What do you think are the scariest movie situations?
I'll list mine and tell you why.
Poseidon- Being trapped in an overturned ocean liner is a pretty terrifying situation to be in. It may be somewhat unrealistic and extremely unlikely but still I wouldn't want to be in that perdiciment.
Being the bad guy in a Clint Eastwood movie- self explanatory.
Being the bad guy in any movie staring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan or Bruce Willis- Also self explanatory.
Behind Enemy Lines- stranded in an enemy country with crazy guys who want to kill you at every turn. I definately wouldn't want to be in that mess. At least not without a gun of some sort.
-
Being the target of any trap in a Saw movie. I don't believe this requires further detail.
-
Being sorrounded by 10000 zombies and having only one clip left in your gun.
-
Being chased by a legion of Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters into a large and dangerous asteroid field where you could CRASH!!! at any moment.

I second on that. Being hit by a rogue wave would be a terrible experience.

Aboard on a stranded spaceship, communication broken and no weapons...

Oh my... I was soo scared of A L I E N when I was younger! :o

Resident Evil - Being trapped underground in a secret facility where everything that used to be alive down there turned into flesh-eating monsters.
Jaws - Being anywhere in a large body of water where a massive man-eating shark can get you.

The Princess and the Goblin. Now, let me set the points.
* A goblin prince, a good 10-15 years older than me, wants to marry me. Thank goodness it's for political reasons DX
* He follows my buddy to my room and lurks nearby
* My buddy tells me to close and lock the door so I'll be safe
* After my buddy leaves, I do as he tells me
* AARRGZOMG! Goblin Prince is in my room! Door locked, everyone gone, no halp!
* RAAAA...duuurrrr."NASTY THINGS"!!!!!!one!!!!

Being a character in an Alien movie. First, you get captured by horrible abominations, then you get a face full of alien wingwang, then you're put into a coccoon, and only then allowed the sweet imbrace of death AFTER you've had you chest burst out in a horrible manner.
-
Being a character in a war movie being either trapped in your capsized ship being sunk at sea by a sub or being shot down by a SAM or AAA.
