Basically what the title says, ask me anything. ^_^
-
How did you first find the GoF?
-
DarkHououmon showed me it a few years ago, but I didn't join then.
Then I joined Tropicalia's forum and then there was a link to this forum, so yeah...:)
-
That's cool! I'm glad you joined and stayed!
-
Thanks Noname. :)
-
(To quote the movie Scream...)
What's your favorite scary movie?
-
My question is if you have any questions Amy?
-
How long have you and Darkhou known each other? :o
-
(To quote the movie Scream...)
What's your favorite scary movie?
lol, so many questions, and that was just four! xD
I don't have a favorite scary movie. I don't like them. They scare me. :DD
My question is if you have any questions Amy?
Yes I do. What's the meaning of life? xD
How long have you and Darkhou known each other?
About four years, I was 13 then. :) We only talk occasionally though. :P:
-
Yes I do. What's the meaning of life? xD
That I think depends on the individual.
But here is a different question, does there have to be a meaning to enjoy something that is so marvelous?
-
Well, you don't HAVE to find the meaning if you don't want to, it's just for curious, brainiac individuals, they want to find the meaning of life, and not everyone does find it..."marvelous". :p To me life is bittersweet. It has it's good points and bad points. Or maybe life is just how us as living beings make life. :D
-
I don't know of course, but might it not be possible that those most frantically searching for the meaning off life might be so busy searching that they end up being the ones who end up never finding it?
Are not bad points about life marvelous as well? Could be still appreciate good moments if there were only good moments? Cannot disappointments teach us to appreciate success? Don't we need bad luck to define luck? And would not the marvelous aspect be lost if it wasn't for lives difficulties keeping us busy to overcome them?
Maybe there's one sense in life. To me personally life is much about improving oneself. We are the sum of our experiences and every day we become more than we have been the day before.
-
While I think that life ought to be enjoyed, I must admit that enjoying life seems to be a luxury for richer, more developed countries. And much of our standard of living comes at the expense of poorer people abroad... even if we don't like to think about it, our enjoyment of life often comes from making other people's lives worse, both at home and abroad...
Still, that's no reason to get sad... as long as one is cognizant of that fact, one can live life well, but be aware of how one got the things we consider necessary for our high standard of living...
-
You are rising a very important point there Noname.
I was thinking of the live as an individual without the broader global context. But you are totally right of course that it is rather shortsighted to focus only on the own close surroundings.
There is a lot to be changed about our world, but even global changes begin with the individuals that make up their minds to change (sometimes just way too slowly).
-
What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
-
I don't now...:p :lol
-
An African swallow or a European swallow?
-
Either one. :)
-
Either one. :)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. :lol :lol
Somebody was bound to post the swallow joke.
-
what's the answer to life?
if its 42. explain the logic.
-
Either one. :)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. :lol :lol
Somebody was bound to post the swallow joke.
I'm not familiar with that joke. :p So I'm at a loss of what you all mean. :lol
-
Do you like ferrets?
-
Hehe, yeah, they're very energetic creatures, but I wouldn't want to have one as a pet.
-
Why do kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
-
Well...it's so in case they crash in those planes that they won't hit their heads...:p
lol
-
If 13+5=23 and 1,023+417=1,445 what is 1+1?
-
Do you have any pet rats?
-
What's your favorite tv channel?
-
If 13+5=23 and 1,023+417=1,445 what is 1+1?
Either 11 or 2. :lol
Do you have any pet rats?
This might sound odd, but I don't. I have two kittehs, but no rats. I don't think it woudl be good either if I brought a rat home. The poor thing would die in three days. :DD
What's your favorite tv channel?
I actually don't have a favorite, but I do like tv shows that aren't on air anymore since those are th good ones. :lol
-
If 13+5=23 and 1,023+417=1,445 what is 1+1?
7?
Anyway, my question is...have you ever been walking on a sidewalk and started stepping on every crack, then found yourself unable to not step on every crack? Am I the only one it happens to?
-
What are your kittens colors and names? :o
-
Either 11 or 2. dino_laugh.gif
Sorry but no. :p
7?
Correct! :D
-

7?
Anyway, my question is...have you ever been walking on a sidewalk and started stepping on every crack, then found yourself unable to not step on every crack? Am I the only one it happens to?
Hmm...I never really paid attention to that. :p
What are your kittens colors and names?
My oldest one is named Funcat (or FC for short) a lot of people laugh when I tell his name. :p :lol
And he's a tanish tabby. :) He's 13 years old. :D
My youngest one is Gypsy and he's a big black longhaired 2 year old.
Either 11 or 2. dino_laugh.gif
Sorry but no.
QUOTE
7?
Correct!
I have a question for you Austin, why did you ask me a question that you already knew the answer to. HMMMMMM?????? :neutral :DD
-
I have a question for you Austin, why did you ask me a question that you already knew the answer to. HMMMMMM?????? dino_neutral.gif dino_happier.gif
Simple. I wanted to know if you could solve it. And as I suspected you couldn't. It's amazing how fast we lose our simple problem solving skills. Only someone who's faced with unique problems on a regular basis would have been able to answer that question correctly and I learned something about you.....that your life isn't as complex as I originally suspected. Sometimes you don't need to directly ask the question to obtain the answer. Now you've learned something too.
Okay, next question. If you could make a deal that would allow you 10 years of utter happiness in exchange for half your remaining lifespan, would you do it?
-
Lol, Funcat, I love that name.
Do you wish to go to collage? If so, what do you want get your degree in?
-
^ Thanks. ^_^ Hehe
Yeah, I definitely will. I would love to major in World Religion. :)
-
Awesome. I like researching religion myself.
Why are you feeling "Raging"? :o
-
Oh, I need to update that. :p I don't feel that way right now. Just a little something that happened a few hours ago. It's okay.
-
What's the biggest laugh you ever had in your life?
-
If a chicken were to fight a duck, which one would win?
-
What's the biggest laugh you ever had in your life?
Oh man...it would have to be the time I was at my bf's party and the guys sucked in helium from the balloons and they all had high pitched voices. xDDDDDD One guy there had a deep voice and he used the helium and I just roared. xDDDDD And no, my bf didn't join in. He's too old fashioned and calm to do those things...:lol
If a chicken were to fight a duck, which one would win?
Hmm well both fowl have advantaches. The chiken has a sharp beak and talons to cut through the skin of the duck, but the duck can fly and swim. It can give some nasty bites also. To be honest, I say a duck would win a fight like that, especially if they fought near water. The poor chicken would drown. :(
-

Haha, ya think? :p Well...whatever...
Hmm that's an interesting question, though I'm not sure if I understand it...but I'll give my best answer based on my best understanding. I would have to say no. Because I strongly believe you can create your happiness in whatever life you are in, no matter what situation you are in.
Now I turn the question to you. Would you?
-

Nice choice.
What kind of music do you like?
-
Oh boy, I love many types of music. My favorite being Symphonic Metal.
Next would probably be most soundtracks from animated films and Phantom of the Opera (the film in 2004), R&B(mostly Alicia Keys and Mary J Blige), and hard rock.
-
In your opinion, so far, what's the best movie of 2009?
-
^ I haven't seen too many movies this year. But I guess I would have to say Ice Age 3. I was in hysterics when I saw it...TWICE. And that helium scene crack me up badly! :lol
-
Do you believe in ghosts?
-
Personally, I'm not sure at the moment, but I'm open to that possibility of them existing.
-
Oh boy, I love many types of music. My favorite being Symphonic Metal.
You had the master of metal reeling, had to look up Symphonic Metal bands on Wikipedia. It said on there that Dimmu Borgir, Symphony X, and Cradle of Filth (The only ones I recognized. Also saw Winds of Plague and Nightwish, but I never really got into them) are Symphonic Metal bands. Do you listen to any of those?
-
Nope, I have yet to listen to those other bands you have listed. :)
-
What's the most disgusting thing you've ever eaten?
-
Oh boy...that might not be an easy question to answer, because I'm still a slight picky eater.
It would have to be that plain yogurt I had. I thought it was flavored like vanilla or something, but it was the most sour thing I have ever tasted. :x
-
Nope, I have yet to listen to those other bands you have listed. :)
Haha, alright. (You probably wouldn't like Dimmu Borgir, but you should give Symphony X a try.)
Do you drink soda?
-
If you learned that the world was actually flat, what would you do?
-
@Alex: Not really but, when I do it's usually either Dr. Pepper or Root Beer. :D
@LBTLOVER: Umm I would be surprised that I was lied to all my life about the Earth and that the old world religious folk were right about the Earth being flat. :p :lol
-
Are you happy with your life?
Do you make other people happy with your life?
(Bonus points if you can name what movie it's from)
-
Do you like Star Trek?
-
@Alex: Yeah I am fairly happy with my life. :) I try to be grateful of where I live and how I am now verses how I was when I was a tween. :)
Well, I CAN make people in my life happy, but only they can themselves truly happy. :D
And unfortunately I don't know where that line is from. :p
@LBT: I never watched it very much. I did like that one line though, "Everything I tell you is a lie." xD
-
Well I don't think the quote is spot on, but it was supposed to be from 'The Bucket List'. Lol. "Tween". I forgot people use that word.
Would you eat the sandwich in LBT's avatar?
-
Oh then I definitely would have not known where the line was from, since I never have seen "The Bucket List".
Maybe without the tomato, but otherwise, sure! :D
-
Do you like heavy metal?
-
Tomatoes are awesome. Especially cherry tomatoes. Yum.
We've already covered that, Serris! :birthday
What kind of car do you drive?
-
@Serris: Hehe, Well, I prefer symphonic metal myself, but I don't mind heavy metal. :)
@Alex: I don't drive yet. :p But if I did I think I would like to get a Lexus or some hybrid...
-
@Serris: Hehe, Well, I prefer symphonic metal myself, but I don't mind heavy metal. :)
@Alex: I don't drive yet. :p But if I did I think I would like to get a Lexus or some hybrid...
Cool.
Do you like '70s muscle cars? :wow
Edit: you're a trend setter, two other topics like this. :o
-
What was your favorite scene from Phantom of the Opera?
-
If you could have one of the following super powers, which would you choose?
*Total Control Of Time
*Ability To Become Invisible
*You Can Fly
-
Edit: you're a trend setter, two other topics like this. :o
Make that three. It's become a fad.
How does it feel to know you've created a craze?
-
Do you like dogs
-

Edit: you're a trend setter, two other topics like this. :o
Hmmm I don't know what those are, so I can't say if I do or don't.
Mwahahaha...everything is now coming along according to plan... *plots*
What was your favorite scene from Phantom of the Opera?
It would have to be between the Mirror scene and the Cemetery scene. I love that song "Wishing you were somehow here again".
If you could have one of the following super powers, which would you choose?
*Total Control Of Time
*Ability To Become Invisible
*You Can Fly
How about all of them? :p
Actually I would love to fly. ^_^
How does it feel to know you've created a craze?
I thought it kind of funny that I did create a "fad". :DD It's not my idea though, two other forums I go on have this in their "rooms". It's like member areas where members can tell about themselves and people can ask them questions if they make a thread like this. I don't think the GOF would want something like that though. It -might- be too much work for the admins. I dunno.
Do you like dogs
I'm more of a cat and rat person. ^_^ But I don't mind dogs, I just can't see myself owning one. They're too much work. :p
-

Haha.
Also, I like when forums have a section like that. The GOF should do it. Might just need to recruit another Mod for it or something.
What (school) grade are you in?
-
I'm a junior in HS. :D
-
If you could ask one question and have a guaranteed TRUE answer to it, what question would that be?
-
Are there any sports or strenous activities you're into?
-
Hmm. I'm running out of questions, it seems.
Uh. What brand of computer do you use?
-
If you could ask one question and have a guaranteed TRUE answer to it, what question would that be?
Hmm that's an interesting question. That's kind of hard too.
How about, "Are trees tall?" (that's if I was a blind person) :p :DD
Are there any sports or strenous activities you're into?
Martial arts. :) I would love to go back to swimming and MAYBE horse back riding. Like maybe to one of those rent a horse things like once a month. :)
What brand of computer do you use?
Macbook. :) It's version is 10.5.6
-
Martial arts. :)
That's pretty badass.
No doubt this has already been answered, but what's your favorite LBT character?
-
No, actually you are the first member to ask that question here. :)
I LOVE Pterano. He's my fave, even more so then Sierra. Hehe :wub
-
I LOVE Pterano. He's my fave, even more so then Sierra. Hehe :wub
Ahh yeah, he's one of the more cooler ones. They got a very good voice actor to voice him. (Wasn't it some guy from Austin Powers or something like that?)
What's your favorite movie of the year?
-
Ice Age 3. :)
-
What do you think of Tria?
-
Do ya play any video games?
-
describe what you look like :smile
-
@Noname: I guess she's okay. I like how she puts Mr. Three Horn in his place. :lol Especially in the 12th movie when she tells him to move over and he falls. That was priceless! :lol
@CT: Yeah definitely. :) I have a Nintendo DS Lite and I play mostly Brain games, Catz Petz 2, Avatar, and Wall-E. I tried playing Guitar Hero once at a friend's place and they had a PS3 I think. :p
@SV: That's not a question.
-
WHAT! ... is the capital of Assyria?
WHAT! is your favorite color?
Also, if you are still curious, the swallow joke is from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. So were my questions, by the way.
-
^ :lol
I have never seen any of the Monty Python films, but my friends used to say lines like that. :) I just thought it was funny. :P:
I don't know what the capital of Assyria is, but my favorite color...is... black. Hehe. :lol
-
You changed your avatar recently to feature Sid, the sloth from Ice Age. Were you planning to change your member title as well? (*RAWR* doesn't strike me as something one would expect to hear coming from Sid's mouth. :lol)
-
Sid says all sorts of things so I wouldn't put it past him. :p
Amy, have you watched Bambi before?
-
Pangea: I thinking of doing that, I just don't want to right now. :p
Petrie: Hehe. I sure have! That was one of my favorites as a kiddie! :D I didn't like it as much as Lion King or The Aristocats, but I did like it. :)
-
Are you an avid role player?
-
^ Nope not by a long shot. xD
-
Did you have a fun birthday? :o
-
I did. ^^ I'm going to have a party with my friends tomorrow too. :D
My bf came over for a bit and gave me a necklace and roses. :D Then another friend came over just to wish me a happy birthday. :D Finally, I went to local Chinese restaurant and got a nice digital camera from my rents. :^.^:
Thank you for asking. :)
-
Great to hear it. Got good fortunes in your cookies, I hope, not the old "Your fortune lies in another cookie".
Which birthday was your best so far? :birthday
-
I have to say...my 16th. I was in another country when I had it, it felt like a rite of passage to me. My 17th birthday is actually going one of the few birthdays I have had at home. :P:
-
Awesome, I wish I could go to a different country.
What countries have you been to?
-
Ireland(that's where I went to for my 16th)
Britain
Canada
That's it. :)
-
Why did you pick the user name Rat Lady?
-
Do you like mice
-
I'm in a very giddy mood right now. How about you?
-
LBT: I picked it because at the time I loved rats. I still like them, but I don't love them as much as cats. ^_^ I just wanted to make something different, something I wouldn't forget, so I chose that one.
PB: I actually wanted one when I was a kid. :) I like them too, I just like rats better.
lbt/cty_lover: That's good. :yes Sadly, I'm not in as great of a mood as I would like to to be. :( :cry
-
Who's your favorite fiction rat or cat?
-
I LOVE Remy from Ratatouille, mostly because he had an ambition and he followed it, no matter what circumstance he was in. As far as cats, definitely Simba from the Lion King. I have a history with Simba and I feel very connected to that character and his species. ^^
-
What is your favorite computer-animated film?
-
Someone probably done asked this, but what's your favorite subject in school?
-
@Noname: I don't have a favorite. :oops Though visually, I LOVED Polar Express, but storywise, I loved either Ratatouille or Wall-E.
@Alex: Again, you were the first to ask that! 8D
I would usually say English, but recently I've started to REALLY love Geometry! :D
-
Do you have a favorite voice actor from the land before time?
-
@Noname: I don't have a favorite. :oops Though visually, I LOVED Polar Express, but storywise, I loved either Ratatouille or Wall-E.
@Alex: Again, you were the first to ask that! 8D
I would usually say English, but recently I've started to REALLY love Geometry! :D
Wall-E is like..awesome..
Geometry is like a..math? Right? I suck at math ;p. But hey, if that's your thing, cool.
Another one that probably has been asked, what's your favorite kind of candy? ;)
-
Geometry is the ONLY math I like. ;)
Oh boy...that would have to be Swedish Fish. Gotta love the winegums! :D
I do like dark chocolate also, but I think that's too refined of sweet to call it a candy. ;)
-
Yeah, I don't consider any chocolate to be 'candy'. I've never been a big fan of chocolate, though. I want to try swedish fish. I'll buy some tomorrow on the way home from school, in fact.
Do people tell you that you're interesting, often?
-
Yeah, some people do. :) Others just think I'm random, funny, quiet, shy, or just weird.
It depends who I am with and how I act in certain situations. Here I am very outgoing, in the real world though, I can get pretty shy and quiet.
-
That's a shame that you can get shy, you're quite interesting. I'm often quiet myself, though, so I can't criticize you.
What happened to the little guys in your signature? They shrunk. :o
-
Thanks. :)
Naw, the eggs just hatched. :D
-
Well I'm eating swedish fish as I type. They're pretty good. ;)
How was your day?! :D
-
Hmm I wonder if I can convert you to the unOfficial Swedish Fish church. :lol I already tried to do that with brekclub and Pangea, but nothing happened from there. :p
Okay. I'm glad it's Friday. :) I'm happy that I can rest longer then usual. I do have to write and finish a speech by Monday though. :p At least it's on a subject I like. hehe
-
You probably could, I ate the whole bag in like 3 minutes flat.
Well, if you have to do a speech, that means you've gone back to school, I'm guessing. How many students are there in your school?
-
Ehh...well it's increased since the two years I was there. >.> I have to say about over 400. :p It's still small compared to some other schools, but it has gotten A LOT bigger. :p
-
Wow, yeah, that's small. I live in the middle of nowhere and we still got like 1,200.
Anyway, I'll try this again..a question that's probably already been asked. Where'd you get the idea for this thread?
-
I go on a lion king forum and they have these things called "member caves" where a member has their own space on the board where only they can create threads. They sometimes have the "Ask me" threads.
I had this idea around the time while I was in one of my moods in July or August, the time when I wanted to leave this place permanently. I didn't want to do another idea topic, so I just made this for myself originally. :p
-
What makes a rat cute, aside from their wee little nosies and tootsies :)?
-
Eh, I have to say their whiskers, their nosies, and their laugh! :D They shake and have a very high piercing sound, that no human could hear, but it's funny that they do laugh. xD
-
How many more ppl do you think you'll inspire into creating their own "ask me anything" thread?
-
I guess every active member here. :lol
-
Do you like your name? (I don't know if other people think about this, but I rather like my name)
-
I do now. It just fits me. ^_^ I used to want to be named Sierra when I was younger though, mostly because I loved Sierra from LBT 7 and I loved the Sierras the few times I went there. I thought Sierra was an awesome name. :D
-
Do you like steak?
-
I'm not sure I haven't had it in years.
-
Sorry to hear that :o
Do you like tennis? I looooove tennis.
-
Nah, I'm not really interested in it. My likes in sports are pretty limited. :p
-
Ah, that's cool.
How about coloring pages? Do ya like coloring pages?
-
Hehe, sure. ^^ Who doesn't? I color once in a while when I have nothing to do.
-
Mega happy, ey? That's good to hear. 'Softly Smiling' was the most positive one in weeks.
Anyway, have you ever made a website?
-
Hehe, yeah thanks. :)
I just made a forum, but I never made an actual "website". :p
-
Good, don't try, it'll drive you crazy :]
By any chance, do you know where they sell microphones for an ipod touch? at&t store, maybe?
-
:lol but now that you say that, I do want too. :p
You could try the apple store itself.
-
Yeah, I didn't want to get it online, though.
Are you creative? Can you think up any ideas for a website? I have 5 concepts (1 made, 2 in the works, 2 unmade), and I want 8 websites by the end of this semester (Goal that I made for myself).
Sorry to mooch off of your creativity. :p
-
I think I'm creative. :) I unfortunately don't really know your interests other then that you love tennis, lbt, and music, but I think I have a few ideas:
*A site about a political subject you are interested, if you are interested in politics, state the facts about something in a situation and then state your opinion on it.
*A site about a certain set of beliefs.
*A how to play tennis site
*A site about LBT
*A site about a tv show you may like
Just a few you may or may not be interested in. :)
-
Ahhh well, those would definitely work, a common misconception about web design, is that people make websites about stuff that they're interested in. When in actuality, you don't make the website about what you're interested in, you make one about what everyone else is interested in.
And I couldn't make one about how to play tennis. I don't think I'm good enough to tell other people how to play. :p And an LBT site, Austin's site would definitely outclass mine.
Thanks for the suggestions, though. I really do appriciate it. :D
Question number..what's it like, 75 now? Do you like to dance? :angel
-
You're welcome. :)
I'll take your thought into consideration, but to be honest, I personally wouldn't care if I made a website and people didn't care for it. I'm just glad I could make a website and I could be proud of it. :) That's just me though.
Sure! I like dancing. :) I actually want to take some belly dancing classes near where I live.
-
Do you do any type of skating?
-
What made you decide to put an emotion meter in your signature? (its not such a bad idea I might do it myself one day)
-
I'll take your thought into consideration, but to be honest, I personally wouldn't care if I made a website and people didn't care for it. I'm just glad I could make a website and I could be proud of it. :) That's just me though.
Of course! I'm proud of all my websites. Probably should've told you that my goal is to get people to come to it, makin' money, and all that. My bad.
Belly dancing! Awesome. As weird as it is, I saw this video of a 7 year old chick doing some kind of hip hop dance thing. She was pretty good. It was like a 4 minute song, and after it, the girl says to her mom "Again?". Wasn't out of breath or nothin'.
Have you ever used a gun before? Firing range, hunting, cans off of the fence, etc.
-
Do you do any type of skating?
Nope. Though the only skating I do enjoy is ice skating.
What made you decide to put an emotion meter in your signature? (its not such a bad idea I might do it myself one day)
On another forum I go on, this one member is AWESOME at making graphics and those things. So he made mood buttons. I thought that was an awesome idea and I thought "What if someone made those buttons here on the GOF?" I would make them myself but I just don't have the time or skills for it yet. Don't even know how to use the scanner for my computer. :bang
So I just thought for now, I could just make a manual mood meter with words instead of images. But I REALLY want to make LBT mood buttons, and let other people here use them too. :) Again, I just don't have the time and skills yet. Also I'm afraid if I try to download a certain program for learning photoshop or something that it's going to harm my system. So I just am very indesicive about this situation... :confused

Nope. :p I do practice weapons in my martial arts class, which include fake guns, but no I never used a gun in my life. And to be honest, I'm not sure what would happen if I had to, if my life depended on it....
-
I got to hold a gun for my first time yesterday. I am now a man?
Probably the most important question yet! Which do you prefer, Yahoo or Google?
-
Haha, um is your first question a rhetorical question?
I like them both for different reasons. Google I think is a better search engine if you want to find something crucial. Yahoo, I can look up Yahoo answers and groups were I can connect with other people. Most of the time though the groups I join, the people are gone already and no longer active! <_<
-
Oooh yeah, I forgot about Yahoo Answers..they really have made that section into something pretty cool. Yahoo (or microsoft for that matter) can't compete with all them google ads all over the place, though.
Lol, the first question wasn't for you, sorry. More of a question that's a statement (If that makes sense).
What web browser do you use?
-
I thought so. :P:
Safari. :)
-
Have you read this?! News Article (http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/09/07/giant.rat.papua/index.html) :o :o :o :o
-
Now I have. :yes :D Wow, that is awesome! :)
-
*edit: removed cause it made the page too long*
Is that cool? Or can I do better?
-
It's cool, but I don't know, can you do better? :)
-
Lol. No. :]
You think you're going to get the Proactive Member award again this year?
-
:lol ...I don't know...maybe.....:p
-
Have ya started your regular school year yet?
-
Yeah. :) I started a few weeks ago.
-
Do you like your classes this year?
-
Yeah. ^^ I hate the fact that almost EVERY subject is all Christian and VERY right wing based. >.> No offense if you are a Republican and a Christian.
-
Haha. I am neither, no offence tooken.
What time does your school day begin and end?
-
It starts at 8 and ends at 3:30.
-
How are your cats?
-
Both of them are doing good. Though my youngest one gave me a scratch along my face due to me hugging him when he didn't want to be hugged, so it looks like I was fighting with one and I have a scar on my face to last me a lifetime. :lol
-
Sucks for you. I wake up at 8. :p
What's your opinion on the president's speech to the students? And that health care thing everyone is arguing about?
-
I unfortunately didn't hear the speech that Obama made to the students, so I can't say.
I say the health care plan is a good thing. :) I'm glad he's trying to help all Americans get health care. I believe everyone deserves to be healthy and Obama's plan makes sense to me. :yes
-
Do you play any instrument?
(Your avatar for some reason made me ask this question : :p )
-
Well, Nightwish is a band and it's one of my favorite opera metal bands of all time. :D
No, I don't play an instrument. I wanted to play guitar for a bit, but I lost interest. It might come up again, though I am not sure. I seem to like using my voice as an instrument more than anything else. :yes
-
How's your homework load looking this school year?
-
I have NO homework. xD I do have to write a speech this weekend though. :p
-
Do you wacth the show Supernatural?
-
Naw, I don't. :p
-
Awwww boo. You should try it. It's a great show. :p
Another epically important one..What's your favorite flavor of pringles? :o
-
I do like the original flavor, but I really don't like nor eat pringles very much. :p
-
I ask you back :), do you like waffles?
-
:lol I haven't had waffles in a while. I like them over pancakes for some reason.
I remember liking waffles before, but now I don't know. I would love to have them again some day...
-
Back on page 4, you said you like Martial Arts.
Do you have like, one of them belts? I dunno how they do things in that sport..basically, how good are you? :o
-
I recently got my one stripe for my green. Right after that is brown and black. The key is going often in martial arts, so you can get the belts faster. ^^
And I'll show you the site of the martial arts I go to: http://www.shintaikido.com/ (http://www.shintaikido.com/)
-
I'm not sure I understood a word of it, with all the degree's and such, and all the Japanese words, but the Dave guy seems pretty good at it.
So, you being like 2 belts away from black belt, I'm assuming you can beat me up? :o
-
Why? Ya want a piece of me now buddy? Let's take it outside! :anger (:lol)
-
:bolt :bolt :bolt :bolt
Due to your peaceful disposition, I'm also assuming you've never had to use your training for actual self defense?
-
:lol
I never had a physical fight with anyone in my life. In my dreams though, I had a few fights with either people or the Devil. A few times though I thought I sensed someone looking at me "strange" and I gave them the evil eye and the went the other way.
-
What does Impish mean?
-
Impish is the same thing as mischievous, elfish, sly, and the like. If you look up the prefixes, suffixes, and think of the "little folk" like pixies, fairies, and elves, it all means the same thing. :)
-
How many more questions do you reckon I can come up with before I run out?
Edit: And then there were 10.
-
Well, it depends:
How long you are going to be at the GOF.
How long you and I live.
:lol I'm sure you meant it as joke, therefore, I'm giving you a VERY sarcastic answer.
Seriously, I don't know. Ask me as many questions as you want. :)
-
Well I plan on staying at the GOF longer than I plan on living..sooo..
Speaking of which..Do you ever use the word 'reckon' when you're talking to someone?
-
Naw. :p
-
Yeah..neither do I..
You ever use one of them laser kayboards that just beam down on your desk, and you type on the desk and it works?
-
No, I never heard of those until now actually. :)
-
Oh.
Probably already been asked, but what's your favorite TV shows?
-
I actually did answer this before, but it's all good. :)
I really don't watch too much tv now days. I just don't find anything that is on air now entertaining. :p However my favorite old tv shows would have to be, Avatar, Dark Shadows, Truth or Scare, and probably The Wild Thornberrys.
I seem to watch Animal Planet, History Channel, and those types of channels nowdays. :)
-
Huh, same. I definitely watch more national geographic, discovery, stuff like that..never used to watch that stuff.
Do my endless questions ever get annoying?
-
No, not all. :) I'm happy to answer any questions you have.
-
Oh, wonderful.
Do you ever use the "Add Reply" button? Or do you only use the "Fast Reply" button?
-
I use the fast reply button nowdays. When I joined, there wasn't a "fast reply" option. I would just reply to the topic. Now I use fast reply all the time. :)
-
Do you have a Twitter account?
-
Nope, and I don't really plan to. FB is probably as far as I will go to things like that. :p
-
Ahh boo, I see it as the opposite. I love twitter, I get to talk to my brother that way. Never liked the Myspace and facebook..myspace was a girl kind of thing anyway..
If you saw a dude at your school wearing an LBT shirt, would you think it was "gay" or cool?
-
I think it would be awesome if a guy was brave enough at my school to do that. ^^
-
I could say a few comments on why a person shouldn't have to be 'brave' to wear a shirt, buuut this is your thread, after all. Besides. That makes me brave. ;)
Do you put pepper on your food?
-
It's just at my school people can get pretty homophobic and it's a private school, so we wear uniforms. They really aren't that bad, at least I don't think so. I would cheer if someone wore something like an LBT shirt, I would ask where they got it too. :lol
Ehh it depends, pasta and salad sure, since I don't like salad dressing at all. :x Maybe in some meats, pepper would be good too.
-
Huh, you go to a private school..should've asked that..
Man..pepper..I've been missing out for 17 years.
Do you like your uniforms? Are they really as bad as people make them seem?
-
To me they look cool. ^^ I mean the school is pretty lenient with the uniforms, unless you are going to chapel, the guys have to wear suits and the girls have to wear skirts. I don't go to chapel though, since I'm home schooled. :p
Edit: I just want to make clear with something. I take two classes at school, and the rest is at home.
-
Haha, I was wondering what you were talking about 'til that edit. :p
Probably already been asked, do you have any siblings? Do you like them?
-
I have two half siblings that are both older then me. My brother lives out of California in Arizona and my sister just started living with me and my parents. Some stuff was going down with her and she needed a place to stay until she got herself together.
-
Interesting.
You ever been in a good mood, then like, a minute later, someone manages to piss you off?
-
Lol, yep. :p More then once that happened to me. :p
-
I hate it. :[
Probably asked this already, but do you like Gatorade?
-
I never drink Gatorade. :p
-
Booo you're missin' out.
What's the longest book you ever read?
-
Okay if you say so. :lol
Has to be the Bible. -_-'
-
Huh, that's what made me ask the question, I was thinking about readin' that thing.
What time do you usually go to sleep at?
-
Around 10-12. :)
-
(Last question for today, bed time)
Do you often wear a hat?
-
Nope. :p
-
What's the best gift you've ever been given? (You can't say life :p)
-
^:lol
Hmmm...I guess it would have to be that trip to Ireland for my birthday, that was a REALLY awesome gift. :)
-
Whadya have for dinner :lol?
-
Orange Chicken from panda express. YUM! :D
-
To me they look cool.
You're home schooled? Why are you home schooled? For how long have you been home schooled?
-
Yup. I've been homeschooled ever since I was a freshman. :yes
It mostly has to do with my LDs and the fact I can't stand having their beliefs in every single darn subject I have. :bang
-
Orange Chicken. Lol.
What's your second favorite color?
-
Purple, pretty much any shade of it too. :) Except Barney purple, I don't care for that. :p :x
-
What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten?
-
Plain yogurt...:x
-
How's your family :)?
-
They're good mostly. :) Thanks for asking.
-
What do you do on weekends?
-
I volunteer at the SPCA and go to church(though I haven't been there in awhile). :p
-
Are you SURE you don't like tennis? :(
-
Yeah I'm sure.
-
Have you ever seen the movie Terminator 2?
-
:p Nope
-
Gaaaah you've gotta see it.
Anyway, you think a career in the FBI would be cool?
-
And I never seen any of the Terminator movies in that matter. *shrugs*
Certainly! :)
-
Well T1 was alright, T2 is one of the best movies ever, the third one sucks, and that new one is alright..besides christian bale..
What's your favorite letter of the alphabet? :o
-
I guess "A". :)
-
What's your favorite book?
-
Me no have a favorite book.
-
Do you play any online dancing game?
-
I guess "A". :)
Yesssssssss
Which smiley is your favorite? :birthday ? :wow ?
-
@Dual: Nope. :p
@Alex: :wow.
-
Do you believe in ghosts? :o
-
I'm very open to the possibility, but I can't say I ever had contact with a ghost before.
-
Do you often download files "illegally", as it is most commonly known as?
-
Yup, who hasn't? ;)
-
Lord knows I have :p
Do you like cell phones? :o
-
Yeah I like cell phones, I just wish texting wasn't so darn expensive and that people could just talk in plain English instead of "tlking lik tis"
-
What are you feeling ecstatic about? :p
-
Just about life. :) The fact that I have all of my school work done and I am going away from my hum drum scedule for a week is just awesome. :)
-
When will the RP start up again?
-
On the following week. :p
-
D'oh :bang!
Who is that in your avatar :)?
-
Sorry. :p
That's Emmy Rossum, she played as Christine Daae in the 2004 movie of The Phantom of the Opera (POTO). She has a career in music as well as acting. She's one of the lesser known celebs. :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmy_Rossum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmy_Rossum)
-
I like the new avatar :]
Anyway..have any of your internet friends ever lied to you about somethin' big?
-
Thanks. :) She's one of my favorite famous people.
Internet friends? Hmmm I'm not sure....if they did I never caught on that they did. :p
-
Do you watch the show Family Guy?
-
Sometimes, I like Stewy the best. :D But I'm not really a big fan of it.
-
I couldn't resist. One last one, for the hell of it.
Probably won't see your answer, though..ah well..
Do you prefer pencils or pens?
-
What is your favorite track by Nightwish?
-
Pencils definitely. :)
I'll miss you Alex. :( You are definitely one member I am fond of.
-
Do you like markers?
-
My favorite Nightwish track...
I go through different phases where I like certain songs more then others. Right now, it's "Creek Mary's Blood". :yes
-
@Noname: Nah...too messy... :p
-
Do you like markers? I shouldn't have to post something twice...
Then again, it IS a rather trivial subject to ask about, so I can see where you would miss it.
-
I just responded a few minutes ago.
-
We must have been posting it at the same time. Didn't see it. Now I do.
-
Pencils?! I can't stand pencils anymore. Remind me of math class.
Your opinion on public restrooms?
(Won't get to see this one..probably should've thought of a better question, too..)
-
What do you think of the bailout of the banks?
-
lol, some public restrooms are okay, others need to be more clean! :x
The bank bailout? I never heard of that....so I don't know what to think about it...
-
The Federal Government spend billions upon billion saving banks which were "too big to fail." Taxpayers now have EVEN MORE debt to pay off... and we already ran up HUGE bills prior to the bank failures... <_<
-
With school and all, how many hours do you sleep at night?
-
:lol, my sleeping patterns vary. I can go to sleep at 10 or something if I have no work to do, but sometimes I'm up at midnight because my brain is still active during the night. :p
-
Do you prefer to be addressed on the GOF by your full screen name, just “Rat Lady” (with or without the underscore?), or by your real first name?
-
Call me by any name, anyway it's all the same.....(When You're Evil-Voltaire) :lol
-
What IS your real first name, in that case?
-
Check out this link: http://z7.invisionfree.com/thegangoffive/i...wtopic=6306&hl= (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=6061&hl=) ;)
-
(thanks Amy ;) )
-
(I think I'll just continue what I've been doing already: using "Amy" to refer to your character in the RP, and "Rat Lady" to address you personally. ;))
Do you like pterosaurs in general, or is it mainly just Pterano, Sierra, and Petrie? :p
-
I like them in general, they really are one of my favorite prehistoric creatures. :yes
-
Yep. Same here. :smile
What happens to all of those little dragons that appear in your signature as eggs, and then disappear when they grow up?
-
In fact, it was BECAUSE of the LBT characters Pterano, Petrie, Sierra, and Rinkus that I got into pterosaurs and Pteranodons. :yes
I use their BBC codes to remove and put new eggs and hatchlings there. Once they have grown up, I just remove the link to them. It doesn't kill them or anything, they just remain in my Dragon Cave scroll (Account). :yes
-
How did you speech on Amy Lee go :)?
-
lol, it turned out that it was too short...so I got a low B on it. :p Oh well...
-
Ouch :!.
Same question I answered: What is your favorite holiday :)?
-
I have a few faves, I like Valentine's Day, Halloween, the Winter Solstice, and Christmas.
But if I had to narrow it down to what is my favorite one of all....I would have to say Christmas.
-
I use their BBC codes to remove and put new eggs and hatchlings there. Once they have grown up, I just remove the link to them. It doesn't kill them or anything, they just remain in my Dragon Cave scroll (Account). :yes
Interesting. :yes
How many dragons do you have at this point? (I mean in your account, not in your signature. :P:)
-
21 dragons. ^^
-
Have you ever contributed to a wiki? I have some contributions if you want to see...
-
Yeah I have, I submitted one of my fan characters in the LBT wiki. ^^
http://landbeforetime.wikia.com/wiki/Land_...Shaman_Angelina (http://landbeforetime.wikia.com/wiki/Land_Before_Time_Wiki/OC/Shaman_Angelina)
-
Cool. I've got dozens of things... so I'll just link you to one. My FEATURED article :D
http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Cassia_%283.5e_Deity%29 (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Cassia_%283.5e_Deity%29)
-
How was your day :)?
-
:lol There's a storm where I live, so it was VERY wet and windy today. :p It's the aftermath of the typhoon that hit Japan and the Philippines. So it's a wimpy storm compared to the effects they had, but still...it was strong for us....
I'm doing the PSAT tomorrow, so I probably won't be online at tonight. :p
-
Do you prefer the original red Swedish Fish, or the other, differently colored flavors (yellow, green, etc.)?
(When I originally thought to ask this question, it made me hungry for Swedish Fish. I’m eating a bag of them right now. :p)
-
The original for sure! That's the good stuff! ^^ The mixture flavored just tastes like your average American gummies. :p
-
(I wholeheartedly agree. :yes)
Have you ever watched the Discovery Channel series MythBusters?
-
Nope. I usually watch supernatural things on discovery kids though, and even that scares me a bit. ^^ lol
-
(Thought I'd bring it up because you've indicated in the past that you find it insanely funny when people inhale helium. Adam Savage, one of the two "main" MythBusters, does this on several occasions, particularly during myths that involve helium. Though this (http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/mythbusters-fun-with-gas.html), in my opinion, takes the cake. :lol)
Besides pterosaurs, are there any other prehistoric creatures that you find particularly interesting?
-
Whoops, I just realized that "Myth Busters" wasn't anything supernatural, it kind of defies the supernatural, but I think science can show WHAT is supernatural and what isn't. Other then that, some people just don't want to listen to that and believe in the supernatural stuff. :p .....lol....sorry I was on a VERY different planet when you asked that question. :lol
Anyhow, that was funny, thanks for the link. :lol
Oh tons of creatures! Like the prehistoric birds, sabor tooth tigers, miacis (the ancestor of MANY carnivores), the prehistoric sharks, and even some of that REALLY ancient bacteria stuff.
-
Ever watch "The Scariest Places in America" on the Travel Channel?
-
Nope. :p
-
I'm going to turn the question you've been asking everyone else back on you: :p
What are YOU going to do for Halloween? :P:
-
I'm glad you asked. ^^
I'm just going to dress up, have a party at home, watch a few halloween-like movies, and just celebrate Halloween my own way. :)
-
How are the kitty cats :smile?
-
My cats are good. Though my poor old man is shedding like crazy!
-
Why are ya feelin' lonely :(?
-
lol, now I'm estatic! xD
I just wanted someone to talk to and now I am on fb. ^^
So I'm a bit better now, and thanks for checking. :)
-
I see you're feelin' calm :). How was your Halloween?
-
It's still going! :D It was nice and fun just to hang around with friends and fam. :)
Right now, I'm just watching some Hallo's Eve movies. Hehe ^^
-
this question has probably been asked alot but how did you come up with the idea for your RP?
-
Cuz lbt s kewl!!!!
No, actually because I wanted to get involved in some rp, since I never really been in a successful rp. Or if I make one no one really joins...So this has to the most successful rp I have ever done.
Also I saw Aves rp that had a similiar plot to this one, so I wanted to make "In the Land Before Time." ^^
-
Any idea if there will be "sequel" to your RP after "In the Land Before Time" is finished, or is it too soon to tell :p?
-
Absolutely! I think there definitely will be a sequel. ^^
-
In your experience as a Dragon Cave member, have you ever had eggs and/or hatchlings die on you? It keeps happening to me, and I figure that I'm either doing something wrong, or suffering from extraordinarily bad luck. :bang Do you know if it help if I had fewer eggs/hatchlings at a time?
-
I had to make the choice to kill a hatchling when I bred them, or when I knew a hatchling was going to die, I would freeze them from growing. Then I would release them in the wild. :)
I wonder if you (or someone else) is clicking your dragons too many times. Or they are being viewed too many times. That could kill them. :( There is also a discussion forum on the first page when you log in. You can click there and maybe find tips and help from the the How to discussions. :)
Hope that helps. :)
-
I've got a question about what your mood meter is currently displaying:
I'm Feeling:
Fluffy
What does that mean? :lol
-
I couldn't find any other mood then that...I don't know I just felt fluffy... :3
-
Same question: How ya doin' :)?
-
Bleh...I need finish up some stuff...>_> I KNOW I can wait til tomorrow...but I really don't want to. I just want my weekend to be hw free... And I'm just a little sad about a few things...:p
-
How was your Thanksgiving :)?
-
Very good! Awesome food! I'm thankful mom is such a good cook! ^^ :^.^:
-
What was the first thing you ever said? Like when you were a baby?
-
I think it was "juice" or "cup". :p
-
What was your first pet ever :)?
-
My eldest cat Funcat. ^^ Weird name I know...but I was four when I named him that.
-
What's the career you're most interested in pursuing :)?
-
Being an author. ^^
-
What works do you want to specialize in as being an author?
-
Mostly novels. :) Maybe self-help books about certain religions.
-
What can I do so people ask me more questions about myself?
-
Maybe you can be a bit more active here and post on a variety of topics. You can't force people to post in your thread. Be patient. :yes
-
How do you deal with stress?
-
How've you been?
-
GVG: Hmm, that's a hard question for me actually...
You see, I KNOW what I can do to deal with stress, but when stress comes I can completely go nuts. Especially when I see other people stressed out. Like my mom...*shudders*
So I can talk the talk, but I can't walk the walk. :p I guess I just hold my breath, then breathe, and just do what I need to do. I'm just going to be piled up with more stress by the minute if I delay anything.
Alex: Hi! Glad to see you back. :D
I'm good. My last final is tomorrow. ^^ So I feel very relieved mostly. You?
-
Tomorrow is my last day before I get two weeks off (I'm skipping Friday...going fishing instead). Outside of school, I've been good enough. Glad to hear that you've been good. A real badass Lil Wayne CD just leaked, so that'll keep me happy for a while. One of my websites got a record 77 page impressions today, that was cool. Thanks for asking.
Do you like to fish?
-
I never fished before. :p I caught a crab before though. ^^
-
Never fished before..gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Ok well I'm out..talk to ya whenever. Have a merry Christmas.
Question..uh..Why are ferrets so awesome?!
-
Because:
-They are fuzzy.
-They're smart.
-They're pains in the behinds at times
-They're exotic
-They run on speed. :lol
-
If you could have a super power what would it be?
-
Hmmm...I guess I would like the ability to transform into anything I want. If I need to go somewhere, I can just turn into a bird and fly that distance.
-
I'm going to take the last question you asked me, and ask it to you. :p
If you could have a pet dinosaur (or pterosaur), what kind(s) would you choose?
-
Hmm...I'm not sure...I guess a Microraptor, because it's small enough to live where I live, but I would have to keep it away from Gypsy, since Gypsy would try to hunt him. xD
-
I haven't seen any dragons in your signature for a while. Have you stopped raising them?
-
Eh, I just kind of lost interest in the DragonCaves. :p I still visit there at times, but I just don't really want to get anymore dragons.
-
Do ya happen to like "The Neverending Story"? If so, which character would ya most likely be?
I know, random question :p.
-
I hardly remember that movie at all. I was in third grade when I saw it. I don't think I really understood what was going on very much. I still remember the wolf, the kid, and that dragon. So I unfortunately don't have a favorite character.
-
What are your plans for the near future?
-
Well I do plan to take a class in college next week, Human Sexuality, then right after my last year in high school, go into a community college. I plan to be there for as long as I need to. And for a job I might want to work for retail, like in an indepandent shop, or maybe Apple. :/
Also, I love writing, and I have a unnamed novel (or series?) I want to write and perhaps publish.
-
How are your cats?
-
The babies are doing good. ^^ Although my little guy and I had a bit of a fight this weekend. Bad boy.
-
Why did you get rid of your mood meter? :confused
-
I just got tired of updating it. :p And there's already a "How are you Feeling" thread, so I stopped updating my mood.
-
^ Hmm...understandable. I’ll still miss it, though. :p
What made you choose the name “Rebecca” for Petrie’s mother in the “In The Land Before Time” RP?
-
I looked at and analyzed Petrie's mom's personality, and to me, she seems to be the no nonsense type and won't take your crap. At the same time though, she seems to be hard working mom and absolutely adores her kids, or even other kids that aren't her own. :)
I read a chapter in the bible about this woman named Rebecca and I thought the personalities were pretty similar. Though I don't quite agree with Rebecca's last actions in the bible about telling her son to trick his own father to get his older brother's birthright....I am talking about when I first read about Rebecca. It's in Genesis if memory serves me right, if you are interested in reading it.
-
Is California where you'd like to always remain, or have ya ever thought about moving to another state/country :)?
-
I think for now, I'll just live in good ole Cali. But I do plan on traveling in the not so distant future to other places. :) And I DEFINITELY want to Ireland again! It was just such an amazing country! ^^ So who knows? Maybe one day I'll live in a different state or country, but ehh...I can't that happening nowadays. :p
-
Someone's probably done asked this, but whatevaaa
I understand why you're the Rat_lady, but what's the 7 at the end for?
-
I love odd numbers. :) And I really like seven, I don't know, it just seemed befitting at the time. :yes
-
Intriguing.
You ever listen to the band Shinedown? I just downloaded an album of theirs that I neglected back in '08. Good stufffff.
-
Hmm I don't think so. If I did like a certain music group I would definitely remember, so I can't say I have. :p
-
That's a shame.
You ever read comic books? 'The Green Lantern', specifically.
-
Yep! I usually read comics on DA though, I never go out to buy comics unless they are REALLY rare and unusal comics. Like Darkwing Duck. I found it in a Disney magazine and I couldn't believe they had them still! o.O So I just got it. :D
-
You mentioned on the “How are you Feeling?” thread that you were feeling “AWESOME”. Why, if I may ask? :)
EDIT: By the way, congratulations on becoming an Ultimate LBT Fan! :DD
-
It was because of the conference, the different parts of it that I went to really empowered me as an individual on the spectrum. I finally went there as a person that thought of myself as a person instead of feeling like dirt and less than, then other people that are neruotypical. I went to all the teen/adult tracks and the infromation was VERY helpful. I even got e-mails from certain people that spoke! And I swear that woman, Jenny that spoke reminded me soooo much of Cancerian Tiger! o.O It wasn't even funny. But she was funny of course. :lol
And thank you. ^^
-
Really? That's scary but interesting at the same time :wow.
-
See? Autism isn't as bad as everyone makes it sound :) . I'm actually prouder than a rooster to have Aspergers, personally 8D !
Do you feel more 'unique' and 'special in a good way' after going to the conference?
-
I don't feel more "special", but I'm glad to know I'm not the only person the world going through the challenges I am going through.
-
See? Autism isn't as bad as everyone makes it sound :) . I'm actually prouder than a rooster to have Aspergers, personally 8D !
That makes two! Cock-a-doodle doooooooo! :lol
Okay, now for a question. What country is on your list to see first once you're outta school? Is it one you've never been to before, or is it Ireland again ;)?
-
Well, I do have a list of countries I want to see, first the countries closer to America.
I'll be going to Mexico in March, so that doesn't really count, but I do plan to back to Canada again, especially the Quebec area. I've been hearing really good things about it. :yes
-
what is your favorite book?
-
Mexico, eh? What part(s) of it :)?
-
what is your favorite book?
The bible, in a literary sense. I love Dracula and a few other books too, but I have to say as far as literature goes, the bible really tops all the books out there! o.O
Mexico, eh? What part(s) of it ?
I'm just going to Acapulco. Funny thing is, for a week, I have to speak just Spanish when I am there, hardly any English. :lol
-
interesting.. who is your favorite author?
-
See? Autism isn't as bad as everyone makes it sound :) . I'm actually prouder than a rooster to have Aspergers, personally 8D !
That makes two! Cock-a-doodle doooooooo! :lol
Make it three. :smile Though I'm more of a clucker than a crower. :p
Did you learn anything interesting about the autism spectrum at the conference? :)
-
I'd like to see Acapulco one day :yes. I've only been to places on the eastern coast of Mexico.
Acapulco is notorious for cliffdiving :D. That being said, ever think about trying it? I might someday, but I'll probably go feet-first, or rear-first if I cannonball :p.
-
Well, unlike the three of you, I have PDD-NOS, and a lot of people say that's a very wishy-washy term. It's just like saying, "You might have the cold, but we really aren't sure, so here is some documented proof of our ignorance." >_> I personally am pretty pissed about it myself, the diagnosis and the fact I can't be taken seriously by others as being on the spectrum, especially these organizations that are designed to help those on the spectrum, but they won't take me in because of my stupid diagnosis.
Sorry about the rant...anyhow...on with the questions.
interesting.. who is your favorite author?
Now that's tough. Probably William Shakespeare or Dr. Suess.
Did you learn anything interesting about the autism spectrum at the conference?
There is this group called "PEERS". http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/health/P...Transition.html (http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/health/PEERS_Autism_Program_Child-To-Teen_Transition.html)
It's a program where teens and young adults with ASDs, more HFA or AS, come together to figure out how to plan get togethers with friends, the social cues and whatnot. I would probably go there in a heart beat if it wasn't so far away from where I live. >_>
Then there are these "Oxygen tanks", that autistic people can go in to get more oxygen in their brains so they are more awake during the day.
Then I learned that because of my diagnosis and it's wishy-washyness, organisations would never help me because I don't fit in their own little box of what autism is supposed to be. If anything is dysfunctional, it's the system. :anger
Acapulco is notorious for cliffdiving . That being said, ever think about trying it?
Probably not...I'm REALLY, like REALLY terrified of heights. To the point of having it be a phobia.
-
Screw those organizations, then! Looks like they're contradicting themselves by practicing discrimination against the disabled while supporting the disabled at the same time. Talk about ignorance . I don't give a crap if I'm and Aspie and you're not. Anybody who is nice and a good friend to have around, regardless of label, fit in my book and that includes yourself ;). It takes all sorts, remember :)?
A'ight, time for a question: What are your thoughts on the new layout of Facebook? Due to adjusting to change, I'm still tryin' to get used to it :p.
Oh, dangit! I forgot about your acrophobia. My bad :bang.
-
Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. :( :oops
Then there are these "Oxygen tanks", that autistic people can go in to get more oxygen in their brains so they are more awake during the day.
Did they say anything about having more oxygen in your brain helping you think more clearly? If so, I could sure use one of those. :rolleyes
-
Thanks, sorry about that rant. :bang , it just is frustrating when you are trying to live in a world that wasn't built for you, but for someone else. :p
And I know there are things that did and they will continue to help me, it's just because of my diagnosis, my parents and myself had to go to extreme lengths to help me with my stuff, financially, emotionally, physically, etc. If I was a classic autie or an aspie, it would be different. :/
What are your thoughts on the new layout of Facebook?
It's still the same over here. :p So I don't have thoughts about it.
Heh, it's okay, yeah I'm not exactly a thrill seeker in that sense. Lolz :p
Sorry. I didn't mean to upset you.
You didn't upset me. :) I just can't believe the lengths people around me and my parents would go to, to help me with my stuff and the supposedly, "professionals" dismiss it because it doesn't fit their own citeria of what the spectrum is supposedly to entail.
Again, you didn't upset me or anything, I was just saying what I learned.
Did they say anything about having more oxygen in your brain helping you think more clearly?
Well it makes you more awake with the world, so it definitely can help you think more clearly as well. That's how I understood it at least. :yes
-
You didn't upset me.
Good. I'm relieved to hear that.
Hmm...did they mention how much it costs to get one of those oxygen tanks?
-
I unfortunately didn't ask that. :( I imagine it's very expensive though. A lot of things people need are usually very expensive. <_<
-
Just out of curiousity, and because I want to ask you something....
Do you like the Die Hard movies? And if so, do you have a favourite out of them?
-
I never watched the Die Hard movies. :( Sorry
-
Ah, tis all good ^^
Then I shall ask this one instead! What's your favourite movie you've seen?
-
Oh man...that's pretty hard. >.<
As far as animated movies go, I REALLY love Lion King.
And for live action, I REALLY like Rabbit Proof Fence and Whale Rider
-
Hey, you got more dragon eggs! :! What made you decide to start collecting them again?
-
I just wanted to have dragons in my siggy. :)
-
How was Acapulco :)?
-
Have you ever seen the movie "Babe" (The sheep-pig)
-
@CT: One word: MAGNIFICO!
The people there were so polite and so helpful with helping us with our Spanish and where to go!
I did get sick again over the week, so mostly rested in the resort and swam a bit. The service in the resort was top notch, something I would have never expected to find in Mexico. I <3 the language! I love hearing it and speaking it. It feels so strange coming back to an English speaking country. While I understand my own native language...I find it...boring and choppy. >_>
@Ptyra: I LOVED that movie when I was a kid. I unfortunately don't have the DVD of it, but my goodness...it was one of my faves. :3
-
^ Heh. I still have the VHS...and we just watched it.
Did you know that the theme music was composed by Camille Saint-Sa”ns (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d0itDEs9uo) (who also did the Carnival of the Animals pieces)?
(I got all choked up whenever the theme music played...at any point of the movie...and when Fly's puppies were being adopted (followed by Babe asking if he could call her "mom") and when Ma died.
-
Hm, nope I didn't know that. Or was that a rhetorical question? :DD
-
No, it was not a rhetorical question
Where did your cute little avatar come from?
-
^:lol
I was just typed up "pterosaur", then "pterodacyl" and I looked hard enough to find this little guy. I have NO idea where he is from, but I liked the pose he had and I thought it was fitting to have the subcaption below him to say, "Come with me, I'll take you home".
:D
-
If you were to recommend anything to my Ptyra storyline-or Ptyra herself-what would it be?
-
Be as original as you can in your story, be careful about putting in cliches, and definitely have Ptyra be a strong woman. For me, as a woman it's a lot more empowering to read or watch a strong woman in action.
-
How often do you watch the LBT movies?
-
Not very often to be honest, I'll probably watch LBT movies once every other month. :p
-
Has there been anything that scared you, but you laughed a moment later (Like me being startled by my own reflection once. Long story :lol )
-
Someone's definitely asked this one, but I'll go for it anyway.
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? :p
-
@Ptyra: I have actually, I just don't remember what it was... :p
@Alex: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! :D
-
@Alex: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! :D
Mmmmmm I feel ya, any kind of cookie dough is delicious.
Do you like cheesecake?
-
Hmmm I'm pretty picky with it. Some cheese cakes I like, others...bleh....
-
What fan fictions have you read?
-
Quite a few, mostly Monsters Inc fanfictions and when I was younger I read A LOT of Avatar and Danny Phantom fanfiction.
-
Have you met our newest Pterano fan yet?
-
Your avatar looks familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. What's it of?
-
@Ptyra: Unfortunately no, but I am glad we have more fans! ^^
@Alex: It's one of the avatars invisionfree provides, it's just a place holder avatar for now, since I can't really seem to find an avatar that just "fits". :p
-
Do you like Lil' Wayne? :o
-
I never listened to him actually. I think he's a rapper though, and if he is, I really don't listen to rap. I find a lot of it to be very degrading. :p
-
Haha, true. Wayne is the only rap I listen to. :p
How often do you eat Salad?
-
So, my family's boy cat is one of those "biting" cats, but lately he's been biting lots less and becoming sweeter. I don't think it's an age thing because he's about four years old. Do you have any ideas about what's going on?
-
@Alex: Ugh...I hate it. >_> I know it's good for you and all...but I loathe the dressings...
@Ptyra: Well, I have a three year old (He turned 3 today actually ^^) and he can nip at times, but he's calmed down as he has become older.
Believe it or not, I think your youngin' is growing out of biting, just reading the info you gave. :)
-
Do Funcat and/or Gypsy spend a lot of time outside, or are they indoor cats?
By the way, pass my birthday greetings on to Gypsy. :birthday
-
Do your cats like boxes or paper?
(Happy birthday to Gypsy. May he have a great day.:D)
-
Yes, tell your cat I said happy birthday.
You don't like salad. I always saw you as the 'salad' type.
Have you ever had a fish tank?
-
Do Funcat and/or Gypsy spend a lot of time outside, or are they indoor cats?
By the way, pass my birthday greetings on to Gypsy. :birthday
Thanks for the birthday wishes for my little guy everyone! :D
Nah, they have to be indoor cats, because it's so dangerous where I live for cats to be outside. :p
Do your cats like boxes or paper?
Gypsy loves both, he LOVES to tear paper up and loves to play in boxes or bags to hide. ^^
Funcat I don't think is one to like paper, but he likes to hide in boxes, hehe. :D
Have you ever had a fish tank?
When I was a little tyke, yes, had a few gold fish, neon fish, and an alaege eater. They actually lived to be pretty old fish, one of the gold fish and the alaege eater living the longest. :)
-
He doesn't like to lick the paper does he? Mozart does that...before tearing it up into little pieces of course.
How old where you when you watched the Lion King?
-
Do Funcat and/or Gypsy spend a lot of time outside, or are they indoor cats?
Nah, they have to be indoor cats, because it's so dangerous where I live for cats to be outside. :p
Do either of them ever try to get outside? If so, have they ever gotten far, and how do you stop them?
More or less, I'm asking you for advice on how to keep Sasquatch from becoming too much of an outdoor enthusiast. :p
-
^
You could always drug him with catnip.;)
Do Funcat and Gypsy like to command attention 24/7 or is it just my cat?
-
Do either of them ever try to get outside? If so, have they ever gotten far, and how do you stop them?
More or less, I'm asking you for advice on how to keep Sasquatch from becoming too much of an outdoor enthusiast. :p
When Funcat was younger, he would try to go outside, but since he's older, he has less energy and doesn't really try to go out.
Gypsy is a travel kitty, so he doesn't mind the outdoors, but he doesn't really try to escape to go outside.
I guess the advice I would give you for Sasquatch(awesome name btw) is to really play with him a lot. He sounds like a very energetic kitty, like my little guy. :3 Or maybe you can train him to walk him if you and your fam have the time and patience for it. :yes I must say I don't have Gypsy outside walking a lot, but when I do, he enjoys it, until he hears cars and other loud noises. Poor guy. :(
You could always drug him with catnip.
Do Funcat and Gypsy like to command attention 24/7 or is it just my cat?
Oh, they both are attention hogs. :P: Funcat cries for the attention and Gypsy usually rubs up against me so I can play or pay attention to him. The difference between the two is that Gypsy knows when I can't give him attention, but Funcat....he just persues until you give him the attention he wants.
-
Mozart cries to the extent that when he gets the attention he's happy.
Do they choose what they want for their dinner?
Mozart rubs his head and nibbles the packet of food as in saying ''that is what I want.''
How long have you had them? Have you had cats before?
-
Ooh neons. Small little guys.
What've you been up to lately? :p
-
Do they choose what they want for their dinner?
How long have you had them? Have you had cats before?
Asking quite a bit of questions eh? ^^
Funcat is very spoilt and definitely tries to eat anything and everything! :lol
Gypsy can try to eat what I am eating, but he pretty much knows that if I offer it to him he can have it, if not, he can't have it. :p
Funcat has been a part of the family for 14 years. :) The little guy only has been part of the fam for 3 years. :)
What've you been up to lately?
Well I'm mostly just resting and catching up with people. :smile
-
I feel ya on the resting part.
You planning on getting any more cats any time soon? :o
-
I feel ya on the resting part.
You planning on getting any more cats any time soon? :o
Oh no! That would just be asking for trouble! :bang
Maybe once I'm out of school I'll foster kittens again, but nooooo I definitely don't want and another kitty in the house.
-
In your opinion, what is the best part/thing about Ireland :D?
-
What do you think about mustaches?
-
In your opinion, what is the best part/thing about Ireland :D?
The pubs, hands down! :smile Also Galloway and the rest of western Ireland, it's so beautiful and I feel the real genuinity of Ireland on the west coast. The east coast is a bit more international, which is nice, but I good old, solid Ireland the best. :D They have the ruins of the castles, the farms, the small cottages, and the cliffs. Just so beautiful.
What do you think about mustaches?
They crack me up! Especially when I look at the mushes of the last century and the century before. Men really got into their mushes and making them look a certain way. xD I think the best mush ever in history though was Stalin. Just absolute classic mush. :3
-
Yeah, he definitely had the potential to grow a monster, but instead he stuck with the classic look. That takes character.
You think a kangaroo would make a decent pet?
-
Hehe, a kangaroo...maybe, if given the room to roam and maybe give them punching bags or whatever to allow them to kick without kicking you. :)
-
^ As far as I know, you'd only need such a punching bag if it was a male kangaroo, as they're the ones who “box” as a means of settling dominance issues and competition over mates (they also do it playfully, apparently). If it was a female, you’d only need to worry about it kicking in self-defense.
A mutation of Alex’s mustache question: what do you think about sideburns? :p
-
^Oh okay, thanks for telling me that fact. :smile
Hmm, I never really put much thought into them, to me, side burns are side burns. :p
-
Since you're around the San Francisco Bay area, you're close to Alcatraz. Have ya ever paid a visit over there, and if so, is it really as creepy as its rumored to be?
-
I unfortunately never have been to Alcatraz, so I can't say what it's like. :p
-
You finally found a new avatar. I guess there's an obvious reason you would have it, but I'll ask anyway.
Why the peace symbol?
-
I personally just like peace. :) It's definitely a virtue that can be hard to achieve in this fast paced world, but it CAN be achieved. :)
-
In your opinion, could some of my Ptyra/Ada-and-Pterano art be added to my Pterano fanclub on dA?
-
Well, it's related to Pterano isn't it? I think you could. :)
-
Have you ever drank orangeade?
-
Plagiarizing your own question Amy, do you think of the land before time as a guilty pleasure?
-
Oh wow, there was a question that posted here awhile ago that I didn't even see! :slap Sorry about that!
@Alex: Yup! Next to Root Beer, I should go for an orange soda drink. :^.^: My favorite brand is probably Fanta.
@Malte: *gasp* WHAT?! I SHOULD SUE!!!! :anger
Naw...just kidding... :P:
You know, what's funny is that I didn't know it had a sexual connotation, I even looked up the term "guilty pleasure" and I didn't see a definition what said that. I guess that's society for ya, making everything all about s-e-x. :slap
Anyhow, my opinion on it...I personally don't believe in it since my whole life tastes and interests are guilty pleasures. :lol If I said LBT was a guilty pleasure, I might as well say animation is a guilty pleasure of mine, since I am REALLY into all things animated.
So no, I don't believe I have guilty pleasures. I really don't have anything to be guilty about. I could feel guilty about my tastes if I wanted to, but no, I like what I like.
-
Based on what I saw on a FB post, are your favorite dog breeds Golden Retreivers and Yorkies :)?
-
Yeah, pretty much, though a mutt would be okay too. :3
-
Who would win in a fight, Batman or Green Lantern? :o
-
Batman pwns all. o.O In my opinion at least. :3
-
I'm sourly disappointed.
Speaking of Batman, who do you think should be the villian in the next Batman movie?
-
^LOL. I don't know anything about Green Lantern, I just looked him up recently. That pretty much why I voted Batman. It's pretty much the only "superhero" thing I like.
Hmmm I'm not sure, the Joker is always epic...but maybe Scarecrow? :p
-
Well I don't think they're going to get anyone else to do the Joker since Heath Ledger won't be able to do him. And they won't recycle Scarecrow, no one likes him anyway. What Nolan was originally talkin' about was Johnny Depp playing The Riddler. :o
M&M's or Skittles :o
-
Skittles. :3
-
Amen.
You like beef jerky? :o
-
Yassuh, and it's a great survival food to have if you had nothing else. ^^
-
You like Terrence Howard?
-
I don't know who he is unfortunately...:(
-
Do ya have your driver's license yet? If not, ever plan on getting it :)?
-
Nope. :p I is scared to.
-
Finally, I found someone else that doesn't want to drive!
Who's your favorite comic book character?
-
*high fives*
Hmm I'm sort of in the middle of Joker and Catwoman. I can relate to Catwoman and her cat craziness, and the Joker...well...he's just awesome.
-
What's your current profession?
-
Unemployed, though I do volunteer work at the SPCA.
-
How many movies are you watching for your Disney marathon? (I know it's all the Disney films you own, but what is that number, specifically?)
-
33 films I am watching. I have a total of 37 disney films, it's just, I've seen those 4 films recently, which are Pixar.
-
How's everything :)?
-
Do you watch Dog the Bounty Hunter? :o
-
How's everything :)?
Pretty good, just relaxing for most of the summer. :D
Do you watch Dog the Bounty Hunter?
Naw, but I think I have heard of it.
-
Do you think you could give me ideas for a fanfiction of A Bug's Life that I'm writing :p ?
-
I unfortunately don't have anything to advise at the moment, sorry. :(
-
You a Junior or Senior in schoolz?
-
I was a Junior, but I'll be a Senior soon! ^^
-
Bah, thought maybe you'd be graduating this year ;p
Well when you do graduate, are you gonna be excited and happy, or sad to be leaving? Something I've been hearing about alot lately.
-
I guess when it comes to it, everyone is going to have mixed feelings about it. I'm very happy that I don't have to study things I don't want to study and I have more freedom with my life then I would have then being a minor, but when you are at that age, you have to do those icky adult things...like paying taxes... :x
-
If you had a single cream pie to use on someone in the entire world, who would you "give" it too? ;)
-
Hmmm *thinks* :idea
I think I would give it to someone that really deserved a knock on the head and slap on the face. :lol
-
Have you finished your big Disney movie marathon yet? If not, how many more movies do you have to watch? :)
-
Well I was done with my marathon, but I bought two other films. Mary Poppins and The Great Mouse Dectective.
I watched MP yesterday and I am thinking of watching GMD today. I have become greatly interested in the fandom for quite a while so I just wanted to get the film. And if I were to be perfectly honest. I actually REALLY like Mary Poppins.
"A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down, medicine go down, medicine go down..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5IW9wK_HNg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5IW9wK_HNg)
-
Are you planning to post again in the RP anytime soon?
-
I will, I just am at a brain fart at the moment. :p
-
I see you have that cute little flier in your avatar again. Have you found where he comes from?
-
He is a webkinz character. I think he is just called "Pterodacyl".
http://www.wacky-packages.net/webkinz/webk...pterodactyl.htm (http://www.wacky-packages.net/webkinz/webkinz-pterodactyl.htm)
-
Have you ever seen these creatures before? And have you ever dreamt about them? I mostly ask because I have dreamt about a black one that knew how to fly. :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axolotl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axolotl)
Where did you find out about axolotls, and how do you suppose they made such an impression on you? :lol
-
I actually knew about them as a kiddie, I just never really took an interest in them until this year. The dragon in "How to Train Your Dragon" reminded me a bit of the axolotls. It was just how it looked and the antomy of the dragon. Amphibians symbolically mean change and they are "bridges" to the land and water, so I'm wondering what these guys were trying to tell in my dream.
-
The dragon in "How to Train Your Dragon" reminded me a bit of the axolotls. It was just how it looked and the antomy of the dragon.
He does look like one, now that you mention it. :!
Amphibians symbolically mean change and they are "bridges" to the land and water, so I'm wondering what these guys were trying to tell in my dream.
Hmm . . . I'm no dream interpreter, but do you suppose the fact that the axolotl is an amphibian that lives its entire life without crossing the metaphorical bridge (unless motivated by drastic conditions) is significant? :idea
(Sorry; that was pretty much rhetorical. I don't really have another question for you at the moment. :oops)
-
Okay, now I have a new question. :p
Have you ever read Tailchaser's Song, by Tad Williams? It's a xenofiction novel (similar to Watership Down) about cats; I read it a few months ago and quite enjoyed it. :yes
-
Adding on to Pangaea's question....do you enjoy reading? If so, what book genres do you enjoy reading? Any particular books that in your opinion are outstanding novels? Would you recommend any of them?
Do you do sports? If so, have you ever taken part in tournaments/competitions?
Out of the Lion King songs, which one do you like to listen to more and why? (Including the LK2 and LK1.5)
How are things going? How are your cats?
-
@Pangaea: I definitely had that on my list of books I want to read but I just focused on other things and put that down for a bit. Now that you bring it up, maybe I'll check it out.
@Saft: Yeah definitely. Although I went through a period where I didn't read books, but I'm going back to it. :)
-I do like them, but right now I'm doing some marital arts and some dancing. I would like to get back to swimming too. :) I also had some horse back riding lessons a few years ago.
-Lion King (The Original Soundtrack): "To Die For..."- I love this score piece. It's so beautiful, intense, and I sometimes have this song on when I am cooking up ideas for my stories and what not. I have a thing for dramatic chase scenes like this, so this is really my fave out of this soundtrack.
Lion King II- One of Us-I really like "Love Will Find a Way", "We are One", and "My Lullaby", but One of Us I think would be my fave due to the tensity of the hatred of the Pridelands for Kovu for "betraying" them.
Lion King Broadway Musical- There were a lot of good songs in this one, but I think my fave would be between "Shadowland" and "Lioness Hunt". Shadowland has such a great lead singer. Her voice is awesome! And I like getting a bit more of Nala's story of why she ran off to find help.
"Lioness Hunt" because the sound is so authentic to tribal, African music. I love a lot of that type of music and I could imagine lionesses hunting for their meal. :3
-I were to be honest, it's been a bit rough but also inspiring. Heh, I have time for writing at least! ^^ My kitties are good too. I think my little guy though is extremely bored.
-
Do you like lolcats? That is, do you look at them a lot? And are there any specific ones that you particularly like?
(Sorry, this probably crosses over into “REALLY stupid question” territory. :p)
-
Naw, it's not stupid.
I like them, sometimes I even talk like them if I am in a random mood like:
"I HAZ INTERENETS". :p Or something like that.
-
I thought it might be a stupid question because of how cat-obsessed you are. It's almost like asking Cancerian Tiger if she likes Triceratops. :p
While we're on the subject of cats, are there any wild species that you are particularly fond of or interested in? (That is, tigers, lynx, cougars, cheetahs, ocelots, etc.) :)
-
I LUVE lions. But lynxes and snow leopards fasinate me.
I like all cats, but if I had pick a wild breed, it would be those three. :)
-
^ Heh, you should come up to visit me sometime. The zoo near where I live has all three of those cats. :lol
I forget whether this has been asked already, but besides cats, rats, and pterosaurs, what other animals do you especially like? :)
-
I love all animals. Even those a lot of people fear. Some animals I probably would not go near like ticks, but these guys just kept popping up in my dreams, on tv and in life. I just respect them for who they are, even though I personally think they are pretty gross.
However these are what seem to have greater attachments to when it comes to other animals:
Horses
Bats
Axolotols
Snakes
Spiders
Turtles
Elephants
Chinchillas
Crows
Iguanas
Falcons
Hawks
Koalas
Lemurs
Gorillas
Whales
-
It's been a surprisingly long while since you were last asked a question in this thread, so I thought I'd bump it. (Sorry that the only question I could come up with at the moment follows the same pattern as my last few. :oops)
Besides Pteranodon, what prehistoric creatures interest you the most? (I forget whether I've asked this before.)
-
Really any of the flying prehistoric animals, the very small ancestor of the cats and other mammals of today, mammoths, the ancestors of sharks and coachroches. Oh and that creature with that swirly shell thing that is usually shown in documentaries or books about prehistoric life.
-
The swirly-shelled creature you’re thinking of is probably the ammonite (http://www.sdnhm.org/exhibits/mystery/fg_ammonite.html). ;)
Prehistoric cockroaches, really? :! I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who’s expressed an interest in them :lol
Prehistoric sharks are incredible. :wow If you like them, you should see Ray Troll’s (http://trollart.com/trollart_toplinks/galleries/sharks/index.html) artwork (http://trollart.com/trollart_toplinks/galleries/sharksb/index.html) (though note that the two galleries I’ve linked to include pictures of modern sharks as well).
By the way, what about dinosaurs? Are there any of them that would be on your list? :)
-
Meh, I like all dinosaurs. Mostly the predators, whether flying, swimming, or running. :)
-
Similar question I was asked.
What are your spending habits like? Saver, big spender, or somewhere in between :p?
-
I save A LOT. Though when I REALLY want to spend on something for me or someone else, I'll do what I can to get that gift. ^^
-
It's the first anniversary of the “Ask Me” thread today! :birthday :wow Congratulations, Amy, for starting a phenomenon! :celebrate
Do you remember what inspired you to start this thread in the first place? Was it your own idea, or had you seen someone else do it on another forum? (Garrr…I wish I had a better question! :bang)
-
Wow really? :o
It was from another forum I go on. We have these sections on the forum called "member caves" where it is completely dedicated to the more active members on the forum, a rite of becoming a full time member if you will.
So sometimes the said members have the "ask me" topics so others can know more about them. I liked the idea, but I didn't know if we would want to have member dens in our forum, so I just made this topic and what do you know? We have a section dedicated to it. What was funny was that I didn't know this was going on in the rock circle, so I didn't have to advocate for this section, others did it for me. xD
I guess everyone likes to talk about themselves every now and then. :yes
-
What are your favorite outdoor activities :)?
-
I'm unfortunately not a very outdoorsy person. :oops I mean, I like the out doors, but I don't really do anything with it other then hiking, but even that I don't do very often.
I'm just content with long walks and maybe even camping out...but white water rafting...that's not really my idea of fun. :confused :bolt
-
Uhm, I hope I didn't come across as offensive in our chat about the Civil Rights movement?
I didn't mean to be in case I was.
-
Seriously, don't worry about it. I'm just doing too many things at once. :p
-
Have you tried entering your Dragon Cave eggs and hatchlings on any of those sites that are designed to provide views for them? That's what I do, and let me tell you, it really helps. Post an egg on two or three of these sites and it's virtually guaranteed to hatch. These are the ones I mainly use:
Eggs Around the World (http://dc.makegames.de/)
Daily Dragon Fix (http://mirror.dailydragonfix.com/account.php) (There's a catch with this one, in that you need to click on at least 20 dragons a day, or your own eggs and hatchlings get taken down.)
Dragonnery (http://www.dragonnery.isgreat.org/index.php?add=)
Silvi's Lair (http://lair.silverdrak.de/) (This site seems to be less active than the others, as far as the number of people visiting it to click on dragons, so I don't use it as much as the others.)
-
No I never tried those sites and to be honest, my dragon eggs actually have hatched before just on here with no problem. What happened was I used one of my Earthquake dragons to see if it would hatch them a bit faster, which resulted in three eggs dying. :(
Thank you for the links though. :)
-
So, how was your starday :)?
Turning the big 1-8 seemed a bit nervewrecking to ya? I can understand, becoming a grownup can be somewhat frightening. However, once you've adjusted to it, being a grownup is really not all that bad, and your interests and beliefs won't change just 'cuz you're chronologically older. Nobody should let age change their likes and interests, just so ya know ;).
-
My starday didn't start! Not here anyway. :DD
Still 17 over here...lol
-
^ Curse these time zones and me not getting enough sleep :bang :rolleyes!
-
^Meh, it's okay, wouldn't it be nice if all our time was all the same? Hehe
-
When we gave our cat, Boots her food and left, she would only eat a very small portion of it, but we realized she would eat it if we watched and petted her. Would you have any idea why she will only eat her all her food if we do that?
-
Did you have a good birthday Amy?
-

Did you have her as a kitten? Or if not, maybe whoever raised her encouraged her to eat by petting her, since sometimes that's what people need to do when the have kittens with them. She would be known as an affectionate eater, relates food with human companionship.
Did you have a good birthday Amy?
It was wonderful! Thank you for asking. :)
I was really a tourist for the whole day at SF city and went to Alcatraz. My gosh that place really got me hard. Especially the section where all the troublemaking prisoners would go.
-
I really would like to see Alcatraz someday. So, what's it like :)?
-
It was a very intense experience, for me. As I just simply set foot on there, I felt some tingling sensation on the ground, like it was all still too alive even though the prisoners were no longer there.
We went into the cell house and we had a guided audio tour where they showed different parts of the island. It was VERY cold though, so when you go, especially during the summer, BRING COATS and possibly gloves and scarf.
You see in all the cells how the prisoners lived and they explain everything that took place there, the attempted escapes, the shootings, everything.
And of course, there was the room for all the misbehaving prisoners, they would put them in these dark silent cells and keep them in there for months...possibly years.
You could go inside many of the cells as well.
I personally felt so much energy there, not just because of the people alive, but the place just by itself, it felt so alive...
-
Some may think it's all hocus pocus, but there is a theory about how folks on the spectrum tend to be way more sensitive to paranormal presences and the spiritual realm than their NT counterparts. This is even used to explain why those on the spectrum seem to have very strong connections with animals.
I remember feeling a very similar experience when I visited the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam. When we went through the secret annex and up to the attic Anne and the others had lived in for two years, I really felt as if there was a presence, and I am positive it was not my imagination :!.
Now a question: Is your major still going to be in Theology, or has that changed (don't worry, many college students change majors repeatedly so it's quite normal)?
-
Well it is going to be something about Religion, I don't know about Theology, because from what I understand, Theology is more a Christian look at religion and I just want to moderate, secular view on religion when I am studying it. That's just me though.
-
What were the details I got wrong on the picture of your dinosona that I drew? (This includes color.) :)
-
Nothing really TOO big you didn't put in, but just a few things:
Neck: I would have made her color the same color as the rest of her main body, cream.
Eyes: My eyes are narrower then what was drawn. They are almond shaped, but more on it's side rather then drawn upward. Also, I usually drawn my OC women characters with the eyelashes more at the end of their eyes.
Beak: I would make it smoother then crooked to make it a bit more elegant.
Claws: I would make them definitely much longer then what was drawn.
But other then that, I loved it. ^^
-
Edit: Sorry Wrong topic. :lol
-
Random question (and meant to be just for fun): Do Swedish Fish come from Sweden :lol :p?
-
No. :P: But they do come from a company that was originally Finnish, so MAYBE in a way they DID come from sweden, but maybe the put "Swedish" in the name because they inspired them in that way. :p
-
First of all, I'd like to say again that you have my deepest sympathy for your recent loss. :( Clearly you were very close to Funcat, and I imagine this is a difficult time for you. You know you can talk with me any time you like.
You described Funcat as being very shy. Was he the kind of cat who would always run and hide whenever he saw a stranger?
-
Yeah, he would usually run and hide with strangers around.
And thank you. *hugs*
-
Yeah, he would usually run and hide with strangers around.
And thank you. *hugs*
You’re welcome. :) *returns hug*
Did Funcat have any of those endearingly bad habits most cats seem to possess? (Like Sasquatch’s tendency to attack my feet and climb everything in sight. :lol)
-
No, he was defintely a different, angel cat.
When he was young, he would yowl if no one was paying attention to him. He would give his famous Siamese tinged meow when he was talking to us. :)
-
Wow. :o Now that's a special cat.
Did he ever claw the furniture, though? You said you had him declawed.
-
Say, how did you stumble on Dragon Cave? ^_^
-
Did he ever claw the furniture, though?
Oh yes, yes of course. I just don't remember it very much though, I just remember he had to be declawed. :(
Say, how did you stumble on Dragon Cave? ^_^
I joined a religion forum awhile back and a few users there had these dragons in their siggies. I was going through a fantasy stage at the time and I thought it would be pretty neat to have some dragon eggs of my own. :yes
-
How have you been lately? (More specifically, how have you been doing since Funcat's death?)
-
I'm a bit stressed with school work, trying to get that stuff done because I took the first few days of school, so I'm just catching up here.
Me and my fam have been down for these past two weeks. It's strange having a presence just disappear like that. :p
-
Sorry about that. :(
Just curious: being a Disney fan, have you ever seen The Black Cauldron? If so, what was your opinion of it?
-
Is Jesus real?
-
@Pangaea: I've seen it and I thought it was pretty good. :) Not the best Disney film I have seen, but it's still pretty neat. I'm digging the Horned King though. ;)
@metadude: Well if you want my opinion, I think Jesus did exist, I just wonder why there are no clothes, grave, or anything if Jesus did exist.
-
What would you say is your least favorite Disney movie (or movies)?
-
I have quite a few Disney movies I don't care for, and if I don't care for a Disney Movie, I don't buy it. :p
*Sleeping Beauty-Mostly because the plot was pretty bland, and while I like Maleficient and the original story of Sleeping Beauty (Did an essay on it) this story I just didn't care for.
*Alice and Wonderland-I just don't like the story. I feel like someone was literally on a trip when this was made. :p (Both the story and the film)
*Peter Pan-As a self labeled radical feminist(though not by society's standards), I HATED the subplot of the thing between Tinker Bell & Wendy. And all the other women in Neverland when they met Wendy. I know women can be catty with each other...but that was over the top.
*The Emperor's New Groove-I understand Disney was trying to be funny and have a lighter tone...but it really was just not my thing. :p
*Finding Nemo-I'm sure you might be surprised that this came up. I just think it's too overrated. I get the animation was beautiful, I loved Dory, and the plot line had substance, but I still thought it was just...annoying and overrated.
*101 Dalmations II: Patch's London Adventure-What was the purpose of this thing? Just to get an extra few dollars?
*Mulan II-I don't have to say anything else, just...Mulan II. <_<
*Spirited Away-Again, another overrated movie. I seriously don't understand why people like this film. <_< Maybe if I watch it again I will like it. But there was just....something wrong with this film...
That's about it. :p
-
With you being a Darkwing Duck fan and all...
What do you think of the "world's only plant-duck mad scientist" Bushroot?
(He's my favoriiiiite character X3 . I've never looked at my salads the same way...)
-
^
http://z7.invisionfree.com/thegangoffive/i...?showtopic=8603 (http://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=8329)
-
Hmm well with me back and all, I'll answer others' questions when I can. :)
I like Bushroot myself, not as much as NegaDuck I'll admit, but I think he's a cute character. :) It's not very common nowadays to have plant mutants as supervillians or superheroes.
-
I can't believe that it's taken me this long to ask you another question! (Well, I suppose we have been chatting by e-mail…)
How's Gypsy doing right now? :)
Also, did you get the last e-mail message I sent you?
-
Have you started Christmas shopping yet?
-
Pangaea: Gypsy's fluffy and awesome as usual. :-3 Though he's been a bit of a brat when when it comes to scratching the carpet. :p And I basically don't allow him to go in the room which the carpet resides.
Yeah, I got your message.
Nick: Yes, as a matter of fact I have! :) I was Christmas shopping in October! xD I still need to fill out some Christmas cards for some people. :yes
-
Just bumping this thread. :) Feel free to ask me any other questions if you like.
-
A while ago, I think I recall you mentioning that you were planning to eventually start a sequel to the RP, "In the Land Before Time".
Do you still have such plans? If so, would you be willing to give us an idea of what to expect?
-
Yeah, I definitely plan to have a sequel to this. :) GVG actually asked me this.
I'm brain storming myself, but I was thinking of something of the LBT characters coming into our world and instead of looking like how he know them to be. (2-D in a 3-D world), they would be 3-D in our 3-D world.
I'm not sure if they could be human or still be dinosaurs, but in more 3-D form.
-
^ If there's going to be a sequel, doesn't that mean that the original will have to end first? Do you see an ending to the current RP in the forseeable future?
-
:p Well, yeah. Originals usually have to end first before sequels anyway. ( :lol )
First I want the rpers that wanted to join recently play in this current rp. Then maybe if we have some other way to get back home in the rp, then the sequel can come up.
-
^ I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon. (The RP ending, I mean). Personally, I think there's a lot more fun to be had playing dinosaurs in the LBT world than bringing the LBT characters to the human world.
Anyway, I can't help but ask…What led you to post Christmas greetings in 49 different “ask me” threads yesterday? :p (That's gotta be some kind of posting record for this forum.)
-
*shrugs* Well I love you guys and I figured it would be one of the best ways to show that I acknowledged you and the holiday.
Don't worry about the rp thing Pangaea, I don't think it will be for awhile now.
-
What do you think about the first official full body dinosaur color pattern?
I'm sure you've already seen it, but here's a link if you need another look http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...ers-science/o/ (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/01/100127-dinosaurs-color-feathers-science/o/)
-
My apologies for not getting to this sooner, but now that I am here:
That's fascinating! :D :wow I didn't know that happened. I say anything is possible in the field of science. :)
-
Isn't it? I wish they could pull something like that off for some of the more cooler dinos.
So give me a quick rundown! What's been goin' on for the past several months?
-
A lot, that's all I have to say. A lot.
Family drama, holidays, getting ready to graduate, writing, trying to socialize more with the outside world, social situations that went weird, and just living really...it takes quite a bit out of you and can make one go berserk. :crazy
I'm just happy I have my little guy Gypsy, people that love me and that I love back, and the saneness to keep myself from reaching to a cracking point. :wow :bang
So yeah, my life is chaotic at the moment, but at least I have the coping skills to deal with it. :p
-
Well yeesh, the only fun thing I just read was "holidays". Cope! Cope for the sake of your sanity! :P:
If I remember correctly, you like world religions (I might be wrong, might be confusing you with another lady of rats), but regardless, have you ever read the Bible?
-
Actually...the holidays really wasn't fun for me...the writing part is always fun for me though. :)
No, you are indeed right. The lady of rats loves the topic of religion as well. :D
Yeah, I've been reading the bible for four years now. I'm in Psalms right now. :)
-
If you are the lady of rats...then why are you wild about cats?
-
Because cats were my first love. <3
Rodents...around third love.
-
What made you feel awesome yesterday (http://gangoffive.net/index.php?showtopic=7037&view=findpost&p=9225676)? :smile
-
Usually on a holiday like this, I get really down, but I just decided to not be down because I'm single or whatever. It was a lot of fun this Valentine's Day. :) :wub
-
Because cats were my first love. <3
Rodents...around third love.
How did you first fall in love with cats and rats?
-
With cats, I loved them ever since I was a baby. Anything cats you would give me and I would love it.
As far as rats go, well, I always liked rodents, and I never could understand the reason why people would be so afraid of them. Yeah I understood that they could carry disease and such, but I never really had a real fear of them. My baby sitter would have a pet rat and I remember holding it and such. This was when I was seven years old.
Then I saw Ratatouille and it completely changed my outlook on rodents. Rats are very misunderstood animals with a wonderful sense of cleanliness, much like cats. Very intelligent and exactly the type of rodent I would want to get first before any others. :)
-
What other rodents do you like besides rats? :)
-
I've always loved Hamsters, Capybaras, porcupines, and chipmunks. :3
-
Whsat films are you looking fiorward to eeing this year, if any?
-
I know this already came out...but I REALLY want to see, For Colored Girls. I have the poetry book, and the trailer really affected me. So I really hope to see it soon. :)
-
I'm pretty sure I've asked this question on prior occasions, :oops but what in the world left you feeling this (http://gangoffive.net/index.php?showtopic=7037&view=findpost&p=9228216) ecstatic? (Great to see you so cheerful, by the way. :smile) And do you have any suggestions for how I could get a mood boost like that? :D
-
Two words:
DARKWING DUCK http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_DA2Cwm856uo/SMAa...rkwing_duck.jpg (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_DA2Cwm856uo/SMAaIiDNa8I/AAAAAAAAAOA/Cn9wC-yTNLo/s320/darkwing_duck.jpg)
And even more importantly:
QUACKERJACK http://negaverse.net/gallery/gallery2/main..._serialNumber=2 (http://negaverse.net/gallery/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=2294&g2_serialNumber=2)
Or in other words:
MONEY *no picture needed*
Because if you have money you can get these greeeeaaat products, satisfaction guaranteed!
-----------------
Heh, all of this is really me absorbing myself into the Darkwing Duck universe and taking advice from a demented toy maker cartoon on a tv show. "Always keep smiling!" :D :DD :smile
I bought these items on Amazon and I am now even HAPPIER then that demented toy clown: QuackerJack
-
How's your study of the Qur'an going along?
-
I wouldn't call it "study" since it's an independent read on my part, but it's a bit slow. I read a few parts of it this month and now I'm waiting for next month to read more of it.
I set up a schedule for myself on which chapters to read every month until the end of this year.
-
Sorry we haven't spoken in a while. :oops
How are you and Gypsy doing? :)
-
No need to apologize Pangaea. :) I believe I'm more in the wrong here being away from the GOF for a bit.
Gypsy is being his usual, spastic, fun-loving, fluffy self with his wide owl eyes. :-3 =O.O=
As for me, I am a bit overwelmed with all the carp I have to do on the interbutts and in RL. Funny enough though RL is pretty calming compared to my online life. LULZ. :p So that's a new one for me.
-
I heard you're a massive Pterano fan. How long have you been one? And how did it all start?
-
Haha! So while I was gone for months, some Pterano fans came to take mah place eh? Lol
I know not a lot of people think too much of the seventh sequel, or yet think of it as a crappy sequel, but story wise, I thought it was decent. Not blockbuster material or anything, but decent.
As an 8 year old, I was in awe by how this sequel didn't seem so "kiddish" and I LOVED Pterano's character. So much in fact that I got into the LBT fandom again for I lost interest in it when the sixth one came out. While I didn't mind the sequel, nothing could compare to my love for the seventh one. So much in fact that Petrie replaced Little Foot as my favourite of the gang, and Pterano was my first adult favorite.
With this, I made a tale called "LBT12: Warrior Flyers", which I wanted to give to Universal Studios as an idea, for the twelfth sequel. I worked long hours on that one, writing, rewriting, etc. To this day, even with the twelfth sequel out, I could never be satisfied with it. I was too busy to try to make it epic, and while I could see it, others may have not. And with me maturing, I decided to revise it.
As for Pterano, I loved this character so much that I gave him a backstory, a solid reason why he allowed certain dinosaurs to die, and I even paired him up with a character.
Over time, I started being less passionate about the story and the LBT fandom, but to this day, it continues to be my favorite fandom of all time.
-
What made you return to the GOF? Which I'm glad you have :yes.
-
Nostalgia. That's really it. :)
-
Now that you're back, do you have any plans to return to the "In the Land Before Time" RP?
-
Apologies for the delay to respond.
Not at this moment of time.
-
Have you picked up the new Evanescence album yet? If so, what are your thoughts :)?
-
I really can't say too much about it, since I haven't listened to all the songs on it. But the single I heard, er....I really didn't like it very much. I felt literally Amy was singing the same song over and over like she did in Fallen and The Open Door. I had to literally roll my eyes and think, "Okay, this was fine when you were going the crap in the past, but you really need to grow up."
Still, as a long time fan, I'm willing to give the rest of the album a chance.
-
What do you think about Swat Kats?
-
I gotta tell ya, the animation looks familiar, like I may have seen it before as a kid, but I don't remember ever watching it. Sorry. :(
-
First off, long time no talk!
Now I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, but have you or currently been into watching horror movies? This being October & all...
-
Hey. :)
I'm really not a horror movie fan. I mean, I'll give some mystery and suspense, or classic horror a chance, but you'll have better luck of me watching it if it has a musical attached. I.e. Sweeney Todd and Repo!: The Genetic Opera.
-
Bumping this just to say if anyone wants to chat today or tonight, my pm box, this ask box is open. As much as the holiday can be wonderful, it can be stressful too.
