Hey Nick!
Nice to see ya on this side!
Welcome to the GOF! Enjoy your stay and post lots!
Capiche?! ;)

Ja, ich verstehen. Posting a lot will not be a problem Littlefoot.

Especially if you hit a time where two members are just replying back and forth, one right after the other. :p
(Like us in AM right now. ;) )

Ja, ich verstehen.
Make it "Ja, ich verstehe." ;) (German vor "Yes, I understand.") With the n ending it would be a plural form.
-
Oops. Ich verstehe mein Freund.
Nick
-
Diesmal ist es vollkommen richtig mein Freund!
(This time it is perfectly right my friend!)
Weirdly people are rarely addressed as "mein Freund" (my friend) in Germany. Sort of sad :(
-
Really? that is sad. How are they normally adressed? Du?
Nick
-
Usually with "Du" or by name. The "Sie" in German is for more official occasions. There is not such a differentiation in English ever since the though (wich was simmilar to the German "Du") passed away, is there?
-
Not really anymore.
