I honestly don't know how long it took me to make that. Many hours I would say. It does take a long time. The most difficult part is always the head. I probably spent the majority of my time just on that, getting the tongue and teeth looking right and what not.
And no, this is actually made out of more than one material. The body, tail, neck, head, and mouth are made out of one material. The fleshy corners are made out of planes instead of circles (like most of the model). The teeth are made out of cones and were cloned multiple times, sizes altered, and placed in the mouth. The tongue is made out of another material (hard to get it in the mouth properly). The fleshy top and bottom of the inside of the mouth is made out of a plane I think. I'm pretty sure that's how I did it. The eyes are made out of a small sphere, and the eyelids made out of two separate planes. The legs are separate, the toes are separate as well. And the arms are separate. I tried to attach them properly but as you can see, you can still see a line.
I used a modifier called Mirror, which makes things a lot easier as I only need to edit half the model. Unfortunately I don't know how to undo the mirror while keeping the second half; half the model ends up disappearing.
And sure I could use some help with skinning. I attempted earlier today, but the program runs so slowly because I have so many vertices.
