My YouTube account has been disabled, so all my vids (the ones up on YouTube) are no longer available.

What were you uploading?  :P:  :P:  No all kidding aside, that's too bad.  I'm actually surprised they haven't come after Wayne and his account.

Actually I think it was because this was the "last straw" sort of speak, as earlier I had a bunch of Disney mvs removed. :: shrug :: Oh well, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I might move over to DailyMotion but I'm not so sure. I am considering going underground with the vids sort of speak, maybe using YouSendIt once again to upload the vids. Limiting, but safer.

Youtube sucks now that google took over.  You can't even upload a music video without them removing it.

Actually music videos were removed before Google took over. I used to have a bunch of Brother Bear mvs up before Google bought YouTube, and they were all taken down.

Well safer and limited is better than no vids at all I say! :^.^:

I might use YouSendIt, or I might use MySpace. I had a rumor saying that they never delete videos there, not even episodes or music videos, because they are privately owned and this protects them.

But I'm not sure if that is true or not. I'm skeptical.

I wonder if it has to do with the songs put to the music videos...could the artists be requesting removal?  I see a lot of (what would be illegal) accounts alive and well.  I don't get their policy I guess.

The Disney mv removals were removed because Disney complained and the last vid removed before my account closed was the result of 20th Century Fox complaining.

That's unusual...if you uploaded a film I'd see them being pissed off.  But music videos?  I see tv eps all over the place (Disney ones too) and they've been online for months now.

What were the Disney/Fox music videos about (or which shows)?

The Disney ones were mainly Brother Bear and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go mvs

Sorry to hear about that DH.  I have a simple solution though.  There is a site called vidilife.com and it will allow you to upload videos and even give you the html codes to embed the vids into a website.  You could just create a website with freewebs and encode the videos into the site itself.  They give you the code to copy and paste.  You don't even really have to know html.  All you'd have to do is put little <p> and <br> tags between each vid and description.  Very simple.

I checked out the site, but it doesn't seem much different from YT. How would it benefit me? It would give codes yeah, but what if the vids are removed? Wouldn't the code not work anymore?

If you read their agreement, they never check the vids unless someone complains about them and even after that, they don't ban you.  That's how I host the LBT tv series via their site.  They haven't even noticed! :D

I think the YouTube Terms of Service said something about uploading content with copywritten music. Music videos would fall under this category.

Well they can't get rid of them all.  What would they have left to show?

If that's such an issue, I should've been banned too, yet my account still exists.

I have heard that YouTube and Google plan on installing a device that will prevent people from uploading anything that is copyrighted to a company.

^ That would be called human resources to analyze each individual video. :P:

However, as I've heard more than once, YouTube relies on it's users to "flag" videos as inappropriate, which could be why they've gotten sued time and time again by the copyright holders.

It's a video recognition device that has been in development. It's not a person, it's a program.

Well the joke is how would a program know?  Only a human could descern the difference.

Apart from the loss of the beautiful music videos (you have them saved elsewhere though, don't you Kacie?) the banning of the videos might also affect the GOF in a more direct way. Considering how many of our recently joined members got the url of the GOF from youtube videos the banning of LBT music videos from youtube may result in a decrease of the number of new members joining our group. While I don't think the GOF is still dependent on advertisement to survive we might still want to consider if there are any other ways to let many people know about the url of the GOF.

That could be a problem, also. The only reason I found this site was after some intense Goggling and having my mind set to "finding a LBT fan site or bust". Even after I sorted through a few pages of results, I only found this site via a link on yet another fan site that wasn't in English. Some may not have that determination or time. Either way, this is a bit of a loss. I hope you saved the original videos you uploaded, DarkHououmon.

Yeah, its been stated if you find this place through any search engine, you got damn lucky.  -_-  You have a better chance of browsing the imdb boards to get a link here.

I've decided to use a spare, previously unused account of mine to host videos on YT.

http://www.youtube.com/user/Counterinsurgency (http://www.youtube.com/user/Counterinsurgency)

I do not know how long this account will last, though.

RorraStone is my primary account that I use the most often. I've subscribed to my own Counterinsurgency channel as a means of keeping an eye on it better, since I use RorraStone far more often.
