Probably would have to be Horror. There's just something about the many ways of being scary. A good example would be the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise the amount of creative kills in the franchise is astounding.

I believe I was 10 and the movie was The Thing (1980) It's a pretty good movie you definitely should give it a watch.

Firstly, I've have watched The Thing and it's a great suspenseful movie with a lot of memorable moments within the film.

Secondly, the film came out in 1982 not 1980.

and yeah it is a good movie full of suspense. (spoiler alert) I love the ending where no one really knows if the thing is still among them I thought that was great.

There was a jumpscare and I loved the ambiguity at the end.
