Episode Discussion / Discuss: The Amazing Threehorn Girl
« on: February 05, 2008, 02:54:06 PM »
To be honest, this episode disappointed me. The stupidity of the adult dinosaurs oversteps every limit here. I know that most of the dinosaurs ( at least the herbivorous species) were not particularly intelligent animals, but in the cartoons they are supposed to be able to think, not just to talk. Why did everyone believe Cera's story ( even if it wasn't even hers, but her father's) beyound any shadow of doubt, only because some friend of hers started to shout " Cera - hero!"? They didn't even consider the possibility that they were, to put it mildly, exaggerating. It was rather irritating, when even Spike, who usually doesn't care much about anything that has nothing to do with food, started behaving like a lackey and waving with a leaf above Cera's head, like with a fan. Only Ruby and Littlefoot seemed to regain some sense at the end. And it was very unfair that, when everyone found out it wasn’t true, they went mad at Cera, not at her [censored]  father who was responsible for the whole thing. By the way, what was so special about scaring a pair of crocodiles? All the main characters have already distinguished themselves in fighting sharpteeth in the other cartoons, but nobody of the adults said they were heroes. For example, when Spike knocked Chomper’s mother out in “Land before time 2”, nobody talked about an " amazing spiketail boy".

There is a stone protuberance on the wall: Murray grabs it and the policemen give him another rope. He climbs up and is immediately carried to the hospital under heavy guard.

While Murray is swimming under a hatch, the end of a rope is dropped from above: it is the police. They are seeking for him because they have already caught the gangster and the hitmen who commited the murder witnessed by Murray, and so they must bring him to the trial to testify.

Maybe you are right, but she should have put more time into it, not just a couple of seconds. They were still five against one and Greyback was the most dangerous of all existent werewolves.
And I doubt Bellatrix was Voldemort's first Lieutenant: even if she was strong and fanatically devoted to Voldemort, she seemed to lack any organizational talent and usually didn’t use her brains, behaving like a Viking berserker who had just eaten some fly agarics. There were other characters much more cunning than her, like Lucius Malfoy or Barty Crouch jr. ( though this one, of course, couldn’t help Voldemort any more by then). And Bellatrix, as I think, could only be used as “cannon fodder”. I even wonder how she, with her manners, managed to stay alive till the end of the last book.
There is another thing I was wondering about: where was Rodolphus Lestrange during the 7-th book events? Voldemort earlier described him as one of his most important followers ( together with his wife and Barty Crouch). So why didn’t he do anything in the books ( he was only mentioned 2 or 3 times)?

By the way, was anybody else disappointed by the episode with Fenrir Greyback vs Bellatrix Lestrange? I just don’t get, how did that idiotic maniac manage to beat the strongest werewolf of the world, accompanied by 4 bodyguards? Werewolves were earlier said to be extremely dangerous creatures and Greyback was described as the most powerful of them all, nearly a legendary character ( like count Dracula among the vampires in books of other authors). I think it was not very logical for him to lose that fight: if he was that weak, why did all the wizards fear his congeners?

Police officers arrive and, seeing all the corpses around, accuse Murray of murder and drag him to jail. When the gangster, who is still in hiding, hears of that, he bribes one of the jailers who brings in Murray’s cell some poisoned wine and food.
