Yep! It's still coming out!

I'll at least give it a watch. :)

This is good news. Even though I have no enthusiasm for this movie in particular, its release would be a good way to show the world that the film industry will not cave in to the demands of hackers.
I will give it a watch if it is indeed released.
-
Awesome! I really wanted to watch this film :D
-
That's good news :smile
-
Good for them.. However, I have no interest in watching this movie. Even before the whole hacker mess started this movie just came across as stupid and childish.
-
What do you mean "stupid and childish"? We don't even know anything about it yet!!!! :nyah :nyah
(Red Claw, is that you???? )
-
Well, would you look at that! Looks like some theaters are showing it despite the threats.

It's also getting Video On Demand the same day. Got nothing against it. :)

I love all these conspiracy nuts claiming that the hacking was just a marketing ploy by Sony to promote this movie. Like Sony would really release private emails of their high ranking officials making racist remarks and whatnot. (And I have to wonder if the emails released by the hackers were even real to begin with.)
And in order for this stupid conspiracy to work, Obama and the FBI would have to be on Sony's payroll as well.

At this point, I'm going to watching it just as a show of resistance to North Korea.
-
as Mike Myers (as Dr Evil ) put it : your act of war is to kill a MOVIE? Its easy to kill a movie. You move it to January.'
this movie was probably going to bomb anyway as its not funny, killing foreign leaders in movies has become cliche at this point, and America World Police did the " flip off North Korea'' bit better. but now it has all the pub you could ever want for a film, and folks will see it who otherwise wouldnt have seen it.
-
Exactly. If anything, North Korea ensured that everyone and their dog is going to see this film now, if only as a "Screw you" right back at them.
-
I didn't even know about the movie until it was in the news because of all this. So yeah, guess it got more popular...
-
Russia is offering "emotional support" to North Korea over this. Maybe there should should be a sequel with Vlady Boy.
-
Emotional support? Really? Geez, it's just a movie.
Anyway, me and my family are thinking of watching the movie on Youtube sometime this week. I still think it looks pretty funny.
