The Pirate Bay, the most popular file-sharing site on the internet, is getting a documentary.

It will be available for free download this spring.

When it comes out, I'll download it and share it. (Which the creator is allowing.)

Official release date has been given! It comes out February 8th.

Not only will it be shown at a Film Festival in England, but will also be live-streamed online on the same date. After which, it'll be available for free download and will be allowed to be shared.

Sounds great. I'll make sure to watch it if I can remember about it. Maybe it would have been better to make this topic once the documentary was already out.

I am currently downloading the torrent. (Download it yourself here.) Due to the large number of recipients, it is slow going. However, despite this, if it keeps going at the rate it does, I should be able to upload it to my various online choice sites by Monday at the earliest.

The documentary is originally in Swedish. However, the torrent also includes English subtitle files to be added on for when it's put on YouTube. Sadly, for the rest of the Online Video Platforms, I'll have to make a version of it where I added the subtitles manually. That will take some work and may not be done until next Friday.

Still, I hope you all look forward to this special documentary. If my predictions are right about it, then so many of you will finally understand what The Pirate Bay is really about.

Okay, my uTorrent program actually kicked into high gear while I was away from my desktop and as a result, I was able to get it earlier than expected.

The Swedish Version is currently being uploaded to my YouTube and the English Subtitles will be added later. Note that this will be my first time uploading a Subtitle File to YouTube. There could very well be some trial and error in this. I'm not sure how well the process will go. Rest assured, the Monday date for it to be fully done should still happen.

Anyways, for those that can at least understand Swedish, you can keep an eye on the progress at the following link. Note that it may not be fully ready until tomorrow as this is a 1080p version being uploaded.

That was interesting and informative at the same time. Thank you for sharing.

I had partially expected an appeal to the audience for some kind of fundraising, but I guess they don't want to ask that. I still think it's ridiculous they had to pay anything at all. Even if they did earn more than an average person (which I don't assume), they do not carry the blame for that what was being shared. "Helping copyright infringement".... WTH

I use piratebay a few times and I liked it some what. They had things on there that I liked and downloaded since it's free and saves me a lot of money that I don't have. Glad it's still up.

This is why I don't like to rely on "the cloud" or web based crap. Thankfully I've already downloaded this onto my computer, were I know it won't just disappear. I haven't gotten the chance to watch it through all the way, but at least now I don't have to worry about it just being gone one day.
