The Fridge / Re: Thoughts of the Day
« on: May 03, 2019, 10:58:22 PM »
My thought for today was how surprising and cool it was for Jeff Fowler, the director of the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie, to actually respond to outrage and criticism from people online who had issues with the design of Sonic. The tweet of it can be found here.
Personally, I never really cared about the movie in the first place, but seeing that someone cares enough to address the fan base of a franchise opened my eyes. I do agree though the design looks awful. If they do carry out with the change, I would probably watch it just in spite of that. I do wonder how much of a burden this would be on the animators though, and if any money would be lost because of the change.

NF - Lie

[Chorus]
I heard you told your friends that I'm just not your type
If that's how you really feel, then why'd you call last night?
You say all I ever do is just control your life
But how you gonna lie like that, how you gonna lie like that?

[Verse 1]
Yeah, I heard you said I ain't the type for you
I don't regret it though, I learned from it
They should have you locked up for all the time you stole from us, (woo)
Took you out when I had no money
Only person that you ever cared about was you, that's why it's so funny
You want somebody that'll keep you warm at night, then, tell me, why you actin' cold to me?
You ain't the only one to blame, no, I'm the one that made you rich when I bought every lie you sold to me
Yeah, heard you threw away the pictures
But you still got the memories of us, so I guess I don't really make a difference
Flippin' through 'em in your head
Got you texting me all hours of the night
Yeah, you told me that you needed distance
What's the deal with you?
You say you want a man that keeps it real
Then why you mad when I get real with you?
You want someone to pay the bills for you
Went from feelin' you, now I feel for you, liar

[Chorus]
I heard you told your friends that I'm just not your type
If that's how you really feel, then why'd you call last night?
You say all I ever do is just control your life
But how you gonna lie like that, how you gonna lie like that?

[Verse 2]
Look, let me guess, you want to stay friends?
Tellin' people that's how we been?
Tellin' everybody, yeah, that we was barely speakin'
Ah, that's kinda funny, why'd you call me every day then?
It's immaturity, you goin' off the deep end
You just want somebody you can chill and get some drinks with, cool
Then don't hit me on the weekend, tellin' me you missed the way we talked and how I listen, yeah
Why you playin' with my mind, huh?
Why you playin' with my time, huh?
Told me, "We should let it go and put it all behind us"
That's what I did, now you askin' me what I done, I was
Waitin' for this day, I saw it comin'
I think you just like attention, tryna tell me all your problems
I got issues of my own, I ain't got time for all this drama
You told me that you don't really wanna talk—then why you callin', huh?

[Chorus]
I heard you told your friends that I'm just not your type
If that's how you really feel, then why'd you call last night?
You say all I ever do is just control your life
But how you gonna lie like that, how you gonna lie like that?

[Bridge]
How you gonna lie, how you gonna lie like that?
Baby, how you gonna lie, how you gonna lie like that?
How you gonna lie, baby, how you gonna lie like that?
No, no, how you gonna lie like that?

[Chorus]
I heard you told your friends that I'm just not your type
If that's how you really feel, then why'd you call last night?
You say all I ever do is just control your life
But how you gonna lie like that, how you gonna lie like that?

[Outro]
Tell me how you 'bout to lie like that
Tell me how you 'bout to lie like—
Yeah, yeah

The Party Room / Re: How's the Weather?
« on: May 03, 2019, 10:14:34 PM »

Well the snow is gone now. It was a pretty brief snowfall. It's a little warmer here today, but still somewhat cool. About 15°C. It's also been consistently cloudy out. It looks like it's about to start raining, but it hasn't yet.

I do wonder what constitutes hot or cold for you. I can go out without a jacket at 40°F (~4.4°C) and be just fine, albeit with weak or no wind. And in the summer, while it is pretty uncommon for it to go above 90°F (32.2°C), it's always feels MUCH hotter due to the humidity, even though most of the time the temperature ranges from the upper 70s to the lower & mid 80s (25°C - 30°C).

It's also uncommon for the dew point in the summer to be at 55°F (12.8°C) or lower, the level at where people would feel comfortable. I would like a dry heat for once, thank you very much. :(

But then again, being near the coast you should expect conditions like that. :P

Bad News: Unfortunately, you and the gang tumble down a very deep cave that was hidden by some foliage.

Good News: It's exploring time! Sky stones, beautiful underground structures, and minerals aplenty!

Do you have any other pets besides your cat? If not, would you want another pet? If so, what would it be?
Also, have you ever thought of bonding with a wild animal? (besides a cat if you're going to tell me you did with a stray)

Oh wow! That's awesome. Us Albertan members are having more and more in common. :DD

Perhaps you'll cross paths someday. Who knows? :)

I'd like to get started on that next week for sure.

Likewise for me too. But I have a project for Social Studies and an essay assignment which is being handed on next week. I'll need to get on them right away first before my movies. Even though they aren't due for a long time, it's nice to have it done early. ;)

I typed = in the Youtube search bar and clicked on a search result with many weird symbols. First result I got was a weird dancing video of an alien with spammed letters and symbols as the title. As it turns out, it's a real music video. Yeah, this is what happens when you decide to start typing symbols in Youtube because you're bored. :lol
But anyways, I found the title of the song. The lyrics are pretty sexual in it's English meaning. :opetrie

Have you heard the version of If We Hold On Together by Anndi McAfee and Aria Noelle Curzon?

Yep yep yep! Adorable rendition sung by the voice actors of Cera and Ducky. The original Diana Ross version is better in my opinion though. The death of Judith Barsi, the one who originally voiced Ducky in the first movie really intensifies the effect of the former though when you know about it. It's very tragic how early her life ended along with her mother. Not to mention the amounts of abuse they have received from the father. :o

The perfect (and cliché) wedding song! :wub

Ed Sheeran - Perfect

[Verse 1]
I found a love for me
Oh darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own
And in your eyes, you're holding mine

[Chorus]
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight

[Verse 2]
Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
We are still kids, but we're so in love
Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time
Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I'll be your man
I see my future in your eyes

[Chorus 2]
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful
I don't deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonight

[Instrumental]

[Chorus 3]
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect
I don't deserve this
You look perfect tonight

The Party Room / Re: Tell us something about yourself!
« on: May 02, 2019, 04:59:18 PM »
I sometimes like to postpone what I need to do during the day, I keep telling myself that I will start in about an hour. Then before I know it, it's past midnight and I'm too tired to start doing anything anymore. And then the next thing happens the following day.  :lol
Procrastination really sucks, doesn't it? Don't worry, I'm a huge offender of that. Although, I still somehow finish assignments that I start on the last second. Sometimes, I really push myself and get break past that procrastination barrier. It feels very satisfying to finish something early, knowing you had just freed up your schedule for free time. :D It's like a huge weight on your shoulders has been released.

Bad News: It was just a dream. After all, you were in a coma due to that motorcycle accident. Also, the hospital bill is too expensive. If only you had the money your idol had. (a bit of continuity there)

Good News: You invent your own time machine and decide to go back to The Land Before Time!
