Post by: AvestheForumFox on December 20, 2007, 06:25:24 AM
I figured Kor was about due for an  Avi upgrade, so I decided to wip up a good holiday gift for the guy!

I pieced together this Avatar! XD

I now knight Kor as Kor the White! Woo!

Kor, man, if you like what ya see, all ya gotta do is just put this link in the Avi link box.

It's not a has to or gots to. Do with this whatever you so please ^_^

oh, and I may do more for others if so desired! that is, if you can handle my insane creativity XD

I'm open for requests. however I'll need time to work on them, so if you do request them, dont expect them instantly!

It would be my holiday gift to the community  :)

*looks at current avatar* Uh... naw, I'm good. :P: I make my own avatars. I guess I could do this for others, too, but half of December is already behind us, and with my rather slow style, I doubt I could get it done before Christmas.

Yes.

it was the quickest reference I can get to without having to resort to the Google Image search

Not that anything good would come up. Google image search for LBT sucks really bad. <_< Back in the day when I didn't have a way to capture LBT images for desktop backgrounds I spent a lot of time looking for a good LBT background on google.  I could never find one. :cry

Boy aint that the truth!

most images I saw on there are those really childish promotion images which often make me question my fandom... I prefer the in film images over that eyesore anyday!

Screen captures are best, but finding just the right one can be the hard one, especially if one doesn't know how to do it themselves.

It's not that hard.  AVI rips + VLC media player = nice screenshots.  You need another program to capture full quality DVD images though.  VLC only stores a little snapshot, which makes it blurry when you blow it up to make it your background. <_<

VLC captures the image source size.  The KMPlayer will capture how big the window size is (so if its full-screen you get an automatic full screen capture).  Depends on the software.

Video snapshot genius is the only one I've ever found that decently captures large DVD quality images from a dvd.  When I make a snapshot, I can make it's size up to 10,240X12,480 and it won't be blurry even when I zoom up as close as I can get.  The images are several hundred megs though. :p
