I love them all, but the original, LBT X, and LBT XII are somewhat my favorites.

Land Before Time because it is the best! The original. You can't beat that.
--------------------
Land Before Time X because Littlefoot meets his father. He was one of the characters many fans wanted to see for a while.
--------------------
Land Before Time XII because this is one of the few that do not have Littlefoot as a central main character, unlike most of the others. It means to much repetition. It does the series good to draw away from the main character.

My votes:

The original (because it's just so awesome).
LBT 4 (I don't get to see many new longnecks).
LBT 7 (it added a certain amount of mystery to the series that's a constant reminder that the Great Valley can't possibly be on Earth as we are led to believe...)
LBT 10 (despite being home to one of the most biggest blunders in the series, if not THE biggest)
LBT 11 (kind of similar to LBT 7...)

Though it was difficult to pick just 5 I finally did.

The first one I choose since though darker and a different feel I like it quite a bit.

4 - since I liked Ali and the growth she and the others showed in the movie towards her.

5 - Since Chomper appears in it, silly reason perhaps.

6 - I liked Doc, also one of the very few who actually stands up to Cera's dad.

9 -  I liked Mo the character.

If I could have changed my vote I"d have switched 7 for 9 after reading some of the other replies.

And I agree, I doubt the series is set on earth really, maybe another earth in another universe.

My top five were easy to choose, and here's why:

1 - It's the original you just can't beat the original!

4 - I enjoy the 'love' angle they introduced (I use the term love as loosely as possible as they are still children.)

7 - They came up with a villain who was RELATED to one of the main characters! Genius!

8 - It snowed for the first time in the valley EVER! Goofy reason I know, but I still like it.

10 - Bron...nuff said.... :lol

It'd have to go (from most to least in the top 5):

LBT 1
LBT 5
LBT 10
LBT 9
LBT 4

The others are great too, but I just love these ones.

I noticed that LBT 12, a sequel that you give high praise to, is missing from that list. I guess you really don't think it's as good as you let out.

#12 would have to be #6 in my choice.  The older sequels were of the highest quality in my opinion.

I like the first one, cause it¥s the original. I like the fifth, cause the kids meet chomper again, I like the eight one, don¥t know why, I like the tenths film very much: the story of chorty is very nice and I like the eleventh one, cause the little longnecks are so cute :^.^:

I don't think English is his first language, mistakes are allowed...

I know English isn't his first language, but it was a typo, not a language issue.

LBT 10 (despite being home to one of the most biggest blunders in the series, if not THE biggest)
What was that blunder?

Malte279 is probably thinking about the incident where Shorty tripped the sharptooth instead of more realistically getting crushed, but I think that the following is even worse.

Somewhere in the middle of the movie, a volcanic disturbance shot flames/whatever out at Pat's foot, hurting him pretty badly and causing him to limp for practically the rest of the movie. This hindered his ability in the sharptooth fight at the end.

However, in perspective, Bron, Littlefoot's father, suffered a sharptooth bite -- on his foot. Pat suffered an injury like that on his foot, so one would think Bron would basically be powered toast at this point. But, there's no blood. There's no injury. There's no limping. Just a mild yell, and it's like he was never even bit in the first place! THAT seems VERY unlikely.

Nevertheless, I like the movie, all the same. :)

Sounds like the movie had 2 blunders.  Maybe someone needs to look the script over before animation starts on it.

As for what I perceive as the shortcomings of LBT and the arguments against my point of view I recommend to take a look at this thread (provided that you have a lot of time to read it all ;)).
