Cyrix upon hearing Vylor, and Argaya's voices he turned around and held both longnecks back against there will...while saying "This is Longtail's fight, you mustn't interfere!"

Ducky continued her climbing up the tree. She climbed up till she was a branch above the one she had passed the first time. She then stood on the branch with both hands on the treen and looked down to see what she could see and if she needed to climb up higher.

Littlefoot had seen Mim approach. He got his tail partially around one of the fast biter's legs and was attempting to trip him like one of Doc's tail tricks. Mim came in at that time and did a half turn holding her tail rigid. It hit the fast biter and sent it to the ground, unable to recover since Littlefoot's tail was enough to make him trip and fall to the ground.

Petrie flew to the next of the large adults he saw and gave the message then went off on search of the next adult to give the message to that Grandpa longneck had said to do.

Cyrix smiled and said "I taught him almost everything, but he may have picked up a trick or two in the Mysterious Beyond before he came here."

"Intriguing fighting style. A bit unorthodox, but useful, nonetheless." Argaya commented.

Cyrix smiled and said "Yes it is isn't it...now about how I learned to fight...well the Mysterious Beyond can make one fight even when one doesn't want to, and not just fighting sharpteeth but other things as well." he said to Vylor and Argaya.

"Enough!" shouted Kragoth

the three sharpteeth assembled in the center of the clearing looking over at Longtail

"You've proved yourself a worthy opponent" said Kragoth out of breath "But that's not going to stop us, we're here for a meal, and we're going to get one, whether you aprove or not!"

He turned to his two sons and spoke to them in their language "Find those little ones! Go now!"

The two raptors obeyed without delay, they split up and ran into the forest to seek and persue the children. Kragoth smiled and looked at Longtail

"You cant fight all three of us if we're in three different places."

Ducky decided to climb a little higher as quietly as she could. She made it to the next branch even higher up. She looked down, her belly and chest against the tree trunk and gripping the trunk with her hands. She remained as quiet as she could. She decided she would stay put till one of the grownups showed up.

Littlefoot took off after one of the fast biters with Mim beside him. They ran side by side.
Littlefoot tried to catch up to the fast biter to slow it down or stop it from getting any of the other young ones in the valley including his friends.

Mim thought Littlefoot a bit to young to be fighting fast biters, but she had to learn at a young age and he may as well also, being in the world they were in, and he did seem capable, though a bit inexperienced. She thought with them acting together they could make an effective team.

Petrie, meanwhile, was spreading Mr. Longneck's message to the other grown ups and attempting to find a flier or more so the word could spread faster among the grown ups.

Longtail simply stood where he was and said with a neutral face "I won't have to fight all three of you, killing you will send your sons into a fit of rage for revenge and that's just what I want....Now DIE!!!!" Longtail leapt at Kragoth and using some deft movements managed to get his beak around the bottom of Kragoth's neck and his tail around the top and said "Are you ready...I hope you loved the life you've lived!"

After seeing the sharpteeth split up he let go of Argaya and Vylor, and said "Both of you follow me... we need to stop one of those sharpteeth NOW!" and with that he was off running in the same direction as one fo the other sharpteeth.

"Really? Would you be willing to risk your life on that assumption?" said Vylor in a mocking tone to Kragoth.

"We are not as weak as you might think." Said Argaya, walking to stand by Vylor's side.

At this momment, Denton had long already made a dash for it, running through the thick woodlands. And little did he know that Agnog had picked up his scent and was speeding towards him.

Kragoth glaired at Longtail who had such a grip on him

"Death comes to us all, foolish leaf nibbler" he said "But today is not my day!"

he grabbed at Longtail's throat and started to wrestle and fight him

Longtail never one to give up so easy, as Kargoth proceeded to grab him by the throat Longtail only bit down harder on the sharptooth's neck and tightened his grip with his tail knowing that if he had to die he would take one with him.

Cyrix however had just happened to follow Agnog who was chasing after Denton, the rainbow face was only concerned with bringing these sharpteeth down before anyone could be harmed by them...and this prompted him to run at a much faster pace, knowing that if he failed someone was sure to die.

Kragoth let out a painful scream and his grip tightened on Longtail's neck. The fastbiter swung violently about trying to lose his opponent

Longtail had to admit it was starting to get hard to breath and that was going to make him loosen his grip, but he wasn't giving up...he tired to bite down harder...but his vision was starting to get blurry, and he he didn't want to admit it, but he knew he couldn't hang on much longer...but he just couldn't do it....he closed his eyes, and exhaled what he thought would be his last breath...

Ducky stayed high in the tree looking down. She maintained keeping her chest and belly against the trunk of the tree and looking down. It looked like the fast biters were gone, but she thought it best to remain in the tree. She wanted to help her friends but knew she was to little to do much. She would stay here, she thought, and then her friends would not have to save or protect her and fight the fast biters also.

Mim ran as fast as she could. She then jumped onto the back of the fast biter, wrapping her arms around it's neck. Her arms went around it's neck. She braced one hand on the shoulder of her opposite shoulder and the other braced against the back of the fastbiter's head in an attempt to chock it but slipping into more of a sleeper hold. Her legs she thrust between it's legs and to try to trip it or slow it down so running would be difficult, attempting to push outward with her legs also.

Littlefoot ran along with Mim after the other fast biter they were chasing. Seeing Mim had jumped on the back of the fastbiter Littlefoot jumped and grabbed its tail in his mouth attempting to hang on and help drag it down.

Petrie continued flying, spreading the word to the various adults, especially flier adults, that he saw.

Grandpa Longneck reached the clearing just as Longtail was losing consciousness. The elderly longneck took two steps forward and said "Let that little one go! You have no right to be in this valley!" He then noticed several paw-prints leading away from the center and asked "Where are the other young ones?"

Ducky calls out from pretty high up in a tree, "1 is up here, Petrie flew away, Littlefoot and Mim ran off chasing one of the fast biters, the others went chasing the other fast biter." She said, the relief at seeing a grownup, especially a large one was evident in her voice.

Littlefoot hung onto the tail of the fast biter's tail with his mouth as Mim continued her sleeper hold. Once he had a good bite grip he tried to dig his feet into the ground as best as he could to slow it down.

Mim continued her hold as best as she could till she was sure the fast biter was out despite if it clawed her arms or tried to get her off not holding on with her legs still thrust between it's legs to try to trip or at least slow it's running and movement.
