid them if you don't want the deaths spoiled.
