It was late evening in the dark lands. A gathering of raptors of many different herds were being ushered towards a large area amidst the volcanic wastelands.
Rivers of bright hot bubbling lava flowed on either side of the meeting area and the island that formed the area was connected to a massive stone platform that raised high above the great gathering. Bones of many long dead dinosaurs littered the area.
Soon, Blackclaw steped forward out on to the ledge of the great platform. A vengeful smile crossed his face. He had spent the past few sun cycles negotiating with pack leaders into joining his sinister plans.
He stood proudly, as one who lead a great army, his image lit red from the ever flowing bright lava streams and the massive volcano that was spilling the lava far behind the stone platform.
It was a sight never before seen, a gathering that had never been done. Blackclaw was becoming a lord over his own kind. A Lord of the Fast Biters.
It was time...
"My fellow kindreds" He said finally, his voice loud and booming. All eyes were upon him, anxiously awaiting the unheard message
"A time of a great feast is at hand!"
With these words, the fastbiters cheered
"I have spoke with your leaders. I have told them my discoveries and my plans. It is now my honor to share the same information with you."
Lightning flashed from a distant thunder cloud, lighting the rolling clouds in a brilliant display and the low boom of thunder followed after Blackclaw's words
"I have found a valley. A land the leaf nibblers call a safe haven. They think we're too dumb to find our way in. They think that those walls will protect them forever... Well, my friends, I have news for them. that green valley of peace shall soon be covered in their own blood. Our time has COME!"
Another cheer. Some began to chant and stamp in rythim. A battle beat it seemed and Blackclaw could feel his pride sink deep with each loud beat.
Soon Torgo and an elderly fastbiter joined his side, Blackclaw turned to the elder
"I shall soon lead you and everyone else to the feast. Our journey starts at dawn. Go now, tell your pack to get plenty of rest."
The elder nodded and turned to leave
"The master did not approve of this" said Torgo to Blackclaw
"Torgo... for the last time, that was not your master... that was my fool of a father speaking from beyond the grave... Now if your against this, Torgo, then your free to go back to your dead master."
"N-no.. if if the Master didnt approve, then I... I have to try to stop you"
Blackclaw laughed "You'd make a wonderful jester, Torgo. I'll keep you around for my amusement."
Blackclaw continued to laugh as he turned to leave. Torgo looked out over the gathering who were still chanting and stamping. Torgo stood and listened. He heard something beyond the lands... something unsettling, a strange and terrifying roar that boomed with the thunder of the distant storms. The loud racket of the gathering far below made it impossible for them to hear it, but Torgo heard it. and it sent chills down his body.
He remembered all too well, the warning of Kragoth's spirit
'The Children of Maganog have arisen'
The roar sounded again, Torgo quickly left the platform and ran for hiding.

Denton awoke with a loud scream, a terrible sleep story concerning his recent encounter with the fastbiters was bothering his every moment of sleep.
He looked around breathing hard. It was raining hard outside the cave that he had chosen for refuge
He was lost...like usual... He felt dumb for wondering off like he normally did, but knew he'd be found again
Thunder rumbled outside with a bright flash of lightning
'Maybe I'd better wait for this storm to be over with before venturing out.' he thought to himself

Zaine never really slept that night. He was too busy thinking about Korr. I wonder if I'll ever run into him again. Maybe some day I'll go looking for him and talk to him. There still is some good inside of him, I know it.

Mim had taken the time to care for Longtail till he healed. Likely others helped also, or would come and visit him till he was well enough to move on his own.
Ducky was having fun playing in some of the sky water puddles near where their nest was. She was glad they had moved their nest earlier. That was never fun, but once it was over it left one with fun mud puddles and sky water puddles to play in.
Littlefoot was eating a very soggy breakfast with his grandparents. He was thinking if he wanted to go and visit Ducky, she was bound to be having fun in all the sky water puddles and mud, or go to the secret caverns and stay with Chomper in there and get dry for a while, if Chomper was there and not out somewhere.
Petrie was in his mother's nest watching the sky water, hoping it would stop so he could go out and play with his friends.

Zaine decided to find some place to eat breakfast. He couldn't find his friends anywhere, more that he was too tired at the moment to look. He was kept awake because Longtail and Korr kept switching through his mind. He also thought about the soothing female voice he heard right before the incident with Korr. "Who was that voice? Longtail might know, but I don't want to disturb him now. I'll go and see him later." With that, he started to eat his breakfast.

Longtail at that moment however was pacing around his uncles cave bored out of his mind. He knew it was raining outside, but he wanted to be out there in it. It had been four weeks since the incident with Korr, and his wing was feeling much better, but Cyrix forbid the flyer to leave the cave until he or Mim returned.
Longtail gave a heavy sigh, and decided against all odds to walk into the sky water and find his friends...

Denton lay looking out the mouth of the cave, waiting... waiting... waiting for the storm to blow over...
Surely his friends were having fun without him, and he thought of this enviously even to the point of suspicion
'Surely they havent forgot about me. Surely they'd notice I'm missing... maybe that's it, maybe they grew tired of trying to find me all the time. I'm such a bother...'
He sighed and laid his head on the cold stone floor of the cave
'And what of my mother? I bet she's worried sick about me.... oh why do I always have to be so curious?!?'
'Perhaps you cant help it, kid... stop your whining! It's really starting to depress the spirits!'
Denton's eyes widened, the voice came from his mind, and it was a frightfully familiar voice. it was in fact the very voice of Kragoth, the fastbiter he encountered weeks ago.
'Listen here, longneck. My son is being a complete idiot. I'm planning to use you to foil his little demented plans and to make his life a living hell... so deal with it, and get used to me being in this tiny brain hole you call a head.'
"AAAAAUUAAAHHHH!" screamed Denton, he jumped to his feet and started running around like a confused wild boar.
'Stop that! Hey, stop it you little brat! I'm warning you!'
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!" screamed Denton, and he rammed himself into a wall accidentally in his dumb attempt at an escape.
He wobbled about and fell flat on his belly from the dizzy spell caused from his collision
'Stupid kid. I told you to stop!'

Korr and his gang stumbled out into an opening, long weary from their defeat and the trek from the valley. Little did they know someone was watching them from above, atop a large cliff
"Well, if it isn't the stooge gang that I've been hearing about lately." commented Meyla, a female redhorn "I wonder what foolish antics they've been getting themselves into lately."
She sighed and rolled her eyes then started her journey down a dirt beaten path to meet them. It wouldn't be long until she stood at the end of the trail the other redhorns were journeying down
"Hello, boys." said the female redhorn "Done anything amusingly stupid lately?"

Mim had gathered some food and was heading back to the cave where Longtail and Cyrix stayed. She had planned on gathering enough so they could stay inside till the rain stopped.
Ducky was still playing, swimming and crying in happiness while she played with her brothers and sisters in the rain puddles near their nest. She wondered what her friends were doing but assumed, since they were not swimmers, they may be trying to find a place to keep dry.
Littlefoot finished his soggy breakfast and told his grandparents he was going to see what his friends were up to. He promised them if the rain got harder he'd go to the secret caverns and stay with Chomper and Ruby till the rain stopped.
Having not much to do Petrie got his snuggling stick and was trying to go back to sleep.

Vylor and Argaya were searching for Denton. They had grown since their departure into the Mysterious Beyond. They were not fully grown longnecks, but they were still larger than Littlefoot, if only by a couple of inches.
"Do you think we should turn back and look for him when the storm dies down?" Vylor asked. He was cold, wet, and unable to see from the lightning and rain.
"We shouldn't, but we should stop for now. It would be impossible to find Denton in this weather." Argaya replied.
Quickly, they found a cave to rest in.

Dante had been searching for Denton when the storm broke, and he too ran into a nearby cave...

Longtail had been wondering for some time now and wasn't able to find anybody...now wet cold and alone...he thought it would be best to find shelter from the sky water, but the only problem was where? 'I don't dare go back to my uncles cave...especially if he came back and found I was gone.' 'I could go see how Petrie is dealing with this sky water.' thought Longtail to himself
But Longtail sighed as he said aloud "But Petries nest is too far for me." He then looked over and saw a cave that looked nice and dry, so he took his chances. 'Although knowing my luck it may have a sharptooth living inside or something bigger than me.' thought Longtail with another sigh as he walked forward towards the cave.

"What are you doing in my head?" asked Denton... he and the voice of Kragoth had been arguing for some time now "I want you out!"
'Just do as I say, kid and I'll leave you in peace when my business is done.'
"You tried to eat me before, why should I let you do this?" asked Denton, annoyed at Kagoth's voice.
'I spared your life. Now shut up and lets go find your friends, they too will serve a part in my plan.'
"I refuse! Get out of my head NOW!"
'Very well, you leave me no choice but to take drastic actions. Turn around, brat, I'm coming right behind you...'
"Huh?" said Denton and he turned his neck to look around, there in the blackness of the cave were red slanted glowing eyes, a strange ecto like mist was wirling about the area and taking shape. Forming itself into a ghostly fastbiter
"I'm feeling quiet hungry for a hunt, even in spirit form." said Kragoth's disembodied voice. The image of coarse frightened Denton
"Boo!" said Kragoth, and Denton took no time scampering away as fast as he could out of the cavern. Kragoth's ghost took chase
Denton dove forward into the forested area, jumping over large roots and ducking below low hanging limbs. He hurried as hast as his fou feet could carry him, Kragoth's laughter echoed in his head as the spirit form gave chase to the young longneck
'That's it, kid, keep running! Run as fast as you can!'
Denton panted heavily, his breath giving out on him and his limbs sore from the heavy excersize. He turned only but a few times glancing at the spiritform which seemed to be gaining on him
Sudenly, Denton stumbled into an opening area, finding himself amongst a familiar face
"Longtail!" called out Denton and he fell face forward into the dirt, sore and terribly out of breath. Kragoth's spirit was nowhere to be seen, only a cold gust of wind followed Denton and Kragoth's voice resided in his head
'Very good, kid... yes, VERY good!'

Just as Longtail was about to enter the cave he saw Denton come to a crashing stop in front of him. Needless to say he was worried and immediately ran over to Denton to help him up. As he did however he asked "What's wrong? Why were you running like that? Are you hurt?" Just then Longtail felt the wind go by and shuddered and when he re opened his eyes, his right one was its yellow tint again.
He then asked Denton "Is someone here?"

'Say no, kid.
"Um.. I uh..."
'I'm warning you...'
"Uh, no... I... I was just spooked." said Denton finally
he looked down with a sigh but then raised his head looking up at Longtail "I've been lost for so long... days upon end... has nobody ever bothered to notice?"

"Vylor, did you hear something?" Argaya asked.
"I think I heard someone shout 'Longtail!' The voice sounded like Denton, if that is what you heard, yes." Vylor replied.
The two longnecks ventured from the cave and saw Longtail with Denton.
"Denton! We were looking all over for you!" Vylor exclaimed.
"We didn't know you were that close to us." Argaya said.

Longtail almost laughed in Denton's face, but managed to keep it under control as he said "Are you crazy? The whole valley has been looking for you non-stop...if they didn't have to sleep and eat we might have found you sooner, speaking of which how did you get lost way out here anyway?!"
Longtail however sighed and said "The only other valley resident I know who would be crazy enough to go into the Forest of Darkness, which is where you were by the way....is me!" He then smiled and said "Come on...let's get you home...the others are going to be so happy I found you...or...did you find me...now my head hurts...lets just go." said longtail as he turned to leave

Zaine tried to find cover under some trees from the rain, but it wasn't that helpful. The leaves were drenched to the point of leaking, and he stared up as the rain continued to fall. "Great, this tree doesn't block the sky water at all." This would be the time where he would find shelter with his herd, that is if his herd were still alive. "I just hope the others are ok, especially Longtail and Denton. I haven't seen either of them all day."

ooc: my last post for the night, so everyone can catch up on things
Meanwhile, as the rain clouds seemed to be showing signs of clearing, and the sun's rays peaked through a group pf flyers were gliding over the valley. Though strangely not in their usual perfect v formation, but rather scattered and awkward.
They soon made their way for a landing where the adults were meeting to discuss the odd weather
Sephy, the lead flyer landed before Granfather Longneck, apearing a bit wobbly and shaken up about something
"What is this?" Asked the elderly longneck and he looked down at the group of flyers who were all just as equally tired looking as their leader
"We come bringing ill news" said Sephy, his voice cracky and sick sounding "More storms approaching. Potentially much worst than the one that should had passed over here by now."
The flyer coughed and hacked after his message and flopped down, obviously exhausted from his trip. The news brought about a comotion amongst the other grownups
"There's more..." said another flyer, this time a young female taking her leader's place to speak "I fear its much worst than just the storms."

The fastbiters did their best to walk against the strong winds and the heavy rain, the clouds boomed loud with terrifying thunder. Blackclaw was not willing to give into it. He was bound determined to get his followers to the distant valley
"We need a break! this storm will kill us all!" called one of the fastbiters
"Nonesense!" called back Blackclaw angrily "Keep moving!"
They pressed onwards, the storm bellowed and the winds roared through the trees. In the distant fields they could see huge funnels bouncing about the lands, tearing up trees as they went. Debris was flying everywhere and Blackclaw had no choice but to call off hthe jouney until the storm blew over
"Find a cave! Now!" he called back at the other fastbiters "Get to safety!"
the lightning cracked recealing the massive cones that extended from the thunder clouds, and there was something else...
something amongst the horizon, a massive black body of sorts... a sharptooth. Not just any sharptooth
'The children of Maganog have arisin.' came a voice in Blackclaw's head
But before Blackclaw could ponder the meaning he was caught in the head by a flying limb, knocking him off his feet and on to the ground. He felt a hot liquid flow over is left eye... blood
he scurried trying to get up, the strong winds almost knocking him down or lifting his body up in the air... he managed to take another glance where the large sharptooth was standing... it was not there
"Get into a cave!" called a distant voice, the fast biters had already made good distance at the moment of Blackclaw's terrible injury. Blackclaw limped forward fighting the winds that were blowing from every which direction. He looked over to see the two funnel clouds form together in a massive vortex, spinning in a large spiral as they brought their chaos upon the land
Soon Blackclaw found a cave and hurried into hit, avoiding more debris, there he waited. the spinning clouds roared a terrible roar and the lightning flashes intensified. It was a storm the fastbiters had never seen before.

Mim returned to the cave and found Longtail gone. She dropped the leaves on the ground inside the cave in one corner out of the way. She then went outside and started to look around the ground for any footsteps, assuming Longtail would not try to fly in this sort of weather. She started doing her best to try to follow the trail of foot prints.
Ducky was playing in the water near her mother's nest in a large enough puddle of water to hold her and a few of her siblings.
Littlefoot was looking around for some of his friends. He had decided to look for a while before heading over to the secret caverns where Chomper and Ruby lived.
Petrie had managed to partially doze off but woke up again to take a look outside to see how the sky was doing.

The storm only got worse, and Zaine knew he had to do something. "That does it. I can't stand around like this. I've got to find the others. They could be in trouble!" With that, Zaine began to run out in the open, braving the intense rain and wind.
"Longtail! Denton! Where are you guys!?" Suddenly, Zaine tripped on a rock and fell onto the ground. "Oww. That really hurt!" Zaine tried to stand back up, but he had twisted his foot off the rock. "Oh great! What am I going to do?" There was no chance he could walk at the moment. Right now, all he could do was yell out.
"Longtail! Denton! Anybody! Please help me!"

"Longtail, the storm is only going to get worse. We should get back into the cave." Vylor shouted above the howling wind.
"We know where a cave is that is really close to here." Argaya commented.

"Well, well, if it isn't Meyla here once again...I thought you'd been eaten by now...so how is the whole solo deal working for you?" said the male Redhorn as he knew that would irritate her. He then frowned as he replied to her original question...
"I almost had the freak! I WILL kill him, and I want to go back...but those other valley fools won't even let me near the wall!" He then looked to Meyla and said "Perhaps you can be of some use...you get one last chance with us....got it?"

Littlefoot was looking to see how his friends were doing when he thought he heard someone yelling. He headed off in the direction and as he got closer the voice sounded familiar. He paused and called out.
Hello! Is someone there ?!?" He yelled out. "Do you need help ?!?"
Ducky was starting to head to where her mother was since things were getting a bit much, and she was getting a little tired anyway.
Mim was attempting to follow Longtail's footprints when she thought she heard something. She paused and closed her eyes to try to tell where the sound came from. She got an idea, despite the wind and started in that direction. She hoped Longtail was ok where ever he was, but it seemed someone needed her immediate help.

Dante ran towards another cave, when he ran into Longtail, Vylor and Argaya.
"Hey gang! Good to see you!"

"Help the likes of you?" scoffed Meyla "Ha! I'm not that niave!"
she stuck her tongue out childishly at Korr and turned away from him with her nose in the air
"Whatever you losers have been up to is not of my interests... After all, I was kicked out of the herd for wrong reasons. Why should I help the one who caused the ban?"

Longtail looked up over Denton as Vylor and Argaya called out to them, and said to Denton "Ya see...eveyone has been looking for you." Then he asked aloud..."Which way is home...I would like to get out of this sky water!"

Korr smiled and said "It seems to me you don't have a choice...it's either help us...or stay out here and starve!" he then said "Those valley fools won;t let any of my herd into that valley, but they haven't met you yet...if you go in my place and bring him to me....yeah...that might work!" Korr looked over to Meyla and simply smiled again.

"Getting home is out of the question. A cave will have to do for tonight." Vylor said.
"I'll lead the way to one that is right by here." Argaya said.

Zaine heard Littlefoot's voice. "Littlefoot! Over here! Please help!" Zaine tried to stand up again, but his injured foot wouldn't allow it. He tried screaming out again, but nobody came at the moment.
This isn't good. I don't think Littlefoot can evade this storm. What now? Zaine then did something he never expected to do.
"Korr!" he began yelling. "Korr!"

Mim and Littlefoot neared the area they heard the cry for help coming from.
"I"m coming." Littlefoot called out.
"Is someone hurt?" Mim called out likewise.
Ducky and her siblings and mother were heading to a place where they could get some shelter from some of the worst parts of the wind and rain.
Petrie hugged his snuggling stick and watched the storm hoping his friends had found safe and comfortable places to get out of the storm.

In the time since Meyla had confronted him...it had begun to rain and with it came a howling wind. And this time Korr could swear he heard someone calling to him... 'It sounds....it sounds like that green longneck from before...Zaine!'
"Just follow my lead Meyla...and maybe I'll let you be my mate..." said Korr with a sly smile.

"I have a bad feeling. There is evil afoot. An enemy is not far away from us." Argaya said, suddenly alert.
"It is familiar, but I can't discover who it is." Vylor added.

Zaine knew he couldn't just stay out there for long, or he would be in big trouble. I have to get out of here. Zaine still couldn't get up, so he used his two front legs to slowly oull himself from his location. He pulled himself along the soaked grass, scraping his knee a little in the process.
"Korr!" he continued to scream. "Where are you!?"

Korr's ears picked up that sound again and he then said "All of you stay here and guard this entrance to the valley." He then turned to Meyla and said "You are coming with me, and when this is over you will be able to rejoin the herd, you have my promise!" Korr then began to run back into the valley looking for the sound or voice he could hear on the wind.

Meyla fought with the wind which was blowing fully in her face when Korr made his suggestion She didnt entirely quiet catch his words but heard something about an opertunity to rejoin the herd if she helped. She however did not catch the part about being a 'mate'
"Alright!" she called back, the wind nearly drowning out her voice "I'll help you if it means letting me be with my family again!"
There was a flash of lightning from the clouds above and a crack of thunder. The storm was so sudden and unexpected.

Where Zaine stood he could see the far stretches of land and the massive rolling thunder clouds as they dominated the skies. His search for Kor had lead him into these dark lands. The wind whipped around him, intensifying as the clouds loomed near. Bits of it spun about like short grey/black tops made of clouds.
The thunder rumbled and the rain started to sprinkle, Zaine saw in the distance five looming figures, tall and mighty. Sharpteeth...
No ordinary beasts these Sharpteeth were, much larger, their bodies apeared rough and bony ith thick scaley hides. They loomed at least nearly a mile away, too far to had noticed young Zaine from where he stood.
They were... massive
Terrifying to even look at. And one bellowed out a mighty roar, eirie and as booming as the thunder from the storm.
They were moving east, Zaine was facing the south watching them in their trek
Soon the rain fell heavy and veiled the images from the tiny longneck
ooc: Congrads, Zaine, your the fist to witness the very sighting of Maganog's offspring =)

Mim and Littlefoot saw each other while they were looking for the source of the yelling.
"Were you calling for help." Mim asked.
"No, I thought you were." Littlefoot said.
"I wonder who it was. With this wind he could be close or far away." She said.
Ducky and Petrie were in their respective places.

"I sense it again. Only closer. I think it is Korr, but I can't be certain." Vylor said.
"I sense something else. It is huge, and dark. It is wicked to a degree I have never felt before." Argaya said.

Zaine was shocked at the army of sharpteeth he saw. "Oh no. They must be readying an attack on the Great Valley! I have to get back and warn the others." The wind picked up immensly, and one of the trees branches fell ontop of his tail, pinning him to the ground. Zaine screamed out in pain, and then noticed another tree branch falling towards him.
"KOR!!!!!!!!" He screamed out as the branch fell closer and closer.

Meanwhile, back with the others who were sheltered within a cave. Denton was alone and away from the large entrance. He was consciously arguing with Kragoth who's voice was still haunting his mind
'Why me?' questioned Denton in thought
'Must I have an answer for everything, kid?' responded Kragoth's disembodied voice
'Well, maybe if its a really good reason, I'd stop asking so many questions.' responded Denton in thought
'I chose you, because you were the closest and most easiest a body I could access. And mind you, kid, I might have been a nasty predator while I was still alive, but in spirit, I'm simply on same level with all spirits, living or dead. Meat eating or leaf. I needed you for a very good reason, and I'm sure you'll acceptit when the time comes.'
Lightning flashed lighting the cave with bright white and the thunder boomed low, the wind continued whistle and moan outside the caverns. Denton sighed and started to pace back and forth as the other dinosaurs watched the storm. Denton in his mind continued to question Kragoth, as much to Kragoth's displeasure
'But why me, and not one of your kind? Why not the minds of your sons?'
'Because, kid, Blackclaw is thrice more stubborn and foolish than you will ever be. And Agnog... he's well, tied up right now if you get my drift...'
Denton turned looking at the others, as he decided not to question Kragoth any further. The lightning flashed again casting silhouettes of the watching dinos.

Blackclaw stepped out as soon as the rain and the wind started to calm. The storm clouds were finally passing revealing the grayed skies, and only a few streams of sunlight peaked from a few holes in the cloudy ceiling. Blackclaw felt his head, which was still sticky from his wound. A parnament scar now right between his eyes. He groaned at the throbing of his head.
The other raptors, or what was left of them started coming out from their hiding as well, it was evident that several of them were lost to the storm, possibly thrown several miles away from the pack.
The loss was truly felt. The other fastbiters were searching for their loved ones, some did find others alive, while some found others.... .....
And still there were a few missing. Blackclaw was beside himself with grief and guilt over the few losses. But he felt he still needed to lead the many surviving on to the valley. His desire for revenge and a grand feast were not so easily thwarted by a nasty thunderstorm.
And so he called the survivors into a meeting.
"Words cannot express my grief. Our brothers and sisters lost to this terrible weather. But I insist, we must keep going. We will still have our feast whether the powers above agree to it or not!"
"Our feast?" interupted a female fastbiter, her two young standing beside her still looking for their lost father "You mean YOUR feast!"
"Now now, miss." responded Blackclaw with a nervous laugh "I'm just trying to do what is right, you know."
"Well, if you want to do something right, why not find my lost mate? Who's going to help me raise my young now?"
Blackclaw gulped and looked at the other fastbiters who were glaring at him just as the female was

Mim went over to Littlefoot, putting her head close so he could easily hear her and she him. "We should get out of this storm, you have any ideas?" She asked him.
Littlefood nodded, "The secret caverns are close where Chomer & Ruby usually, follow me." He said and started to struggle towards the nearby secret caverns against the wind. Mim started to follow then thought of a better idea and grasp his tail with her hands. Now she would be able to easily follow him.
Petrie went to the back of his nest well away from the storm while cuddling his snuggling stick.
Ducky cuddled with her other siblings and their mother who they were using as a shield against the worst of the storm.

"I don't like this storm. I think that Zaine is out there, searching for help." Vylor said.
"And there is the matter of those dark entities. What are they? Wait! I think I'm picking up something from ... Denton! Kragoth has infiltrated his mind!" Argaya exclaimed.

Korr was standing over Zaine, and had used his head to move the massive tree branch out of the way...of course Zaine was now screaming in his ear and the Redhorn's response was to cringe and suck it up.
He then looked down at Zaine, and said "Now you owe me one kid...and I plan to collect on that very soon!" and with a sly smile Korr procceded to lift teh other tree branch off his tail. "Now...come with us..." said Korr gesturing to Meyla behind him "And help me help the valley." He smiled again as he said these words knowing exactly what he wanted.

Zaine tried to stand up, and he felt great pain because of his foot. "Uhh, ok then." He walked up beside Korr, knowing that he was right. Zaine owed him now, no matter what the price. "Korr, thank you for coming, but why did you? I thought you hated me."

Korr noticed the trouble Zaine was having standing up, and looked behind him and asked "Meyla can you help him walk into the valley?" Unfortunately he had to almost scream to be heard over the howling winds.
He then looked down at Zaine as he asked his question and responded "Hate you...I don't hate you...I just wanted to make sure you were okay...you are a youngling after all and we wouldn't want you to be hurt."
Korr frowned however when he continued speaking..."I do however hate that freak of a friend of yours...that longtailed freak..." His face contorted with anger at the thought of Longtail.

Meyla groaned as she fought the wind, she heard Kor's request and hastened heself to join in amongst Korr and the young longneck
"This is not the weather to be adventuring around in!"she called ahead "Shant we atleast find a cave until this thing blows over?"

Littlefoot and Mim made it to the secret caverns. She let go of Littlefoot's tail once they were inside.
"I hope the others are ok." Littlefoot said looking back at the entrance. Then he walked farther into the back away from the entrance.
"We'll have to wait and see, and likely will have a large clean up job to do once the storm is over. At least we know Threehorn will be willing to help with that." Mim said.
Littlefoot nodded, "I want to make sure they are ok, but going out into storm isn't smart, and anyway I promised my grandparents I'd come here.
"Lets rest and see if we can find a place out of this wind." Mim said. Littlefoot nodded.
"Follow me, Chomper showed me around this place a few times. I know it pretty well." He said and lead her deeper into the caverns.

Ducky was huddled up against her mother as were her siblings and most of the wind was blocked by their mother.
The sound of the rain and snuggling with his snuggling stuck had lulled Petrie into a sleep.

"Can we not talk about him for now?" Zaine suggested. "It seems all it does is frustrate you, so let's save you that much." He kept limping on, but he couldn't forget what Kor had just said about making sure he was ok.
"This may seem strange, but I had a feeling we would meet up again. When I last saw you, something told me that you would find me again, and I had hoped it would have been on better circumstances. I guess that doesn't apply here," he gestured the storm.

Vylor had decided to see what the massive entities were. So he and Argaya ventured out of the cave to search. They followed their mental perception to a hill.
"This is not looking good." He said when he saw the source of the feeling. The group of massive sharpteeth were not able to see the two longnecks, but Vylor and Argaya could see them.

"There's just a silly misunderstanding!" declared Blackclaw as his fellow fastbiters surrounded him with threatening glares
"I didn't see this storm coming... why are you blaming me for it? I said I was sorry for our losses. Please.. cant we all just... get along?"
"We trusted you as our leader" said the female "When the storm came, you chose to face it instead of getting the herd to safety. Why should we accept your leadership?"
Before Blackclaw could answer, there was a terrible bellowing sound, a roar. It was very close. The raptors turned to see what had made it...
The trees nearby were parting from five areas and five massive bodies loomed above the tree tops. The fastbiters looked up at the large sharpteeth, bewildered by their size.
"The Children of Maganog..." said Blackclaw under his breath, his eyes wide with fright.
The sharpteeth looked down at the fastbiters hungrily
"They... they're on our side, aren't they?" asked the female, her young hiding behind her for their own safety. And what fallowed next was something they did not expect and it disturbed them greatly. One of the large beasts lunged forward, fast as lightning it seemed and snapped his teeth on one of the fastbiters. His terrible teeth crushing the hapless fastbiter and killing it instantly in his mouth.
At this sign, the fastbiters all turned and ran, the giant five gave pursuit, chasing them through the forest. Their roars bellowed and thundered throughout the lands, causing thunderous tremors in the earth that they quaked upon.

'Well well, if it isnt my old friend.' said Kragoth's voice. Denton had sighted Syrius near the cave, he was fighting his way through the strong winds and rains that were beating him back 'Syrius...'
'You know him?' asked Denton
'Of coarse I do... he and I have had a history together as major enemies...'
'Why was that?' asked Denton
'Because that Duckbill and his uncle killed my father...'
As he said this, Syrius managed to climb into the cave with the help of the other dinos
"This is quiet the weather." he said

Ducky and Petrie slept on, as best as they could with the storm in Ducky's case.
Littlefoot and Mim walked around inside the secret caverns with Littlefoot giving Mim a tour of the caves.
Littlefoot pointed with one of his front feet at a cave entrance not to far away, "That one is the cave of many voices, it is a sort of talk back." He said before leading her on.

Longtail was trying to find a good place to sleep, but he couldn't he was too worried about his uncle and aunt. He paced around the cave for a while longer and then was about to walk out of the cave once more, when a hand stopped him...and the voice that followed made it clear who it was...
"Where do you think you're going my nephew?" Longtail whipped around and shouted "UNCLE CYRIX!!" the two immediately imberaced each other and stayed that way for a few more moments. Cyrix then however took out his fustration:
"What did I tell you about leaving the cave without me or your aunt being there?!?" Longtail cringed at the sternness of his uncles voice, but he smiled and said "But uncle I'm fine...really see...that silly wind and sky water can't stop me."
Cyrix sighed with a smile and said "Yes, and that's what I'm afraid of."

"Darkness approaches. Five mammoth sharpteeth are heading in this direction. We are all in danger!" Vylor said as he slid to a stop in front of Cyrix and Longtail.
Argaya came in a few seconds later. She exclaimed, "We must find shelter until we can fight these behemoths."

Blackclaw tripped over a limb as the other raptors fled on ahead of him. The Five were right behind Blackclaw and he lifted his head wher ehe lay, glancing back at the giant predators. The five of them stopped suddenly, looking down at him. Their terrible eyes seemed to dig deep into him as they stared.
'Blackclaw.' hissed a terrible voice in his head. Blackclaw looked up seeing the leader of The Five, twice more uglier than his behomoth siblings. The beast seemed to be communicating to Blackclaw through thoughts,and the voice was terrible to hear
'You are now... mine.' Said the voice. Blackclaw whimpered and struggled, nearly choking and gurgling for words in his own fright.
The leading Sharptooth then lunged forth and Blackclaw's screams could be heard all across the lands.

Longtail blinked several times and looked around as if searching for someone and then asked "Did anyone else hear something...toher than the storm outside?" Cyrix looked at his nephew and said "No...you must be tired from being out in the skywater so long...come sit and rest."
Cyrix then looked to Vylor and Argaya and said "We will deal with these sharpteeth when the time comes, until then we can do nothing unless the storm passes!

Littlefoot led Mim in a tour of some parts of the Secret Caverns then they made their way over to a small underground stream. Littlefoot went over to get some water. He made a bit of a face as he drank some.
"This water tastes different." He said. Mim went over to take a small drink herself.
"I think it is due to the ground here being different then outside. I've tasted water that tastes like this inside caves sometimes before. It's different, then outside ground water." Mim said.
Littlefoot nods, "After this perhaps we should find a place to rest, I'm getting a little tired." He said. Mim nodded.
"Usually no better place in a storm then in a dry safe cave." She said.
Ducky & Petrie slept on.

"I don't like this. It is too foreboding. Those sharpteeth were not ordinary sharpteeth." Vylor said.
Argaya suddenly had a thought. "Perhaps that if we catch a sharptooth, we can get answers from the sharptooth. Not the massive ones, though." She said.

ooc: No sense in letting this RP die, it is in my best of interest to finish it.
Soon the storm began to dissipate from over the Great Valley, the darker more violent portions loomed in the south and was moving westwards, away from the valley.
The wind started to calm, and the rain fell in patches. The sun was beaming through and blue sky could be seen from behind the gray feathers of rain clouds.
The dinosaurs of the valley started to come out from their shelter only to see their home a muddled mess.

Ducky woke up and looked around at the mess. "Some mud is fun to play in but there is also to much mud, yes there is. It looks like everyone will be busy cleaning up and no time to play, no, no, no." She said shaking her head. Though she knew the importance of cleaning up, she also wished it wasn't necessary.
Petrie woke up and looked out from his nest. He saw some sticks of the nest had been blown away or messed up and looking out at the valley he saw what a huge mess the place looked.
Littlefoot and Mim were resting in the secret caverns and at first were not aware the storm had stopped since they were in far enough that even while resting they could not hear it.

"We should get back now that the storm is over. A new day could mean new hopes." Argaya said.
"Agreed. Longtail, Cyrix, Denton, Syrius, are you four coming now or later?" Vylor asked.

"I suppose so..." said Denton, his eyes still on Syrius who was napping at the entrance of the cave
'I suppose I should pay my old friend a visit.' came Kragoth's voice
ooc: Is it me, or has the RP section completely slowed down over the past two weeks?

ooc: It seems to have slowed down. Not sure if it is due to exams in college, that time of the year or other reasons.

ooc: i've noticed also how much the section has slowed down, mainly because i haven't replied here in a while. i am trying to get active again.
Zaine knew he needed Kor's help more than ever now, but he wasn't sure if Kor would accept his request. It didn't matter, he had to ask him.
"Kor, I don't know what you meant by "help me help the valley", but right now we're in big trouble. I just saw a group of five giant sharpteeth walk by, and I have a bad feeling they're going to attack the valley."

Ducky started helping her mother and siblings get started on cleaning up the area around where their nest was, leaving and piling together materials that looked like they would make a good nest building material.
Once the rain had stopped Petrie flew off from his nest to see how things were in the great valley and how his friends were doing.
Mim and Littlefoot awoke from the nap they were having and decided to go and check to see if the sky water and such had stopped. They paused at the entrance as they looked out and saw what things looked like.
"It's a mess." Littlefoot said.
Mim nodded, "Yes, it is quite a mess, but at least we were out of the worst of it, I'm sure the others made it through ok as well." She said.
"I hope they did." Littlefoot said.

'Well, I'll stay here and tell them where everyone else is. Argaya, why don't you help everyone else clean up?' Vylor said.
'Okay. I'll take Denton with me.' Argaya replied.

Longtail looked up to his uncle Cyrix and asked "Can I go help with the cleanup?" Cyrix didn't hesitate with an answer as he nodded his head and replied "Of course...I'll be coming with you as well...just to keep an eye on you so you don't hurt yourself." Longtail however groaned and whined "I'm doing just fine uncle Cyrix...just trust me about this!" Cyrix was expecting this and said "I do, but I just want to make sure you are safe...now lets get going."

Korr frowned at what Zaine had said and answered "If that is true then I'll help the valley and you any way I can. However when this adventure of ours is over, I will need something from you and the others." Korr then looked over to Meyla and asked "How are you doing seeing as how the storm is over?"

At first, Zaine was happy to hear Kor would help, but then he heard the catch and knew what he would want. "Let me guess, you want Longtail? Isn't there any way the two of you can settle your differences without violence?"

Petrie flew towards the secret caverns figuring some of his friends must have taken refuge there from the storm. He saw Littlefoot and Mim and landed near them on a branch on the ground.
"Me think some come here. Me see place mess from above." Petrie said.
"How are the others?" Littlefoot asked.
"Me no know, me come here first from from me nest." Petrie said shrugging.
"They'll likely be busy cleaning up. Lets get started cleaning up around here then we can work our way to one of the nest areas of the others." Mim said.
"Good idea." Littlefoot said and the 3 of them got started cleaning up the area around the entrance to the Secret Caverns.
Ducky and her siblings got started helping their mother move some things around to help clean up their area. Ducky and the others took a bit longer since they took some time to play in the mud now and then.

At first Korr thought about Zaines qustion and said "Perhaps..." he then seemed lost in his thoughts as he wondered what difference it would make trying to befriend Longtail...then Korr stomped his foot on the ground and shouted "NO!" he then took a deep breath and said softer..."No...I can't promise you I won't hurt him...but just for you Zaine..when I'm done with what I need from him....I'll bring him back."

Zaine nodded. "As long as you don't kill him." He then thoughtfor a moment. "I guess I really can't understand why you want to hurt him so bad unless I know the pain you felt. Please, could you tell me what happened?"

'Argaya, wouldn't you get back faster while flying?' Vylor said with a smile.
'You're right! Give me a second, Denton.' Argaya said. She then closed her eyes for clarity of thought. She then began glowing silver, and when the light stopped, she was her dragon form. Her size was large enough for Denton to ride on her without discomfort from either the rider of herself.
Coming? she projected into Denton's mind.

Zaine shook his head. "Never mind. You don't have to tell me. It's something personal from your life, and it's not my place to ask about it." He sighed a little. "I guess I just want to say that I've felt the pain you feel."

"Where should we head to first?" Littlefoot asked.
"Towards where your grandparents usually are so they can be told you are ok." Mim said.
"Ok." Littlefoot said.
Mim, Littlefoot and Petrie cleared the way and did some cleaning up as they made their way first towards where His and his grandparent's nest was.
Ducky paused in her cleaning up to jump into a few puddles again and to wonder how her friends were doing. Likely as busy as she was, she thought.

Korr figured there was no harm in telling the child...after all he was going to get the freak anyway, so he said "Okay kid it goes like this...My herd and I were wandering around and he claimed he was trying to help us, but he led a entire pack of fast-bitters and sharpteeth to us." Korr sighed as he remembered the thought...then he continued...
"Then he said he was trying to save my mate, who was going to fall over a cliff side...but then at the very last moment...he stopped and let a fast biter take her completly over the edge, and he watched....HE JUST WATCHED!" Korr stomped his foot on the ground and looked down at Zaine and said "That is why that freak is going to feel my pain...and then some!"

Zaine was shocked to hear this. "I'm so sorry about your loss, but frogive me, it's just too hard for me to believe Longtail would do such a thing." Could he really do something like that?
"Well, here's my story. You're lucky enough to still have somewhat of a herd with you. I don't have anyone left. My entire herd was attacked by sharpteeth, and then the big earthshake happened. Those who weren't already dead fell beneath the ground. You have no idea how hard it was for me to travel alone to the Great Valley just to find none of my herd here. Longtail was one of the first to accept me into my group of friends. They are pretty much all I've got."

Littlefoot and the others continued, clearing what they could along their path towards where Littlefoots Grandparents and his nest was. Littlefoot ran forward to tell his grandparents he was ok and where he had been.
Mim and Petrie rested near Littlefoot's nest. They were all somewhat tired from the cleaning and clearing they had done on the way here.
Ducky and the others rested a bit from what they had been doing.

Korr was stunned, he didn't believe a longneck could survive on his own...especially a hatchling...but after hearing Zaine's story...he was convinced that longnecks were stronger than he thought. "Hey Zaine, when this is all over, would you like to travel with my herd...my son could always use another friend other than the red horns."
Longtail however at that moment was with the help of his uncle using his tail to clear away rubble and debris from the storm, and it was working rather well...at least Cyrix thought so...his nephew was bored again...and wanted to make a game out of cleaning up...but Cyrix forbid it...again. So together they continued to clean the surrounding area, slowly but effectivly.

"I... uh... I guess..." said the young longneck, shocked by the sudden formation.
He little realized hat Kragoth's voice was not with him at that momment.

Syrius lay asleep, dreaming a wonderful dream of his childhood
"Uncle Ellith!" cried out a much younger Syrius, now Ducky's age. And he ran up to a larger duckbill
"Hey there, little guy." said Ellith with a smile "Ready for another adventure?"
"I've been ready." Said young Syrius smiling up at his favorite uncle "Where are we going today?"
"Its a surprise" chuckled Ellith "You'll see when you get there."
Syrius smiled, he loved surprises. Ellith lowered his head so that Syrius could climb aboard, but as Syrius reached up to do so Ellith suddenly vanished and the scenery before him changed just as fast as Ellith's disappearance. Syrius looked around him, the place was dark. Like a cave. He then looked down at himself, seeing he was his old self again
"Sorry to ruin your fun" came a hissing voice, Syrius looked up to see the spitting image of his greatest enemy
"Kragoth..." he said "what do you want?"
"What does any old friend want?" said Kragoth. "A reunion... a chance to catch up on old times."

The fastbiters finally gathered after a long escape from The Five. They each looked back from where they came, some were in a great comotion. Shocked by the sharptooth attack, and some chattered about their leader, who was aparently rex kibble.
"Blackclaw is dead!" declared one of the fastbiters "Our leader, gone. Where do we go from here?"
but then suddenly there was a new unexpected outcry
"Wait! Look! He lives!"
They all turned to look. and up atop a high hill stood the familiar image of Blackclaw... but something was different. His eyes glowed a terrible red, and the markings on his body seemed more pale.
Slowly Blackclaw decended from the hill and towards the fastbiter pack. Each eye on him with awestruck expressions
"Let us go to the valley." he said, his voice deeper and more terrifying. He was not himself.

Mey;a finally decided to move faster to catch up with Kor and his new longneck friend
"You two having a guy talk?" she giggled

OOC: I had mentioned in the Discussion about Vylor and Argaya. Remember? I'll get my other surprise out now.
Vylor, would you help him? Argaya asked Vylor. Vylor suddenly transformed into his elvish form.
"Sure thing, Argaya." He replied. He then proceeded to help Denton onto Argaya. He then jumped around her neck to help the longneck keep a firm grip. "Argaya, take off!" he said, and the silver dragon spread her wings and took off.

Zaine couldn't help now but smile. He would have loved to join Kor and his herd, especially since the two of them were growing such a connection. "I know I may be ditching my friends, but nobody's ever offered something like this to me before. I would love to join you guys!"

Mim, Petrie and Litttlefoot stood near his nest. "Where do you think we should go to next? i was thinking Ducky's mother's nest area, it's not far from here." Littlefoot said.
Petrie nodded, "Me like that. We see how she do." He said.
Mim nodded as well. "I agree, and maybe we can help them, if they need any help." She said looking around, "It looks like your grandparents already have this area fairly well cleared out."
The group of three headed over to where Ducky's mother's nest area was, walking at their usual pace with Petrie riding on Littlefoot.
"I hope they are ok." Littlefoot said.
"I'm sure they made it through ok, Ducky is likely playing in the mud with her brothers and sisters." Mim said smiling a bit, thinking of how much she enjoyed playing in the mud when she was about Ducky's age and still did sometimes.

Meanwhile, Torgo, who had been keeping a close watch over the fastbiter herds was watching from a distance when Blackclaw made his reappearance. something about Blackclaw wasn't right. He appeared much more darker and his eyes, even from a distance, struck fear in all who looked into them.
"The master... is within him." said Togo, and he was clearly trembling in fear at the thought. Could it be true? Maganog's spirit resided within Blackclaw?
When Blackclaw spoke, his voice was carried across the land in a nasty echo, it boomed like thunder and it was deep and menacing. This new character about Blackclaw put fear into the fastbitter herds and they followed without question, if not fled from him in fear of what he'd possibly be able to do to them.
Torgo turned and fled the scene. He knew where he must go. The Great Valley. Even as he were a fastbiter himself, he did not think any living mortal, leaf eater or meat eater should ever suffer the wrath of his master. He was betraying his master. He wanted Maganog to be gone from him, and his control over him to diminish. Perhaps he could try to explain this to the valley residence, if they don't kill him first... it was worth a try.

Korr smiled at Meyla's comment and said "Something like that, now let's see if we can get an audience with the rest of the valley herd...hey Zaine do you think you could talk some of the valley residents into letting me and Meyla stay for a while?"
However at that point in time Longtail got a cold feeling in his belly and he looked around as if expecting something....Cyrix took note of this... and said "Is something wrong my nephew? You look like you've seen a spirit?" Longtail shook his head and replied "No...it was nothing uncle...just a bad wind."

Zaine nodded. "I could certainly try. I'm not sure how Longtail is going to take this, but I'm sure we can arrange something." This is really great! With Kor's help, we can easily protect the valley from those gigantic sharpteeth. Then he remembered that he never told Kor about the voice he heard. If I'm really going to get Kor's trust, I have to tell him. "Umm, Kor, I know this may be a bad time, and I know you are already calling Longtail a freak, but I'm not so normal either. I've been hearing a voice in my mind, but I don't know who she is."

Mim and the others made their way to where Ducky's mother's nest was.
"Ducky how are things going?" Littlefoot asked.
Petrie flew off of Littlefoot's back and landed near where Ducky was.
"Things look no messy." Petrie said looking around a bit.
Mim stood beside Littlefoot.
Ducky waved to the others, "We are doing well, we are. We are mainly finished up clearing up around here. " She said, "We were a bit muddy from playing earlier but we've cleaned up, we have." She said nodding. Their mother had made them clean up a bit before eating. Her other brothers and sisters were resting in various areas around, except for a few who were still eating a bit.

After a while, Zaine could finally see familiar faces. "It's my friends! I'm sorry Kor, but we can talk about the voice later. Come on! They'll be happy to see me, and I'm sure they will let you guys stay with us." He smiled and limped towards Littlefoot and the others.
"Littlefoot! Littlefoot!"

Korr frowned and continued to help Zaine walk towards the group of near Ducky's nest...he kept his head low...and just as Zaine and Korr stepped out into the light...Longtail and Cyrix walked out from behind a nearby tree. and Longtail froze in place.
He was angry...Cyrix could see that much, but to the rainbow faces amazment...Longtail was standing completely still either out of shock...or trying not to throw himself at the Red horn...'Its probably both.' thought Cyrix to himself as he held Longtail with his claws and stepped forward clearing his throat to get everyone's attention...

Littlefoot looked at Zaine with a smile on his face, "Zaine how are you?" Then he noticed his limping, "It looks like you are hurt what happened?" He asked as he stepped closer to where Zaine was.
Mim saw Kor and remained still but relaxed to see what his next move would be or what he would say.
"It looks like you are hurt, it does, what happeneded?" Ducky asked with concern on her fact.
"It look not to bad." Petrie said nodding.

Zaine looked down at his foot. "Oh, it's really nothing. I almost got squashed by a falling tree, but Kor saved me." He smiled and looked at Kor. "He offered to help defend the Great Valley against the giant sharpteeth."

"Sharpteeth are heading towards the great valley? The grownups need to be told." Littlefoot said.
"That is bad, it is." Ducky said with the expression of fear on her face.
"Sharptooths here?" Petrie said with obvious fear in his voice and face. He held on tighter to Littlefoot and looked around expecting a sharptooth to jump out at him at any second.
Mim nods, "Indeed they must, do you know which entrance they are heading towards?" She asked.

Zaine shook his head. "I only caught a glimpse of them, but I saw them heading for the valley, and they could be here any minute. Kor offered to help defend, but he was wondering if he could stay here with us for a little bit."

Korr gave a sheepish smile as he waited for everyones' response. However he thought to himself 'Even if they don't let me stay...I'll still be here to help with those giant sharpteeth Zaine spoke of before.' Korr then stepped forward and said "Please...just let me stay a few bright circles...just until we can be sure that those five giant sharpteeth don't come here."

Mim looks towards the meeting place, "If they are close then there may be no time for the others to meet and tell them. Petrie you go and tell some fliers to spread the word to the adults." Mim said then looked at Kor, "I guess if you wish to help defend the great valley you can. We can discuss your staying for a bit at the meeting place with the other resident adults when there is time after this incident. And don't try to use the distraction to get your revenge on Longtail." Mim said, not really trusting Kor, though she would admit folks could change their minds, she didn't see any reason why he'd change from his ultimate goal.
"Me go." Petrie said and flew off to head to tell some adults and fliers so the news could spread about the sharpteeth seen heading towards the valley so they could properly prepare themselves and get the young ones to a saft place, or as safe as they could with the time they had.
"We'll help." Littlefoot said.
Mim nodded, "I'd rather you young ones get to saftey, but we may need your help here and you and your friends have and experience in dealing with Sharpteeth in the past." Mim said.
"We have, we have."Ducky said, though she was cared and not sure what she could do.
"Ducky you stay on Littlefood and hold in tight, but not to tight." Mim said and Ducky nodded.

Zaine nodded. "Well I'm staying for sure. There's no chance of anyone telling me to leave now." He then looked over at Longtail and noticed his uneasiness. Zaine couldn't really blame him. After all, he brought Longtail's enemy here, and Kor did mention he would get his revenge on him. Zaine knew he had to convince him that Kor meant well. "Longtail, can I talk to you privately?"

If Zaine hadn't talked directly to Longtail he may not have responded, but as it turned out Zaine's question snapped Longtail from his private thoughts, and for a moment he looked Zaine in the eyes and didn't say anything, but after a moment of silence he nodded his head and replied "Yeah, sure."
'I still can't believe Zaine brought Korr here...but Zaine did look hurt, but still...it's KORR! He hates me! Well, this can only get worse, but I'll talk to Zaine first.' thought Longtail as Zaine, his uncle Cyrix and himself walked off to speak.
Korr on the other hand was also thinking to himself 'Maybe the freak deserves another chance...I don't know anymore, I want my revenge on him for killing my mate, but...for some reason I just don't want to hurt him. No! This is my one and only other chance I may get, and Zaine is going to help me do it. But Longtail...that freak...is just a hatchling....just like Zaine...maybe...my revenge can be different.' Korr then began to smile as he thought how Zaine was already helping him gain Longtail's trust and all he had to do was wait for the right time to strike.

Mim hmms to herself as she sees Korr smile, "Looks like my first suspicion was correct." She said.

Torgo steadily climbed up the rock wall to the best of his abilities, picking each step carefully. The great stone walls were before him. He had made a great deal of haste trying to get to the valley before Blackclaw and his leaders did.
He wobbled about on occasions, his balance was never perfect, nor his character or ability to speak. Torgo was Torgo after all, a fastbiter who had long since been a slave to his Master, Maganog, even though the mighty sharptooth had been long dead, the beast haunted Torgo's dreams and tormented him, making him do his every bidding.
The dreams had increased rampantly since Torgo plotted to betray his Master, his desires for this had been strong since Maganog first came to him in spirit and bent the poor fastbiter to his whims.
Maganog's wrath was in fact taking its toll on Torgo, making each step Torgo made towards the valley heavier and more harder to bear
'You will fail, Torgo... and you will Die.' came his Master's voice, almost sounding as a wisp of wind, but the presence was there and it made Torgo temporarily freeze in place, his eyes were blocked out and in vision he saw his Master standing before him, glairing down upon him. Maganog, the mightiest of any Sharptooth of his time stood before him, his eyes drilled into Torgo's mind and spirit and it tormented him
'I warn you, Torgo, turn back, or I will destroy you, and your spirit will forever torment in my wrath.'
"No!" declared Torgo, after finding some bravery to speak "I want you gone! I want you to leave me... A master you are no more to me! I am free!"
Maganog's dreadful gaze seemed to increase upon Torgo, and Torgo felt a terrible burning sensation in his body, he trembled in pain as if Maganog's eyes were two extreamly hot suns burning into him, waves of extream heat were burning into the fastbiter, and he struggled to keep his footing
"Leave me, Maganog!" He demanded and he forced himself to glare up at Maganog "Be gone from me! BE GONE FROM ME!"
There was a terrible flash and Torgo found himself back in reality again, only he was falling, he had stumbled from his Master's control and was now falling, tumbling, hitting every rock and tree on his way down. He cried in agony as his body fell hard against a rock
CRACK!
and he lay still... still breathing, but very hurt on his side.

Argaya dropped out of the sky with Denton and Vylor at the base of her neck.
'I apologise for the inconvenience, but what is going on here?' Vylor asked.

Zaine brought Longtail and Cyrix over to the side to speak with him. "Look, I know you think I'm crazy bringing Kor here, but I had to. He saved my life during that storm, and he offered to help our valley. I realize the grudge you two feel, but I think there is chance for him to turn over a new league." He then looked over at Kor, and then back at Longtail. "Besides, he offered me... something. I wasn't sure how to respond, but..." He didn't want to tell Longtail that he was leaving the valley for good.

As he heard Zaine speaking, his eyes narrowed into slits, and his breathing became heavy and labored as he struggled to maintain his attitude. He then stepped closer to Zaine until the two of them were face to face, and he looked his friend straight in the eyes as he said "You absolutely cannot trust Korr, he is a liar and is willing to do anything to get at me, even turn my friends against me...and if you trust him so much then..."
Unfortunately Longtail never finished that sentence as Cyrix cut in and said "Longtail! That is enough..." he then walked over to Zaine and pulled Longtail away and continued speaking "Now Zaine...if Korr is really telling the truth and he wants to help, then we will let him, however if Korr made you a promise to try and get at Longtail we will not hesitate to take action...do you understand?"

'Zaine, have you seen those massive sharpteeth? And where were you last night?' Vylor asked the young longneck as he helped Denton dismount Argaya.

Zaine heard Vylor's question, but he didn't answer. He couldn't keep his eyes off of Longtail. He was shocked at his comment. Zaine knew that Longtail was most likely going to tell him to leave the valley. He then couldn't control his anger. "I was only trying to help, but I guess it went unappreciated!" He then turned around and ran as fast as he could away from the group. He felt numerous bursts of pain in his foot, but at the moment he didn't seem to care. He finally got back to his sleeping place and knelt down. How could he say that to me? He barried his head in his legs and began to cry a little.

Mim watched the goings on with no comment for now. She wondered what was really going on and what Korr was really up to. Based on his past actions she didn't trust him, though she did admit someone could change, she doubted he would. She looked at Cyrix, "What do you think dear?" She asked.
Littlefoot followed Zaine to where he was to try to comfort him.
Petrie was a bit confused so flew up to a tree branch to watch things as they happened till they started to make sense.
Ducky remained on Littlefoot's back. She stayed there since she guessed he was going to try to comfort Zaine and she wished to help do that also.

Longtail couldn't tell what he was feeling, it was a mixture of anger, sorrow, and anxiatey towards several things. But the biggest feeling he had was fear....the fear that he may lose a good friend, and so without a second thought he raced after Zaine hoping to catch up with him and apologize to his friend.
Cyrix however walked over to where Mim was standing and heard her question and replied "To be honest i don't know, but I don't trust Korr, but if he speaks the truth we may have to let him stay...although I for one forbid it!"

Zaine had been crying for what seemed like an hour until he finally fell asleep. Unfortunately, it didn't help because he began to have a nightmare.
He saw the five big sharpteeth running through the valley, destroying everything in their path. Zaine could only look around and watch the disaster take place. The worst part was seeing his friends in trouble, especially Longtail. Kor was nowhere to be found, and one of the sharpteeth came after Zaine.
He screamed himself awake and began to breathe heavily. He looked around and saw that everything was still the same. He sighed and rested his head on his legs. Thank goodness that was only a dream... or was it? What if it was a warning of some kind? What if the valley is in real danger? What if my friends...

Longtail had been standing near Zaine while he was dreaming, and still feeling guilty about what he had said, he walked over to Zaine and cleared his throat to get his attention...

'Longtail, let me speak with him. Something happened in his head.' Vylor said.
'Zaine, what did you see?' Vylor asked.

Zaine sill couldn't believe what he saw. "The sharpteeth... they will run right through the valley... and they will destroy it... Everyone... everyone... will..." Zaine couldn't say it. He didn't want to, but unfortunately he had to. "Everyone will die!"

Hearing what Zaine said only made him feel worse...and he shed a single tear, and said to Zaine "I-I'm sorry...I..I'm just not sure Korr is telling you the whole truth...I just want to make sure you're safe...you are one of my best friends."

Zaine shed a tear as well. "Longtail, I never got to tell you, but Kor... he offered to take me into his herd. Not as a prisoner though, just as... a family member." He bowed his head. "I don't knw what to do. Apart from that, the sharpteeth are on their way here." He looked up at the others. "I don't want to lose you like I lost my family."

Vylor saw the seriousness of the situation. 'We must prepare for attack. If we prepare, then we may have a chance. Korr, we will need your help. And your herd's help as well. Are you willing to help us this once?' he said.

Longtail gave a small smile as he replied "Maybe, I've been to hard with Korr, but he's been hunting me for so long...but I know he only misses his mate, but still...all he's ever thought about was killing me...but...if his offer makes you happy...then I have no right to interfere."

Zaine nodded. "I can't worry about that right now though." He slowly got up, wincing a little from his foot. "I have to do something to help. I don't want sharpteeth to come crashing our home, especially these five giant ones."

"Arrgh..." Ateo groaned as he pushed another boulder out of the way. That was one heck of a storm, he had to admit to himself. The strong winds had caused some of the rocks to come loose and had trapped him inside his own cave. But he was a strong dinosaur, at least strong enough to move some of the boulders out of the way.
He had eventually started to see some light breaking through, and he started to feel relieved. It wouldn't be long before he was finally free. He was feeling very hungry now. A trip into the Great Valley sounded like a great idea..if only he could get this one boulder loose.
He grunted as he bared his teeth in frustration. "Come on... come loose already!"

Longtail immediately stepped forward and said "Oh no not no your bad leg...you have to relax and take it easy...please, besides no matter how big they are...I'll take them all down! So you have nothing to worry about!"

'Longtail, I advise you not to be so arrogant. These sharpteeth are massive.' Vylor said.

"I don't know about Kor, it seems odd for his feelings to suddenly change." Littlefoto said who had stayed close to Zaine as he slept, "I do hope his offers are real."
"Someone can change, but one must be careful dealing with some people, yes one must." Ducky said.

Mim nodded, "It does seem unusual for his feelings to suddenly change with no reason." She said thinking a bit of Kor's past behavior that she had observed.
"Me remember him being mean." Petrie said from his resting spot nearby.

"Come on...just a little more..." Ateo muttered to himself as he strained to push one more boulder. With a little more strength, he managed to pop it loose, creating an opening large enough for him to squeeze through. As he stood outside of his cave, and took a good look at all the boulders that still cluttered the entrance, he whistled. "Well at least sharpteeth won't be able to get in."
He turned towards the valley and walked along the path, eager to get inside the valley and eat.

Zaine shook his head. "My foot will be fine. I'm more concerned with the safety of the valley, and right now I don't want to talk about Kor." He looked at the others. "So what should we do?"

Longtail still wasn't sure about Zaine's injuries but he did trust him to make up his mind as he replied "Well, we still don't know when they are going to get here, but if Vylor and Argaya would be kind enough to go spread the word...I'm sure the other elders will think of something. However in the meantime Zaine and I will pay Korr a little visit..."

Littlefoot nods, "If they don't mind, and maybe Petrie can too. 3 can spread the word faster then 2. " He said. "And in a cases like this the faster the word can get out the better."
Ducky nods, "What will the rest of us do? We have to decide, we do." Ducky nodded, not wanting to just go to someplace safe like the adults would want. It would be very scary but she'd prefer to be doing something with her friends then sitting somewhere safe doing nothing.

Ateo felt his paws touch the grassy earth of the valley, and took a few sniffs. He saw a tree that seemed to be calling out his name. Feeling his stomach growl, he walked over and began to eat. As he ate he began to think of the dinosaurs he'd saw before, sometime before the storm. He recalled a strange-looking flyer injured. He wondered if he should try to find him and see if he was any better. Perhaps he should, he thought.

Zaine nodded. "Look, Kor promised me he wouldn't kill you. That much I know for a fact he won't do. I'll go with you, but I'll remain hidden so in case he does try anything against you I can stop him." He noticed that Longtail was still concerned about his foot. "And don't worry about my foot. It'll heal eventually."

Longtail turned back to Zaine and said "Yes, your leg will heal, but not if you keep running around on it..." he then laughed and said "But you always did put others before yourself...just like me...so let's go!"

'Argaya, if you would be so kind, spread the word.' Vylor said.
Argaya nodded, and then Vylor hopped into the hollow while Argaya spread her wings.

"I guess we'll have to deal with Kor in time. Eventually his true intentions will show themselves, whether he is really telling the truth or not." Mim said.
"Me hope he telling truth." Petrie said.

Littlefoot nods, "If you'd rather spread the word yourselves, good luck." He said and got ready to head back towards where the others were. Ducky nodded in agreeing with Littlefoot about wishing them luck.

Cyrix for a moment didn't respond to Mim's comment as he stared at Korr with a face made of stone...he then blinked and said "I hope you are right Mim...both for Korr, and for Longtail's sake."
Korr on the other hand was still standing perfectly still just letting his eyes wander about...when he decided to speak to Mim "Excuse me miss Rainbow face...but can you tell me which way the watering hole is...walking through that storm has made me thirsty?"

Mim nods and points in a direction, "The closest one is in that direction, it's very close." She said.
Petrie nodded, "It close." He said.

Korr nodded, but before he could say thank you...Cyrix was standing in front of him, as he said "I'm coming with you...just to be safe...don't want a repeat of last time." Korr nodded again and said to Mim "thank you ma'am, okay Cyrix lets go." and the two began to walk towards the watering hole. just as they were walking away Cyrix looked back to Mim and using his tail asked her to follow them.

Ateo lowered himself to the ground and licked his lips. He decided before he went to look for anyone he should get something to drink to quench his thirst. He turned his head towards the direction of the nearest watering hole and headed off in that direction.

Seeing what Cyrix did with his tail she sets out a bit behind them to follow them as stealthy as she can also using hiding places.
Petrie not sure what was going on and seeing Mim being stealthy following the other two and being curious what was going on flew into the air and flew towards a nearby tall tree to watch, and also to look around to see where his friends had gotten off too and see if they were doing anything fun since he was starting to get bored and wanted to do something fun or interesting, that was preferably non scary.

It didn't take Korr and Cyrix long to get to the watering hole, and Korr indeed took a drink from the water, but after he was done he turned to Cyrix and began to speak... "Listen Cyrix, I know you and your nephew have hostile feelings towards me, but I need you to trust me that, I will help the valley when it is in danger!"
Cyrix snorted in response as he said "Right...just so you can use that to get to Longtail, don't try to fool me Redhorn." Korr then sighed and looked away, noting something moving in the bushes. 'It looks like a swimmer...' said Korr to himself.

The white and black plateosaurus soon arrived at the watering hole. Without taking a look around at the surroundings, he went up to the water and bent his head down for a drink. He felt satisfied as the cool water quenched his thirst.

Argaya flew up and flew towards the center of the Valley. When she landed, she let out a deafening roar that could be heard reverberating around the valley.

Mim paused in her hiding place to watch Cyrix and Korr. Petrie looked around and used his hand to shield his eyes as he looked around for his friends again. He thought he saw them and continued to look to see if he could see what they were up to.
Littlefoot walked over to a nearby bush, getting close enough so Ducky could get some leaves. "Might as well get in a snack now, we might be a bit to busy later." He said looking at Ducky sitting on his back. He started to eat a few leaves.
Ducky nodded, "We have time now and may not when they attack, we may not." She said agreeing with Littlefoot.
Ducky did the same, pulling off one she could reach from Littlefoot's back and started to eat it.

Korr walked over to Syrius and said "Hello again...mind if I join you?" Cyrix meanwhile just stood by and watched for any supisuous activity from Korr, also knowing Mim was somewhere hiding close by.

Zaine's foot had begun to heal, so he could at least walk on it, just not run. He walked over to Longtail. "I'm really sorry about bringing Korr here. I know things are complicated between the two of you, but I had to. He offered to help the valley, and right now that's all I'm concerned about."

Longtail nodded to Zaine and said "It's okay...the valley does come first...so let's go see if we can help." Longtail then proceeded to lead Zaine out of the cave they were in.

Zaine followed him closely. "So what do we do now? I'm not going to let my vision come true. Those sharpteeth cannot be allowed in the valley."
(ooc: the vision was really a dream, so this does not imply that i have psycic powers)

"Don't worry about it so much Zaine, when the time comes we'll be ready...I hope." said Longtail as he walked along with Zaine, but then he frowned and said "Ugh...now you've got me worried about it!"

Mim continued to watch Cyrix and Korr, and listen if she is close enough to hear, while she continued to hide also, living out in the mysterious beyond one got experience hiding and running from sharpteeth, as well as fighting when one had to.

Littlefoot and Ducky continued to eat from the bush that Littlefoot was standing next to.

Cyrix was becoming impatient something he vary rarely did...at least not since he was a hatchling...he then stepped forward and pulled Korr away from the waters edge. looked him in the eyes and said "I honestly don't know what your plans are, but you...will...not...get my nephew! Do you understand?"
The Red horn nodded and said in reply "Please Cyrix, you..." he thought for a moment before he spoke again "Just trust in me to do the right thing." Before Cyrix could respond however a rustling sound was coming from the bushes behind Korr, and Aeto. Cyrix called out "Mim I need you to see what that is please."

Mim did her best to head over to where the rustling was coming from to try to see what was causing it. She got herself for anything, was it a plant eater, a sharptooth, or something else? She was as ready as she was when she went over to see what it was.

Littlefoot and Ducky still ate a bit. Ducky soon sat back, getting full long before Littlefoot did. Though he finished for now.
"Let's go and find out friends and what they are doing." Littlefoot said.
"Yes, lets, they may be doing something fun or looking for us, they may." Ducky said before she made sure she was firmly on Littlefoot. When he was sure Ducky was ok he set off walking over to one of the areas their friends were often found.

Zaine then noticed Littlefoot and Ducky walking along. I have to do something to get my mind off of the sharpteeth. Being with my friends will help. "You're right Longtail. Let's worry about it when the time comes. Let's go see Littlefoot and Ducky and have some fun." He gestured Longtail to follow him as he walked towards Littlefoot.
"Hiya Littlefoot!"

Longtail nodded and said "Yeah you're right Zaine..." He then followed after him eager to see the others!

The rustling in the bushes in front of Mim was of course none other than Charger, Korr's son. With a frown he said "Let me go see my dad! Get out of my way rainbow face!"

Ateo looked up from where he was at the watering hole, and turned his head to see, not too far from him, Korr and Cyrix. His eyes narrowed a little as he laid eyes on the redhorn. He wondered, to himself, what the redhorn was doing here and if he was going to cause anymore trouble.
He decided to find out for himself. Walking on all fours, he made his way towards the two dinosaurs. "Hello there..." He said, with slight hesitation. "I think we've crossed paths before."

Littlefoot smiled while Ducky waved. "Hey guys, how are you doing?" He asked.
"Nice to see you, it is, yep, yep, yep." Ducky said.

"Let's ask some of the other elders." Mim said in a friendly manner, then louder so Cyrix could diffidently hear, "It's Charger, he wants to go and see his dad." She said, keeping an eye on Charger as she said this.

Zaine looked at his foot. "Well. my foot's pretty much better, so I'd say everything's fine at the moment." He smiled and looked back up at his friends. "I say we do something fun together. What do you say?"

Korr and Cyrix for a moment looked up at Ateo and both of them nodded in response to his question as Cyrix said "Yes, we have I still want to thank you for your help from before with my nephew." Korr on the other hand had taken several steps back from Ateo remembering what happened the last time they met.
However his demeanor changed when he heard Mim say who was in the bushes..."CHARGER?!" The red horn took several steps forward and looked at his son for a moment before saying "What did I tell you about following me here?" Charger looked on the verge of tears as he replied "B-but dad..." "But nothing, now that you are here, I'm going to have to watch over you."
Cyrix saw this exchange going on and he looked over to Ateo, and said "I know this may sound rather...odd, but would you mind watching over the little red horn while we settle matters with his father?"

Longtail nodded and said "Yes something fun is a step in the right direction, so what do we play?"

Ateo listened to what Cyrix had to say, and offered a smile. "You're quite welcome." He noticed Korr's reaction to his presence, and shook his head a little. He didn't know why Korr had done that. Maybe he was afraid that insane duckbill was going to show up again.
He looked at Cyrix when he asked if he'd watch Charger. He gazed down at the young child, and back at Cyrix. "Sure, okay."

Cyrix nodded and said "Thank you." to Ateo and then once he was sure Korr was done yelling at Charger he walked over and tapped the red horn on the shoulder and said "Korr I believe Ateo and I have come up with the perfect solution to your problem." Korr eyes looked suspicious as he said "And that would be what exactly?"
Cyrix looked over to Mim and then down to Charger and said "With your permission we would like to have Charger stay with Ateo in his cave until the danger of these sharpteeth danger." And to Cyrix surprise the Leader of the red horn seemed to be thinking about his options as he said "Yes, yes this is a good idea I like it!" he looked over to Ateo and said "You have my full support for this Ateo..." he then smiled and said "Thank you!"
A grin spread across Cyrix face as he walked over to Mim and whispered in her ear "We have a back-up plan in case Korr tires anything stupid now. I want you to go with Ateo and Charger."

Mim nods to what Cyrix says, agreeing with what she thinks to be his plan.

Littlefoot looks at the others, "Do you have any ideas what we can play, or what you do not want to play?" Littlefoot asked. Ducky remained fairly quiet a the moment letting the others speak a bit before she did.
Seeing some of his friends gathering together Petrie flew off from the high branch where he was and flew in that direction till he arrived where they were.
"You no start fun yet?" Petrie asked not wanting to have missed the start of anything fun.
Littleoot shook his head, "No, we are still talking about what we want, or do not want to do." He said.

Ateo didn't really know what he was getting himself into, but it was just one child, so it shouldn't be too hard. He gazed at Korr, and listened to what he had to say. When the redhorn was done, the plateosaurus nodded, offering a smile of his own. "You're welcome."

Korr nodded to Ateo and said at a whisper "my son has a bad habit of poking others with his new horn...Just be careful where you sleep!"

Cyrix looked to Mim for a moment and said with a blush on his face "Be careful...I don't want to lose you."

Longtail said "We should toss the seed, but where can we find one big enough for all of us to play with?" He started to look around but found none.

Zaine began to look around for a seed until he found one big enough for everyone. "Hey guys! I found one! Catch Littlefoot!" Zaine whipped the seed with his tail, aiming it towards Littlefoot.

Ateo chuckled lightly as he took mental note of Korr's warning. "All right then, I'll be careful. Thank you for the warning." He said in a tone as soft as Korr's.

Littlefoot laughed as he used his tail to hit the tree seed to the next person. "Great finding one so fast Zaine." He said.
"Yes, we are all glad we are." Ducky said.
"You hit tree seed good." Petrie said.

Mim nodded, "Some folks, regardless of age can be more then an handful." She said.

Torgo, after hours from his fall awoke finding himself laying on his side, where he had fallen. The fall was long, and his bruises and cuts deep, but he knew he must accomplish his mission. He knew he must do what he had set out to do.
And he knew his master was still going to fight him. The very spirit of the terrible sharptooth of ages, Maganog who had long tormented him in his dreams, and even while he was awake.
Torgo was tired of the burden his master put on him, and he was ready to fight and regain his freedom.
The valley folk had to've been some form of hope, and he knew that if he could warn them before they destroyed him he could possibly gain their trust, and this somehow would drive Maganog's spirit from him.
He struggled to get to his feet, glancing up at the massive rock wall from whence he fell, and with a glare of determination, he decided to tackle it once again... to get into the valley.... that was his goal.

Syrius was still speaking with Kragoth through the dream. the fastbiter remained calm throughout the conversation. As did the elderly duckbill.
"Its indeed been a long time, since the event back at the crater, hasnt it?" said Kragoth "My, how your uncle and my father fought. And then to see my own father get tossed over a cliff and into a nasty puddle of boiling hot magma, twas tragic indeed... it broke my heart, ya know."
"My Uncle, Elith died shortly thereafter."nodded Syrius "From the wounds that your father inflicted upon him... so we're even"
"So we are..." said Kragoth thoughtfully "And how did you get from that crater and wasteland alive? And that nasty graveyard of bones? Surely,you at that age... a young leaf nibbler struggling the world alone could had never lasted a day there in that nightmare land."
"Simple. I was rescued." Said Syrius.
"Ahh... I see." nodded Kragoth, still looking thoughtful of the chatter. "And by whom?"
"That matters not. You've never told me why you've come to me in my dreams." said Syrius.

Torgo grit his teeth as his wounded body scraped the rocky surface, he had just started back up the steep rocky slope when suddenly his mind was clouded again, and his Master returned to him
'Torgo...' came the terrible voice, and this time Torgo felt a terrible sensation in his body, he let out a terrible scream as his head was forced back to the point that his neck almost snapped, a force unseen it was, and it held the hapless fastbiter in a terrible position, almost to the point of levitation
'I've warned you.... Torgo.' said Maganog's voice.
His mind flashed and Torgo once again found himself in a vision once more facing Maganog
"You betray me, Torgo. I am very disappointed in you. And for your sin against me, you shall die."
"No!" Started Torgo "I am free from you! I demand you let me go!"
"You have no power or free will." said Maganog, his voice hissing and low. "You belong to me, Torgo. Forever."
Torgo tried to move but found his body under Maganog's will, frozen in place, forcing Torgo to look up at Maganog's hideous form.
"And now. Die."

There was a nasty crunch noise and Torgo felt a terrible stab of pain jolt throughout his body, it felt as if he was being twisted. Like a wet rag being squeezed of its water. But suddenly, there came a light in that dark place and something unexpected happened.
Maganog was suddenly knocked to the ground from the snapping whip of a mighty tail. Torgo fell from Maganog's terrible wrath and he fell to the ground where he glanced up seeing something he'd not ever expected in a vision with Maganog. There looming above Maganog was a mighty longneck, terrible and large, yet beautiful and graceful was he. Brave and willing, his eyes shown like flame and his wrath upon the dark spirit was great.
SNAP! came the mighty tail again, and it struck a terrible blow to the terrible sharptooth. Maganog let forth a terrible roar, which in all its horrendous fury emitted a sound beyond comprehension. The roar was joined with the distant tormented cries of Maganog's many victims of old. And it caused Torgo to coward further away. But the mighty longneck remained unaffected, his fiery gaze upon the sharptooth.
Finally, the Longneck spoke, his voice as mighty as Maganog's, only much more tolerable "I've defended this land from you time and time again." He said "And so, here we are again. Maganog, child of the Etheras Stone. I will not let you enter this valley, nor will I tolerate your five children to enter."
"Foolish spirit of the valley." Hissed Maganog "I will have my way!"
"Not if I have much to say about it." At these words, the great lone longneck turned his head towards Torgo
"Go forth, messenger. Warn the valley of the threat that is to come. You have my aid and my blessing."
Before Torgo could even utter a response the vision ended, and he found himself at the top peak of the great wall, looking out over the grand valley.

'We have a messenger arriving. We should go and greet him. Argaya, please send a mental warning to all Great Valley residents of the coming danger.' Vylor said.
Argaya nodded, and then projected this thought.
Attention all dinosaurs in the Great Valley. There is a great danger coming. We must band together or perish.

Zaine laughed along with his friends. "I try my best! Hey Longtail! It's heading for you!" Zaine ran with Littlefoot after the seed.

Longtail smiled as he had been waiting for this, but also remembering what happened last time when he tried to use his head, he planned differently this time, and instead rolled onto his back, and using his tail whipped the seed straight up into the air. "Well, I just hope it doesn't land on anyones head this time." said Longtail aloud also recalling the last time he'd used his tail to toss the seed....

Ducky looked up, "That is high, yes it is."
"It good hit." Petrie said.
Littlefoot went forward keeping his eye on the seed, waiting till it came down close enough for him to hit it with his tail, being sure to try to not have the seed hit him. He had to time it just right and hit hit to soon or late. He hit it and tried to send it to the next person. "That was high, good Longtail." He said.

Longtail simply smiled and said "Thanks..I'm just glad no one got hurt this time...I still remember the time I hit Cera's dad in the head with one of our seeds...I thought he'd never stop yelling at me."

Zaine jumped up and caught the seed with his tail. He then began to laugh at Longtail's comment. "I would hate to get yelled at by Cera's dad. He' way too scary. I don't even know how Cera puts up with him."

"I guess she is use to it since he is her dad. Maybe she doesn't notice" Littlefoot said.
Ducky nods to what Zaine said. "It is a bad idea to get Mr. Threehorn angry, it is." She said.
"He scary like sharptooth." Petrie said agreeing.

Longtail laughed at what Petrie had said and replied "Yeah....just without the sharpteeth!" but then a voice cut through the laughter..."Hey, keep down the noise over there!" It of course was Cera's father Topsy who happened to be nearby. Longtail frowned and sighed quietly to himself.

Zaine laughed a little at how ironic Cera's dad yelling at Longtail was."You just can't win can you?" At that moment, Zaine heard in his thoughts the warning Argaya sent. He stopped in his tracks and looked around. "Hey guys, I think someone is here, but it's not the sharpteeth."

Longtail sighed and then giggled at what Zaine had said and replied "No I guess I can't." He then received the same mental message that Zaine did, and he then said "Oh gee...I wonder what could possibly be coming to us now....although if I had to guess it would try to get me first!"

Sorry, Longtail, but I don't believe he wants you first. He is just here to deliver a message. However, I can't tell if that is his true intention or not. Argaya projected directly at Longtail.
Vylor decided to run to meet his guest. Longtail, I'm running towards you. Then both of us will go meet this messenger in person.

Longtail smiled at Argaya's last mental though and replied 'Then perhaps we should go find him!'

Littlefoot nods, "We should go together, in case there is trouble, and it'll save us time from having to tell each other the message and if it is important it'll be easier to get it to the right people." He said.
Ducky nods, "We are stronger together then alone, we are."
"Some things less scary with friends." Petrie said thinking of some of his many adventures he had with his friends, and some times when he was alone.

Torgo proceeded to limp down the slopes, he had stood there momentarily pondering how he had got up there in the first place, and the vision he had still held him in shock. Who was this strange new spirit that saved his life? and Why?
One thing was now for certain, he was under the protection of this 'valley spirit' or 'Valley Guardian'

Blackclaw lead the long line of his fellow fastbiters down a trail, off in the distant south loomed the great walls that protected the valley.
Blackclaw, though not himself but now the living capsule that embodied the twisted spirit of Maganog held the fastbiters under a strange spell. They each had no choice but to follow him. To do his bidding. It was just as it was back in the day that Maganog was still alive. A lord over all Sharpteeth and others of their kind who were near enough to fall under his powers, he held the power of the Etheras Crystal from within him, the power to form armies and conjure them at his own will.
--Story Notes: The Etheras Stone----------------------------------
The Etheras Stone was a fragment of a meteor (or fallen rock as it was normally called in this time). And it was said to hold a power that enveloped those who possessed it. It was split in two when the fallen rock had impacted the earth nearly a hundred season cycles ago. One piece hit the sharptooth hatchling (Named Tinytooth long before his eternal title of Maganog) and lodged itself within him. And as he grew the stone within him became apart of him, and gave him an unnatural long life, and knowledge far beyond his time and age. The second fragment was discovered several times and those who carried it also obtained knowledge that they should had never had, and eventually was hidden away over time in hopes that it would never come into possession by another and that it may be forgotten.
Years later, a Duckbill by the name of Ellith (Syrius's uncle) was being chased by a group of hungry fastbiters, when he fell into a large pit and found himself in a massive cavern. It was here that he had found a secret chamber, possessing the mythical stone.
He would later find out about the stone and would be sent on his way, his nephew, Syrius and a few other party members (three rainbowfaces, a flyer and a black threehorn) to the Aldar Crater (or the Round Valley of Shadows as some called it (also the crater where the meteor had impacted) where the stone was to be destroyed. Ellith would succeed in this journey, but the journey would also claim his own life as he faced and fought the greed driven fastbiter Argon (Kragoth's father) who sought the stone for power over his own kind. Both Argon and Ellith would ultimately die in this battle and the stone itself would be destroyed along with them.
The stone, while it was kept undamaged and hidden away all those years after its split from its brother (the other fragment that was lodged within Maganog) kept the full power of the Etheras Stone active, and it made Maganog indestructible and nearly immortal. While both stones existed on the earth, the full power remained. And when Ellith destroyed the second fragment, half the power was destroyed and Maganog was no longer invulnerable. He would eventually storm the valley after the stone's destruction and there, finally be defeated by the longneck of legend (ironically labeled as the Lone Dinosaur in the films, but in my version here, he bears many titles including that of the Lone Dinosaur). Maganog would flee the valley and eventually fall to his death as the last fragment burned within him, its power faltered by its brother's destruction, and in its longing attempt to communicate to its deceased partner it would destroy itself and Maganog with it.
Thus ends the story of the Etheras Stone. Though the spirit of Maganog after a hundred years of life, he was able to keep his knowledge obtained from the crystals and his spirit remained strong and ever so wrathful. He would also eventually become a lord of Nightmares.
I am the mender of shadows

Author's Note: This entire story is being written in a full fanfiction manuscript serving as a prequel predating the stories of Littlefoot and his friends. In fact, the story of Ellith and Syrius's journey to destroy the stone would take place at the time that Littlefoot's grandfather was merely the age of Littlefoot himself, though even he himself has no part of this story. This story serves also as my version of the Lone Dinosaur story, that Littlefoot's grandfather told the gang in one of the sequels (the sequel number eludes me right now, I'd need to look it up, but I'm strained for time, so I'll just leave it to the sequel pros to figure it out =) )

The fastbiters little knew of the curse that had befallen them, they understood not what drove them to follow Blackclaw, nor did they understand what had happened to him to make him the way he was now. He was much more intimidating. And those who looked upon him did not see him as he was before. It appeared as if he was not even Blackclaw, son of Kragoth. His features were changing, and his old spirit broken and almost diminished.
He soon turned to the following fastbiters as they came into clear view of the great walls
"Here is the land that we seek. Beyond those walls of stone. They will not hold us back. We shall prevail through them, and the valley of peace shall soon be the valley of bloodshed and tears. Mark my words, my dear servants. Our kind will dominate these lands, and the souls that exists beyond those walls shall soon be mine."

Zaine nodded. "Well I'm definitely coming. I don't want our valley to be taken over by sharpteeth, and whoever this mystery guest is, he or she may be able to help us."

"Yeah, so what do you guys think this new comer will look like?" asked Longtail as he looked into the sky as another thought crossed his mind "And where will he be I wonder?"

The limp fastbiter wobbled his way down the slope further, again, watching his footing along the steep rocky passages until at last he stumbled and fell forward on the valley ground, right at the foot of the wall. Little did he realize that there was a large herd who were all summoned to that very spot, and they all looked at the fastbiter astonished.
"A sharptooth!" declared Denton "..... though... not a very healthy looking sharptooth."
"Eh?" said Torgo, and he looked up from where he stumbled and lay seeing the herd. He clumsily tried to get up, wobbling still and limping about, never once keeping a straight balance but finally grabbed a tree before falling over again, and after catching his breath, he finally declared:
"I am Torgo. I have betrayed the Master. He is coming here. I've come to warn you all. And to flee his wrath... I am Torgo..."
and with these words, he slipped from the tree and fell to the ground again and didnt move for some time.

"Isn't there anything we can do to help him?" Littlefoot asked as he walked closer to where Torgo had fallen. "And who is this master he talked about?" He asked curiously.
"Maybe he is a big sharptooth, like Chomper's parents, or bigger even." Ducky suggested.
Petrie's eyes bulged out, "Bigger even?" he said in fear and jumped onto Littlefoot's neck and held on tightly while shivering in fear.
"Petrie." Littlefoot said with a very strained voice.
Ducky did her best to pat Petrie, "Things will be ok. We have faced danger before and though scary we have come through ok." She said, which did help to calm Petrie down a little. She then looked over at the unconscious Torgo, "There must be something we can do to help him, there must be." She said as she started to get down to get a closer look at Torgo and his injuries.

'He might mean that these giant sharpteeth that Argaya, Zaine, and I saw.' Vylor said.

"Giant...sharpteeth...why do I get the feeling this won't end well for anyone?" asked Longtail knowing he wasn't going to like the answer.

'Because it won't. I don't know what they are, but our little friend might.' Vylor said, gesturing at Torgo.

Ducky climbed down Littlefoot and walked over closer to Torgo. "Isn't there something someone can do for him? He looks like he's really hurt, he does." She said with concern in her voice.
Littlefoot looked at Torgo, "I'm not sure we could treat some of his injuries but it may be best to wait till he wakes up on his own so we can as him which hurts more." He said.
"But him sharptooth." Petrie said still afraid of Torgo and the possible other sharpteeth that may be giants.
"So is Chomper and you are not scared of him are you?" Littlefoot asked.
"Him different, him not scary sharptooth, him nice sharptooth." Petrie said.
"Maybe he is too, we'll have to wait till he awakens and see what sort of person he is." Littlefoot said.

Zaine nodded. "I agree with Littlefoot. There's something about this one that seems different. He wasn't one of the sharpteeth in my dream, so maybe he is a nicer one. We'll have to wait and see once he wakes up."

Longtail walked closer gave the Torgo a quick sniff and said "Ya know...I could wake him up for us...it wouldn't even hurt him..come on Please?!?!?!?" his voice eager to help, and wanting to get some answers

Littlefoot looked over at Longtail, "What sort of idea do you have?" He asked.
Ducky went over to Torgo and patted one of his arms gently. "We will help you to get better, we will." She said.
Ducky and Petrie waited to see what Longtail's idea was.

"To bad we do not have some of those stinky flowers that were on the island were we saw Chomper that second time. They stink so bad they could wake him, they maybe could." Ducky said still gently patting Torgo.
"They stinky, but taste good with some green food." Petrie said, nodding to his memory of the taste of adding a bit to some green food.
"I don't think those flowers grow anywhere in the Great Valley so we have to think of something else." Littlefoot said.

At this point Longtail had an ear to ear smile on his face as he said "This is gonna be fun!" and using his tail began to tickle Torgo's belly hoping the sensation would wake him quickly and painlessly. While still smiling Longtail said "Told you it wouldn't hurt him!"

Zaine rolled his eyes and laughed. "Oh Longtail, you're so silly. We need a quicker way to wake him up. Let me show you how it's done."
(OOC: i thought this would be funny)
Zaine walked up next to Torgo
He began to whisper, "Hey sleepyhead.."
then he screamed, "WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

At this, it seemed Torgo defied gravity and jumped with a surprized yelp, hitting his head on a tree limb and landing back on his belly where he lay, eyes wide opened
"OoOOoouu lookit deh pretty butterflies and sparklies!" he said while his head swam

(OOC: Is he speaking sharptooth or plant eater language? I'd assume his native language which I'd guess to be sharptooth.
Ducky jumped back at the shout, being started by it. When she saw what Torgo did she went over closer to him with a look of concern on her face, "Are you feeling better? We can help your hurt areas if you tell us where you hurt." She said.
"Ah!!" Petrie shoulted in fear. At the shout Petrie gripped Littlefoot's neck tightly again, making Littlefoot's eyes start to but out a bit.
"Pe...tr...ie." Littlefoot said through a strained voice.
(OOC: forgot which movie it was but I think 1 had a scene where Petire gripping Littlefoot's neck did make his eyes bug out a bit. Though it was a funny scene. )

Longtail laughed as he said "Well Zaine I gotta hand it to ya...it worked...it worked well!"

Zaine smiled. "Well, I try. Of course, now he's feeling a little dazed, and I'm sure he doesn't want to hear another scream."

Torgo blinked, his eyes still wide as the images before him were still a bit fuzzy, soon his daze calmed and his sight improved. The fastbiter now saw the young dinos before him.
"Wh-where am I?"he stuttered as he made another clumsy attempt at getting up, using the tree for support
"Th-the master.. does not approve of children. The master - " he then remembered his mission and that he was no longer under Maganog's control "I.. I'm free, the Master has no control over me! I'm free... finally free!" He started laughing and fell over again.

Longtail gave a short laugh at Torgo as he fell forward again. He then replied "He is really out of it.." Longtail then turned and faced the others and said "I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to help him stand up...just so we can hear what he has to say."
Longtail then took a few steps forward and using his tail and beak tried to lift Torgo's head, and after a few grunting tries he said to the others: "A little help would be helpful here!"

Vylor decided to help. 'Risa!' was uttered in an ethereal tone. Torgo's body was lifted off of the ground with what seemed to be invisible strings.

Ducky pated his leg, "You are safe, try to rest and do not move to fast. Do you hurt anywhere?" She asked still concerned about Torgo.
Petrie eased up a little on his grip of Littlefoot's neck. "He scary?" He asked peeking over to where Torgo is.
"No, he seems tired, or maybe hurt." Ducky said, concern still in her voice.
"Let's give him room to sit down if he needs it and not get to close if he needs room to breath." Littlefoot said.

Meanwhile, Meyla approached Korr
"I've kept my silence far too long, Korr, so I should ask, why are we here again? I've followed you and your new little friend all the way here, and I'm just not so sure why."
She looked around at the valley "Though honestly, this place seems so dreamy and wonderful, certainly a great place to settle down and call home."

Korr groaned and turned around as he whispered in her ear "You are here Meyla, to help give me a better reputation around this valley after what I did before, and I would appreciate it if you would just follow along with my plans!" He then added "And if this place is as nice as you believe it to be, then perhaps you'd be willing to be Charger's step mother?"

Longtail however walked over to Torgo and said "He should be fine as long as he doesn't fall down anymore giant walls, or gets beaten up by the valley elders."

Littlefoot nods, "Maybe he should sit down, for a while at least till he's sure he's better and able to stand." He said to the others. Then he turned to Torgo, "Just sit down for a while. You can lean against something if you need to. Then you can tell us why you are here."
Ducky nods, "If you sit down it may be better since you seem hurt." She said still concerned.
"Me not sure about sharptooth, but maybe he ok." Petrie said from his location. He went over to Littlefoot and sat on his back since he felt safest there when with the group.

"Stepmother?" said Meyla to Korr's suggestion. At first, she tilted her head giving Korr the most oddish of glances but then she burst into giggled "Stepmother? Just what are you suggesting here, Korr, my dear? That we become mates?"
She giggled and tried to hide a certain blush

Torgo blinked as he looked at the valley children. Why were they being so nice to him? Why weren't they running away like most of the smaller leaf nibblers did at his approach? But then he realized this was the least of his worries. What would the elders do upon discovering his existence in the valley?
Either case, he decided to play along and hope for the best. Still in a bit of a whirl and unable to keep his balance as always, he was happy to oblige in the suggestion of sitting down and so he did so.

Korr smiled and said "Are you blushing Meyla? I for one have always thought you would make an exceptional mother or step mother to any Red Horn hatchling." Korr then added "Besides if you help me gain a better reputation...we may be able to stay here along with the rest of our herd. Wouldn't that make you happy?"

Longtail guessed at what Torgo was worried about, and he said "You're wondering what will happen to you now...aren't you?" He then smiled and said "It's okay, we will keep you a secret from the elders as long as possible."

Torgo glanced at the Long Tailed wonder
"Torgo is more scared of the Master returning for him. Torgo has betrayed the Master, yes. The Master is most displeased. But for now, Torgo is free from him, Yes. Torgo is very VERY scared!"
He twitched his head a bit and cringed at the thought of Maganog possessing him again, and possibly even torturing him to the death.
"The master will do very terrible things to Torgo, yes. The Master will kill. The Master will kill us all... Torgo must flee from this place. Torgo is not safe here."
He lowered his head, a look of worry and despair on his face, having long forgot the protection of the Valley Spirit, his tortured mind settled back into the fear of his master. His will and mind forever corrupted by Maganog's curse, doomed to suffer these fears until the end of his days.
"Yes... Torgo must leave this place... the Master is coming..."

Meyla stopped giggling and continued blushing and looked to Korr
"Your actually serious about this, arent you?"

"Littlefoot walked closer to Torgo, "We'll be able to beat this master of yours. We've had sharpteeth try to invade the valley before and all of us have beat them before and we can do so again." He said with the look of determination on his face.
Ducky nodded while patting Torgo's leg, "It has been very scary, but we have always come through ok, yes we have." She said.
Petrie meanwhile started to shiver in fear when he heard Torgo mention the master. He looked around as if expecting the mater to be nearby, "Master, come here. Maybe if we hide they not find us." He said.

Torgo looked down at the young longneck and for the first time in his life felt a glimmer of hope seap into his mind. Something about Littlefoot's words calmed the curse that Mganog had on him.
"Torgo feels better now." he said with a hesitant nod

Korr nodded to Meyla and said "Yes, yes I am...I'm tired of all this fighting especially against a mere child...maybe Zaine was right, maybe I am too focused on one thing. And with my son being watched over currently by Ateo the swimmer behind me, we should have plenty of time to get to know each other better."

Longtail smiled and said "Can you stand up Torgo, I'm starting to get a bad feeling, we need to find the elders and quickly."

"Aww... uh... well.. that's awefully sweet of you" said Meyla, blushing veet red. "I'll have to give this some thought."
Just then she looked over seeing a large longneck moving hastily through the forest and towads the other adults who were not too far off.
"Who on Earth is that? I havent seen him in the valley before... but then again, I havent been here before in my life."
She blinked, still wondering who the odd Longneck must be and what his hurry might've meant. It seemed urgent the way he was limping in his haste and his breath short in a heaving pant.

"Torgo can stand." said Torgo nodding hastily again and he tried to stand to his feet, clutching once more to the tree for a good balance
"Torgo must warn everyone in the valley, the Master is coming! Yes! Torgo and the children must make haste before the Master arrives.. The master must not be allowed here, no. We must stop the Master, yes. We must!"

The longneck that Meyla had seen rushing towards the adults was none other than Doc himself, though it would had been hard to tell seeing the way he was limping and the look in his eyes. Something was not right, in fact, something was terribly wrong.
The elders looked up seeing his aproach

Korr turned around and he too looked puzzled as he watched Doc strolling past, and he turned back to Meyla and said "I think we should follow him to see where he's going. What do you think?"

Grandpa longneck looked up to notice a very familiar looking longneck coming towards them and he smiled as he said "Hello again Doc...it's good to see you..." he then noticed the look on his face and replies "What's wrong...is something happening?"

Longtail gave Torgo a wide grin and said "Then what are we waiting for, let's go! If this master is as bad as you clam he is then we don't have a lot of time!" and with that the young flyer spread his wings and flapped into the sky to get a lead.

"Sharpteeth! Aproaching the valley!" said Doc, looking exhausted, yet alert all at once. "Many of them! Fastbiters! I've done what I can, but I could not face the menaces."

Grandpa longneck looked utterly shocked and said "Sharpteeth?! We must find the young ones immediately! We don't have time to lose."

Littlefoot nods, "If you wish to talk to all the elders we should head for the meeting place." Littlefoot said, "Are the rest of you ready to go there? This is something the grown ups need to be told about." He said.
Ducky nods, "We should tell them, we should."
"Yes, we go." Petrie said in his scared voice, glad to be going somewhere, then just standing there. "We hurry." He said.

'What is this master you speak of?' Vylor asked Torgo.

Zaine was shocked after hearing Doc's warning. We can't let them enter the valley, but we need more help. Then, he got an idea. Kor! "You guys go on without me. I'll catch up to you later." With that, he turned around and ran through the valley, looking for Kor. I hope he didn't leave, and I really hope they let him stay. After running for a little, he found Kor and the other Red Horn.
"Kor! Sharpteeth are attacking the valley! If you want to prove yourself, this is the chance."

Korr having already overheard Doc's conversation with the other elders he looked down to Zaine and said "Yes I know. And don't worry I planned on sticking around anyway...no sharpteeth are going to deny me my prize!" He then smiled and said "Don't worry I'll stand by this valleys side and provide any help I can."

Zaine smiled. "All right, then let's go! We can't waste any time." He looked at the other Red Horn. "Meyla, was it? You can help too. We need everyone to defend aganst the sharpteeth."

Meyla giggled some at Zaine
"Your so adorable when your brave... I'll certainly come along, just to make sure my.... mate ... " she glances to Kor "Doesn't get into any trouble."

Torgo limped along as he responded to the question that Vylor asked him
"The Master is coming" said Torgo "We must stop him. Yes, Torgo will not run from the Master no more. Torgo will be brave!"

"There's no time to lose." panted Doc.Nobody was used to seeing him like this, the tough longneck who had visited the valley pretty often and stood out away from the herd as a loner. Yet, here he was, acting out of character, obvious fear in his eyes and out of breath

We must fight. I shall call my friend.
Vylor heard Argaya's mental message.
'I think that we should head for the center of the Valley. There is a gathering. We wouldn't want to be late for the fight, would we?' he said, with a smile forming as he said the last sentence.
