I could only beat it on the early levels of Connect 4 (3 and below). I think the object is to make the game tie on the harder levels, and therefore stop a computer from winning.

Ouch...
I actually was able to beat it on level 4 but I couldn't come close on anything higher.

Of course you beat a computer. You just need some boxing gloves and a crowbar.
On-topic now, when it comes to games where its man vs. computer, I can rarely do any better than, myself. I suppose it is possible to beat a computer, if you practicew enough...or find a way to cheap.

DAMN YOU MACHINE! :mad :bang :DD
I got a couple of wins on level 4 but I got slapped in the face EVERYTIME on anything above level 5! Sometimes I wonder if it IS actually possible to out think a machine. (They don't make movies like Terminator and I, Robot without some truth behind the action). I suppose a machine's A.I could outsmart a human given time to learn but humans always have the edge in their sometimes rash actions or ability to defy logic whereas a computer A.I can only follow the rules of what's logical. But still, I'm gonna beat this thing!
BRING IT ON CIRCUIT-BOY! You're going down!!! :lol

Apparently the higher levels you choose the further ahead the computer watches for possible moves. You're nothing short of a genius if you can outsmart something that can compute so many possibilities in a split second.
