News is a bit lukewarm tonight, between good and bad. Not bad though...
My good ol dad (bless the man) wired me the money needed to pay my car. This put an extra three weeks time for me to get a job before the repossession threats arise again. While this brings a great deal of relief, I'm not out of the storm just yet.
Jobs are few and scarce here and just about everywhere. Though I've heard good rumor that gas prices are starting to lower (below $3 in some places) which would be every bit of help with the budget.
I'm hoping tomorrow (Monday) that there'd be some sign of employment. I'm expecting phone calls from at least two places, one from Cracker Barrel (a country store/restaurant) and another from the Exotics Foods place.
While worrying and piddlin' about about work, a new prospect of living has popped up. The good mates across the street from here have both agreed to maybe rent me their place out with the option to buy. The rent as low as $250 a month. A nice lil trailer home that'll serve my every need. But there's no sure promise in this yet. I'm in competition with my sister to get the place (first one with a job gets it). And the couple who agreed said they'd have to wait and see what their daughter is doing (she's supposedly the current resident there, but since a divorce and losing her children, she's hardly ever there anymore). If I get the place, I agreed to let my sister and her three little noisy dibbuns crash there until they can get a place of their own. But with the place being mine, I would be free to do as I please. =) Fingers crossed, and prayers a plenty, I say! First step is getting that dratted job!
Oh, and to good ol Kor, I'm sure it was you who had called to assist in my needs. Bless ya matey. Though I was really aiming that phone number to my mateys in Fayetteville Tennessee. My mother was not too happy with me giving out that number to the e-mail list. Nuthin' you did wrong though, your attempt to help a mate in need has earned you a high position on my matey list =) Cheers and a toast to ye!
