Wow! So many fanfics on LBT are so chilling and dark, but it's a pretty interesting twist on an otherwise happy and colorful cartoon :)
I love this so far! Twisted and dark and simply, plainly written. I really like how you described the events in such a straightforward manner.
And I love the Mythology reference, seems quite fitting. Good luck with the rest of this! :DD

Chapter 2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nani laid breathing heavily,she closed her eyes wishing to be released from this wastland,she wished to be anywhere but here. Far far away,to see her family again-her real family that was. But thanks to that blasted Hades none of those things will ever happen.
"Nani?" a gentle voice asked. Nani's adopeted mother Renee walked forward. The old female lowered her massive head,"It's ok Nani" she said softly nuzzling the younger female on the cheek.
Nani choked back a sob "It...hurts so much",Reene gave a smile "I know it does,but it's all worth it nothing is as special as watching your very own children blossom and grow". Nani broke the peaceful moment by letting out a scream,she felt like he rbody was being torn apart.
Renee hushed her. Her mind wandered off to the day Nani was given to her.
Flasback..
A group of females were munching on dry twigs. Young children cried for proper food,some hid behind their mothers from the guarding fastbiters that were there to make sure none of them escape while Hades was away.No one knew where the leader was gone. Not that anyone cared.
A lone female was laying away from the group,Hades had killed her child. Silent tears fell down her face,she didn't even to get to meet the baby. Soon as it was hatched it was swiped up and killed,for it Hades's was not it's father. She had mated with a lone longneck while she secretly met on the valley boarders. Of course when Hades found out he was furious. The loner was killed,and Renee was locked in a small cave hardly big enough for her to even turn around,till the day of the birth.
Whispers arose,Hades walked forward blood splattered on front on him,a smirk was spead across his face,what surprised the herd most was to see a young child following him. She was the brightest pink,a rare trait in longnecks. Hades smiled "My dearest herd,this is Nani she will be living with us from now on" he said while kicking the young child forward "I 'rescued' her".
Reene frowned and took in Hades,the blood,the looks she knew the truth and so did the other adults. Her family was murdered in cold cruel blood. By the one she now believed to be her savior.
Hades eyes Reene then pushed Nani towards her "Here,you can take care of her...till she's....ready" with that he left.
Nani had no idea what Hades meant when he said till she was 'ready'. However all the adults did. And it was at the day an innocent life was over.
End flashback
Renee was jerked from her thoughts by screaming, her mind slowly bought her back to the present. Now Nani laid down in front of her,preparing for birth.
Looks like she was...'ready'.

Chapter 3

Nani never knew such pain,she wanted to scream out and beg for relief. A few other of the herd members had gathered.
The next few hours pasted in a blur,before she knew it Nani had 3 eggs by her,she felt a shadow step over her. In pain and exhausted,her mind faded to black.
Hades narrowed his eyes staring down at the female "Weakling" he commented,looking up at the other females his eyes glowed "And what are you woman doing? Should you not be out looking for food?".
Renee gulped and stepped forward "Hades there is none". Hades slapped her "Don't be foolish your just blind theres plenty of food!" he stormed away.
Renee rolled her eyes "For the fast biters maybe". She lowered her head to Nani to check if she was still breathing,she was. Sighing with relief she nodded to her 'herd sisters' to take the eggs to a safer area while she tends to her daughter.
Renee nudged Nani on the cheek,with a moan the pink female awoke 'What...happened?" she whispered. Renee laid her head against her daughters "It's over,the eggs are laid and safe,you'll have 3 children,3 beautiful children".
Nani grumbled "Unless they look like their father". Renee closed her eyes "I'm sorry what he did to you Nani". Nani stood up on her shaky legs "It not your fault mother" she answered in a hurt voice while Renee helped her stand "Speaking of which...where are they?". Renee nodded for Nani to follow "They are safe come with me. Nani followed muttering under her breath "Curse you Hades.I wish you would die,you and your little biter pests".
Unknown to the females,the tyrant of a leader was watching them and had overheard Nani's comment. He turned to the fast biters next to him "Wait till the eggs are hatch then...kill the children...then her".
A month passed,and the new life was starting to be born.
Nani was watching her shaking eggs,by the time the day ends she would officially be a mother.
Cracks appeared in the first egg,a small blueish male emerged. Nani smiled "He...looks like my father Ben,and I shall name him so. My little Ben". She licked her newborn. The second born was a was a mix between purple and blue with a touch of grey. It looked very odd. But she was beautiful. Nani proudly named her 'Lily'.
Nani smiled as her 2 newborns slept on her back. She looked at the 3rd egg watching for movement. A tiny crack quickly spread as a startled infant appeared tumbled out. She was completely confused,where had her shell gone?.
When the herd saw her colouring they were startled. She was the bright pink like her mother,with the same sparkling eyes. Not an inch of her father was seen in her. Nani pulled her close,the hatchling looked up wide eyed at the big monster. "I will name her Nahla". Nani declared licking her.
Nahla pulled back and tried to run off,only to bump into Hades. Hades looked down and his face darkened "A girl...A GIRL!" he turned to Nani "How could you!". Nani stood up after passing her infants to the herd "So what if she is a girl she is YOU daughter not that YOU deserve to be her father!".
Hades stared at her "How...dare you...not that it matters since your dead anyway" the fast biters closed in.

Chapter 4: (Sorry bout forgetting to upload 3 before but is now)
The Fastbiters attacked,Nani screamed "Please don't my children need me!". Hades laughed "Oh your children are dying too ".
Renee ran forward to get the fast biters of her daughter "Get them off her!" she shouted to Hades. Hades smirked "Nope".
Nahla looked around terrified,a herd member picked her up and placed her with her shaking siblings. The rest of the herd jumped in to defend Nani.
The fast biters knew they were outnumbered and outsized and fled. Hades yelled after them "GET BACK HERE YOU WEAKLINGS!".
Nani quickly stood up and limped on three legs to her children. The hatchlings stumbled forward to greet their mother.
Hades got into her face "You have won today Nani but I high suggest you keep an eye on your little brats,for I give permission for the Fast biters to eat them if they find them alone" Hades chuckled and turned away.
Nahla stared after him tilting her head she didn't understand why the big male was everyone hated the big male.
But she would unfortunately find out soon.
It was only time.
A few years passed and life was still hard. Nahla had grown quite a bit as had her siblings.
"Mother?" Nahla asked softly laying next to Nani's head "Mother why is everything all dark here?". Nani blinked "Because...we have a very bad drought".
"Whats a drought?" Nahla's brother Ben,he was the oldest of the siblings,Nahla being the youngest. The middle child was Lily,she was often made fun of by the other children in the herd because of her colour scheme.
Lily who was laying on the other side on their mother rolled her eyes "Where we have no water DUH remember Grandma told us about it".
Ben poked his tongue at his sister,Nahla looked up she had another question "Mother...who is our father?".
The question shocked Nani,she raised her head to look at her youngest daughter in the face "Your...father...is...".
"Yes?" Ben urged her. Nani gulped "Your father is our leader Hades". The children gasped "If he is our father...how come he never comes and sees us or plays with us?" Nahla questioned.
Nani bit her lip "I can't tell you's,your too young for something like that".
"Aww" all three children complained in unison making Nani chuckle. Nani laid her head down again and sighed.
"Do you miss Grandma mother?" Ben asked. Renee had sadly passed away a few short days ago,she was always a fighter but illness took her in the end.
Nani nodded "Yes I do,but I know she will always be watching over us".
Lily lowered her head and commented "I hate Hades he wouldn't let Grandma have the cure".
"Yeah Hates is stupid!" Ben joined in. Nani was about to agree when the dinosaur in question stood over them.
"I otta teach you brats some respect" Hades said in his cold cruel voice loweing his massive feet upon of them,Ben and Lily screamed but it was far to late.
Nani jumped to her feet screaming as she stared down at her two motionless children,she turned to Hades her rage growing "YOU...YOU MONSTER".
Hades chuckled and attacked Nani,he shoved her against a rock "Say nighty night Nani" he gave a cruel laugh and bought his foot down on to her neck. A scream filled the air.
Hades just laughed as he pressed his foot down harder intending to snap her neck. Fastbiters gathered some were feeding on the bodies of Ben and Lily. Nahla was hiding behind a rock 'Mother!" she screamed running out hoping to save her.
Nani weakly turned to face her daughter one last night "Nahla...run escape'.
Nahla had tears pouring down her face "But mother.." she whispered.
Nani's eyes started to close "Nahla..I love you and I'll be with you always remember that-" she got cut off by a snap and she remained motionless.
Hades laughed and got off the dead female,he then turned to Nahla "My dear daughter..." he smiled stepping towards her "I'll give you a choice you can either Stay here and and I'll teach you everything I know or you can die".
Nahla shook "All you know is EVIL I never want to be like you NEVER!" with that she turned and bolted to the exit.
Three fastbiters came up to Hades side "Kill her" he said simply.
Nahla panted as she ran,aware of her chasers. She reached the valley wall and started the climb. A fastbiter snapped at her tail causing her to lose focus and slip. She kicked a fast biter and she continued her climb,when she reached the top she looked down,she had only one choice-jump.
She looked behind her,her chasers were closing in. She took a deep breath and jumped for her life.
The fastbiters glanced at each other,and figuring she would surely die from that fall left.
Nahla landed at the bottom with a thud,she stood out in pain,her sides were bleeding and her ankle was twisted. But she did it-escaped The Shadowlands. With a sigh she started limping away thoughts of her family on her mind
She glanced back at the Shadowlands and sang a soft song "And where my journey my lead me,let your prayers be my guide,I can not stay her my family,but I'll remember my herd" she gulped and looked forward she took the first step on her long journey. While she walked she glanced over her shoulder to her former home "Beso bo my people beso bo".

Oh! I didn't expect that from the last chapter! :o how sad, to watch her family killed before her...
I like how this is reminiscent of Lion King, but unique enough to be its own. Hades is asking for it.... are you taking requests from viewers to pummel him? :DD

Chapter 5:
Sorry lazy one
Guess who the voice is...

"Nani is dead...such an awful event and the poor poor children who barely begun their lives,this is a loss for us all" Hades addressed his herd in mock depression.
The females hang their heads and sobbed,well lest they Nani and her children were in a better place now...well thats what they thought.
Nahla had been walking hours,she was hopelessly lost. She let herself collapse to the ground. She was starting to think she should of just let the fast bites eat her,least she would be with her Mother and siblings.
"Nahla" a gentle voice whispered.
Nahla raised her head,"Who is there?" she demanded,she did not know that voice but it calmed her,it seemed so motherly but it was not her mother.
"That not for you to worry about" the voice replied "You must find the Great Valley"
Nahla tilted her head "The what?.
"The Great Valley but for now,sleep" light shone upon Nahla and her eyes became droopy. She dropped to the ground fast a sleep.
"I'll protect you Nahla" the voice whispered then faded.
Meanwhile in a valley far away,another young longneck was talking to his Grandparents.
"Littlefoot,you should be graceful" Grandpa said
"I am..." Littlefoot replied looking at the ground. Grandma gave a have smile "Some children don't even have a family or food"
Littlefoot looked up shocked "Really?". Grandma nodded sadly "Yes it is sad but true,there are many straving children out there you should be graceful for how much you do have then complain about how much you don't:.
Litlefoot rubbed along his grandparents "I will Grandma"
Days passed and Nahla still wandered the Mysterious Beyond,she had found a few herds but all refuse to take her after hearing she was the daughter of Hades.
She still hasn't forgot that voice and the thing about her needing to go to the Great Valley.
"How do I even get there?" she complained out loud.
"Follow the bright circle past the rock that looks like a longneck,and past the mountains that part,I'll be with you Nahla" the same voice from last time whispered then faded.
Nahla shook her head and looked into the distance,the burning mountains were a good 2 day week at least. "You gotta be kidding me..." she complained.

Wow, I am really really hating this Hades more and more as the story progresses, so dark and devious and cruel; in a category all his own, even worse than Scar :o

Chapter 6:
Nahla limped across the land. She stopped and looked around again the voice whispered "Don't give up".
Nahla growled "When I find out who you are I'm gonna slap you".
The voice chuckled "My my dear,your sure grumpy today:.
Nahla rolled her eyes "Course I am! My mother is dead,I'm lost,I'm tried and hungry".
A tree-star blew and landed in front of the child,Nahla seemed confused "Erm thanks creepy ghost lady...but I must go now" she picked up the tree-star and fled.
A figure appeared,Mother shook her head "She is perfect for Littlefoot,I just hope all goes to plan".

Around a year,so they are older then the series/movies.
Ali does not appear in this story at all.
Sorry Littlefoot/Ali fans but I'm doing the rare Littlefoot/OC wahahha.

Heheh just playing around with yah,cause Nahla's seriousness is sold separately.
This will actally be a whole series.
The series about Littlefoot and Nahla going on one crazy adventure after another..
Ok that the basic plot for all episdoes and movies...
Well Nahla inherits the Shadowlands,not sure what she will do with them though.

Chapter 7:
A lizard bolted as Nahla placed her foot on the rock it was sleeping on,she began her climb up the mountain. Suddenly she slipped "HELP!" she screamed but well knowing no one was around. But luckily she managed to regain her balance. Sighing with relief she began looking around for a easier way up. She saw a set of stones forming something like a staircase,smiling she scaled over to them.
"Much better" she said jumping up the stone staircase. Reaching the top she looked around,there not to far away was the burning mountains,only about another hour or so walk.
She saw a bridge like stone leading to a small meadow with,bushes,trees,sweet bubbles and WATER!.
Nahla grinned and began bolting towards it,sadly as she reached there another longneck stood in her way.
"Who are you?" the large male demanded.
"I'm....I'm Nahla I just escaped the Shadowlands-"
"THE SHADOWLANDS?!! GET OUT OF HERE SHADOWLANDER!" the male shouted cutting her off,the rest of the herd began to chase her away.
Nahla screamed as she slipped and began to tumble down a rocky slope,she landed in the mud.
Nahla rasied her head and coughed,blood ozzing from her sides,standing up she tried to sneak around the herd just for a drink of water but they would not let her.
The child sighed and sat down a few feet away from the happy content herd not one of them caring for her,Nahla looked up at the sky "Why did you leave me Mother?" she asked tears in her eyes "I don't want to live anymore..not without you" she plopped herself down and cried her heart out,the sound echoed for miles.
However not one of the herd members came to her.
Not one

Chapter 8
Nahla slowly awoke with a yawn,blinking a few times. Standing up she began walking knowing she was vulnerable out in the open. With her head held low,searched the ground for any signs of water. But she had no luck.
"Nahla" the same voice whispered and blew a tree-star over to her.
Nahla shocked walked over to it and jumped back when water began to appear.
"Drink up,find The Great Valley" the voice whispered.
Nahla lapped up the water,but she was confused. Who was this voice? Why did it seem to want her to go to The Great Valley so bad?. She shook her head and walked on a gentle breeze following her. Nahla suddenly stopped when she thought she saw another longneck,full of hope she sprinted towards them only to crash into a stone. Nahla glared up at the rock that looks like a longneck rubbing her head "Fiddlesticks" she compained . Well least she was on track now.

Littlefoot laid on a ledge as his Grandparents finished their breakfast. He was thinking about what Grandma said about other children starving. The thought saddened him. He wished there was something he could do. Standing up he turned and walked back to his Grandparents.
Grandpa stared down at his grandson,"Whats wrong Littlefoot?" he said gently.
Littlefoot sighed "I was thinking about what you said yesterday..it just makes me sad".
Grandma reached down and nuzzled him "It's fine little one,you don't need to worry about that right now,that is something you must leave to us grown ups,understand?"
Littlefoot nodded "Yes Grandma".
Standing a few feet away was a faint figure of another longneck "Soon my son,soon" she whispered looking at Littlefoot "Soon you will meet the one your fated with and together you will save" she chuckled and vanished

Keep posting! Your fic is good and short chapters are easier to read, especially if you're in a hurry and haven't much time :yes

If you think about it this story so far sounds like Prologue to the RP.

Just one thing, mostly spelling-wise: Standing up she began walking knowing she was venerable out in the open.
I think the word you meant was 'vulnerable'. Venerable means "Noble" :)

Microsoft Word has spell-checker options, though, if you have Word. I've found they're really useful to my stories :)

Chapter 9

"There must be an underground river or something..but it's warm" Nahla commented lapping it all up pleased with herself. Though she was thankful for the water,what she wanted was food. She looked down at the hole that was once again full of water,then she realized why...it was an underground river all right but she glanced up,she found out why it was warm. Now rushing towards her was a river of fire water. The burning mountains were erupting.

Chapter 10
Hii bonde la mauti [This valley of death]
Hakuna klika [No escape]
Matumaini yoyote aliyepotea [Any hope is lost]
Zilizooza mbali katika nchi Hiikivuli [Rotting away in this Shadowland]
The Shadowlands residents were still mourning over the deaths of Nani and the children. No one finding it odd Nahla's body was never found,even if she was eaten there would still be bones.
Hades could care less,he was glad they were dead. They weren't fit enough to live in the Shadowlands and to be called part of his herd.
The black male laid on his ledge that looked over the wasteland that was once a leaf eaters paradise.
Fed up and hungry and stomped down to where the females were "Whats this? Stop sobbing and get to work!" he shouted to the ones in charge of finding food.
The lead of the search party,Rina stepped forward "Hades we are doing our best but the land is dead" she sighed "And besides we are still in mourning".
Hades rolled his eyes "Well stop mourning and get over it! Your Shadowlanders not some whiny Great Valley crybaby!".
A longneck child appeared beside Hades and laughed "Heheh Great Valley Crybabys".
Hades glared down at the child and smiled "Theres my special guy". The females rolled their eyes.
Ares was just like his father expect he had a stripe of silver running down his back,and like Nahla a blaze but like his stripe it was silver.
Ares already talked about how we was 'gonna grow up and be just like his father'.
Most of the females with children kept their young ones away from the 'devil child'. Even now as Ares was there the mothers stood over their own young.
Ares grinned he adored his father. Hades turned his head back to the herd "Get to work" he growled his eyes glowing.
The food searching took off,though they knew their chance of finding something was slim.
Hades turned to the remaining feamles "Rest of you...come with me".

I used Swahili cause to me thats what the Shadowlanders speak I love the language ,I'm just making them talk in english for understanding what they are saying. They know english or as they call it 'Great Vallyen' in my fics Swahili is called 'Shadowlandlish. I know the names stick sush. Nahla spoke Shadowlandish a few chapters ago 'Beso Bo' means farewell.

Chapter 11

Nahla froze in panic as the fire water got closder,she turned tail and sprinted away,a small bit burning the tip of her tail. Used to much worse pain Nahla did not even seem to flinch but she did clench her teeth. She jumped on a rock,she would be safe for a bit however she knew she would need to find something higher as the fire water river was rising fast and soon her rock would be surrounded.
Looking around she spotted a ledge,it was a huge risk to try the jump but not as risky as the one she took in the Shadowlands. Taking a deep breath she used everything she had to leap,she stumbled on landing,shaking her head she regained her balance. Sighing with relief she looked down. The rock she was on minutes ago was now submerged by the firewater. If she was still on there she would be boiled longneck.
Nahla padded across the slop looking for a safe spot to slide back down,in the distance about a few hours away she spotted walls surrounding a valley like area,her heart filled with hope. Was this The Great Valley?.
The pink female walked on glancing up at the sky crying in the Shadowlander language "Mama,Wewe aliahidi Ningependa kuwa huko, wakati mimi zinahitajika wewe, wakati milele mimi kuwaita jina lako ... yako siyo mahali popote .. mimi nina hivyo peke yake" [Translation: Mother,You promised you'd be there,whenever I needed you,when ever I call your name...your not anywhere..I'm so alone.] tears fell from her eyes.

New thing I'm adding that will speak (sometimes) Swahili but there will always be a translation beside it,however they will still speak in english,save poor me double the work.

The bright circle began to rise above The Great Valley
Nahla arrived on top of The Great Wall and was looking down into the distance amazed at what she saw,once again the figure standing next to her "This is it my dear" she smiled.
Nahla grinned "I did it! Thanks Miss Jenna!" she hugged the figure.
Jenna smiled "No problem Nahla,go on in. Your heart will lead you the rest of the way" with that the figure started to fade "Don't mess up my son" she whispered to herself said looking forward spotting Grandma,Grandpa and Littlefoot sleeping.
Nahla took a death breath and began to try and climb down,only to trip and tumble head first "Ow..." she moaned and got up. With a sigh she began to walk through the valley her head swinging side to side in amazment. Luckily hardly anyone was up yet so no one spotted the Shadowland padding through their valley. Not looking where she was going she crashed into a large grey body. Gasping she turned tail and bolted.
Grandpa felt someone bumping into him,he looked over but whoever did it was gone "Hello?" he called standing up alerting Grandma too.
They both began to follow a shuffling sound. Littlefoot ran after them "Whats going on?" he asked them, Grandma looked down at him "Stay here little one" she told him looking around.
Nahla tried to climb up a hill but it was slippy due to morning dew.she slipped and tumbled down striking her head on a large rock with enough force to split her head open,however Nahla luckily escaped that today.,Nahla could feel her eyes slipping close..which she hoped was forever.
"Oh...my...goddess" Grandma gasped in complete horror staring at Nahla. The young child was so thin you could see all her bones and covered in blood and cuts,and more blood was still pouring. Even as she lied in that spot a pool of blood was already forming and was quite large already.
Littlefoot was in shock "Grandma..Grandpa?"
Grandpa looked around in panic "Littlefoot..go back to the nest please" he said calmly.
Grandma nodded "Yes dear please" they did not want Littlefoot to see this.
Littlefoot took one last glance at Nahla and bolted.
Last thing Nahla saw before her mind blacked out,was two massive heads lowered over her.

Grandma and Grandpa glanced at each other in complete shock,to them it was like a nightmare come to life.
Grandma looked around "What do we do" the terrified female cried. Grandpa looked down at Nahla giving her a gentle nudge "I..I'm afraid we won't be able to save her,not in this state...theres no hope she.... won't survive" Grandpa said blinking back tears for the young lost soul.
Grandma stomped her foot refusing to accept that "She will! We can save her! Please just try dear! She is somebodys child,we can't just let her die" Grandma sobbed.
Grandpa sighed "Ok,we can do our best" he turned and grabbed some tree-stars and dipped them in a nearby stream. Using the tree-stars he began wiping away the blood on the infant longneck.
Littlefoot was watching from the nest and shaking,he never been so scared-and he was not the one injured!. He just hoped the other kid would be ok,she looked so dead to her...reminded him of his mother's motionless afte she d-. Littlefoot shook his head to get rid of those thoughts and looked back at the female longneck child,his heart began to flutter. She was beautiful-even though she was splattered in blood. Littlefoot amused when she was all cleared up she would be gorgeous. He had no idea what these feelings meant though.
Grandma began wrapping ferns around Nahla's body to stop more blood from pouring and to cover those sicking wounds,her ribs stuck out like a sharptooth in a herd of swimmers though. She was very underweight,Grandma was beginning to wonder if she ever even ate....in her life..
More cleaning soon revealed a pure white blaze on her face. Grandma and Grandpa glanced at each other...they were sure they seen that same marking before.
They just shrugged it off though,after wrapping enough tree-stars around the child that you could hardly even see her body,Grandma and Grandpa stepped back "All we can do now is wait and hope" Grandpa commented gravely.
Nahla began to moan as her light blue eyes began to open,she let out a gasp of pain. She turned her head and saw all her 'bandages'.
Grandma and Grandpa walked forward "Oh we were so worried!" Grandma plopped herself down next to the confused and terrified child.
Grandpa nodded "Just one question....who are you?"

Nahla's rise rose in fear "I'm....uh...I'm....N-n-Nahla" the child stammered shaking.
Grandma rubbed her head against that of Nahla "Hello Nahla,no need to be scared we're here to help you. We are worried about you" she whispered in a calming motherly tone.
Nahla leaned into the touch her eyes drooping close as she drifted in and out of sleep.
"It's all right" Grandma kept on whispering as she kept on rubbing,she slightly turned her head to face her mate "Go and get her something to eat,she needs a good meal and she needs one now".
Grandpa nodded and turned sprinting to where he knew there were some fruits,almost colliding with his grandson "Sorry Littlefoot!" he shouted as he managed to dodge the young one just in time.
Litttlefoot stared after his Grandpa confused,he turned his head to see his Grandma comforting the pretty girl. Littlefoot plopped down to think "Why am I having these feelings?" he whispered to himself. Raising his head when he heard loud footsteps as Grandpa came sprinting back past. Littlefoot was now way too curious,he got to his feet and walked to where the other longnecks were.
Grandpa placed the fruits in front of Nahla "Eat young one,this will make you feel better and less tired" he said softly as he could tell the child was traumatized,but over what he did not know.
Nahla weakly opened her mouth and picked up a fruit,she starting chewing only to spit back out. The large fruit hurt her mouth she could not chew it properly.
Grandma sighed in panic,the child could not eat without pain but she needed to eat or die of starvation,thinking quickly she broke the fruit in half and took out the soft inside tossing the hard skin away "Here try this" she said giving Nahla the soft fruit inside.
Nahla picked up the soft treat in her mouth and closed her eyes as she chewed. The sweetness of the fruit healed her aching mouth. She swallowed licking her lips and opening her eyes.
Grandpa smiled "Did you like that?"
Nahla nodded in response.
Grandma got the other pieces and began to take out the soft inside "Want some more?" she asked placing in once again in front of the child.
Nahla's face lighten up as she tore into her meal,though it would take a long long time for her to get up to just an 'ok' weight. This one meal gave her strength but she was not out of the woods she was still at risk of starvation.
Littlefoot tilted his head,he was so confused. Who was this girl? Where was her family? Why did she seem so sick and injured?. "Is she ok?"
Grandpa turned hearing his grandson "Afraid not Littlefoot" Grandpa decided to just be honest to his grandson,lying would just hurt him even more "She is a very sick child and needs a lot of looking after".
Littlefoot looked deeply saddened "Is she one of the starving children you told me about?".
Grandma raised her head "Yes my little one,I believe she is. She must be abandoned or a runaway" Grandma sighed sadly wondering who let such a young child get in such a awful condition.
"Or she could of just been separated or sadly just a flatout orphan" Grandpa added.
Nahla starting weeping "Mummy....mummy" she cried.
Grandma whipped her head around and nuzzle the child "Shh shhh,did you get separated from your mummy?".
Nahla shook her head "Mummy died"
Grandma and Grandpa gasped in horror "Oh we are so sorry the hear that" Grandpa said coming closer to the child.
Tears filled Littlefoot's eyes he mind filling with unwanted memories...
The sharptooth...the earthshake...the storm...his mother lying there...her eyes closing forever. Littlefoot shook his head not wanting to think about that. But now he felt more connected to Nahla,they both experienced the same tragic event no child should ever have to-the death of a mother.
Grandma noticed her grandsons sadness and was sure she knew why,her mind drifted to her daughter-Jenna. Littlefoot's beloved mother she was jerked from her thoughts by Grandpa's next question.
"Where are you from little one?" Grandpa asked also laying next to her,he wanted to know wherever she was homeless or not.She looked like she did not have a home,skin and bones and looking like she never had a bath in her life.
The next two words Nahla spoke shocked Grandma and Grandpa like a zap in the heart.
"The Shadowlands"

Ok time for a real update

Grandma and Grandpa stared at each other in shock. "The Shadowlands?" Grandpa mouthed. Grandma looked down at the child concerned,they knew the penalty of Shadowlanders coming into the valley-death.
If someone spotted Nahla,even though she was only a kid she was a Shadowlander she will be slaughtered.
Grandma and Grandpa did not know what to do,they could not just toss her back out of the valley. And they did not want to kill her,but if someone found out she was here she will die,
Grandma thought for a moment "She can stay with us....but we gonna have to keep her hidden".
Grandpa was startled by this idea "You sure about this?" he asked his mate who nodded.
"Yes,look at her she needs help. She's dying! She needs us!" tears formed in Grandma's eyes and she turned to nuzzle the young one.
"It just..if someone finds out we hiding a Shadowlander....we'll be banished" Grandpa agured.
Grandma turned to him in anger "What do you want me to do then? Toss her out in the Mysterious Beyond so she slowly dies? Turn her in so she can be painfully slaughtered? Murder her?!!!" Grandma took a deep breath and looked away "Sorry it just she reminding me so much of.....her...and them" Grandma said thinking of her old friends back in their old herd,they were murdered in cold blood and their daughter was kidnapped by Hades...her name was Nani and Grandma saw so much of her in Nahla.
Grandpa sighed in defeat "Your right...we'll keep her here. But no one must find out this" he turned to Littlefoot who was listening to everything shocked and confused "Not even your friends Littlefoot,you must not tell them otherwise....".
"Nahla will die?" Littlefoot finished for him "And we will be...".
"Banished" Grandma finished for Littlefoot "Yes,promise us you will not tell ANYONE even your friends about Nahla".
Littlefoot nodded "I promise".
Nahla was half listening eating her fruit,she was shocked these longnecks were gonna let her stay with them,she looked up "T-t-thank you fruits".
Grandma smiled and laid back down next to Nahla rubbing her gently "Your welcome little one,would you like to live with us now?"
Nahla was shocked "You mean it? Then...yes! You's are sooo kind to me and you give me yummy food!" she leaned forward and hugged Grandma's head.
Littlefoot's heart was doing flips,he really really really liked Nahla. But he did not get all these feelings,he decided to talk to his Grandparents about it later.
Grandpa glanced at his Grandson and raised an eyebrow but chuckling realizing what was going on with him.

Nahla and Nani were laying on a ledge near the Shadowland boarders. Nahla laid on her mothers head looking up at the stars "Mummy...what are those stars for?".
Nani chuckled "They are to light our way".
Nahla looked down "Oh".
Nani lowered her head making her daughter slide off,she held her youngest in her arms (front legs) "But some stars are special,they are the spirits of our ancestors,they up there all the time watching over us. As stars in the night and sky puffies in the day".
Nahla was amazed "Really?"
Nani smiled "Really,if you really listen had enough you can hear the stars twinkle. That our ancestors singing to us...comforting us".
Nahla closed her eyes "I don't hear anything".
Nani chuckled "Don't worry love,they are there..maybe they just shy tonight" she laughed nudging the child with her nose.
"Mum!" Nahla screamed laughed jumping on her head and looking back up to the sky "I wanna hear the twinkles" she whispered.

Tears formed in Nahla's eyes she could of sworn she heard a twinkle..out there somewhere...

Littlefoot sat a few feet away,completely in love.
Grandma watching him chuckled but she was worried about what will happen if Littlefoot pairs up with a Shadowlander,he would be thought of as a traitor.
Nahla shifted herself and sighed,life was peaceful here. But how long would that last? She raised her head to look back at the adults that helped her...they helped her,she never knew someone could do that. It amazed her.
Grandpa walked forward carrying some more of the fruit she had before,like Grandma did before he removed the shell and gave her the inside.
Nahla happily ate her meal,this food was soo good she wanted to eat it...forever.
Grandpa dropped some of the fruit next to Littlefoot,taking off the shell for him as well "A sweet for dinner tonight" he chuckled leaving the young ones to eat. And standing next to his mates side. "You sure about this?" he whispered.
Grandma nodded "Cause I am we just have to be careful"

Picking up where last one left off.
Let the romance begin!

Nahla leaned fully into Littlefoot enjoying his company and the warmth he was bringing. She trusted him completely,even though she only met him today. There was just something about him..she just trusted him. She thought him as friend she could count on someone she would want to be with when she was an adult...someone she could... Her eyes rose in shock when she realized what was going on-she had fallen in love..not that she minded Littlefoot to her seemed like the most amazing dinosaur she had ever met...well next to her mother of course.
While Nahla sorted out her thoughts,Littlefoot was dealing with his own. Nahla sent shivers down his spine,the way her eyes were sparkling reminded him of the sky on a clear star filled night. He laid his neck around her to keep her warm for she had nothing on her body to keep herself warm naturally. She was beautiful to him,she was the most amazing dinosaur he ever met...next to his mother and grandparents of course. From what he heard she had had an abusive life,the thought broke his heart. What kind of monster would want to hurt such a perfect beautiful angel like Nahla? He shrugged off the thought and instead just focused on making Nahla's life better,he won't let anyone hurt her here. Wherever it be Cera or Cera's dad.
Nahla closed her eyes with a sigh using his chest as pillow. She could feel his chest rising and falling with each breath he took. It seemed like Littlefoot and her were the only beings on earth,it just felt right...like this was meant to be. She chuckled silently to herself thinking it was because of Littlefoot the Great Valley had the word Great in it. She knew of course it wasn't,Littlefoot was more the great anyway.
Littlefoot was thinking the same thing about Nahla. He wanted her to stay by his side forever,he knew if she left. He would be lost in this world. He smiled as she rubbed her head on his chest like he was some kind of pillow he chuckled and said so "I'm not a pillow" he said in a joking tone.
Nahla giggled but did not open her eyes "Yes you are" she said in the same tone as Littlefoot "Treestar pillows are soo yesterday".
Littlefoot joking rolled his eyes but did not ask her to move.
Nahla yawned "Goodnight Littlefoot" she said licking him before dozing off almost instantly.
Littlefoot smiled and gave her a small kiss on the head "Goodnight Nahla,sleep well" with that he too dozed off,his neck wrapped around her body.

It was huddled up together Littlefoot and Nahla were found the next morning.
Grandma and Grandpa smiled at the adorable sight but they were worried,what would others think? They were letting their grandson be with a Shadowlander-a member of the Great Valley's biggest rivals.
Grandpa's concern of this was shown on his face his mate noticed this and glanced at him with a frown "Whats wrong?" she asked.
Grandpa sighed "I'm worried about what will happen if this gets found out".
Grandma's gaze drifted to a tree-star that was blowing across the ground with the gentle morning breeze "They won't..but if they do they can deal with it".
The old male next to her let out a heavy sigh knowing Grandma was determined to have Nahla stay here with them. "Oh right,you win."
Grandma chuckled "I always do dear".
Grandpa joined in her chuckling rubbing her head with his "Just hope Hades does not get word of this and try and come after her. He normally does not let anyone leave his herd without his will...and I someone doubt he have Nahla his will...wait a second..." Grandpa cut himself off.
"With her age...and being from The Shadowlands...." Grandma added up in her head "That means she must be....."
"Hades's daughter" Grandpa finished for her.

Grandma and Grandpa were looking at each other with concern,Nahla was the daughter of a monster.
Grandma's gaze drifted to the children and her heart melted,it was just too sweet.
Litttlefoot had his neck wrapped around Nahla in a protective manner,Nahla had her tail wrapped up with Littlefoot's both were still fast asleep.
Grandpa frowned-she was Hades daughter,she could be here as part of a scam but then again...he thought as his gaze too drifted she does seem very nice and honestly terrified,scared and alone.He chuckled watching Littlefoot and Nahla,looks like they felt the love last night.

Hades paced around the cave,he was annoyed.At what? Who knew he could be annoyed by something as little as a buzzer flying into his lands.
Ares watched his father pace,he admired him.If only his half siblings..what were their names again? Oh yeah Ben,Lily and Nahla..if only they were like him they'll still be alive..oh well just makes him better.
"She's alive.." Hades snarled suddenly "I can feel it..she's alive".
Ares tilted his head in confusion "Who dad?".
Hades stomped his foot angrily "NAHLA!" he stormed out of the cave and walked up to a young fremale "Zoey..." he began "I need you to go to the Great Valley..."

Zoey stepped back in surprise "The Great Valle,Sir?" she asked.
Hades sighed "Yes The Great Valley,I need you to see if Nahla went there".
Zoey frowned in confusion "Isn't Nahla dead? I thought she died alongside Nani,Lily and Ben".
A loud whack could be heard as Hades bought down his tail "I can feel she is alive".
The female sighed "Why me?".
"Because your my best female" Hades replied with an almost smile "Your the mother of my heir after all".
Zoey sighed "Why Ares? Why MY son?" she asked.
"Because" Hades said like he explained many times "The others were duds".
"Thats not very nice to say Hades" Zoey said calmly.
Hades stared at her "Your lucky your the mother of Ares..if not you'll be getting the death plenty for that" he snapped turning and walking off leaving Zoey alone.
Zoey sighed and looked up to the blackened sky,if Nahla was alive she would have to bring her back here. She bit her lip trying to decide if to lie wherever Nahla was in the valley.

Nahla and Littlefoot yawned and rolled over,their muzzles touching the others.They opened their eyes and saw what they were doing and quickly sat up blushing.
Littlefoot chuckled admiring how beautiful Nahla looked in the daylight,she was stunning.
Nahla stood on her feet and walked down to where Grandma and Grandpa were with some treestars,she was ready for a meal.
Jumping to his feet Littlefoot followed her,he was completely in love.
Nahla turned her blazed face to Littlefoot "Have a good sleep?" she giggled.
The young male nodded "Yeah I did,did you?"
The female longneck giggled again "Yeah I did thank you,best sleep I had in a while".
"Thats good" Littlefoot smiled stopping next to her grinning "Nahla I...."
Nahla didn't say anything but leaned in to give Littlefoot a big ole kiss on the muzzle.

Littlefoot and Nahla broke away blushing,they looked at the ground pretending nothing happened.
Grandma chuckled at the two "Sorry I didn't mean to spoil your lovey dovey moment" she said walking away to leave the two alone.
Littlefoot blushed even more but he was happy,he now knew Nahla loved him..if she didn't why would she go to kiss him?. He glanced over to Nahla..his new girlfriend..they didn't even have to say any words it was like she could read his mind. He was cut from his thoughts by Nahla nuzzling him.
"What were you gonna say?" she asked feeling embarrassed she tried to kiss him with no warning.
"I....I'll tell you tonight" Littlefoot said. He knew a hill in the valley that at night was so romantic,the perfect place to tell Nahla,though he knew in his heart she already knew,they were a couple,bonded without words. They didn't need to tell each other..but they should just to make sure.
Nahla leaned into her love,he was hers,She knew that in her heart. She already knew what she was going to tell her,she was gonna admit his love to her and hers to him,he was her boyfriend and no one was going to take that off her. She broke away after hunger got the better of her and she starting eating a pile of tree-stars Grandma left for them.
Littlefoot also began eating without realizing it they both picked up the same tree-star and chewed it only to give each other a 'kiss' on the lips.
Nahla broke away blushing,she couldn't believe that was her first kiss,and an awkward first kiss at that.
Littlefoot looked down and found a small berry among the tree-stars,he loved them but glanced at Nahla nudging it over to her.
Nahla giggled and chewed it slowly licking Littlefoot on the cheek after she swallowed.
Grandma and Grandpa were watching from a distance,they glanced at each other smiling,it reminded them so much of their younger days. Seeing Littlefoot and Nahla's love blossom was a beautiful thing to them,they just hoped no one would try and ruin it.

Zoey was walking the same path Nahla did not to long ago,only she did not have a guide. She looked around the barren land completely lost. She sighed heavily before walking forward again. She looked to the ground and noticed very faint footprints of what looked to be a young longneck. A thoughtful look spread across her face,she could just follow the trail and it might lead her right to Nahla. The grey female looked up into the distance,far in the distance she could fee very faint figures of mountains and the tracks lead that way. Hoping for the best she walked in that direction.

Nahla was happy,she found the love of her life in Littlefoot. She leaned into the male next to her a smile on her face,she started to wonder if her mother never died wherever she would of met Littlefoot at all. The thought saddened her,she missed her Mother and would love to be with her right now but...she thought looking up to the sky puffy filled sky in a way...she was she could feel her in her heart,as her brother and sister perhaps this was what was meant to happen,maybe this is what the Circle of Life planned for her all along.

Hades was pacing around the den he slept in,he just came back from seeing Zoey off. She better come back with Nahla-or else. He walked out of the den as lightning flashed across the land,Hades black scales almost blending in with the barren plains. The reds looking like ghosts in the dark,chilling and taunting. He held his head high as he marched towards his females who had found food,looking very proud of himself. They were all his,this land was his. He was the most powerful of them all,

Later that night Littlefoot was leading Nahla to the hill,he looked back to see his hopefully future girlfriend and maybe even wife.
Nahla's blue eyes sparkled brighter than the stars themselves.It was as if they were a door to heaven it's self. The smile on her face could put the bright circle to shame even on the more sunny days.
"We're here" Littlefoot said turning his head back around and walking up a gentle slope.
Nahla tilted her head in wonder but followed him before gasping "Wow" she said amazed at the view,you could see the whole valley "I never seen anything so beautiful".
I have Littlefoot thought staring at Nahla "Nahla can I tell you something?"
"Sure!" Nahla exclaimed rubbing him.
"Nahla..I have this feeling....you make me so warm and happy...and your beautiful and I..." Littlefoot trailed off.
Nahla held her breath "You what Littlefoot?"
"I love you" Littlefoot whispered so he couldn't even be heard.
"Huh?" Nahla asked
"I love you" Littlefoot said more loudly.

Littlefoot smiled,she was all his and he would not have it any other way he wrapped his neck around Nahla's pulling her into a hug. He buried his head into her chest,feeling the beat of her heart,it was almost lullabying him to sleep.
Nahla WAS asleep ,she breathed softly. She was to weak to stay awake any longer.
Littlefoot chuckled kissing her "Sleep now my love,I'll protect you"

Littlefoot joined her and they were now bonded for life,they rubbed their heads against each other,they could feel the others heart beating in time with their own. They were now one.
Grandma and Grandpa overheard and saw everything,they looked at each other smiling but concern also showed on their faces.This could not get out. Littlefoot would be killed too,he would be considered a traitor,just the thought of their grandson dying horrified the old longnecks.
Littlefoot broke away from Nahla frown on his face.
Nahla tilted her head "What is it?" she asked concerned.
"Trouble" Littlefoot replied.
Mr Threehorn was making his way towards the resting place.
