Not a caption, but Littlefoot just looks really weird here. Almost like he a plushy or something with a vacant stare.

^ I can see what you mean.  Unless he is listening intently to someone right it front of him, his expression is quite odd to say the least.

Littlefoot: I wanted a bath; but not like this. I still don't see how some dinosaurs like relaxing in mud pools; yuck.  :x

After a long hard day at boot camp, Littlefoot, tired but triumphant, emerges far, far tougher than used to be. Covered in mud from a crawling drill, it shows his tenacity and resolve to be a leader to the gang.
