Title: YouTube's war on video downloaders
Post by: LittleDas75 on February 24, 2025, 02:01:50 PM
The free YouTube video downloaders have recently become not so free. In order to download videos above 360p they now force you to download a app called iFlyDown, but you need to use money in order to download the videos. How do I know this is YouTube's doing, because most of the video downloaders have this now and I have a feeling they didn't make this change willingly.

That's sad.

I use various free downloaders, switching them when one becomes outdated or paid.

Last time I used 4K Video Downloader. I didn't check if it's still free and works.

4K Video Downloader still appears to work, though they capped free downloads to 10 per day. Have you tried yt-dlp?
