Hello mateys, I'm a warm hearthed college student from the scandinavian country, Sweden.
I'd guess I should tell you some about myself so you get to know me, right?

I'm currently on my firts college year, studying the natural sciences and English up to the Cambridge levels, hence I have no problem speaking English with you ;)

There's alot of things I enjoy in life, so you can talk with me about most things, I will listen:)

And how did I get here, well probobly by the same reason you are here, I fancy the LBT movies and series, quite the intressting story behind that. Tell you later.

I'm looking forward to posting here, I hope I don't sound to haste...

A very dear aunt of mine currently recovers from a chemotherapy she had to undergo. Luckily her cancer was discovered in an early state and it was what they refer to as "benign" cancer so she will make full recovery.
Looking at all the hardships she had to endure because of this "benign" cancer the idea of a malignant case of cancer is really terrifying. littlefoot4ever, you have set yourself a high, but very important goal in live and the first thing it takes to do something supposedly impossible is to give it a try. Well, I think no one can do it ALONE.
What I wanna do is being a part of an research team, and work with it.
The reason? I hate that people have to die early. It's unfair...

Besides, i want to do something that has some meaning and goal. I don't think I could work so well otherwise.

This...is an...octavuple(?) post... I would advise you that this type of thing is generally frowned upon in forums, although you can get away with quite a bit here, seeing as we're all friendly.

And yes, I do love Final Fantasy. VII is my definate favourite, although I've only got VI-X (and X-2 actually, although I try too think about that game as little as possible...).

Again, I hope you stick around. It's quite sad to see someone open a welcome topic, and then drift off into the ether...

EDIT: Now you've nonuple (novulple?) posted...

A double post is when you post twice without anybody else posting in-between your posts. So a novuple (yes, I made that up from Latin- Novem (nine)) post is when you post nine times in a row.
Hope that helps.

I'm sorry if this caused trouble.
I just got more anwers than I'd expected, why I made several post I dont know.
And I am worthless when it comes to introduce myself. First introduction gives you the picture of the person, right?
And now I fear that all of you consider me as braging about my goals.
Please, that was not my purpose! I am absolutly no better person than anyone else.

The theory is that you can edit your last post instead of making a new one, keeping the boards cleaner.  No big deal.  Even I double and triple-post sometimes (with the intention of updating the last activity time on that topic, bringing it back to public attention so the latest update doesn't go unnoticed). :p

Try not to do it too much but it's no big deal if you have a few posts in a row around here.

In this case littlefoot4ever, you could have clicked the "edit" button next to your first post and put in the rest of the messages in to that one single post, instead of posting a little bit in each post.

History! Great subject! I study it to, currently I'm doing some work on the Inca empire.
There were obligatory grammar classes during the first two semesters at the university. Though those classes were certainly something I had to work hard to manage I really feel they have done me a lot of good. I'm not exactly a "grammar fan" (putting it mildly) but those classes were much more aimed at the practical use of English than some linguistic classes were which I had to attend in the same semesters. I kept the reader of my grammar classes and it is a really handy work of reference. There are some tasks in that reader where even native English speakers might have to think about which is the right form to use in some sentence.
Meanwhile however I could pick my major fields of study (choosing between linguistics, literature, cultural studies, and special languages) and focused mainly on cultural studies.
You're writing about the Inca now? That's an interesting topic. It is such a pity how much was lost with the destruction of this fascinating civilization. Their skills in building roads and bridges easily matched the abilities of the ancient Romans, with the difference that most of the Roman roads are not built in as difficult terrain as the Andes mountains. Their system of communication with rested message runners relieving each other every few miles was probably about as fast as it could have been without any mounts or vehicles. From what I read in one book they even found mumies which had plates of silver inserted into holes in their skull bones and those silver plates had coadunated with the surrounding tissue, suggesting that the Inca's (unable to work with any metal harder than bronze) were capable of conducting sucessful skull surgery that is complex even today.
Do you have to write about the Inca in English or in Swedish?

Intresting... Do you get to learn AM english or brittish?
My class's learning brittish english; however, I think that AM english is more 'relaxed'.
And, I get to work with the Incas in swedish, now focusing on their ancestors, the Nasca. I guess that you've heard of them as well

Sort of mixed. I have lecturers from both the United States and Great Britain. I cannot say for sure what my own English would sound like as I lack the ear of the native speaker. I suppose my English is usually sounds more like American than British English (due to a student's exchange), but I'm not sure on that. I definitely still have an accent. Maybe some of our native speakers with whom I have had microphone chats can tell anything about the sound of my English? I would really appreciate any feedback on this.

Is there any motive (any scene from any movie) which you would really like to have as an Avatar? Maybe somebody has a readymade picture which you would enjoy as an avatar :)
Your current avatar (though photoshoped and therefore individual of coures) is the same motive as the one used by Littlefoot-1616 for his avatar.

The only picture resizing I've ever used is the xp powertools that is called: Image Resizer Powertoy.  In the advanced setting you can put in 120 into each window and that is now many pixels it'll be.  The install program is 520Kb.

The link to the list of Xp powertools is: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...ppowertoys.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx)

The image resizer is the 5th from the bottom on the right side of downloads.

Hey Malte,

Negative, it's a png file, the size being 118 KB, 320 * 240 pixels...

I've been trying to crop, "image size", normal shrinking in Picture Viewer, everything. I also changed it to other formats, such as JPEG and btm.
I think I have a dozen of the same picture in my picture map!

Try and send it to me again, and I'll see if it works.
