Title: I Stand Alone
Post by: landbeforetimelover on July 05, 2007, 05:44:59 AM
I just was screwing around with some old home movies in movie maker and I decided to make an LBT music video.  It isn't great.  I don't really know how to use that program very well.  I have it available for download on filefront because I have a code in the beginning of the movie that makes it appear corrupted to most video splitters.  It plays and works just fine though.  I just decided to make some sort of protection.  Google video isn't safe.  You can just use an gvi to avi converter.  Youtube isn't safe cuz of the youtube downloading software out there.  This was the only thing I could do to try to protect myself.  Also, the posted video is of extremely low quality.  I could not upload the full 597mb nor did I want to.  I don't know why, but the song seems to cut off rather abruptly.  It's like that even in just the mp3.  Oh well.  It's my frist one.  For my first time even opening windows movie maker, I think I did pretty good.  What do you think?

BTW, there may be a few errors that are pretty noticable.  If there are, I'm sorry. I might have uploaded the wrong file.  I really screwed myself up with this video.  I have made so many extra files and folders, I don't know which is which anymore.  I can't see if I uploaded the right one or not cuz my mom thinks I'm sleeping.     I can't turn on my speakers to check if the audio turned out right.  Heck, it's almost 3 am here.

Still don't trust Filefront after what they did to me!

Anyways, anger aside, for a first time thing, this was good.  The only thing I really have to say is that the lyrics and the vid don't seem to go together, sadly. :(

Other than that, it was good.

Just keep it up, okay? :)

The link doesn't even work. Everytime I click on it, it quickly flashes a 404 in the address and then goes to the main page.

Filefront is having server redirect issues.  I uploaded it onto google video.  Here's the link:

As I have said, I hate music and I couldn't even understand the lyrics.  This was more of a test video than an actual one.  Probably took me 1 1/2 hours at most.  Even if I tried, I could never get as good as Darkhououmon.  I just looked under the new secton in limewire and randomly picked a song.  There was no complex planning envolved or anything.  I probably did it the hard way.  I used 3 programs; easy video splitter, movie joiner, and windows movie maker.  Using easy video splitter to make these scenes to the second was a pain in the butt.  I had to split each scene probably 8 times a piece.  I don't think I'll be doing another one till I find an easier way to split the video.  Also, only using LBT 2 severly limited the amount of "good" scenes I could use.  Windows Movie Maker will not accept my video codec so I am incapable of playing avi files.  I'll have to convert the video's which takes about 4 hours a piece.  My video re-encoder sucks.

I may not be cut out for this kinda thing.  I never understand the lyrics in any song except for LBT cuz there's subtitles.  I think I may have a hearing problem.  I have only had a priliminary anylasis, but it wasn't too good.  anyway, I hope this new link works.

Have you ever tried to actually look up the lyrics to a song? I do that all the time.

Nope.  Actually, this song is the first song I actually did anything with besides LBT songs.  I didn't even know you could look up the lyrics.

Yes you can. There are so many sites with lyrics to songs available. My personal favorite is azlyrics.com.

Cool.  I'll remember that next time.  If there is a next time.

I want there to be a next time, but I can't find any song.  How do you search for a song you don't even know exists?  I wanna try a soft song next time.  I don't know about any songs and none of the songs my mom has will do.  They're all religious or just too crazy to be put into a LBT music video.  There's no way I'd be able to put "girls just wanna have fun" into a music video.  Not gonna happen.  Any suggestions?

Well, what I do is I type in a single line. For example, I might put in something like "I'll destroy you", in quotations as well, and after that I type in "lyrics" (no quotations) and click Search, and I'll get some results of songs with that line in it.
