Derby Fire-August 2006

I finally found my tape from the Derby Mountain Fire back in August. This was said to be the largest wildfire in 2006, land this was just outside my town! When I shot the footage the fire had already burned down 156,000 acres! By the time it was put out it burned through more than 250,000. When I shot the video they had already evacuated over 300 people and 35 houses were burned to the ground. Yes, this was a sad time for Big Timber, Montana. As the Civic Center was packed with hundreds of refugees.
