Title: Price for Wii U Revealed
Post by: pokeplayer984 on September 14, 2012, 12:29:25 AM
So, wondering how much you're going to have to drop when the new Wii U comes out?  Well, here's the price.

Now to wait for the Amazon Store to put up a pre-order.  Also, to keep $400 set aside for that big day. (Yeah, I'm going premium. ;) )

Bah.. 300 euros is not something I can afford right now :p and yeah, it won't be cheaper than that because europeans are rip-offs... Getting one shipped from the states would be cheaper, but we still have the whole pal thing going on :/

Anyway, it's a tiny bit too expensive for me. Around the $200 mark would've been nice, but I assume it'll be worth less eventually.

I find it funny how there is no games I like on the Wii U at all. :lol On topic the price is a bit too much. I thought it would be in the one hundred area. If it doesn't sell well there might be an price drop like there was for the 3DS.

Maybe, but I actually think the Wii U will sell well. The 3ds was just ANOTHER DS.. Surely with a 3D function, which gave many a headache, but it's been over 6 years since the last tv-console came out. People have been waiting for quite a long time now, and with the additional Touchscreen controller it truly has created something new. But yeah, next to the Mario platformer I'm not interested in the games either.

I think there can do better if there make more games like ZombieU. But even that's not as good in my view compered to other zombie games out there.

Gameplay of ZombieU.

Funny how I placed a comment about this game. Funny how it got 15 likes and only one bad comment about it. Funny how it was removed by Nintendo. Funny how there don't like the truth.

Ease up on the Anti-Nintendo attitude dude. Zombie U looks like a piece of trash to me too.

Hopefully Ninty would have learned from their mistakes with the 3DS. By the looks of things, they actually do have some pretty decent third party support backing their console in and around release day. Its exclusives look pretty cool (I was amazed that Bayonetta 2 is announced as a Wii U exclusive!) and other AAA-titles like Assassin's Creed 3, BLOPS 2 and Arkham City: Armoured Edition will give it a good edge compared to the 3DS's launch that had very little besides a few Nintendo games. And even then, not that many of those few games fully demo'ed what the 3DS was capable of.

It's hitting UK shelves end of November at around £249 basic or £299 for premium edition by which the sensor bar is included along with Nintendoland and a Ninty Network subscription package for the latter. Dunno, I very rarely buy new consoles on release day but I can see myself getting one. I can wait for price drops and see what else they do with it before leaping at it myself. Time will tell.
