I've seen this at other forums, and I figured I'd start this thread here. The title pretty much says it all: just explain what your avatar is and why you're using it. With mine, I kinda wanted to mirror my username by demonstrating my love for Littlefoot and my New Mexico hometown pride, so I superimposed Littlefoot against the New Mexico state flag and used that as my avatar. I can't wait to read about yours! :)littlefoot

I am person who changes avatars in all possible forums I registered, with very often frequency. I believe I have changed around 320 avatars to this day. :D
My current avatar is Ali's custom emotion, because forum needs more emotions of characters!

My avatar is the battlecruiser captain from Starcraft 2. I had a hard time choosing my avatar and I ended up with this one as I always liked playing that unit and the captain looked quite cool. :smile

I suppose that what is fairly straightforward for mine. It's people dressed as Littlefoot and Cera. The why and when are a little harder. I believe Malte said when I first joined that he thought it was some promotional event for LBT2.
As for the why, I was mainly just searching on google for something LBT related that I could use. I stumbled on this picture and thought it was hilarious so I stuck with it. I guess you could say that I'm the opposite of Snik since I have stuck with it ever since I first joined back in 2007 (though I was inactive for about 7 of those years)

My profile shows two of my favorite franchises of all time, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Transformers. I am a huge fan of both of those shows and will always be.

It's one of the latest upcoming Pokemon. It currently only has a codename, Ultra Beast: Adhesive. I loved the look so much that, after a bit of Photoshop to make it have a transparent background, I had to make it my new avatar.
Can't wait to get this one in the upcoming game. :)

Mine is from my main on an MMO called Mabinogi, in which my main for the game is a human character with the avatar called "Chronicler7". The image is a cropped version of a larger screenshot which showcases my primary battle and mount pet in the form of a 2-seater variety Thunder Dragon named "Darkdragora", but in the in-universe lore is now called "Stormcloud". Updated to reflect my current avatar: I loved this picture of Littlefoot, and I like the way GOF renders avatars with a transparent background, so a while back, I changed it to the one I use now.

Pretty sure Austin was responsible for that. :) He did a good work with our transparent images.
Mine is of Petrie when he acted like a king in...the 14th film? I can't remember. Plus I'm king of this forum so it just fit. :D

I Googled "BLT sandwich" and grabbed the most delicious-looking image result. Haven't changed it since.
Fun fact, within a day of me joining the forum, landbeforetimelover messaged me with a version of my avatar he'd given a transparent background so it looked nicer (before it'd been on a plain white background because I stole it from Stockphoto). I was really touched by his kindness, especially since I only had 1 post at the time and there was no promise I'd even stick around in the forum.

Hahaha yeah, ten years and I've never bothered to fix that. It's the exact same image from landbeforetimelover's PM.
Houndour is a terrific pokemon, fire and dark are both very powerful offensive types. Easily the scariest Pokemon a Team Rocket goon might be carrying.

I just really love this image of Chomper. It seems like to me, that a being having to live, by killing his food, would develop a very sarcastic attitude, and a dark sense of humor, anyway. :P

Just my favourite character from my favourite anime (rivalling LBT as my main fandom) looking adorable :D She reminds me of Ducky in a way but she's way more hyper :D

My avatar is Bionicle character Takua, as he appears in the movie Bionicle: Mask of Light. I chose him as the subject of my avatar because he held the title of Chronicler, which inspired my username as I wanted something related to Bionicle. As for why I chose that image in particular, well, it was simply the easiest one I could find that specifically focused on just Takua from that movie.

I have no profile picture. The forum rankings in my opinion suffice enough for a visual appeal.
Although, I do wish there was a Mo ranking just for me...

Turns out that ONI didn't exactly approve of my idea to use their symbol as a profile picture, so I promised to switch it since I didn't wish to be taken to the Midnight Facilty.
And I joined the Spartans as ONI most certainly will not screw with me now! :SmugSpike

Not much to say about this one. Christmas was coming up shortly and I wanted something with the appropriate theme. But I didn't want to do a typical red Santa, so I searched "Green Santa" instead since that's my favourite colour.
Although Christmas has since passed, so I'll probably update my avatar again soon.

Don't get me wrong here, I still really like a picture-less profile. But for some reason today, I decided "Yeah, sure. Maybe just this one time." And since I'm really addicted to the Stinkweed song from LBT 14, I chose to capture a photo from that scene. Here's the result that you see here. :lol

Hmm! We only have the main gang as rankings at the moment (and on top of that Member, Member+, Mod or Admin). If we are going to include other characters, we'd have to carefully pick and choose which ones would be part of that. Something to consider for sure, I'll bring it up with the others.
My avatar is Sharptooth, for the Sharptooth showcase. I've been changing my avatar to feature mostly my own fanart for each showcase, but I think I'll run out of avatar content soon with all these villains that I've never drawn haha.

My current avatar is an Arwing being pursued by the Wolfen; Star Fox being tailed by Star Wolf. I choose it because In a Star Fox RP, I play Wolf O'Donnell (Leader of Star Wolf), and am nostalgic for all things Star Fox. :)

I chose my avatar because of how much I love Petrie!! Especially in the first movie; he had this awesome, unhinged personality that we don't really see in the sequels, and the scene I picked is a good example of that :D
