Magnifico! Great work. How long did Tricia take to make?
-
I’m gonna be honest. At first glance, it looked like a pink elephant to me instead of Tricia. :lol
But good job on the custom plushies! I’ve done sewing before — with assisted instructions so I know what to do. You’re next level dude. :DD
-
Ah, the frill on her head looks like a star. :TreeStar She certainly gained a hot pink shade compared to light pink. :p
You can resize the images by adding a width modifier. [/img] so that it resizes appropriately. ^^

Very nice work!! She’s cute :chompysmile I wish I had the patience to make plushies, but alas, I do not. :PCera

@RainbowFaceProtege: Thanks for the picture resize! Now it doesn’t take up too much area. :)
Although, the first image is no longer available for some reason. It shows a black empty square instead. I’m on iPad (mobile). Is it also broken on PC guys?
And Jesus Christ, those links you put for your images are long as hell. This is only my preference, but I use Imgur for all of my photo needs. :yes

I can't see any of the pictures. :neutral

I can't see any of them either! Would love to see your plushie creations! :D
If you are uncomfortable hosting them on an image hosting site like imgur, you also have the option of attaching the photos to your post on the forum. Just press the "Attachments and other options" feature underneath a post :yes

Hey, they work now! Wow, that is one amazing Tricia. She looks cute. :)littlefoot
-
Yay, I can see her now! She looks really cute! I've always wanted to get into sewing, but it's quite daunting so I've never really done more than add pockets to pants that didn't have any (whyyy women pants, why?!) Taking on a plush project seems like quite some work. Well done!

Ah that looks great! How long does it roughly take to make one of these plushes?
-
More plushies! More plushies! :D

Only a day or two for something small like Tricia. It can be about a week for a more typical project, though.
More plushies! More plushies! :D
I plan to put another up today, just gotta take more pics! :chompysmile
Good! I wait in anticipation. :)

Ooh, a Guido fan I see. That’s nice! :)
That’s an adorable plushy of him you created there. The quality has improved in my opinion when compared to the Tricia plushy you made. I can’t wait to see what more you have to offer. :DD
-
Is The Great Day of the Flyers your favorite sequel or something? Both Tricia and Guido hail from that movie. :SmugSpike
Well, I like Guido too. The colors and posture rig match quite well. The bopper tail and his hairstyle is golden, though the expression of the plush looks confident instead of uncomfortably derpy, which is definite not an expression I see on Guido often. :p But it's nice!
-
This one's great! Guido is one of my favorite characters too. I really like the colors you picked for him.

As someone who specializes in plushies and for some reason hasn't gotten around to learning the sewing machine, adding pockets to pants seems pretty daunting to me. :lol
Haha! I don't know how to use a sewing machine either. Just winging it by hand and cursing the needle every time I accidentally poke myself in my fingers :PCera
-
Great job on Guido.,I like how you made his hair on his head and tail look seemless (literal use of the word this time). You seriously need to consider making these and selling them on etsy after the pandemic. :)
-
Can't go wrong with Guido. :)littlefoot Indeed, the quality of the plush is already vastly different to the Tricia one, in a good way. You made me want one right now.

Let us work together to convince RainbowFaceProtege to make em and sell em on etsy. ::D
-
:rainbowwave
-
Sell us some plushies. The people have spoken. :bestsharptooth
-
@RainbowFaceProtege For starters you could make a aurplus of Mos, Guidos, Chompers, and etc to sell omn etsy when you are ready. :D
@Anagnos Yes.. plushie! Plushie! Plushie! Lol :lol
-
:rainbowwave
-
Lol, you guys are crazy. Give this ecstatic guy a break. Take your time man! Continue improving your sewing craft overtime, and when you feel the time is right, perhaps then an Etsy shop is not out of the question. But until then, I look forward to praising or maybe critiquing whatever new plushies you’ve made for us to look at. :)

The pressure mounts...get away! *anxiety!!!* :opetrie
*deep breaths* Whew.
Okay, I'm not gonna say anything is impossible, but I sure can't make any promises, so let's correct that "when" to an "if." I mean, I picture myself making things to sell, and I can't help imagining scenarios like:
A) I end up losing more money than I make because I'm far from experienced in business ventures. (What's a reasonable price for custom plushies? Beats me.)
B) I can't manage to create anything that's flawless enough for me to put up for sale without my conscience nagging at me (you con artist, you're really gonna charge that for that??!).
C) A project rips during shipping because my hand-sewing is hardly invincible...
Soooo, yeah. Just not sure I'm there yet. :sducky
*Calls Carnotaur Posse off and Marketing Mosasaur* When you are ready, I will buy. Until then pics will suffice. :D

Thank you for understanding, I couldn't have said it better! And I openly welcome praise and critiques--anything to help me in my present goal of fine-tuning my craft!

:lol :lol :lol Good to know. Don't mind me discreetly slipping this Carnotaur tranquilizer into my pocket just in case. :PCera
*Sniffs* Ew.. the good stuff. I use those to sleep. :lol

Not gonna lie, I had a wide smile on on my face upon reading this reply. I knew someone was gonna point out the sheer irony of my statement, considering that I’m one crazy lunatic myself. :lol

Well, I kinda anticipated you to go in that direction with your comment. It would've been hella hypocritical for you to criticize others based on their activity, which is why I surmised that it was simply to poke innocent fun. And aren't we all a bit crazy? :wow

Well...I’d be shocked if you didn’t detect my sarcasm and humor in that post, since you should be one of the first people to definitely know if I’m being serious or not. I wouldn’t be a hypocrite on purpose, just sayin’. ;) :lol
And aren't we all a bit crazy? :wow
Haha, that's what I'm seeing--in the best way, though! :OhYou
That’s why I stated I loved your personality in your Welcome Post, because I knew you’d be the type of crazy that I like, since I’m basically that type of crazy. :lol

Rainbowtastic! 🌈
-
Honestly it looks okay to me, but I'm not really a nitpicker. You got the colors of the sky-colored snout right, at least. :p
-
@RainbowFaceProtege: Yep, yep, yep! :duckyhappy :lol I like crazy!
I agree. This rainbowface plushy you made reflects the inexperience that you had at the time. I’m not really keen on the facial expression you showcased here in combination with the T-Rex like posture you put the female into. But then again, it also kinda makes her look like a child pleading for something, adding a bit of humor to your creation. :lol
The tail could’ve ended more pointed instead of flat, and the feet could’ve been improved.
The colors you’ve chosen are basically on point. The blue stripes on her back were done nicely and the yellow underbelly is good as well. The head is also more or less accurate.
Despite the criticisms I’ve had in the beginning, it’s still an amazing plushy! Trust me, I could never make something even remotely close to whatever you do on a daily basis, at least without step-on-step instructions. I’m only a little more critical than usual because you seem very good at what you do.
:)littlefoot
-
While its not as superb as the Guido one, you've managed to replicate the rainbowface quite nicely here. The colors are mostly all spot-on, but the toning on the beak looks to be slightly off by how it is shaped. A small nitpick here and there, but the end result is anything but poor. It is indeed amazing when people put their skills to good use. You certainly would not see me doing this sort of thing, even though I did some in comprehensive school, but never on this scale. :)littlefoot
-
Good job. Technically you need two Rainbow Faces. I think you should make the pair. :)
-
:rainbowwave
-
I understand your own critiques, Rainbow, but again this plushie looks really adorable :D I love the fact that it can sit upright (which would be harder to accomplish with "proper" anatomy). Do you happen to remember how long this one took to finish?
-
:rainbowwave

More plushies! More plushies! Mlre plushies! :bestsharptooth
-
:rainbowwave

All these plushies are amazing! I don't think I ever seen such nicely stitched fan made plushies like these before! They re so adorbs! :Mo Don't worry, I won't go :TakeMoney over them. XD ...But I wouldn't mind paying for some yellowbelly plushies. :PCera (Just joking :bestsharptooth)
Also I can't wait to see your second Rainbow face! :chompysmile

Aww, thank you!
:lol :lol :lol
Fan-made plushies do seem to be rare, though I must say I once came across a really great Ducky someone crocheted. This felted one (https://secretlifeofyarn.wordpress.com/2013/11/14/drumroll-please/) is also amazing, though she seems to have a bit of an underbite.
Holy... the first thing I see when I open that link is Ducky without her eyes, and it was quite terrifying. But after a quick stroll, I can see they made quite good progress on it. I quite like the furry version of her, it is certainly unique.

Haha, can't blame you for that. :lol Beware Ducky when there's a full moon... :bestsharptooth
On a related topic, it creeps people out when they see plushies I've got in progress that I've put the eyes on but not yet attached pupils to. :p
I am now haunted bu this eyeless Ducky! :o

:rainbowwave
-
At last more plushies. :)
-
He holds his arms out like a kangaroo/T-rex. So intelligent, yet so derpy. :rainbowwave
-
While there's still the recurring T-Rex pose from last time, I really like the facial expression he has here. It makes him look derpy like Owls has stated. Haha, I like this rainbowface plushy much better than the previous one. :lol
-
:rainbowwave
-
Again, amazing job :wow I love that you give the plushies a personality, that adds so much life to them :D
-
Love the new addition to the collection. Their pose is very similar to almost every bipedal creature, but with it comes a certain adequate semblance that is fitting of their species.
-
Your skills are most impressive @RainbowFaceProtege. I still think Etsy needs your work. Bit no rush. ;)

Etta! Great job @RainbowFaceProtege ! It looks so professional!
-
Like Gentle said. This is amazing! :chompysmile
-
Well done! :)littlefoot
At first I thought the brown on her arm was the burn mark but it looks like it's just part of the wing. It's nice to see Etta getting some attention.
So how many plushes have you made so far?
-
Nice job RainbowFaceProtege!
-
:rainbowwave
-
That Etta plush looks magnificent. :bestsharptooth
-
I like the long crest/beak Etta has. :bestsharptooth
-
I can only echo what others have already said. Very nice work, once again!

@RainbowFaceProtege Ozzy and Strut! :OzzyAngry Yay! :chompysmile
Can't wait to see your future projects! :)petrie

:rainbowwave
-
YAY! STRUT! :bestsharptooth You did a wonderful job crafting him! I understand the time that was taken into making him. XD But the final product looks awesome!
-
He looks amazing! A very nice pose for him too. If I may offer some feedback: both Strut & Ozzy have darker spots on their hips & tails, as can be seen in this pic:
(https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/ea914385-70d7-476d-aa3b-37d0c449c464/da7tl0d-ba5f95f8-b480-41ad-b276-4b87d19bfd83.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOiIsImlzcyI6InVybjphcHA6Iiwib2JqIjpbW3sicGF0aCI6IlwvZlwvZWE5MTQzODUtNzBkNy00NzZkLWFhM2ItMzdkMGM0NDljNDY0XC9kYTd0bDBkLWJhNWY5NWY4LWI0ODAtNDFhZC1iMjc2LTRiODdkMTliZmQ4My5qcGcifV1dLCJhdWQiOlsidXJuOnNlcnZpY2U6ZmlsZS5kb3dubG9hZCJdfQ.5Caq1ppk14GPdvFu4KgoBkR1GOHMZpZG8_eqzU_Rw5Q)
Not sure how easy these would be to add, but I feel like adding the spots gives the plushies a little more personality! :)
I can totally understand not wanting to take on Ozzy immediately afterwards. Art is no fun when it feel repetitive :OzzyAngry
-
Great job on this Rainbow! One of these days you will need to show us a group shot of all the plushies together! :chompysmile
-
:rainbowwave

Love the reflection and history lesson of the prior rainbow face plushies you tried making. This fishy will always eagerly await for mo-o-ore of your projects in the future. :DD

She is amazing. The pair of them turned out so great and I'm glad they give you a lot of pride and happiness. Give them a hug from me :)

Finally, partners are together.
