There are other video streaming sites like YouTube out there. Here's a few:

http://www.livevideo.com (http://www.livevideo.com)
http://www.veoh.com (http://www.veoh.com)
http://www.vidilife.com (http://www.vidilife.com)
http://www.megavideo.com (http://www.megavideo.com)
http://www.dailymotion.com (http://www.dailymotion.com)

Or what you could do is to use www.savetube.com, to actually download the Youtube vids. Although this is a great hassle, don't be put off by having to convert the files or anything. With a decent set of codecs even Media Player should be able to handle .flv files.

Are you using firefox?  For some reason, my firefox browser isn't streaming video anymore.  Probably a stupid auto update that made a worse situation.  Try using IE.

Yes they do, however When they are performing Site Maintenance, you can still watch videos, just not anything that adds/deletes something from The site. (ex: sending messages, commenting/rating Videos, deleted messages, etc.)

True, but I've had outages of streaming video when they're performing maintenence.  Should be simply expected.
