Post by: WeirdRaptor on January 29, 2017, 07:38:36 PM: We just lost another one, two days ago. He apparently had pancreatic cancer and that's took him a mere three days after his 77th birthday. Rest in Peace, good sir. You were beloved by many people and rightly so.

Post by: rhombus on January 30, 2017, 01:07:21 PM: I have followed Mr. Hurt's work for a long time. In particular his performance in 'I, Claudius' and in the definitive version of 'Nineteen Eighty-Four' are among some of the best that I have seen. May he rest in peace.

Post by: Sovereign on April 24, 2017, 03:34:41 AM: The best known examples I know of were his roles in Watership Down as Hazel, Plague Dogs as Snitter and Lord of the Rings (1978) as Aragorn. I'm not sure if there are other ones but these are the ones I've seen.

Post by: The Chronicler on April 24, 2017, 08:00:16 PM: I honestly had no idea that guy was in so many movies. The only one I can recall for sure was his role as the War Doctor in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, Day of the Doctor, in 2013.
